Muse

Modulated by Vincent Roubert. Charming and sensual boudoir incense. The peach aldehyde C14 with peach skin and fluffy texture is sweet, bergamot has a sour, fresh green flavor, and the taste is soft and tender. The coordination of rose-ylang-ylang jasmine is involved in the creamy tuberose, so it is dense and soft. Muse is made with fat powder. Present, the musk covered with honey, the leather seems to dissolve, until it hits the dry amber-vanilla, Muse condenses again, violets flash here, the deep sandalwood is warm, rich but not sticky... Muse turns into wisps of softness Silk, entangled in the heart, is so ambiguous that it makes people feel hot all over, and their heartbeats intensify. I love Muse so much, it's worthy of the Shocking sisters. Muse and Femme are both the best interpretations of the skin. The representative of feminine fragrance. The creation of the goddess of beauty - Princess Danaë in Titian's pen, full of eroticism. Vincent Roubert was technical director at Coty, during which he provided Coty with the formulations of four fragrances, all of which have been discontinued, one of which was Muse, which took eight years to develop and was discontinued in 1960. Many of Vincent Roubert's perfumes are very rare, and I have a small bottle of Parfum from 1946.

Sweet floral sandalwood. The leathery, gardenia, tuberose, and honey mix is making this blend weirdly beautiful! Then comes the peaches, & sweet tuberose hintly mixed up with the leather, gardenia, and the honey. I get a burst of aldehyde as well. 5 minutes in, the white floral raises up combining the gardenia, tuberose, and then a magnolia appears with some lily of the valley, hyacinth, & lilac. A hintly ylang appears on side. I was surprised how this blend is forgotten in away that almost no one knows about it! no reviews in here as well! Grand beauty indeed.

Sampling night black juice from the vintage falcon like on the pic here. Large cap under which there is a tiny glass stopper. This opens with a delicious peach note similar to Mitsouko but dipped in very realistic and lava like honey. Aldehydes really pushing it like rays of mid day glowing desert sun. Bergamot dry shadows are left far behind. Very soon one truly splendid and gourgeous bouquet of florals emerge. Seems like nothing taking the central stage but each flower blooms in its perfect spot. Tube rose, jasmine, lilly and rose all can be felt but they do create a very luxurious and comforting classical floral accord. Honey and peach remain on the stage glorifying the florals. Base is a solid oriental amber vanilla with a touches or leather and pissy musk. Truly stunning piece of perfume history!

A sweet, honeyed, animalic white floral with a woody base. Whether my sample is fresh or not, it kind of brings to mind Shocking, but lighter on the spices and heavier on the white florals. The floral bouquet is abstract, but in the sillage I definitely feel like I get jasmine grandiflorum. The somewhat urinous honey note teeters on being just "a lot," but ultimately melds well with the florals and I love how it melts into the scent in the lovely woody/sweet drydown.
