Blanc de Courregès

I've had this stored for about 6 months after the initial excited sprays on acquisition. Then, -winter- it was pure musk, in fact very similar to musk stick lollies (Aus) and was noticed as such by my family [you smell yum, like lollies"]. I thought it was lack lustre, simple, boring, inoffensive. Now, -summer- 6 months standing time, I think I smell yum! Not like lollies, no pencil shavings either. 48 hours wear time, with top ups, the luxury of the iris and woods, with warm rose and musk is gentle, enveloping and comforting. The weather has been HOT and HUMID, and normally I'd be reaching and repeat spraying all the fresh icy colognes but Blanc has been a peaceful alternative. Currently I'm not so fond of amber, due to my perceived overuse, but the 'white amber' here smells more refined, subtle. I want a replacement for my beloved discontinued Bottega Veneta EdP; this is no clone, but it provides some of the elements I enjoy in that fragrance (without leather). I got this FB at a very low price and was a blind buy. As always, depending on your skin chemistry and response to notes listed, (which I believe are accurate), this could be a safe blind buy for others.

Blanc de Courreges is sooo beautiful! It immediately reminded me of a MUCH softer, gentler version of Jean Couturier Coriandre (and similar Agent Provocateur), with its powdery, peppery rose/iris over some minerally/earthy patchouli. I don't really smell much musk in Blanc, nor do I smell litchi or amber. It's also a little like a simpler, lower key, less sharp and herbal sister of Diptyque Orpheon (another love of mine), but it wears much more gently and close than any of the perfumes I've mentioned. It's well-behaved and great for wearing in the heat when other perfumes of this style could be overwhelming. I wish it were a bit longer lasting, but at least the longevity is not horrible; I get about 3 hours with it before I need to re-apply. I'm really enjoying this one... <3

I blind bought a bottle for my niece for Christmas because I could not pass up a deal ($16!!!). So of course I opened it and gave it a whiff to try myself. This was exactly what I was expecting judging from the notes and then some! I find this to be quite unisex as well. Totally worth the money! It might not be ~remarkable~, but the clean, powdery, minimalist profile makes for an easy wear and a great first perfume for teenage girl, and for the price, you really cannot fault it. Also I LOVE the bottle itself, I think I might just buy another just for myself!

Just got this blind buy, and I'm so very happy about it, it smells exactly as my other favourite perfume - Iris Noir of Yves Rocher - which I used a lot of bottles of, this perfume smells of lovely iris, much iris, and it last for ours on my skin, and the musk is there, and I can smell the rose in the background, with the soft smell of amber :)) This perfume also smells sophisticated, with a slightly powdery and soapy note, - I'm so much in love with this little (30ml) beauty!!

I get this big beautiful enigmatic powdery iris cloud from this fragrance which I absolutely ADORE. It is a warm and comforting floral without being sweet. Closer to the skin I get beautiful clean soapy notes. I find it to be very feminine. My husband said it reminds him of some sexy sophisticate from the 1960's - something he imagines someone like Sophia Loren would have worn. So now it is a favorite and I have already bought a back up bottle!

So strange the way everyone seems to experience this fragrance differently. For me - the primary experience is almost akin to a very airy patchouli. This is all iris, but the earthiness comes through and yet feels transparent. So far I'm finding it really interesting, honestly. It is deceptively simple. It feels clean like white tile.

Received this today. I really like it !! It is sorta similar in vibe to Yves Rocher Iris...but not the same....IMO. For the price and smell, I recommend this for sure. Powdery..light sweetness....a very cozy/comfort scent. Another great hidden gem from Courreges. Empriente by Courreges is one of my new favs. LOVE !!!

The perfect layering fragrance everrrr. Blanc is the perfect name for it- imagine a light purple/bright white light, smooth musk, iris, pepper- it's very reminiscent of what you'd smell in early 2000s euro parties. defiantly leans more feminine and has that mall perfume store smell but for price u cant go wrong.

Aww, this is powdered iris just the way I wanted. This, I love. The best blind buy so far, based on the beauty of the accord and ingredient pyramids. This is luxury on a budget for me.

This is a rather elusive fragrance. Difficult to describe... It has a very simple,almost shy and quite formal sweet floral accord ( mainly rose and litchi according to my nose ) on one side, and a tricky, puzzling - but very mild, almost "hazy"- mix of pepper, patchouli and iris on the other one. You end up with a fragrance which is the equivalent of a person who seems very easy to get on with at first, sweet, well mannered, diplomatic and tolerant ( maybe the wallflower sort?) but you soon realise you must keep your distance and there are limits you mustn't cross or she will give you the cold shoulder.It is not so easy be her pal after all... I think it is the perfect fragrance for someone who is in contact with people at work, because it has this "smiling but distant" quality. Good for someone in business, too.The soft sillage is also a plus for that kind of environment. Beauty, light and solemnity in a bottle. I said the smell reminds me a bit of sugared almond and at some point, I wondered if they had a bride in mind when creating the fragrance, given that white is the colour a bride is supposed to wear. Good lasting power, but more a skin scent in my opinion.

