Les Garconnes Homage a Gabrielle

This little fragrance stick is a treasure. It strikes a lovely balance between floral and resin, but maintains a relatively low profile so as not to overwhelm. I would describe this as just a notch beyond a skin-scent, so it's a constant presence. I'm disappointed to have discovered this so late, and I'm sorry this house is no longer producing their fragrance products. I'm curious to see if I can find others from this line. There is a lovely creativity to this fragrance, unexpected and wonderfully surprising. A gorgeous value at a relatively low price point. Grab one if you can find it!

When I first applied it, I didn't like it. A bit later, I tried again, and didn't care for it. The leather scent put me off (may be because it was in the morning) but later in the day, I fell in love with it! Very unique scent. I can see this scent can have strong positive vs. negative. But I must say, TRY IT. I'm glad that I did.

These small solid perfumes are amazing. I liked Gabrielle because of incense I think. It's warm and soft. The smell doesn't last but I purchased it to use it sometimes on my wrists during day. It's perfect when you live in big towns with strange smells (pollution...) : Crazylibellules and the Poppies smells are clean.

Elemi heaven. Lovely, piney resin accompanied by the smell of a lambskin handbag. This stuff is so swoon worthy. Because this brand has been out of business for 2+ years and their "crazy sticks" are becoming rare, I only use this sparingly. Best leather ever.

I love the leather in this and the jasmine, too. Definitely the best of these little sticks, and I will be sad when my two are gone. :(

Thi sis a very light nice scent...actually it really reminds me of poppy!

Well, this is certainly ... interesting. I'd classify it as a gourmand because the primary note that I've been smelling for the past hour is potato peels. The incense and resin are there with the leather and florals but the overall effect is peeling potatoes while wearing a leather jacket and a dainty floral perfume. I generally love everything Crazy Libellule has made, especially the Poule de Luxe line. (Vanilla Moka? Worth killing for.) Since the company has apparently gone out of business I've been methodically buying one or more of everything but this one has been an amusing mistake. Note: after several more hours the potato has faded leaving a primarily tobacco note. Better but not really worth waiting for. Since these perfumes are solid body chemistry might matter more than usual. Sillage: tiny--paint a mustache with this to enjoy Durability: so-so Fabulosity: comme des pommes Price to value ratio: meh 3/10

I really enjoy this one. Lasts a long time, but stays close to the skin. Not overly floral, more of a woodsy powdery scent.Could easily be unisex, in my opinion. There is some note to it that I think is shared with Magnifique and La Nuit de L'homme, but I haven't figured it out yet. I was thinking perhaps vetiver, but it isn't listed in the notes. Very affordable, I think I paid 12 dollars for rthe 0.17 oz solid perfume, though I believe it's been discontinued. I really wish I could figure out that basenote common to all three, I absolutely love it!

I love this one. I get a rather linear peppery leather with incense notes. It is in no way masculine, but it is definitely unisex. Reminds me just a bit of a poppy seed natural soap I used to love that had smoky notes. Lovely.
