I owned only one bottle of this graceful scent, got it as a gift. I haven't been able to find anything even close to the level of this warm, lush, full, not-too-sweet, not-too-floral vanilla perfection ever since.

I own the original Vanilla Fields and find it has a very woody opening before the flowers and vanilla come through. I just purchased VFW at 3 times the price I paid for VF and it opens more floral and much richer, denser, and creamier. It's not a warm vanilla as in in VF. This has a chilly aspect that actually made me think of ice cream. Maybe that's why it was named Winter. The name certainly fits.

Vanilla Fields Winter is a thick, full bodied, rich buttery vanilla. Jasmine adds natural soft floral feminine sweetness. The drydown is slightly powdery, wears close to skin, and is very long lasting. This buttery rich fragrance is wonderful by itself, and it's great for layering, too. Winter is the strongest and heaviest of Coty's Vanilla Fields fragrances. A little goes a very long way.

I'm on a nostalgia bent for vanilla (and musk) and picked this up cheaply. At first, I was like, oh a little stinky and old-smelling, but now I am warming up to it, especially the more powdering drydown. Smells like vanilla with some cream soda/root beer. Maybe it is the cooler weather that makes me like it more. I may need a bottle of the regular VF to compare it to.
