Hungary Water Eau de Cologne

At first I was deterred by the strength (eau de cologne? Sometimes EDT/EDP still doesn't do for me!) but I gave in because the first smell was so enchanting. So I got a bottle of this for myself and let me just tell you: don't let the EDC part scare you away. Hungary Water opens with big herby/floral whiff that reminds me a lot of rosemary and rose water mix. After a while, it settles into something sweeter, allowing the rest of the notes to shine through. This is a very pleasant, light, bright and fresh scent that is very appropriate for crisp summer days. On me, the sillage and longevity are both excellent. I'm not sure how the others got weak sillage and poor longevity because for me, I only need to re-spray (I decant mine into a small atomiser) every 6-8 hours and it leaves a trail that's enough for people around me to notice and compliment! Overall, this is a very crisp herbal/aromatic perfume that agrees well with both hot and cold weathers. If you get the chance to try it, you may want to give it a go. For the price, it's a pretty sweet deal. Rating: 8.5/10

I'm a hungarian girl, so it's a MUST HAVE!

HUNGARY WATER - LESS THAN ORDINARY _______________________________________________________ I tried 'Hungarian Water' today for the first time and I got really disapointed. It is a clean fresh scent, but it's less than ordinary. You can barely scent it on your skin, and when you do, it smells of fresh nothing. But this 'nothing' dissapears quite fast and then you aply it once more and once mor, hoping that it would (for some reason) last a little more this time. But it doesn't.

Almost bought this in tkmaxx as it looks and smells so elegant, but I put it on and by the time I was done browsing the store the scent had gone, and while I was smelling my arm the herby elements smelled a bit intense, like something that would probably become a note I wouldn't like. The bottle is also more of a decanter so I would worry it would go off before I use it up. Very nice bottle and box, though! Lucky me, I still have a tiny bit of the old formulation which I have been eking out, reluctant to empty the bottle! But today I received a bottle of the new product. I believe the old had a more pronounced Rosemary fragrance, but it's still present in the new, I'm glad to say. The scent of Rosemary is said to promote memory. Love it! I wore the old one the other day and got compliments on it hours later. We'll see how the new one lasts!
