Aberdeen Lavender

This kind of milky lavender fougere is an elegant and lovely thing but ultimately I find it a little boring. I can't understand why people rave so much about Caron Homme? Lavender is a lovely smell, especially when it smells natural but that perfume is far too linear and I don't get the comparisons to this. Luckily this outing from Creed follows more in the footsteps of Invasion Barbare or a taste of heaven, just smelling expensive & warm without any need for heaviness. Well, firstly...wow! This might even be my favourite Creed fragrance in first impression terms...Aberdeen Lavender is nothing short of stunning. The opening is magnificent, almost smokey lavender which is so well balanced and with slightly darker appeal to it, similar to Dior Eau Noire. This is typically well presented in the style of a classic fougere but has elements of citrus/herbal/leather/resin/vanilla/musk everything but blended to perfection. The fleeting very top notes of bergamot and lemon turn quickly into a natural and almost perfect lavender. The lavender and rosemary have dare I say, a slightly minty quality at first which freshens up proceedings further. This instantly combines with a soft, yet deep, leather heart note which is the main theme of this perfume. I honestly thought the longevity sucked as it does die down rapidly and actually turns to a very subdued skin scent but is still there. The base turns out to be a kind of ambery vanilla, supporting the soft leather and in the end longevity isn't too bad. I couldn't ask for more than a fougere fragrance with a oriental base, this stuff is smart and I really like it. However, I think it's the kind of fragrance most will think is okay and nothing more but something about Aberdeen lavender really speaks to me personally. I'm not sure whether I can justify this as a purchase priority because it's not a powerhouse in longevity or projection, however those attributes are not always synonymous with quality, because that's what you have here... A quality scent. I definitely think it's worth a sniff because I was pleasantly surprised.

I absolutely love Aberdeen Lavender! It starts out smelling like some type of extremely pure lavender that I’ve never smelled in perfume before. You also get freshly plucked and crushed herbs upfront. The initial blast makes me think of the Scottish countryside. Soon an animalic scent kicks in, and it’s not leather. A funky, dirty musk. It’s mixed with what I can only describe as “distant and mythical wild flowers,” like a fictional hybrid of jasmine & white lily. These flowers glow and sparkle in the dark forest. The animalic funk evolves into a pair of smooth black riding gloves. Yet the fragrance manages to remain clean and crisp. The base contains some vanillic resins (my guess is benzoin) and smooth vetiver. Although I would categorize Aberdeen Lavender as an everyday easy reach, it’s such a regal scent! When I wear it I honestly feel as though I’m cut from the upper crust. It’s an odd feeling from such a casual, easygoing fragrance. I can envision Princess Anne giving it a spritz before taking her horse out for a spin around the castle grounds. This would make such a nice equestrian perfume. Smells totally androgynous. Aberdeen Lavender has replaced Jersey as my favorite lavender perfume of all time. It’s less sweet, more complex, and smells more tidy. Plus, the hoity-toity factor that I enjoy! Reviews on Basenotes seem to understand this perfume well. I would suggest reading them for some additional descriptions. I also like @Ellg’s description below!

This may be a modern take on the Creed classic, "Royal Scottish Lavender". Short first impression: I was going over the Creeds, and vaulted Creeds. Checking on eBay for good deals, and I thought this is worth a blind buy. About $100. It is a unique lavender. The perfumer also crafted "Royal Oud", a very unique green oud. This has a strong anisey/ artemesia spice with the lavender. I first thought was, oh no, smells like bug spray. But it thankfully gets better. It is a bit darring and challenging fragrance. But they often become favorites, as we understand then and aquire a taste for them. I'm glad it's not all sharp green herbals and lavender. But there are the welcome florals, that soften the hard edges. An interesting touch of leather as well. I can see it not being so popular. As it is a mature fragrance. And lavenders are not the most popular. But I like lavender, and this is a good one. A classy fresh, spicy lavender best for Spring and Fall perhaps. Good office safe fragrance. A refreshing yet deep scent, slightly herbal and very aromatic ! I really love it. It's great for both sexes, the leather is freshened by the the lavender the Rose and the tuberose , the patchouli makes this earthy and elegant . The leather note is delicate but has a persistent presence through out along with the patchouli , it's deep and devine ! It's a great refreshing yet deep scent. I can see this working extremly well in the summer. Very different from most scents out there. I wore this in the car the other day picking up my son from school and he said , mom you smell really good ! I could see this scent on a man , in the summer , wearing jeans and a T shirt , it's masculine in a way ,,,, attractive , clean but warm and deep and aromatic. I like Ritarudnas review bellow ,,, it is sort of Amber gourmand vanilla ,,,, that's the warm cozy quality about it. The patch and leather gives it that full feeling. That depth. Desdals review is faboulus as well!

