Chanson d'Eau Vanilla

Is a pretty versatile perfume, it smells fruity, but also a little bit gourmand in a really elegant and pretty way... not in a excessive, candy or tacky way... I tried on a store I was like "I don't like vanilla that much" But I do love ambar, I sprayed it on and when I smell it on myself I was like "wow" and the next day I bought it... if you're from Spain this fragrance is beautiful btw and my comparison might turn you off, this is purely subjective lol... but it smells like our metros in here, like the clean feeling of a metro when there's no one... you're looking and the view, and it's fresh airy, floral, cozy... you're going for a trip or something in the suburbs... that kinda of vibe... In a really hot weather is pretty wearable, although must people prefer fresh fragrance when outside... this is perfect for people who want a cozy fragrance for the cold seasons, but they don't like too strong or dark or too creamy fragrances but something more sweet and airy but that still has some sort of creaminess to it...

Natural floral vanilla (not like a cookie/cake/bakery). Pear nectar. Creamy. Awesome price for what it is. It's realistic to the above notes. Familiar and cozy . This isn't simply a body lotion scent from Bath & Body Works, this is more elegant. It's like Mod Vanilla but more womanly and romantic. It's like JPG La Belle, but more youthful, fun and flirty. That said, I would love to smell Mod, La Belle, and Chanson, on anyone, of any age. I love this 'family' of fragrance type. Surely if you like Mod and La Belle, you will enjoy this. I have no issues owning all three, because they are similar but obviously different. Sillage and duration shorter than Mod and La Belle of course, but fun to carry around and spray as much as you want.

as a vanilla/gourmand lover, this is so niceeeee. ofc it doesn't last that long since it's an edt, but it's still very worth it. it also has surprisingly good sillage for an edt. I bought this not long after it came out, so people didn't know about this like at all, and I was so surprised that I hadn't heard about it. very nice for a spring/summer vanilla. and for a 100ml bottle, that price is really great. I would say this also works nicely for layering.

This one is so good. I 100% agree it's amazing value for money. For me it's not so long lasting around 4hrs at best, but the scent is top notch for me. It's between god is a woman and mod vanilla. I wish it lasted longer this is my only concern. Sometimes I layer it with mod vanilla for more longevity. I would definitely repurchase this one.

I have the fragrance mist, will probably get the perfume too when it's available to me. Does anyone else get kind of a smoky scent from this? I'm not sure what note that is, but I don't dislike it. It smells like a nice, fresh and sweet vanilla jasmine incense to me.

Classic vanilla, with accompanying notes that gently seem to cool it down, yet it remains a composition with one dominant leading note. Very pleasant and enveloping, standing out in terms of projection for its quality-to-price ratio. A highly successful fragrance!

I love this! So cosy, a perfect fall scent. I smell the pear, vanilla and a bit woody smokiness, a perfect amount of smokiness. I'm so impressed, the price is so low and you get a stunning easy reach fragrance for fall and winter! Bottle is beautiful too!

I don’t believe how inexpensive this thing is and how good! Very cosy , sweet, ambery and a little smoky vanilla.Great scent ! It has a wow factor. Personally i like it a lot. Great value for money. I will try more from that brand.

If you love vanilla so much, you want to wear it all year, but you get bored easily and need to switch between seasons. This one is the SPRING vanilla, thanks to the fruity notes in the opening.

This eau de toilette is excellent value for money. It lasts a long time on skin and clothing, and smells beautiful. It's like a cross between Devotion and La Belle JPG once it has settled down.

Its literally like god is a woman by Ariana. I read a review like that and that’s why I blind bought it. It truly is.

Light vanilla scent. I imagine it would be a vanilla sex bomb if paired with Victoria’s Secret vanilla spray.

This is a light yet warm fruity ambery easy reach Vanilla. Has low sillage and projection. Pretty good longevity as a skin scent. Obvious for Edt strength but I have smelt some Edts with much better performance. I guess in this case you get what you pay for, as this is pretty affordable here in South Africa. I do like the glass bottle with cute wooden cap. The sprayer is pretty good quality as well. As for the scent itself, to me it smells like stewed Apples with some Pear, cooked in brown sugar water, with a dash of Vanilla essence added, then served in a wooden bowl. This is actually more woody then I expected. Im so surprised that there are no woody notes mentioned. I enjoy it in my collection. A definite like for all seasons.

