Absolu Aventus

I own Aventus (F batch 2023/2024, 2018 A batch, and some terrible batch from 2021), Aventus Cologne (2019 among the first batches released), and 2025 Absolu Aventus (one of the first batches) as well as a sample of the original Absolu. Smelling the original Absolu and Absolu 2025 side by side, they're very similar. At initial open, the original has a more buttery, borderline gourmand element to my nose vs the 2025 being a little smoother, fruitier, and fresher; after that, super similar to the point you can't really tell. The rest of my review will be about the 2025 version. I smelled it at Saks and bought a 100mL for $319 from a trusted discounter less than a week later. It was worth that, but definitely not $610. I would highly recommend buying the 2025 version in 100mL for the same price/likely less than the 75mL original. Of Aventus, Cologne, and Absolu, I think Absolu is the best and the one I'd keep if pressed to choose. Cologne and Aventus are so similar. Absolu, while a flanker, takes a very different path and is not redundant to own in conjunction with Aventus or Cologne. Longevity on Absolu for me so far is better than Aventus, but my Cologne has macerated for about 5-6 years to perform similarly to Absolu now. I've only had Absolu a few days, so I expect after a few months, it's probably going to turn into a beast. My wife isn't really into fragrances. I asked her what she thought about Absolu, and she said, "It's pretty good" and "alright." The only fragrance she LOVES on me is Louis Vuitton Afternoon Swim or Ex Nihilo Blue Talisman. I'll wear the rarest Tom Ford, Xerjoff, Creed, Roja, etc... and she either dislikes them or more often says it's just okay. So I really just buy these for myself. So what does myself think? It's a great release. Yes, it's kinda a cash-grab, but I think I'll keep a bottle in the collection always. It smells inoffensive and what I'd call a "power fragrance." It definitely gives a successful, boss type of vibe. It therefore is slightly more mature smelling than Aventus/Cologne. Not that it's grandpa-like or anything... just not something you'd expect on a college frat guy. While it is darker smelling than Aventus/Cologne, I don't think it's out of place year-round, but think it definitely favors the winter. It's blazing hot Summer here, and I feel comfortable wearing Absolu. It favors dressing up, but it's versatile enough that casual wear is fine. Would I wear it to a pool party? No, but general going to work/meetings, this is perfect anytime. Yes, it's expensive. Yes, it's worth it from discounters. Is it revolutionary? No, but what it does, it does incredibly well beyond what I think any clone can provide.

So, this isn’t so much of a review of Absolu but more a comparison between the brand new 2025 release and the very first batch of Absolu from a side-by-side test. Firstly, I’ll put it out there by saying they are both great fragrances that carry the Aventus dna but in a darker, spicier and more intense manner. Doing a side by side comparison of the two versions, they’re virtually the same. I think it’d be difficult to tell them apart unless you did a direct comparison. My original Absolu is a first release and it smells very slightly richer and perhaps a little sharper. The 2025 version is a touch brighter and juicier up top. I find the patchouli is more present in the new version but I think that’s because the spice element isn’t so high to overlay the base. I don’t think Creed intended to do a new version per se, rather the manufacturing process, differences in natural ingredients or different raw materials has led to a slightly different scent profile but to my nose any differences are negligible. Of course, my original bottle has also matured so any difference could solely be down to that. Performance is similar. I get decent longevity from Absolu but I do find that it dies down quickly and I wish its projection was stronger. The original Absolu does seem slightly more potent on my skin though. Again, it’s just that touch richer and deeper which makes it slightly more intense. Overall, I prefer the original. It’s just feels a little more complex and richer. Patchouli’s not a favourite note of mine and I smell it less in the old version which isn’t as earthy in the drydown as the new version. They really aren’t that different though, to my nose anyway. As they dry down, they get closer. My guess is that it’s the same fragrance but my original bottle has matured leading to a slightly richer and denser experience. No doubt we’ll hear lots of talk about differences between the two versions but I think for most people, they’d see them as virtually the same. 2025 has less of the warm spice thereby taking it closer to the original Aventus and it feels a bit thinner, not quite as intense, which in itself gives a very slightly different scent profile. Personally though, I wouldn’t get hung up about any differences in the two versions, they are only minor and you can barely tell them apart. It’s all subjective of course but I hope this helps if anyway was wondering about any differences.