I don't know what other people are smelling when they say this smells like cleaning products (maybe they are picking up on the lavender). I have some cleaning products that have lavender in them. This is the only similarity. This fragrance is a smooth, comforting somewhat herbal lavender. It lays upon a bed of leather with lilies and patchouli sprinkled around. There is the faint scent of roses and tuberose coming from the garden it is laid out in front of. There is also Artemisia and rosemary mixed with the flowers in the garden. Lemon trees border the garden in the distance. I know vanilla is not listed in ingredients on Fragrantica, but I am picking up a bit of vanilla next to the leather. This is a gorgeous scent. Faintly sweet. But such a cozy and comfy scent. It makes you want to spray your sheets with it and sleep with the fragrance surrounding you. No one will mind, and everyone will love, hugging you. If coming home has a smell. this is it.

I love it!!! This was one of my first niche sniff and I almost bought it but I need before Delina exclusif...but now this will be my next...Levender is my favorite fragrance and this is so beautifule, so complicated and complex, well harmonisiert scent (absolute not a soliflor!) and also very feminine above 40. Must have scent for levender lovers! Edit: in the last 5 mounths when I used this was my favorite- always makes me feel like I’m a good woman with the right rich scent. Very pleasant, well blended scent-I dont like Creed but it’s a beautifule one. The levender with the white flowers, rosemary and artemisia and the soft leather notes-something ethereal! The drydown is creamy powdery leathery dream. And it’s unisex but IMHO absolute the woman side!!! 10/10

This is truly beautiful. Thanks to a delightful and knowledgeable sales rep at Neiman’s I have a sample of this and am trying it for the first time. At first it reminded me of men’s cologne but as it dried down I get a beautiful subtle lavender and rosemary. I don’t know why but something is also coming across as vanilla. Sillage is mild to moderate and provides a feeling of cozy comfort. This is a unisex fragrance and can be worn at any given time and is especially suited for “no-scent” offices (if done carefully), bedtime or any time where one needs to feel cozy, safe and sound. Since it’s pricey, I will continue to test and if it becomes a “buy” I will go to the trouble of making the purchase from the very kind and knowledgeable sales guy at Neiman’s.

This is by far the worst Creed ever, and I have tried 10 of them. Opens with a blast of cinnamon, bitter Artemsia and rosemary, the lilly begins to appear after 10 minutes. This is a lot of raunchiness with a half way decent lilly note. Waste of time and money... Creed classifies it as an oriental, that's why there is a huge cinnamon note that is persistantly strong for the first hour. There are no distinct floral notes, they are very well hidden and blended in with the masculine spicy notes. This starts out like Francis Kurkdjian 's Fleur du Male, spicy and oriental, but the florals never hardy shine, as in Fleur du Male.

Very well blended, aromatic, confortable, warm, woody fragrance. On my skin it opens with bergamote/rosemary notes, than lavender and amber come together. Tuberose and rose add some sweet and silky roundness. Patchouli, vetiver and leather (very soft leather, suede) stay on my skin. It's not overwhelming but soft and sweet and warm... If you like ambery scents this is a must have for the fall/winter season, like a comfortable cashmere sweater :-) Very good staying power. Projection is moderate, so elegant and classy! 10/10

I do not understand why people dislike this fragrance. Such as beautiful fragrance, well blended and absolutely a master piece from the house of Creed. A very herbal scent lavender in the beginning with slightly citrusy smell and when during the drydown, the lavender spread into a dry scent with the strong patchouli, vetiver and leather combination bringing the soft masculine whiff. This is definitely the most underrated Creed fragrances.