It’s nearly winter and my annual obsession with the vanilla perfumes. This little beauty - what a gem, cheap as it is and ridiculously cheap on special offer (like on amazon recently) but it doesn’t smell cheap. I find it to be a grown up vanilla, it’s not the candy sweet type, it’s fruity initially but there’s almost something like smokiness as it develops. It’s nice, makes it a bit more mature. Great layering fragrance too, it may not be a projection beast but lasts a few hours on skin, i actually applied in the evening, before bed, and it was still on my skin in the morning. The bottle is simple but aesthetically pleasing.

This is a perfect dupe for discontinued Yver Rocher "Vanille bourbon"! I am so impressed! This is a lovely cheepie -such a big bottle of that lovely, cozy bourbon vanilla. Longevity is good by the way! BIG LIKE! Thanks Chanson, well done! I missed that scent and now I can get it. P.S: this is on 90% bourbon vanilla scent. I don't know how people find here pear- pear blossom and pear is not the same.

Beautiful fruity everyday vanilla. I don’t get all the notes mentioned. I just get a sweet juicy pear and vanilla out of this. It’s simple but pleasant. I like to layer it with other vanillas because I really like the pear in here. Lasts no longer than a mist but for the price I can’t complain. Early autumn is the season I think of when I spray this but it works for any time of year.

When people comment, "I am not impressed."... have you seen how affordable this is? :) For the price, it is amazing! I don't smell vanilla of any kind, to me this is pretty much pear and some florals. I find it rather pleasant and not offensive at all. It is a gentle, fruity, light scent. I think that, with 41, I am a bit old for it, but I'll give it a try this summer. :)

The comparisons are hiliarious! This is just a simple fruity, floral vanilla-ish edt. Vanilla is not the prominent note. The is NOT a gourmand vanilla nor is it a dark sensual vanilla to my nose. It's not a favorite but Im happy to have it in my collection. Its an easy reach.

I don't know if it's the same for others but imo the dry down reminds me of baciami by bvlgari. It’s a nice and light scent, unfortunately it doesn’t last long but it’s okay for the price

For the price it's not bad but has similar staying power as a body mist. It is more than just vanilla, so if you are looking for that sugary sweet vanilla essence this is not it.

Smells very sweet, I've heard people say it smells like Apple but it's quite mild. It's very gentle, I also have the Jasmine. I plan to wear the Vanilla during Autumn and Winter

It's very similar to D&G Devotion, I just realized this after I sampled the og. It's a citrusy vanille

I’m not going to bother doing one of my extensive and detailed frag nerd reviews on this, because it’s not worth it. Chanson d’Eau Vanille just SO bad on my skin. Horrible. First off the strength is nothing more than that of a body spray, the opening is just pure alcohol. Fortunately for me it doesn’t last long, so I didn’t have to suffer too much. There is no vanilla, no cotton candy (Coty says the middle note is sugar, not cotton candy) it’s not sweet at all. The mixture of cheap jasmine and heavy musk reads as putrid on my skin. Like a very woody putrid - it reminds me a lot of 7 Virtues Vanilla Woods, another supposedly ‘vanilla’ fragrance that is just woods on me. I don’t get any fruit at all. I was hoping this would be a light fruity vanilla, my biggest concern was that it would be too sweet! How wrong was I. I almost fell off my chair when I read that the composition didn't have any woody notes. That’s when it dawned on me - the jasmine is the culprit here. They’ve chosen a cheap form of jasmine that doesn’t blend well with other notes, I’ve had this happen to me with other cheap fragrances that are jasmine-heavy like Sand & Fog. Usually it’s the blend of cheap jasmine and cedar that ends up smelling like urine, but here it’s the cheap jasmine and musk that smells so acrid it chokes out the more delicate notes in the composition that everyone else seems to get. I ended up layering Vanilla Pearl over it just to bring back some of the nonexistent vanilla, with moderate success - not worth it, the putrid note is too overpowering. Fortunately I got this from Amazon, so back it goes to the store.