Absolu does a great job of retaining the classic Aventus DNA, but differentiating itself enough to rationalize owning this and the OG. This is richer, slightly deeper, darker, and woodier than the OG. It also opens juicier and dries down warmer and smoother. I only use this in the late fall, winter, and early spring. The richness of Absolu allows these notes to hold their weight in colder weather, plus since I own the OG and Cologne, it makes sense to use my Aventus's seasonally. Now you could use this almost year-round if this was your only flanker, except in blazing heat and humidity...I think the density of Absolu may become cloying and "too rich" in that weather. Of course, if you're hanging out in a climate controlled environment all day, it doesn't matter when you wear this. Regardless, I think the warm spicy aromatics (cinnamon and cardamom) make this profile better suited for cooler seasons. Longevity is better than the OG. I get close to 9 hours with strong projection off my skin for the first hour/hour and a half with my usual 8 sprays - 4 on my sternum, and sides and back of neck, and 4 on my forearms and wrists. The bubble thereafter is noticable and very pleasant. People love it and you'll get compliments. In conclusion, this is good stuff. I do like the OG more because it's brighter, more uplifting, and the most versatile. Cologne is my third favorite because it doesn't last that long and its lacking the punchy fruit blast found in the OG and absolutely Absolu. 9.0/10 - it's excellent, but my heart still belongs to the OG.

Absolu Aventus, what a gorgeous opening. Unfortunately I think Absolu Aventus is held back by its popularity, it smells incredible but also very common, like I smell it often on other people or in other places. The smell itself is amazing and very well blended. Both on the opening and dry down there is a lovely mix of fruit, citrus, spice, wood and freshness. It is interestingly hard to pick out any one note definitely or identity particularly ones to me but I think that speaks to the quality of the blend. Absolu Aventus smells like a singular combined note. The performance is perfect on Absolu Aventus as well. It lasted about 9 hours on my skin and about 7 on my clothing. A 8/10 for longevity. The projection was also incredible, radiating just outside my arms length for the first 6 hours before fading to a skin scent for the last 3. An 9/10 here for projection. Absolu Aventus is a hard one for me to rate overall. It perfomes extremely well and it smells absolutely amazing as a fragrance & a scent. The issue is that Absolu Aventus is a fragrance that I feel like I smell all over the place. That aside it’s an 8/10 for me purely based on the smell and the performance. When I consider the fact I feel like I smell it on a daily basis, it’s still a 6/10 or a 7/10 for me. I love the fact that all of its notes are blend together in a way that makes it a singular scent instead of multiple distinguishable notes.

Creed Week Day 7: Saved the best for last, this is a banger! Concluding the Creed Week, a review for Absolu Aventus. It opens up with pineapple cranked up to 11, with supporting citruses and soft sweet spice. At the drydown, the spice becomes more prevalent, but the top notes never fade completely. It turns heads, and is designed specifically to be more "in your face" than regular Aventus. It's multipurpose, you can pull it off as your daily wear or as a special occasion scent. If you already have Aventus and love the DNA, I recommend you also check the Absolu out: wear Original as a daily and Absolu for special events. Imagine the original Aventus was split down the middle. The freshness and juiciness went to Cologne, and the fruitiness and spice went to Absolu. Absolu has also improved on performance with a whole-day longevity and good sillage. Despite the VERY high price point, I believe that this fragrance delivers its promises. As with most expensive bottles, it is not blind buy safe and should be tested thoroughly before purchase. I advise you get a tester set from Creed directly, and choose Absolu and either Oud Zarian or Cologne as your "additional picks" for the biggest bang for your buck. Overall 9.5/10. Probably my next pick. EDIT: As of now, I own a full bottle of this.

Wow. This is amazing. This reminds me of an older smokier Aventus batch with elevated pineapple and a touch of something along the lines of Dior Homme Elixir. I don’t get cinnamon or much ginger, but I definitely get the patchouli, vetiver and cardamom. The smokiness comes out after a couple of hours in a similar way as Mancera Cedrat Boise. This is aptly named and could have been called Aventus Elixir. It is bigger and heavier than any standard Aventus bottling I have tried and lasts forever. Good projection as well. Nice bottle if that matters to anyone. This is 100% an all season fragrance except very hot summer days IMO. Could easily be a dumb reach fragrance for any occasion including office if you keep it to 2-3 sprays. I own recent batches of Aventus, Aventus Cologne and even Mancera Cedrat Boise, Tiziana Terenzi Orion, Armaf Club De Nuit Intense and Nishane Hacivat... Absolu Aventus blows them all away. I am very impressed with this one. The one drawback is the price. $600+/100ml is stupid. It can be found for just over $300 from the big discounters if you are patient though.