I don't trust this site anaymore. especially the reviews. People are trying too hard and sound pompous and pretentious Also nobody seems to accept critics. Only empty paeans. and let's say it - most of people here have very banal taste. Aberdeen - you don't need to use it. Use your Madmoiselle ,or Chance like you always do,but not being able to appreciate artism and many stages of devolopment of this beauty says a lot. Im fed up:(

So...I'm not a real big lavender fan but this has blown me away. It's a more natural lavender smell but the supporting characters do a wonderful job at keeping it grounded and not so much lavender in your face. I have another one from this line and it's a shame that this doesn't get as much attention as Aventus but trust me, it should. 9/10

I don't know why the writing is similar to caron !!! The lavender that this serves is very high quality, the playing of the notes is very beautiful, their paths are separate! Test and you will understand!

A very good scent. It's an ambery fougère with slightly animalic notes. Lavender is not aromatic, neither prominent. A modern Jicky !

Beautiful, beautiful, Creed style scent. Perfect for spring/summer. Well done.

At first, you get the sweet lavender together with soft leather notes supported with lily and tuberose and herbs. You can get rose/rosemary/wormwood nuances as well. This is beautifully mixed and develops into a lovely vetiver/patchouli combo supported with floral/leather musk. In the opening, you get some bergamot/lemon but it doesn't dominate the smell rather supports the lavender note. Some reviews may suggest this smells dated, but I would rather say it's natural. Indeed reminding of some kind of getaway to the rustic farmlands, having fun in fields, woods, plains... The transformation during drydown is spectacular, I was about to get bored with the lavender/leather accord but it had developed into a pleasurable woody scent adding depth to somehow simple fragrance. It is a nice surprise for me, the lavender here, by the way, reminds me a lot of new Tom's Ford Beau de Jour type, timid, soft yet very elegant and sophisticated. I feel this will grow on me. To sum up its a nice fusion of traditional old-school cologne, re-designed, softened and given some olfactoric nuances that can be picked up by a trained nose. This doesn't surprise me that it didn't get proper attention, as it's probably too challenging for beginners.

About my experience with AL. Opens with a somewhat harsh and crisp lavender that could turn some people off, as it did me the first time I tried it. I decided to 'revisit' the perfume one day when I was craving lavender recently. This one REALLY needs to develope on the skin. Give it 10 minutes for the lavender to soften with the leather's following, for it to settle into a divine and cozy scent that lasts for around 4 hours. (I wish it lasted a bit longer.) I enjoy this one best when applied to my wrists or elbows and I'm constantly sniffing myself and LOVING this gorgeous perfume. ADORE wearing this to bed. Wonderfully 'soothing!' There's a bottle at my bedside, permanently. Maybe one of Creed's most underrated gems! It deserved a 'nicer' name Mr Creed! Perhaps Royal Lavender? :)))) *** 4 days after posting this review, I had to buy a bottle! How exciting! Love this perfume.

This is a review on the first release that was originally spelled Aberdeen Lavander. I would describe this as a velvety lavender. The two listed notes that might lend to the velvety vibe to me are tuberose and patchouli. While neither are obvious at all, which they normally dominate a fragrance, it would actually make sense and a small use of them are really wise in some cases, especially with tuberose. While I like that smell, it usually overpowers other notes to the point that it’s just another tuberose fragrance. I suppose there is an element of herbal here but again not the main star. I detect no leather at all. There is some citrus that’s in the background. I detect no rose or vetiver. Mostly this is lavender with subtle other various notes, but not a lavender powerhouse like a lot out there (and I love me some powerhouses).

