Eau de Courreges (new)

I have always been surprised of how little known this perfume is, well, I absolutely love it, I think it's one of the best in its category (citrus chypre, for me), much better than Cristalle, Eau de Rochas, Ô de Lancôme and so on, maybe I'm partial because it was my mom's and one of my aunts' signature perfume for many years and it reminds me of good times but I can't think of a better option for summer. When I smell it I think of a 70's stylish free-spirited woman, just the kind of people who made this scent their signature. At first it's very citrus, like lemonade, then it settles like a fine chypre and stays like that for a couple of hours, it doesn't last very long but I don't mind if I have to re-spray, it's exhilarating, very recommended for people who like classic citrus-chypre scents.

One of my favourites and very close to Ô de Lancôme except on the longevity side which is rather weak. Not a problem in itself as it is always a pleasure to reapply as the minty citrusy notes are a great uplifting combination. There is also an absinthe note which gives this modern "eau" a classy old fashioned style. Any man of style should have this perfume a part of the "big threes": Ô de Lancôme, Eau de Rochas (for women) and a Eau de Courrèges. Not very easy to find though. In London, only Selfridges have it. I have not seen it online. Shame...

Very refreshing and crisp,ideal for hot weather.I agree with Jerrythecat re:longevity,it fades very quickly. It is available online,I got some from allbeauty.com for a very reasonable price. I thought I would try this for a change as it's fairly new,I like it but will probably go back to Eaux de Caron Forte when it runs out.

Smells great like a Margarita or Mojito. 1st wear... warm day. I'll let it sit a little longer to see if the longevity and Sillage grow.

This wee freshie arrived just in time to carry me through these dog days of summer when citrus rules under hot sunny skies. Cute retro 70s vibe for both bottle design and branding recalls the fragrances origins. This def isn't old-skool but cleverly recalls some heavy hitters from back-in-the-day (Dior Eau Savage). I recall vintage versions of this leaning more masculine and heavy on the wood notes (cedar/patchouli). A liberal first application (8-10 spritz) just after a shower resulted in a predictable near-instant evaporation but at least laid a fragrance base. After sitting outside for an hour to catch some cooling breeze, I could smell the lime/vetiver combo drifting up from my decolletage and yet nothing when i put my nose right down on my forearm target zone. Thus, a second application (8-10 spritz) was required after the first hour with some improvement to staying power. This in no way is "overwhelming" so have no fear to spray - a lot! It predictably opens with zingy lime & mint duo, not a blast but def energizing. I feel a sudden urge for a mojito on the front deck. With the second application, the lime stays on top for the duration as the LOTV shyly emerges. The citrus is grounded by the vetiver and moss. No sign of the patchouli even in the second hour. I kinda feel like this would benefit from some more earthy herb notes (basil?) or a more liberal shot of patchouli to balance out the lime. A thoroughly inoffensive fragrance best suited for liberal applications for all genders and accessible at a mere pittance. Although enjoyable with compliments from my spouse I'm unlikely to replace as a must-have once it's gone.

Screams like summer. A fresh cologne that you can abundantly overspray... it will not overpower nor offend anyone. A blast of minty citrus - real citrus with peel and all its essentisl oils - so real that, closing your eyes, you may feel like having a lemon drink topped with fresh mint leaves in your hands. Hey, it's your fragrance indeed. Very refreshing, some bitter notes appear in the middle (artemisia i guess, what the french call absinthe); I do not recognize Lily of the valley but it's probbably there making the frag a little more gentle. Not very longlasting but a real pick me up when you need energy in these sticky hot summer days. I recommend you to try it, can be found at discounters at super interesting prices. Safe blind buy!

I wasn’t familiar with Courreges at all, but bought a lot of minis and this took me by surprise. Masculine-leaning, but then again many citrusses are and I like that fresh, energizing cologne-style for hot summer days. It is similar to many other citrussy green scents and very reminiscent of eau de Guerlain with the minty tooth-paste vibe, but the LOTV gives this a mountain air-feel and not in that overpowering way where you smell an entire valley at once. It's lovely and with a price tag that makes it a good alternative for more expensive summer spritzers.

Citrus and bitter herbs...just my sort of thing. The wormwood, mint and petitgrain give it a pleasingly fresh complexity. The patchouli is there and definitely makes a statement, but doesn't dominate. Definitely a blast from the 1970 past and any one who likes O de Lancome will probably enjoy this. I look forward to wearing it when the weather heats up.

Atmosphere of late summer dinner served in the garden - smell from the river that runs near by, mixed in air together with aromatic peppermint and lemongrass, you can simply reach it by your hand, take a sprig in palms and inhale the whole summertime at once. Tranquil and serene, in same tune for me as Jicky and Eau de Patou.

In the first 10 minutes it smells too masculine, but after a 10-15 minutes later it becomes a really nice unisex fragrance. Not too special, but very good for spring, summer days. I like it, but I would not buy a full bottle of it.

Green and aromatic, similari to Ô de Lancome minus the sillage and the longevity. Would recommend a small atomiser to carry along and spray copiously as it evaporates in no time.

This smells a bit too car freshner to me.. It's a nice smell but not something I would want to smell like! Woody and light but not really perfume-like.

I love this fragrance! & I especially love it's cloudy & milky aspect! It's a light, floral, soft lime scent. I just wish that it was stronger & lasted longer but it is a tonic water as an Eau De after all, Perhaps there's even a splash bottle available? Remember when each fragrance had a lineup of body products to accompany the flagship fragrance? I miss those days. So I know this Is to be expected;. It reminds me of Paco Rabanne Calandre, in a way., though Calandre is a bit brighter & more sheer in scent. Eau De Courreges is a light & airy, mild green scent, that has some density to it that I can only describe as cloudy/milky in my current version. I always sigh a happy sigh whenever I smell this scent from the cap before I apply this scent. Update: I just read that this scent is now described by 3 notes: Lime, Vanilla, Musk, by the brand, online.

Some generous sprays of Eau de Courrèges on a hot day and I am invigorated. This zesty number is notably greener than the typical eau fraîche, with a sparkling bergamot and bracing lime followed by mint and wormwood, resulting in an almost mojito effect. It evokes green summer lawns and running through sprinklers on sweltering late July days.

Very bright and green fragrance. Reminds me of Chanel Christale eau verte, i can definitely smell bergamot, lime, wormwood. But in the opening I get a lot of galbanum, although it’s not listed in the notes. Overall very unisex cologne like scent, best for spring and summer months. very good value for your money.

Bright bergamot, lime, and moss. A clean and fresh soapy sort of scent. (Reminds me of a 70's aftershave splash) Needs to 'breath' after first opening in order for more notes to become evident. Not a modern fragrance yet still agreeable enough. Super affordable. Cute bottle. Lasting. Unisex. ✨

Mint + Lime. The perfect Mojito!!! This is a perfect, totally unisex fragrance to wear after a day at the beach. Totally refreshing. A green dream. I just can imagine how this must have smelled back in the 70's, before all the pity restrictions of nowadays. Smell great my friends!

It is a kind of scent that is great unisex scent. Unfortunately i am not a fan of unisex scents. To much lime, kind of citrus aromatic aroma. I tried it as i wanted to try something else that normally i do, but i can say definitely its not my taste.

Its totally shareable. It reminds me of a mix of O ́Lancome + Armani pour Homme + Eau de Cartier. A very good surprise to all that love citrus and green scents. Perfect for day use on sunny days. A blind buy with no regrets