I really like this. Perhaps I’m alone in this, but I get quite a bit of litchi in the opening. After reading reviews that mentioned pencil shavings, I decided not to buy this. I can’t tolerate excessive amounts of cedar. Eventually, I gave in and I’m happy to report I detect no such thing. I can only really discern rose, iris/orris, musk and litchi. I was prepared for this to be more powdery. I own a ton of powdery cosmetic and lipstick fragrances and this one only alludes to that genre. That’s not a criticism. It’s just not as vintage, cosmetic, powdery as other fragrances I own. It’s definitely a modern composition and reminds me of the Narciso cube line. Its really lovely even if not original. The bottle is very mid-century modern and I love that. Longevity is fairly good but it isn’t much of a projector. I wish it were a bit more potent but overall it is a solid blind-buy success.

It's generally lovely but IMO unfortunately overall has more prominent cons than pros. Pros: easy-going, simple, powdery-rosey, sweet daytime/everyday and office-friendly fragrance. Nothing harsh, nothing bothering, nor polarizing. Cons: boring, linear, faint, bit grandma-ish and not long-lasting at all. Maybe 2 hours or so. It's just not worth remembering, nor re-purchasing. Smells like a kind of strange mixture of ingredients of a cheap deodorant. I can hardly detect any particular notes that are listed in the perfume pyramid above; only sweetened powder and rose. But no freshness here. No litchi, don't go searching for Delina vibes. Though it's not expensive at all I've even bough it at half price. And that's just OK, but even on full price....never.

When I first got this, I really loved it. Lychee and powder is such a bomb combo imo. However, after keeping it around for a while (I use a very small sample vial of this), it started to smell more like grass and less like that amazing lychee smell, so I now use it as a face mask freshener. This perfume in its full size is very difficult to get for a good price in my country, so I'm hoping that one day, I'll find one on sale or something because I really loved how it used to be. On my skin, I recall that this faded away quite quickly, so the longevity isn't there. However, on clothing and in hair, this is quite good. No pencil shavings whatsoever, just a sophisticated form of lychee and some hints of roses. I much prefer this to rose de courreges.

At certain price points, I keep my expectations on par. This is a nice, simple fragrance and I don't have a problem with it. I don't get any pepper (not a negative in my book) nor litchi but I do get an almost immediate and slightly vintage-y powder and musk scent followed by a strong yet still feminine woody base. Heliotrope and patchouli are equally hidden for me, which is a shame, but the orris is there by virtue of its powdery texture. Yes, it's a bit old fashioned but overall, I don't regret this purchase (was inexpensive and on Amazon) and through other reviews, etc., feel like I knew what I was getting into - expectations met. I like to layer this with Laura Mercier Ambre Vanille which blends beautifully with this fragrance.

Cold, clean, unisex. Office appropriate. It’s powdery without being dusty, clean without being soapy. fresh without being citrus. It has a cologne kind of smell. Massive longevity, it was still really strong on my wrists even after showering. In fact I feel that the longer I wore it the stronger it got. For me I’d say it’s appropriate for an office fragrance when you want to feel professional, neutral, inoffensive but I can’t see myself ever wearing this otherwise. It might be a different story for men though as it leans masculine and may be more appropriate for other occasions, more than just office wear. I like the bottle, it has a cold, neutral feel and look about it.

Blanc is such a lovely composition for a great price! Although it does have prominent notes of lychee and rose, it's no Delina. It leans much more into the purple florals- heliptrope and iris and powder. Blanc still maintains a slightly sweet tartness throughout its lifetime, but comes alive in the opening thanks to the pink pepper. It's almost a crossbreed of Delina and the OG Glossier You. a bit more woody and ambery in the drydown, but overall a super light, fleeting scent that would be great for the office in spring or summer. Gives me a real Smarties or Sweet Tarts vibe.

Blanc de Courregès by Courrèges could easily be mistaken for a PDM’s Delina flanker, not a dupe, but a definite flanker. I ordered this scent because the notes made it seem like the Iris would dominate the fragrance. However, Blanc is a Litchi Rose scent supported by the soft powdery aspects of Iris, Orris, and Heliotrope, lending texture and softening the sharpness of the Litchi. It’s less tart than PDM’s Delina and an easy reach for office/daytime wear. I paid US $15 for 100 ml and feel the quality of the scent far surpasses the price. This was a very successful blind buy.