It opens with a sharp, fresh, and very dynamic burst of pineapple and citrus. As it develops, the sweetness increases in the heart notes; the scent becomes fruitier, juicier, and deeper in character. Toward the dry down, spicy and woody notes stand out more clearly, creating a more serious and masculine aura. It clearly carries the DNA of Creed Aventus; however, compared to the original, this version feels more masculine, sweeter, sharper, and deeper. For that reason, it suits colder weather and well-dressed evening outfits especially well. While Aventus is an easier choice for daily wear, the Absolu version feels more appropriate for nighttime use, although it can still be worn comfortably in all seasons. Overall, it’s a dynamic, partly fresh composition with a slight soapy touch, masculine yet well-balanced. It belongs to one of those fruity, soapy, and woody masculine profiles that women tend to appreciate most on men. That said, since this scent style has become quite common, some may find the price a bit high. Performance is noticeable for around 6–8 hours on average.

The opening is fresh and fruity with that dark smooth twist. From the first spray it just smells rich and confident. I know people like to say this DNA is overused or done, but honestly I don’t see it that way. Nothing really replaces this. It’s still the king for a reason. Performance is good, especially for a Creed. Longevity goes around 8 to 10 hours, and projection is nice in the first couple of hours then it settles down but stays present. No real issue here. The quality is what stands out the most. You can feel it. Smooth, clean, but with a slight darkness that gives it character and masculinity. Every time I wear other fragrances, I end up coming back to this and saying Creed quality is just different. I’d definitely recommend it if you appreciate this DNA and want something you can wear anytime, anywhere. Works all year, day or night. Price is high as expected, and it leans more mature, but if you get it, you’ll understand. I have a love/hate relationship with this fragrance. To start, the opening of this may be the best citrus I have ever smelled. It is extremely juicy. The dry down on this is weird to me, but not in a bad way. It almost smells like a cookie. This cookie isn't gourmand at all though it's a manly cookie. Makes my stomach feel uneasy at times in the super high heat if I overdo it because of this part. I still love this smell though. The reason why I hate it is because I go anosmic to it at like 5-6 hours in. The smell is amazing but I can't smell myself half the time. I absolutely know the smell is still there because I receive most of my compliments 6 hours in. Still an amazing signature scent worthy frag that can be worn all the time. Smells like a very well put together man. I'd give it a 10/10 if it were a tad cheaper. Price is ridiculous.

It opens with a bright, fresh burst, layered with a darker nuance that’s a bit hard to place—likely the pepper lending it that subtle depth. From there, it leans into the familiar territory: juicy pineapple, crisp citrus, and that signature Aventus-style profile. What stands out here is the added touch of bubblegum-like sweetness, which softens the composition while dialing back much of the smokiness found in earlier interpretations. Versatility is where this really shines. It’s an easy grab for just about any setting—casual days, the office, the gym, or even more dressed-up occasions. That said, the price point is tough to justify. With so many well-executed alternatives available, it makes recommending this a bit difficult. Ignoring cost, it’s an easy 8.5 out of 10. Factoring in the price, it settles closer to a 7 out of 10.

Really good, what else is there to say? A spicier 'darker' version of Aventus. Not necessarily better, I like them both almost equally, but maybe I like the O.G. a little bit more. Sometimes when I get a whiff of this it sort of pulls into a gourmand direction with that cinnamon, maybe that spice just reminds me of something edible. Otherwise, nothing sticks out too much, it just smells very well blended. I have tried a lot of dupes of this and the O.G. and honestly nothing really comes close, even better dupes like Armaf Precieux fall short after a few minutes. So call it boring, overplayed or whatever but the whole Aventus line consists of quality blends. Would I buy a full bottle of this? Maybe not right now cause I'm kinda broke but if I find a great deal, yeah.