Freshly sprayed, this is an amazing amalgam of notes that to me aren't individually discernible, but have an overall effect of a creamy, sweet porridge. I know that sounds weird, but that's what I took away from it. Scent...8/10...lovely and rich when first applied it is, unfortunately, like Scottish sunshine, very fleeting Projection 4/10...very minimal after about 45 minutes to an hour. Fortitude 5/10....sits close...very close....for 4 to 5 hours and then it's gone Full bottle worthy...no way at creed prices...I would be hard pressed to spend one third of the amount this costs. It's undeniably well constructed with proper ingredients like all creeds perfumes, but that's not good enough here.

quiet afternoon at home after some time at the outdoor market. aberdeen lavander is pleasant, relaxing with a fade to purple gray cloud. the citrus keeps it bouncy, the patchouli etc base keeps it grounded. not being a creed fan, al is a safe bet for me when i want a gentle, almost sachet, presence. it does not seek to impress; just a good buddy to hang with. the lavander is very natural, and with the additional elements, it is a bit more complex than simply an essential oil or a soliflor. price point could be an issue here. for those seeking "bang for the buck." it may not deliver. it is serviceable for those who enjoy a bright lavender without a lot of fussiness.

The initial spray is a lot - not a bad way. It’s like walking through a dense dense forest. Citrusy, leathery, spicy, herby. It’s earthy and dirty, but in a beautiful mossy mud at the bottom of your walking boots kind of way. And then, as the fragrance settles, you break through into a clearing, and boom, lavender. Soft, comforting, beautiful lavender. It sits very close to the skin, and feels intimate - but not in a sexy way. This is like wearing a white cotton nightdress, elegant and comforting, the best of the old school. But do you want to pay £200 for a white cotton nightdrfess, now that’s another question.

I really enjoy this one. It is one of the better lavender forward fragrances that I have put my nose on. It has a kind of lemony lavender opening that comes in kind of brash, but settles into a very wonderful natural lavender smell on the dry down. On my skin the citruses come out, but smelling it out of the bottle it is very calm and almost vanillic. There's something about it that reminds me of a bowl of fruity loops. I'm not getting a lot of vetiver or leather honestly. Just an extremely well balanced natural lavender smell.

To my nose, Aberdeen Lavander is a glamorous perfume for a nature lover. It’s lush, beautiful, transportive, and engaging. I love it from the aromatic opening to the soft leathery dry down. High quality ingredients mixed well is Creed’s jewel in the crown and this perfume is included in that trope. There’s a real old school feel about it, yet it modern and wearable. Refrain from over spraying. Find a sample, give it a go...you might find that you love it t.

I feel like I'm Pig Pen from the Peanuts except it's lavender instead of dust, lol. Not saying this in a bad way, though. Aberdeen Lavender is just so incredibly creamy yet dry. Definitely in the same sort of atmosphere as Shalimar. A "like" for sure. I just can't think of a scenario when I would wear this in tropical Florida.

This is a very elegant fragrance, though not very powerful. Others have likened it to Bois du Portugal and for me there is ever so faint a wisp of that. It reminds me more of a VERY toned down version of Caron pour Homme. It is nice, but for me not worth the price of admission...

Aberdeen Lavander will smell like an "mature woman's" perfume if you keep sticking your nose to the spot where you sprayed. It's better enjoyed by just relaxing and smelling the scent in the air around you. Try before you buy. Perhaps not the best choice for younger men.

Begins with a nice, spicy, harsh, lavender that, if you are not a fan of the lavender, you will throw this at the wall. Unless, you realize how much this is worth, give it a few minutes until it settles, and it now turns into a soft, beautiful, floral lavender, blended beautifully. It's nice, it's pretty, it's elegant, but, it's more for the fans of lavender and florals than it is for me (as a guy) I'd recommend this for a mature woman, not so much for a guy. Spring time hands down.

