The High Road

So I purchased the CRA-YON Discovery Kit which is a great, affordable kit from the French/Swedish duo Christine and Niclas Lydeen. As a swede I always get excited when I discover a new perfume house from my home country and this brand did not disappoint. Innovative and interesting perfume combinations with a simple and modern design. The first spray of The High Road fascinated me, it's like nothing I have smelled before, the cannabis, fig, sage, cedarwood, violet, and musk all come through in this little gem. I immediately fell in love with it and wanted to go for a full bottle asap but unfortunately the longevity is sooo weak that after only an hour I really had to nozzle my nose deep into my shirt and wrist to be able to smell anything at all. Very disappointing since I really felt that this could be the signature, cool girl, perfume I was looking for but alas, the search continues!

This is all about the Fig, Cannabis, Sage and Violet, and even though they are mostly topnotes, I feel that they carry more or less through the whole scent. There's a touch of Coconut, but fortunately it's not that prominent. A lovely fresh green scent with some nice woods and musk in the background. In the drydown the green wears off a bit and gives way to the woods and amber accords. This gives more or less the same effect as Dunhill - Fresh, just less masculine...this is straight up unisex. Thy the sampler set from this house...it's not that expensive and they have some nice offerings among them. If you're into fresh gourmands, I can't recommend Caramel Days enough.

This is a great green and herbal perfume, and I felt like a gardening witch with the sage being the star of the show - for a couple of minutes. Its extremely intimate, no silliage whatsoever, and the longevity is a joke. Once I got to the base Notes it was practically gone. Luckily I only bought a sample. Its such a shame because it holds potential but it’s the most watered down perfume I’ve ever come across. I’ve had soap linger longer on my skin.

Very heavy on the sage then it transforms into a fresh, cannabis leaf smell. Don't stay out for too long though as I feel it eventually turns into something cheap smelling. May be the coconut, I'm not sure but you might be able to see for yourself if this is in a discovery set or second-hand

Smelt like freshly cut grass mixed with citrus. Nice but nothing special & very weak.
