Hyper Musc

I was SO close to blind buying this, I am very glad I did not though. I want this to work for me so badly. The bottle is so beautifully futuristic and chic, it would be a shining star in my fragrance cabinet. However the juice is just too weak to my nose. It's definitely a sweet minty vanilla, the musk base feels so ethereal and unique with ambroxan. I am obsessed with this to say the least. But at this price point (290 !!!!!) considering its very weak longevity/presence I would not say this is worth the splurge on a full bottle. There are definitely other fragrances with this scent profile out there. However I am testing this out of a dabber sample, I would imagine the full bottle sprayed about 10+ times on myself would be heavenly. But then you're running out of your $300 bottle within a year. I don't think I'll be purchasing a bottle anytime soon, considering my current fragrance 'budget'. However I cant say never, maybe one day a bottle will find its way to me on a second hand website or something. I sampled Le massager from Courreges at the same time and fell absolutely in love with that one as well and ordered a full bottle within a few days. Absolutely looking forward to trying the other offerings from Courreges.

I was not going to write anything significant, but upon researching this fragrance further, I realized there is nothing on the Internet as far as reviews! Now I have to review it lol. This is not what I was expecting, but it is good nonetheless. Certainly a skin scent. It is barely noticeable. However, it is very sexy. I do get the empty mint can. It has a molecular quality that is very attractive as well. Yes it is modern. Yes it is cool. My issue is the price. For $310 I want it to project more. I understand the more it costs more exclusive the fragrance becomes. We are getting in the territory of really high-end fragrances. I just can't see myself purchasing this over something like reflection or symphonium. Definitely for the Younger crowd which I like. Does not smell dated whatsoever. It matches the fashion brand. It's cool. I wish I could afford it on top of everything else I want. If I have to be selective, I don't think this edges out. It would be a great primer. Similar to molecule. Mint vanilla primer.

On card it smells exactly like Slogan, Messenger etc, a bland ambroxan overdose with some musk and vanilla. Thankfully on skin (while it's still the usual musk + ambroxan, and doesn't justify the ridiculous price) it's giving me... ... minty doll heads! Very bizarre and very fitting in the Courrèges line. Manages to be strange but easy to wear. Update: Or is it? Actually it has a nauseating plastic undertone than I notice more and more as it dries down. Sort of like elastic bands, and very bothersome. This is my least favourite Courrèges, it's pissing me off so now I have to scrub it off.

Such a simple, cozy composition! Creamy, milky vanilla on a bed of white musk topped this a fresh mint leaf. Like the softest, most subtle Junior Mint or York Peppermint Patty. She's pretty fleeting, and I only get the mint on the first whiff, then it immediately fades away into a light whipped cream accord. The entirety of this fragrance is so slight and fleeting that I couldn't justify buying a whole bottle given the price, but it is so comforting and inoffensive! Chloe @beatlegirll on Tik Tok described it how she "imagines Snoopy would smell" and that resonated with me sooo much <3

For me this is the best of the trio of ‘hyper’. The oud is nice but not special, the cuir is an overdose of the almond accord but this one is great. A blast of mint and musk in the opening and it settles down to a very nice spicy vanilla/musk combo. A bit overpriced but special enough to warrant the purchase. Anyways it was for me...

golly goodness this just tickles my fancy if you're a cat owner, imagine that you're sniffing their head. they smell like a warm cozy sweater, with a hint of that sweet cocoa butter skin smell. there's also a peppermint vanilla candle burning in the background.

The first thing I smell from this one is a faint mint; a realistic mint wrapped in a soft blanket of vanilla. The mint is so faint that I struggle to pick up on it, and it gives off a slight bubble-gum scent, but one that you a chewed a bit too long and the flavour of it is almost gone. The fragrance is a clean one, mild, musky and fresh in a cozy way. But the sillage is so poor that directly after applying I still have to really sniff into my arm to smell it. And on my skin, the longevity is really poor as well. Maybe the musk is so hyper that it transforms into a skin scent really fast, or maybe the musk is so hyper that it is more of a chemical musk? If it’s the latter I have previously had a tendency to not really be able to smell synthetic musk notes in perfumery. Still, when I do smell it, it is very good. And the scent itself secures a like from me. I hope for the sake of the perfume that it performs better on other people, and I hope that it performs better from a flask. I only had a little sample vial with a slightly awkward applicator.