Wow, wow, wow What can I say about you aventus absolu? Got a free decant from BrandCologne so I was lucky enough to experience it without the experience of emptying my pockets to spray it. When I wear this fragrance then smell myself I cant help but smile. This is one of THOSE scents It cant be boiled down to just notes on a screen so let me put it like this You step out of the bathtub of a luxury hotel, then make your way to the balcony and slide the door open. The night is cool and the moon is shining bright. You make your way to the kitchen and slice yourself a fruit bowl. As you finish, you walk over to your seat by the door then a slight breeze hits you and everything comes together in a perfect smooth mix

Absolu Aventus 2025 by Creed is what I’d call a true “joker” in any collection, incredibly versatile, effortlessly wearable, and perfectly suited for professional settings. It carries the Aventus DNA in a smoother, more refined way. It’s not loud or attention-seeking, but it still gives you that subtle confidence and uplifting feeling throughout the day. I find it ideal for office wear, clean, elegant, and non-offensive, yet still full of character. It brings joy every time I wear it, without ever feeling overwhelming 🤩. In my opinion, this is one of the safest yet most enjoyable fragrances from Creed. A true all-rounder that works in any season and any occasion especially at work.

Creed Aventus Absolu takes the iconic Aventus profile and deepens it into something darker and more refined, opening with a vibrant hit of citrus and pineapple before quickly introducing spice—ginger, pink pepper, even a touch of cinnamon—that gives it a sharper, more assertive edge. As it develops, the scent leans into smoky vetiver, patchouli, and musky woods, creating a richer, more mature base that feels less playful and more intentional than the original. It’s smoother and more complex with a slightly heavier presence, making it better suited for evenings or cooler settings, though it loses a bit of the effortless versatility that made Aventus so universally appealing.

Exquisite Polished Perfection. Yes its painfully expensive, but its one of the few fragrances I know of that I can say I would not change at all. Its just so much more well done that its competitors. It 1) amped up what made them great (pineapple/citrus), 2) added delicious juicy fruit, and 3) resolved the issues with the OG/cologne (excessive smokiness) by toning down the birch to a perfect amount that balances out all of the fruits and keeps it masculine without smelling like burnt woods. Magnificent from start to finish. My only nitpick would be that longevity isnt the best. It does not last a full workday for me. I get closer to 5 hours.

The Batman's Creed If Aventus is the day, the bright and the vibrant, Absolu is the night, the shadow and the restraint. Absolu removes the brightness and replaces it with depth, smoke, and mysterious luxury touch. There is no loud opening, no playful freshness. It’s perfect for any climate and occasion. It is long-lasting and memorable, but not a fragrance that overwhelms or bothers people around you. If I had to describe it in 3 words, they would be: Refined, Mysterious and Dark. Overpriced? Definitely. but the scent is perfect. If I had to chose only one Creed, this is the one. Regards, Kovac

Guys listen to me. This juice is just phenomenal. I truly convinced that due to all the thousands of clones out there of Aventus, Creed wanted to “revive” the magic that Aventus had in 2010-2015 when is was the absolute King. They released this masterpiece. It really reminds me of the old Aventus with this spicy kick and masculinity, and the same feeling I had when I first smell of Aventus which was more than 10 years ago. No clone can copy that, even now - no clone can get to this smell. This is just 10/10 for me. I hope it won’t get ruined by all the mega clones that ruined the old king.

very very good frgrance, is it better then the 2023 one? i would say yes i have both and i can definitely say that the new 2025, in the opening it is the best frgrance of all time but only for 10 to 20 min then it become 95% similer to the old 2023 one its practically the same but more smoth without the brich and smoky note which i do prefer its more refined but i wish the opening was there for all the time. longevity -nothing crazy i get 5-6 hours the price god dammit thats a rubbery i spent 400 and thats to much so 610 is crazy if you can get it up to 300 its worth it score 9/10 amazing

This is my current favorite fragrance. I enjoy everything about it. The pineapple is bright and juicy. I love how it is fresh and dark at the same time. This is my go to fragrance. I have made a huge dent in the bottle. Definitely will purchase this again and again. Edit: I did repurchase. This time a 75ml. I also got in on a split for super cheap and got a 50ml bottle. It is that good in my opinion. Scent: 9.9 Projections: 7.5 Sillage: 7.5 Value: 8 Overall: 9.5 (scent is the most important to me) Occasions: Gym, office/school, date, special occasion, whenever.

People saying smokey here is retarded. Its a Spicy fruity chypere. 2.5-3 Hours projection, 6 Hours on skin, 12-48 hours on Shirt 10/10 Scent, Don't go noseblind either like I do with Aventus or Aventus Cologne Worth the money because nothing else competes with this. The clones suck and dont compare. Buy off discounters. ALSO WORTH NOTING--------------- Aventus doesnt last like it use to because its become a FRUITY CHYPERE, no more smoke or earth. Smokey , earthy frags last 3x as long as fruitys do. The scent profile changed and thats why it doesnt last as long
