Poule de Luxe Vanilla Lemon Pie

Smells divine. such a shame that it doesnt last very long. However, its one that I keep in may bag to top up with as a 'pick-me-up'.

I bought this a few years ago and was intensely in love with it for a while. It really does smell like you just want to take a bite out of it (or yourself). I grew very tired of food scented products and tossed it. A friend had some recently and I smelled it and I had to buy a new one. I want it around for those occassions when I just want to smell something deliciosly sweet. Vailla lemon pie really covers it. That's what you get. Not a long lasting scent but I love solids because they are so portable. Yum.

I'm on the fence about this one. Reminds me of a lemon Froot Loops. I'm not a huge fan of vanilla scents, more for eating than wearing for my taste. Wish it smelt more like cream instead of vanilla caramel... like J.R. Watkins Lemon Cream Body Lotion. The sweetness of this one just comes off too juvenile for me... I'm a 28 year old who already passes for 18, I don't need more help.

Crazylibellule and the Poppies POULE DE LUXE VANILLA LEMON PIE delivers an excellent Demeter-like facsimile of vanilla cream pie with a touch of lemon zest thrown in for extra flavor. The opening is more lemony and has a touch of neroli, but for most of its life this composition smells exactly like vanilla cream pie. This is clearly a gourmand comfort scent, so anyone who prefers not to smell like a dessert should steer clear of the Poule de Luxe series of these charming little stick perfumes. However, those who love gourmand, dessert-like perfumes will be pleased to know that the notes in these compositions are very natural smelling. I also find that when these Crazylibellule and the Poppies solid perfumes are thickly applied, they have good longevity and really do heat up to produce a perfume-like sillage. The texture is very similar to Chapstick, and as I'm not a dessert perfume aficionado myself, I may use my VANILLA LEMON PIE (which I purchased for testing purposes for all of $8...) for lip protection in the cold winter, which has now officially arrived in the greater metropolitan Boston area: 18F!

I used to own this chap stick when I was a kid that smelled so delicious that I wanted to eat it. In fact, my brother actually did try to eat it, but spit it out immediately, thus quenching my desire for a taste. Vanilla Lemon Pie, however, is overriding my good sense and tempting me to pop open the cute yellow striped packaging and devour the perfumed contents inside. Lemon and vanilla with some sweet caramel. There's nothing groundbreaking about the scent-it reminds me of mouth watering lemon poppyseed muffins. It's delicious, it's fun, and so easy to just pop into your purse. The solid is decent as well--it goes on smooth, but really doesn't have much longevity.

@violetgoblin - these were discontinued years ago. I think the company went out of business? I had this Vanilla Lemon Pie one and it smelled soooo goood on the stick but it really did feel like rubbing glue sticks or disgusting pasty deodorant on my wrists and the smell didn't project at all. It wouldn't melt into my skin, it would just crumble into little white crumbs. That was over 10 years ago they were behaving that badly (I had 4 other colors besides lemon pie) so I can't imagine how old and crusty the one you found must be now in 2018! Mine all got bacteria or mold or something growing within and started smelling really foul so I had to throw them away.

Absolutely no lasting power whatsoever. Like rubbing glue stick on the wrists. Perhaps a very faint whiff of sweet citrus?? If I strain? Disappointing as I adore the lovely packaging. I sent this to someone as a RAOK. Hmmm. I got off EBay. Did I get an old one??
