Venetian Violet Flower Water

I miss this perfume. I had a bottle year's ago but sadly it is all gone, I should've bought 3 bottles of it because when I finished my first bottle when I went to get another it was discontinued. I am now wearing some of the body lotion that I have left that I put on after my evening shower. I have been using it sparingly to savor it. This was one of the prettiest violet perfumes I have ever smelled. Soft, and delicate but it lingers like a gentle caress from a loved one. I miss many of the old Crabtree and Evelyn perfumes and wish I had invested in full bottles of many of their perfumes years ago. Like I've said in my other reviews before COVID I was too frugal and didn't splurge on myself as much as I wanted. Their new stuff falls so short, and I do not purchase a thing from them now. I wish they would bring these old classics back.

beautiful fragrance, I love this. I worried as a flower water that it would last only a few minutes but I find this has reasonable longevity for what it is, I get about 3-4 hours on my skin (increasingly faint of course) and about 5-6 hours on my clothes. Doesn't project much but I can smell it on me, which is lovely. It is a really lovely smell, not "old lady", not overly sweet (Molinard's Violette or Borsari Aqua di Parma are sweeter)there is a nice green note, maybe violet leaf as well as flower, a well rounded and lovely scent, not powdery. I'd love if longevity were greater, as the smell is gorgeous, but what more can I ask from a flower water?! I know this was released as a limited edition but I would love it if they would add this to their ongoing range and add additional toiletries like shower gels and body lotions.

I’ve been testing out some Violet perfumes now that this classic banger isn’t available, and most of them have made me feel a bit nauseous or given me a splitting headache (hello guerlain insolence!) because they’re just way too vanilla-sweet for me. The only ones I’ve smelt and quite enjoyed are the new limited edition Daisy Eau So Fresh Skies by Marc Jacobs.... This one actually smells like violets but isn’t very sweet. Stella Pop is sweet but not sickly and definitely has a Violet forward smell, but in quite an interesting scent. Recently I’ve tried Iconista by Aigner and it is a straight up Violet perfume! It starts off heavy on the red berries but very quickly dries down into a Violet scent that lands perfectly in the middle of the dry vs sweet spectrum.... Medium bodied!

This is a beautiful soft, powdery, delicate violet perfume in a gorgeous bottle. It is quite the opposite of heavy English violet scents such as Devon Violets and far more wearable, pure and gentle than many perfumes. The sillage is intimate and longevity is not huge but it is worth it in bringing out the beauty of the violets in such a tender, modern ''authentic'' scent way. It is also very nice for layering with other delicate scents or woody bases. A lovely perfume.

I am so lucky to have gotten this beauty from a friend who dislikes most floral scents. Her loss is my gain. This is a pretty and vibrant violet scent. Opens with a powdery violet, then mellows to a fresh & fruity violet, it is just lovely.