I bought it to complement a plentiful of my ultra-masculine woody (sometimes vintage) fragrances with something powdery and floral. I'm a man and I'm not afraid to wear a feminine fragrance an mix it with a heavier one to balance them both accordingly to my mood. Iris is my favourite component of a perfume and for a blind buy I'm not disappointed. Great price, great performance amazing sophisticated structure - I gained another "MUST HAVE" scent. 8/10

I was waiting for this new fragrance because I loved Sweet Courreges, I thought I could love Blanc, even if the group was different. But I'm a bit disappointed : this one is very masculine, too much to me. Woody, fresh and peppery. I can't smell rose notes. Elegant, for mature women, good lasting power. (Please Courrèges : re-launch Sweet Courrèges!)

Your skin but better genre and it's gauzy not powdery. Subtle and elegant so maybe just for my nose and an intimate partner to smell on me. Good longevity for a skin scent. I suppose someone in public might pick it up in the air if I sprayed a lot. But that would nullify the charm of this genre.

Powdery clouds of iris, with likeable hints of rose and litchi. Gets woodier on the drydown, a bit like pencil shavings. Never loses its light and fluffy effect, the name is quite fitting. Warm/hot weather only, I can't imagine wearing this in the cold as it would become lifeless.

This is like if you found pencil shavings inside your make up bag. Vintage make up we're talking about here. When I see white opaque bottle I think of a cold and fresh fragrance for some reason, but this is quite the opposite. Lovely blind buy.

i like it alot and if you didnt like lazy sunday morning but you like the idea of it then this is what u need (side note: this works so well as a layering perfume i feel like i can smell all the notes of my other fragrances while wearing it)

Looking at the notes I had moderate hope for this one. I got it as a sample freebie from an order of decants I purchased for testing. Not something I would normally wear. Initial spray smelled beautiful... for about 30 seconds, then it vanished. I waited 30mins, changed rooms, then tried to smell it again on my skin. Barely detectible. I applied more, and after about 10 seconds it vanished again. I can however now smell it, very faintly, when i put my nose about 5cm from my skin. Not sure if I'm just super nose blind to this one, but it's definitely not one that I would purchase, which is a shame, because I actually like the opening notes, and i'm not normally an iris fan. Definitely not worth the price you pay for it unless you're looking for a very intimate scent that's not overpowering. The impression i get from this fragrance is light, clean, and airy. Honestly I wouldn't mind my laundry smelling like this. It's beautiful. Shame it doesn't give any projection, or last.

If you're looking for a powdery iris as the accords suggest, you won't find it in here. I fell for that! This smells good but it's a strong powdery combo of litchi and rose, where the litchi is the most prominent note. I mostly get LITCHI, rose and sandalwood. The iris, orris and heliotrope only create a powdery cloud but doesn't smell like iris. IMO this is powdery fruity (litchi) and not an iris powdery perfume. Did I mention litchi?

I like this scent but not enough to wear it. If anything I use it to spray my sheets at night just to use up the bottle. Cannot detect the litchi, but it has a very powdery and cosmetic bag like smell. It also reminds me of those little carved soaps grandmas keep in their restrooms. It is a nice scent in the way that I'll sniff the bottle once in a while but not in the way that I'd wear it for the day. This is for sure a mature scent.

Yes, this smells exactly like dust, or pencil shavings. I feel like i’ve been transported to my primary year classroom in the Middle East. It’s a lift up desk top, the room smells of pencil sharpeners and the teacher losing her stuff banging blackboard erasers. There’s an Afghani Baker next door who has just thrown a loaf on the searingly hot stone, the scent of bubbling dough permeates through the walls. Smells good enough to eat, not to wear. Not recommended. I only purchased it based on a random recommendation. Apparently Jo M is launching some cereal based fragrances in case you want to smell like Special K, Oatmeal or Rice Bubbles? These guys have beaten her to it.

Severely alcoholic in the opening, settled into a heavy synthetic powdery scent. Bottle is super pretty though. I wore it in the rain and got wet and it has an almost juicy wet cherry scent. Pretty. But not for everyday. Sad. I really wanted to like it because of the iris, violets and musk but it was a disaster blend. If anyone wants it, message me...

I don't get any remote resemblance to YR Iris Noir. The dry down has a cloying floral sweetness like that of Poppy Moreny's Le cirque. Iris Noir is a deep blue-purple scent and Blanc is indeed blanc or rather off-white, if it was to associate them to a color. Deeply regret buying it blindly based on the reviews insisting on it's similarity to YR IR.

super flat woody powdery nothingness....less than the smell of a body cream.