I think I’m alone on this: The opening to me smells like a photorealistic black licorice. It’s crazy because those aren’t the notes and other reviews. The dry down smells like generic flowers. Sadly? The tester strip dry down smells awesome. Unisex powder and lavender, but on skin (not just mine but my friends), it feels like an air freshener more than a parfum.

I was wondering why this one in Creed's Acqua line can be had for much cheaper than Vetiver Geranium. I took a chance to see if this would be a worthwhile aromatic fougere and unfortunately, it's not. It reminds me a lot of Lalique Pour Homme (Lion Head) and Caron Pour un Homme. The opening of Aberdeen Lavander has a very similar medicinal+slightly tart & slightly bitter lavander just like the Lalique. When the Creed starts to drydown, this medicinal lavander subsides and the florals come forth. But unlike Lalique where the florals have a buttery, masculine edge, the florals in Creed are rather soft and unisex-leaning. It almost seems like there is some vanilla in the Creed at this stage, hence the Caron comparsion. I don't detect a strong leather/patchouli combo at all. The longetivity is just okay at between 4-6 hours for me. Projection is soft which I think suits this type of scent so no issues there. The difference in quality is not THAT far better in the Creed to justify paying the price when you can just get the Lalique & the Caron. However, if you are a woman who wants to have an aromatic fougere in their collection that can easily be pulled off, Aberdeen Lavander is the one to get. Otherwise, this is NOT a must-have at all. Opens up with a relaxing minty lavender. This is the lavender i like, the one found in Cool Water and in La Nuit. Sweet. A few seconds later... no, stop... NO! Le horreur! It transformed from the gentle lavender into the kouros bathhouse monster smell of the 80s. So disappointing, I rather it smelled like a cleaning product all day long. The drydown gets better, fixes up the mess with a powdery patchouli. In a nutshell, not a lavender centered scent.

I was looking for a lavender in this one. I get lavander, it is very nice and natural, but on my skin I get a Rosemary/amber notes break-down which I don't like, since it becomes too sticky. I Think it suits more a man, but being a woman, it just doesn't fit me. I have warm skin, which could be the reason why the scent behaves as it does. I would prefer the lavender scent from a Hermessence line (in Purple hue bottle).

Very disappointed in Aberdeen Lavender, having loved Bois du Portugal, the other Lavender-heavy Creed offering. This, has none of Bois du Portugal's charm and is a mess of Lavender, Lily and Leather with very little change in scent during it's life time. It does have pretty good longevity however, as do most Creed's (in my experience). I'm surprised it's listed as unisex, as I found it to be incredibly feminine.

I did not try it on my skin as when I smelled it on the paper, I did not like it at all. I think it is a masculine scent, but based on the other reviews, I feel that I have to give it a skin test to see how it works out with my chemistry. The lavender note was the most noticeable, and I did not care for that.

I won this in a drawing. The first spray of this is like a toxic cleaning product. It's is really awful. Then it settles down into a cheap old fashion lavender. I can't believe they charge so much for this. It is definitely not worth it.

After reading all these wonderful reviews, I wonder if my bottle went bad or if its just me. I have tested it numerous times but I don't get the "heavenly scent" you all describe.

Fragrance Review For Aberdeen Lavender Creed Top Notes Bergamot Orange Lemon Rosemary Artemisia Middle Notes Lavender Lily Rose Tuberose Base Notes Vetiver Leather Patchouli One of the all time best lavender fragrances in the Creed fragrance line. Lavender. What can be more English than lavender. This is not a lavender soliflore but the notes are all designed to come back to lavender. Pastoral, purple, spicy and unisex lavender. It's not a bouquet of lavender. Rather it is a field of lavender. It's lavender for days. Lavender on your hair. The scent is potent so don't put too much of it on. And while it is expensive, it does not mean it has to replace other superb and more affordable lavender scents like Old English Lavender by Yardley or the lavender in Oh! de London by Tuvache. This is a more full bodied and more long lasting version of those lavender scents. The opening is citrusy. Nothing special just fresh and perfumy old time barbershop citrus after shave. Then there is a mixture of floral scents that can be detected and identified as lavender, rosemary, lily and rose. There's enough of the lavender to make it a supreme lavender but it's married to rosemary which is a note I've always thought smelt quite similar to lavender. The rose matches up with the citrus so this is more of an orange rose and even a bit like a tiny orange blossom. The lily and tuberose white floral scents are lovely and finish the fragrance's middle stage. The dry down is like a man's soap. It has darker and stronger aggressive notes of patchouli and vetiver. It's earthy, green and aromatic. It throws out enormous sillage. The scent is best applied with a light hand. I put some on on my chest. The scent lingers and fills the air with it's pastoral and green Irish hill aura. Absolutely gorgeous.

