Aventus

There is a lot of talk about Creed Aventus and the infamous batch variations and reformulations (?). First of all, let me say that I am wearing Aventus since 2015 and have owned and used 4 different bottles over the past 5 years. I just finished my older bottle this week, a vintage 2013 batch (13W01), I have used a 2015 one (don't know because I didn't care for the batches back then), a 16E01 (2016), a 50ml bottle of 17R01 (my favourite) and have a 20E01N sitting as a backup for a year now. I love them all! Yes they do smell SLIGHTLY different. You can DEFINITELY notice it, altough in the air they basically smell the same, like Aventus of course! But, to me, that's one of the most interesting and magical things of Aventus. It has a life of it's own. You will find 3 different "sides" of Aventus: you have the SMOKY side; the BALANCED batches; and the FRUITY side. A SMOKY batch will have stronger notes of birch and musk, the woody an leather accords are more prounced in those batches and it will feel heavier, more dense, smokier .. that's what a smoky Aventus is. With that density usually comes a little more longevity. That more pronounced leather accord from those batches is where people get the similarities with Mancera's Cedrat Boise from (not all Aventus have that - it is subtle though ..). The BALANCED batches are great to my nose. Exactly what the name suggests, a more balanced composition where none it's different sides shout louder. From my experience the batches that are well balanced have the strongest projection and a really beautiful scent trail and sillage. The vanilla in the drydown is to die for. Really beautiful. A FRUITIER batch is usually not as base notes dense as the others and have a brighter, fresher and frutier opening. It was only when I got one of these batches that I could clearly smell the apple and the bergamot. For the people who love freshies this is the perfect type of Aventus batch for you. The opening is so uplifting! I feel that the fruitier batches project really well for the first hours but then sit closer to the skin. Even with those I always get at least 8h longevity with Aventus (YES, even the newer 2020 batch). With all being said, please bear in mind that the same batch can also smell and performe differently with diffent Seasons of the year, temperatures, humidity, and of course in different skins. This is how Aventus as ALWAYS been through the years. It is a masterpiece fragrance. All those batch variations are completely normal and to be expected with the natural raw materials that the house of Creed is known for using. It can be off putting, of course, sometimes you don't know what you get. But fortunately, you can easily buy samples to try and test them first. And as I said, IT'S ALL AVENTUS. Those are small nuances, noticeable (sure) but minor, an untrained nose won't pick it up most of the times. What I would like to clarify here is the following: Aventus is as good now as with the older bottles. Please don't get caught into this batch variation rabbit hole. The performance is still there, the smell is the same (with the same batch variations), the quality of the ingredients is the same, the pacaking changes but only minor things, sprayer is great, it's all Aventus as we know it. What DID change is the price that is sky rocketing nowadays and that is what is pissing people off. If it's worth it, is up to you! If you look careful online you can find stores that sell the 50ml for arround 150-60 euros and the 100ml for 200 euros (that is acceptable for me). It's Aventus, it's pricey. We know that. Concluding, I finished my 2013 bottle this week and had a new 2020 bottle that I used for a week everyday and then let rest in the box for a whole year! AFTER that MACERATION time, I sprayed the 2013 batch on one hand and the 2020 on the other. The 2013 leans to the smokier side, and the 2020 batch is frutier. Both smell great like Aventus! 2020 lasted 12h on my skin and the 2013 lasted an extra hour and a half (total of 13,5 hours). The 2020 one projected more strongly for the first 3 to 4 hours mark and then became closer to the skin. The 2013 one sat closer to the skin during the wearing. I was very pleased with that. After that I gave them a full day wear and realized I like the new 2020 batch more then my prized vintage bottle. With all the batches from the bottles I have owned (and also bought a LOT of samples/decants along the years to try) my Aventus experience was always very similar: 8,5 to 14h of longevity (usually 12h); strong projection for the first 3 hours and always THAT AVENTUS DNA through years of wearing it. Please keep in mind that Creed fragrances are often linked with cases olfactory fatigue, specially Aventus. I fell that happening. It's not an easy fragrance to test, so if you are testing it don't keep trying to smell it all of the time and ask for other people to smell it. YOU WILL BE SURPRISED. Also notice that YOU CAN'T really compare a vintage older bottle to a brand new fresh one. It didn't have the time to age. And even if you leave it still macerating, you still can't compare bottle because of different maceration time. To make things worse with older bottles they can start going bad (specially the top notes). For sure they WILL go bad, it's just a matter of time. If you're looking for a good LAUGH look in forums for old threads about Creed batch variations. The batches people PRAISE NOW were also being THRASHED BACK THEN. Really, go look for it. It's a mind trap. The previous one is always better .. the vintage one, the unobtainable one is always be the holy grail .. "my neighbour's wife is better than mine" .. Come on, we are better than that. IN SUMMARY AVENTUS IS STILL AVENTUS! The quality, smell and performance are still there. Maceration time is a real thing and will bring the performance up. Test if for yourself if you can. The only problem with the actual Aventus is the price (it's going up!) but you can still find it new in stores for 200 euros for a 100ml bottle. That's an acceptable deal IMO. PLEASE save your self some time and money and don't go chasing for "magical" vintage or older bottles, clones or whatever. You want Aventus? It's NOT discontinued. It's up for sale. Just grab one. It's the same Aventus we love. Fragrances are to be worn, experienced, felt. If you love and want Aventus, just get it. I'ts a beautiful fragrance.