This fragrance actually smells lovely. Straight from the bottle it smells like sweet vanilla and mint. When applied to the skin, the first thing I get is a soft, cool, sweet, mint note; it smells cool in the way that snow smells cold, if that makes sense. Along with the soft, sweet, mint I get musk and absolutely no vanilla at this point. The musk in this fragrance isn’t like a pencil shavings/print paper musk to me, but more of a MUSKY musk. I think the type of musk is what makes the fragrance come across as more “manly” to some other reviewers. In the full dry down the musk really tones down and the vanilla finally comes through and the fragrance settles into a beautiful creamy, vanilla musk (I do not get any more peppermint at this point). While the fragrance smells wonderful, I do wish it projected more and the mint note lasted longer, considering the price tag.

I bought a sample because this shhh is expensive, glad I did. I actually really like this scent, I just wish it projected and had better longevity. I was expecting not to like it because of the mint buuuut, the mint is very subtle not like freshly picked mint more of a sweet vanilla mint. Whatever I like it. Its simple and I actually think that's why it's good. You'll be lucky to have this still smell on you 3 hours later though.

I was immediately taken back to my memory of Ultraviolet by Paco Rabanne. This stuffs pretty minty though. Vanilla mint. I like it, but I don’t know whether I like it enough to buy a bottle. A reviewer mentioned it smells like being kissed by a man who just showered and brushed his teeth - I actually like that description. Kind of makes me like the scent more.

I loved this when I sampled it and was so close to buying a full bottle when I realized I already had something in my collection that smells so similar — Diptyque’s Eau Duelle EDP. To my nose the dry down is the same. Still love the smell of this tho

If that mint note hung around for a while longer, this perfume would be fire. But it fades so quickly - 5, 10 minutes. It's a tippy tippy top note. The dry down is a nice, slightly warmed vanilla, but nothing incredible.

Close enough to On a Cloud by J-Scent but a much thinner version of it. Here in Hyper Musk, the musk note is amplified and it eclipses the mint and vanilla notes giving this fragrance not much of the balance it needs to be perfect. It’s very nice, don’t get me wrong, but I wish the other notes stayed longer to create a fluffy musky minty and milky fragrance. Instead, it’s just okay and it goes on to disappear after an hour or two. And by disappear, I mean completely vanish...😔 It’s a pass for me. Since I own and love On a Cloud, that’s what I’ll stay with but I’m glad I tried Hyper Musk. Now, I know I don’t want it 😉

I was expecting to love this, with notes so simple it felt like I could already smell it through my screen. I was expecting something like b&bw twisted peppermint, but what I got was a very familiar musk & vanilla base (it IS similar in that way to clean reserve skin&vanilla) and some kind of aromatic top. It doesn't read mint on my skin it almost reads like peppercorn and it lasts for 15 minutes. Beautiful bottle, love the idea, didn't work for me personally!

From the notes I was certain I’d love this, unfortunately this vanilla type note used in this is just that kind of burnt sugary type that is really prominent in today’s gourmands. It’s just not my type! If this was something more like indult tihota with a sharp minty overtone I’d be so happy. Unfortunately the mint is all but nonexistent.

bought a full bottle after sampling TWICE and still ended up selling it. i just wish the mint note was stronger. somehow this turns into pure milk chocolate on me. when you accidentally leave chocolate in your car or purse on a hot day and you have to clean it up and it gets all over your hands, that's what it reminds me of...

I so wish I could smell this, but I get zero peppermint or much of anything at all sadly.

Fluffy vanilla musk. Unremarkable.

The cheapest-smelling, nasty drugstore vanilla spray and nothing else. Outrageously overpriced, I'm quite shocked by how disappointing this is! Straight into the bin.