I had been so focused on obtaining a sample of Creed's Iris Tubereuse that I had inadvertently dismissed the rest of this Acqua Originale line. Aberdeen Lavander is a stunning fragrance and may even appeal to those that usually aren't fans of lavender scents. Aberdeen Lavander is incredibly soothing and somewhat powdery on my skin. Lavender is naturally the most dominant note, followed by aromatic rosemary, dry vetiver, green patchouli and sweet tuberose. This fragrance does tend to lean more feminine rather than masculine, but then again I haven't smelt this on a man's skin yet. Aberdeen Lavander reminds me of Annick Goutal's Eau de Lavande. The Creed is more fresh and delicate, however, they both share a similar powdery drydown. It's a shame that both these scents are now discontinued. We are severely lacking a decent range of lavender scents in the current fragrance market. I would happily wear Aberdeen Lavander in both Autumn, Winter and Spring. As I live in Australia, where our summers are harsh and uncomfortable, I would never reach for such a powdery scent. But in saying that, if your Summer months are more tolerable, you could definitely wear Aberdeen Lavander all year round. This Acqua Originale line doesn't last quite as well as the fragrances in Creed's regular line-up. They are Eau de Parfums however and do last an average of four hours on my skin regardless of the weather.

With the revamp of Creed's Acqua Originale Collection on the horizon, Aberdeen Lavander has officially been vaulted. I got my bottle in the mail yesterday and it's miles better than I thought it would be given the fact that pretty much no one talks about this fragrance and it has been shelved from Creed's lineup likely thanks to low sales. The opening of this fragrance is surprisingly harsh and bold, similar to Le Labo Labdanum 18 and Helmut Lang EDP. As the fragrance progresses you will mostly be getting a more transparent and less gourmand version of Frederic Malle's Musc Ravageur. I even get whiffs of Louis Vuitton Nuit de Feu's stunning vanillic and resinous drydown after a full day's wearing. Why did Creed sell this awesome fall and winter fragrance in an "Acqua" collection? The world may never know, but I am so glad that this fragrance was made and that I have a bottle. I am convinced that this fragrance failed due to its confusing marketing, not due to any lack of perceived quality. If Creed had released this in their standard men's line alongside the likes of Royal Oud and Bois du Portugal, it would definitely still be around and selling well. In fact, if they re-released this formula in a men's bottle with a different name I really think it could be a hit. They should give it a thought.

I think the closest comparison I have for Creed Aberdeen Lavender might be the vintage version of Yardley's English Lavender (not the modern feminine-targeted version with strong jasmine that competes with the lavender), except the Creed might be creamier in the drydown. I can smell a bit of comparison with Frederic Malle's Musk Ravegeur, but Musk Ravageur is sweeter. Aberdeen Lavender has a slight but noticeable indolic smell that I guess is attributable to the tuberose. It also has a few similar characteristics with Guerlain Heritage/Roja Danger. But to my nose it differs from Un Pour Homme de Caron. The Aberdeen Lavender is creamier and although the lavender is rather straightforward, not as raw as the Caron's. I do not get a whole lot of similarity with MDCI Invasion Barbare or other similar fougeres, "barbershop" or not. Aberdeen Lavender is more straightforward with rather unadorned lavender, different than beautiful compositions like Bois du Portugal or Tom Ford Beau de Jour, where the lavender is magnificently blended with other notes. Aberdeen Lavender is not bad, but it won't give Bois du Portugal a run for its money.

