Leather Musk

I have to admit that my first reaction was not positive when I tried it in the shop. But I walked around the mall for about half an hour and found that it kind of grew on me, so i went back and bought the special offer. That was a week ago. I'm now wearing it everyday and am happy that I got past the first impression. It is definitely white musk, and is reminiscent of one of the Body Shop offerings of a few years back. There isn't a whole lot of leather obvious upfront, but it is in the base notes in a subtle kind of way. There is an astringency to the opening notes that might seem reminiscent of some older lacquer-type hairsprays, but it doesn't last. I see that lemon is listed as being present, but I certainly couldn't notice any sign of citrus whatsoever. The vetiver is quite obvious and so is the musk. If they are not to your liking, then this is not your scent. If, however, you like something unusual, not overpowering, that provides a consistent scent throughout the day and doesn't seem to go stale, then it just might be for you. My advice is to get past first impressions and give it a chance.

Soft pale-brown musk. Sweet and warm musk, while the leather that is there (not much of it at all tbh) is brown not black (I prefer black ;) - glove not boots or jacket - and very soft. Cozy scent without much staying power (though the soft beige musk lingers a little bit) and fairly shallow. I don't get the astringency, woodiness or greenery at all. All in all, nothing special but likeable enough. 6/10 at the most.

It's a white musk mixed in with patchouli in the basenotes. If your expecting dark musk like in Kiels offering with the smell of leather you will be disappointed. It was so awful and generic I tossed it in the rubbish bin after one wearing.

I purchased this blind as I like musk and leather. But unfortunately this smells like hairspray and cheap shampoo. Pretty awful fragrance, very generic and synthetic.

wow Jack_Hunter i really bidded hard for a couple of bottles on ebay and lost every time.i am very disappointed and waited almost half year for a review.not even a tad leather?how about the musk? is it jovan musk type? edit:will not be taking a chance on this cologne.should of got this cologne when it first came out.now they go for 35-50 dollars and the other line go up towards the 100's.