God is a woman but replace the pear with apple, swap the rose with pear blossom and add some vanilla and cotton candy. So same general area fragrance-wise but the vanilla changes how it feels to wear. Nice though! Very light, rather pretty and feels quite fruity and exotic at first, but drys down to smell a bit less exciting. It will be interesting to see how it smells in colder weather as it gives me autumn vibes!

It's just linear vanilla, there are no other scent notes. It is not sweet, it's not fruity and it most certainly does not smell like god is a women. This is choco musk without the musk. It's a sour vanilla. I do wonder if it's old and lost scent notes or if it needs to be macerated.

Pretty, simple and sweet vanilla with prominent apple note. Rather "culinary". It's quite light and easy to wear. Later, in the base, it transforms into slightly powdery vanilla.

Nice fragrance for the money. The only drawback is that it opens as very synthetic vanilla base.

This has some cross overs with Vanilla woods to my nose.... Not a dupe, but in the same area!

To me this isn’t sweet at all and I smell more amber than vanilla, not impressed

I had hopes for this one while I smelt the vanilla it went away immediately unfortunately 😔 and couldnt really detect it. Great value for its price may be it just didnt like my skin chemistry

Terrible, dark, synthetic teenage vanilla with heavy cigar note. Reminds me of Yves Rocher Vanille Noire but this has a awfully poor quality unlike YR.

I was really impressed when I smelled this. It's just a really good standard vanilla. It's very ethereal airy light just nice. It's not cloying it's not headache. Inducing you can overspray to your heart's content. It's not going to project. Maybe somebody standing next to you might catch a whiff here and there, but I'm wearing this for me. It's delightful and I can't believe how inexpensive it is. I say it's worth trying if you are new to perfumes and you're looking for some just good solid scents in your collection. I feel like this is a really good one. I have goddess by Burberry. I have a couple of the other ones that it says it smells like and I don't. I don't think it's identical, but there is a there's an aura of expensive to fragrance, it's just really nice classy clean. You could wear it every single day all year round. You can wear this out of the shower. It's just really nice. You can mix it with other things. I wore it with clean reserve today and it's just sparkled and it was beautiful. I recommend give it a give it a try

I smell vanilla all the way. And some freshness, could be the fruity notes. Not milky, not heavy, not intoxicating or overpowering, neither sticky, nothing special or annoying. Very easy, pleasant, comfortable yet sexy and feminine. Great for layering. It dries down beautifully, I really appreciate that. And stays longer on clothes (not on my hair though). I guess, it has some development then, but I can’t get anything besides warm, sexy, sweet scent. I decanted 10 ml and placed it in my lingerie travel case. Would I purchase it again, no. Did I regret buying it, no.

She is a beautiful vanilla opening up with the pear, then you get the apple and light iris. On my skin is a fruity vanilla. I thought it would be powdery because most perfumes with iris on my skin give me a bit of the powdery scent,t but not this one. I grabbed her as a blind buy on Amazon, and the price was really good. Do not regret it at all. She is pretty. I only wish she had lasted more than 3 hours on me.

First its the pear. Fresh and clean. Then comes the vanilla, but in weird company - something like tobacco or incense. But then it dries down to warm and cozy pure vanilla. No powder, no food, no alcohol,no soap. Nice smell, very comfortable and hugging. Light but so very cozy, for Reading in bed with a cat and mug of cocoa

I love it even though it said vanilla, I can smell the apples and the pears, it's very nice and fruity, and I am so going to get it again, good blind buy for sure the I am not sure of the longevity yet, but will let you know.

bro, where is the vanilla in this? it's a super juicy, edible, syrupy PEAR, I can maybeee get a HINT of vanilla if I sniff for 3 seconds at a time, but the name is way way misleading! LOL

This is 100% devotion in a bit lighter version. Bargain for devotion lovers i just cannot wear powdery scents. But it's very very worth having it