Starts icy cold, the feeling is like exploring the basement of an old castle in the forest... then the mint gets softer and the vanilla starts to kick in and the scent goes from spooky cold to sweet childhood memory. The very first instant you put a mint Tictac candy in your mouth and feel the thin vanillin covering the surface dissolving into mint. That very second. Vanillin and mint. That fleeting hug of gourmand sweetness covering the fresh, adult flavor of sugary mint: pure, innocent, bliss captured on skin. It's been an instant love for me, but I'm not sure it will be appreciated by the crowd. It's sure intriguing, but not in your face "sexy" nor properly "perfumey" even... more the memory of a flavor than a scent. An original creation that I'm sure will be passionately loved by those who, like me, got a deep madeleine de Proust effect right through the heart.

Initial seconds were low cal chocolate mint ice cream followed by wet stone washed ashore from the sea. Five minutes later, it transitioned into a low calorie box of vanilla ice cream that was frozen without a box top, and got freezer burn; I do mean that in the best way possible as this is a very nice scent and I’m not even into vanillas. The musk went almost undetected on me... like a misplaced short backup dancer in a music video who’s doing his best dance moves behind taller dancers, and nobody noticed him. I wish the musk was more pronounced. After an hour, it became a soft vanilla unisex scent that lasted a really long time. This review might sound condescending, but it’s not; I actually like this.

Courreges Hyper Musc is sort of like those restaurant table mints, which I also described in Ex Nihilo Vetiver Moloko, but as if they were all out the plastics wrapper in a bowl. Also like mentos. They have a bit if sweetness to them. That's what I get here. Like a reviewer said, the mint does not draw to toothpaste at all. It's not a mint leaves in drink vibe or scent either. The mint candy sweetness is what I get, and that turns into a mint candy, vanilla musk. It really smells like skin. Not bright or ozonic or aquatic. Just clean skin with nothing on it, powdered a little with mint sweetness. I tested this a while back and these were my notes.

Ethereal mint, musk, vanilla and patchouli. Tried this last week and loved it though I wish the mint lasted longer. For those saying they can't smell it and/or it didn't last...I sampled from a dabber on my forearms and could smell it 8 hours later. I think some might be anosmic to the musk/other elements for this particular perfume. But in general, I think many Fragranticans get olfactory fatigue by spraying on the neck/chest which is too close to the nose. I only ever dab/spray on my forearms...too close to the nose is no bueno. Stick to the arms, people.

There is a touch/freshness of mint when first sprayed - refreshing and clean mint though, not pepperminty or toothpaste-y at all (to me). It dries to be less mint and more of a real musk skin scent. I was hoping this "hyper" collection would be a bit stronger/more projection than the core line, but it's just as light. I like it, but not unique or lasting enough to buy a full bottle (especially since I already a Courreges fragrance 'C' and enjoy that a lot more)

Opened with a pretty strong peppermint smell which faded away in about 1-2 minutes and let the vanilla become more prominent. For me this is mostly vanilla and some moderate musk and mint. Quite powdery as well. Doesn't stay on skin for a very long time and doesn't project super well. Not a bad smell but isn't really worth it for that price and with that performance. Would rate a 6.5-7/10.

My favorite perfume is another 13 and as much as I love so many scents this comes close to that one for me. Absolutely beautiful. Smells kind of like it too but with the softest most natural vanilla and a hint of mint. The Mint is definitely there but it’s so subtle, as if you cut mint leaves and got some on you. I actually don’t have the best words right now and refreshing yet so cozy

I love the natural, cooling mint at the start, but it fades away very quickly. The musk is sharp and synthetic at first, but turns cosy and clean soon after spraying. I get chocolate instead of vanilla. To me this is a fluffy, musky, cosy and clean milk chocolate fragrance. Likeable, but I expect more depth for this price.

I was so excited for this but it’s a little too simple for me. I wish it was slightly more peppermint or a deeper vanilla. I just don’t think its worth the price point. I do generally like it I just wont be purchasing a bottle.