An extremely charming and inoffensive scent that is a combination of a sleek white powderiness (orris and white musk) and a pretty raspberry tinted patchouli. Starts out very white with a hint of the fruit, the best stage, then the fruited patchouli gets stronger, still supported by the orris. A little bit powder a little bit sugar jam. Like a french confection. The orris is high quality and sophisticated, supported by an extremely smooth white musk, and the fruity patchouli is well used in this pairing to make it a little more mainstream but still attractive. For days when you want to smell pretty but feel like you aren't wearing much. If I put it on in the morning I can still smell the patchouli end of day-- it's sweet and woody, a little green and suprisingly strong. This patchouli drydown doesn't wash off easily. If you like the Isabey Fleur Nocturne and Lys Noir perfumes you will probably like this one--it's like the early morning edition. Or the lingerie edition. A value for the price, I was surprised and pleased by it.

This is lovely once it dries down. At first spray, it’s like astringent on the nose... but I appreciate that. Some of the best fragrances ever made smell nasty at first but bloom beautifully later... and they don’t make fragrances like this anymore. Every new fragrance is made to smell great on the first spray. If you like Glossier’s You, you might like this. I notice this pairs well with Kuumba’s Persian Star. At first it’s a laundry scent that dries down to a potent iris with a long lasting powderiness... and it only costed me 20 bucks.. the bottle and sprayer appear to be high quality... I definitely think I am going to get myself another bottle

I was hoping for the cold masculine rose or the makeup bag scent others got, but to me this is very close to Lempicka L’eau Blanc. I get light iris, fruity notes, and other sweet flowers in a hand lotion amber/musk base, which is very pleasant, but it does dry down super sweet on me, which is less so. Cheaper than dirt, though and lasts ages for the price point. I would say it's very simple, slightly girly in the sweetness but a fairly safe buy if you like soft, fruity sweet powdery fragrances. But Sweet. Did I say it's sweet!?

I am a man and I use this to either brighten up other overly dark and deep fragrances or just at home instead of men's blue fragrances. It is powdery, cold, refreshing. litchi, iris and musk are prominent to me. It, however, smells very synthetic and not expensive or luxurious. Overspray safely, that will give you a nice cloud of makeup powder with a longish performance. Glad I have it as an easy use on a hot day, a good player in a collection but nothing to write home about.

Oh this one is a real contender for my buy list. Fluffy feminine musk and iris, veryyyy subtle altogether but also really beautiful and feminine, gives a real sophisticated feel. Cherry on top it's really affordable, I somehow still can't justify paying niche price for this genre, as much as I love it. Mainly because it's such a daywear scent! This one is a touch on the short lasters side...Pepper, heliotrope, orris, the note composition is a 10/10 for me at the moment!

Delightful, a bit retro, like a Guerlain, with something like Anise and Iris. It's got powder but has no elderly connotations, there's patchouli in moderation, not enough to frighten the horses. It's just different, it's fresh and thought provoking in that it makes me think of Apres L'Ondee. I'm encouraged to try other Courreges scents. It's a like from me and is definitely in my favoured rotation at present.

First sniff is like a white coloured raspberry-cedar soap. Very strong, it’s overwhelming with my nose to my skin. It isn’t your typical ‘white’ scent, but it does smell white, it has feelings of dove or Nivea soap, but with a fruity note. I almost like it but don’t. My younger daughter just told me ‘smells like dust’.

I found this for a steal at $9 and decided to try something a little different and have to say it first reminded me of delicate French stationary, like paper used to write love letters. After researching the notes I don't get any fruit, but rather a mostly masculine cold rose. Will be decluttering.

Silky paper flower, thin and delicate, fragile, incredibly beautiful. The iris is smooth, close to the skin and melting in a comforting cloud. Other notes are second players. It suit a mysterious, perhaps a little shy but also very independent woman. Perhaps with a pricey deep blue scarf...

Cosmetic bag smell! delicious iris/orris/musk makes you smell like a expensive lipstick! longevity is excellent, at least 7 hours! Very unusual scent! retro and modern at the same time! The drydown has a spectacular rose note, like a red dewy rose!

Judging from the notes that should’ve been right up my alley. Instead, it was a very sharp litchi And really a synthetic mess. I got no iris no powdery no nothing.

So soft, delicate on blotters, may even seem almost imperceptible, but the skin is starting to sound a different, more modern and dynamic.

The opening reminds me of Valentino Donna but as it evolves it turns into a dead ringer for NR Narciso (white cube) EdP.