Strongly disagree with jasminalia. Opens with a spicy, leathery, lavender. The Artemisia is the strongest top note. It smells like fenel and tarragon. The citrus is not very prominent which is unusual for creed. The heart of the fragrance is very sexy. The lavender and tube rose dance around with each other so well. The lily adds sweetness to the fragrance with rose lending its powder and coolness. It really has such a nice heart, with good projection as well. The rosemary still lingers around making it very wearable for a gentleman. After a few hours the base comes to the surface. Creed does something very special with its base notes. They are just strong enough to be noticed by the people around you, the leather is not very noticeable at the end, it was much more noticeable in the opening and heart, but the patchouli and vetiver softly kiss your nose good bye. I really enjoy this fragrance. It lasts a long time and has something special to it. try it out you might like it.

Wow...what a pleasant fragrance. So, I just received my bottle in the mail and I am so excited. First, if you are not careful the initial spray could turn you off being heavy fern-like. Give this a chance to enhance and evolve into its goodness!! This fragrance is very fougere, yet, oriental. This fragrance is a little spicy...brings to mind the idea of Christmas. The dry down is AMAZING; at first, I thought it smelled like something I've smelled before, however, it changed into its goodness before I knew it and then I was like, "This is awesome!" Unlike any thing I have smelled before. The interesting thing is, I bought this as a blind buy at a really great deal and I am glad I did!!! This fragrance is masculine, but could be classified as a unisex fragrance. You do get the powdery element in the beginning, however, it moves backstage and this sweet fern comes out. Try this...again, it is not like other fragrances. Totally different and good!!!!

This smells better when you spray lightly and it dries down. Too much and you’re left nauseated and for me I know it’s that friggin leather note I can’t stand in most fragrances. It always makes me feel dizzy. I prefer suede but not in huge quantities. But when it dries down on my skin I get this lightly sweet herbal spicy vanilla type of thing going on. I dig that part of it. Edited: sometimes it dries down to a leather, motor oil smell on me and it’s almost 100 degrees where I am. Not a good mix. This is another love and hate thing for me. Still can't stand the leather. Maybe it's also the rosemary and artemesia I’m not a fan of.

I don't live close to a Saks. Was recently in Indy and made sure I stopped at the Creed counter at Saks. Was introduced to this new fragrance. Was told they didn't carry it in the store and it only came in one size @ $300.00 a pop. I loved the scent as it was so different from anything I'd ever smelled before but couldn't bring myself to spend 300 for something I hadn't tried out for a day or two. The nice lady at the counter gave me a generous sample. She had to register me for the sample, but it was worth it! I'm looking forward to trying it now that I'm home.

i purchased this one a few days ago and i never feel regret about the price,starting with notes it's not very familiar at all,the main notes here is lavender surrounding by bergamot and lemon and the other notes are hidden but ,they are doing a very good job with the main notes,very comfortable and elegant you can wear it in any time you like there is no specific time for it,very modern lavender smell,you will feel that once you own it. projection:5 hours maybe 6 last for 8 hours or 10 hours. overall:10/10

Jasminalia- you are so right, a modern Jicky. I smelled this and was instantly reminded of something but couldn't quite place the smell memory and then it came to me, it was Jicky. I absolutely love this. It's refined, subtle, warm and interesting and it propelled me to commit to a full bottle. I stopped wearing Jicky a while ago as it no longer resembles the old one but this is an excellent substitute. Special.

If someone claimed this to be a solinote lavender, I might be inclined to believe them. It is indeed similar to Pour un Homme de Caron, but without the vanilla. So, if you like the lavender in PuHdC and would prefer it without the vanilla, this could be an option. I like both of them. Then again, if this is a slightly modified and overpriced replica of the Caron, maybe the latter makes a lot more sense?