The craziest thing literally just happened. I have the habit of blind picking samples from my sample orders. This evening I put on a full 2 ml sample, about 20 sprays (I’m not a sissy sprayer) before going on a date. Immediately I am mesmerized by the fruity smoky cloud that hits me, it’s pure luxury. My date comes to pick me up at about 5 o’clock, she has pretty average smell compared to me. Whatever, I’m used to it. She was probably wearing some cheap designer stuff. When we start walking towards the car, I notice something peculiar. My date is leaving a snail-like gooey trail. Weird, I think, but get distracted by our conversation. In hindsight it was a precursor for what was about to come. When we enter the restaurant we get greeted by the waiter, whose eyes spread wide open the moment he enters my vicinity. “Good evening sir” he says “You have an amazing aura, you smell somewhat like a billionaire CEO”. Flattered by his comment I follow him towards our table, where a new waiter comes to take our order. “I sense an ‘old money’ atmosphere at this table, would you like to try our most expensive wine, for free?” Slightly surprised I comply. When he leaves I hear an overwhelming, slowly increasing wave of whispers coming from the entire restaurant. I can pick out phrases like “amazing projection”, “sigma male energy“, “incredibly sexy”, “absolutely not an NPC” and “a real panty-dropper”. I can barely focus on my date. Finally our food arrives. After I take my first bite, the whole restaurant starts clapping. I decide to take off my jacket because all this attention is making me feel overheated. This releases a beastmode tsunami of olfactory genius. A guy offers me his wife. One of the waitresses runs towards me from across the restaurant like a World War Z zombie, takes of her panties and shoves them in my mouth. My date jumps on the table, and screams “POWER!”. She starts beating her chest like a gorilla while squirting uncontrollably, flushing me out of the restaurant. I try to run home but a horde of at least 50 women is floating behind me sniffing my scent trail like loony tunes characters. They start picking at my skin like vultures. A guy in an all white suit and long blonde hair appears out of nowhere, takes my hand and transports me back to my house. He shows me the sample; “Bless yourself with this holy water”, he says. I look at the label, it reads “Creed Aventus”. Needless to say I immediately sold my least favorite colour Bugatti to buy 500 gallons of this absolute NICHE quality compliment MONSTER.

PLEASE READ IF YOU ARE HERE CONSIDERING BUYING AVENTUS. Please do not fall into the negative aventus bait to push and promote the clones. I have purchased 3 bottles of aventus in the past 3 years directly from 100% legitimate sellers. The performance across those 3 years and 3 different bottles was consistently fantastic , 8-9 hours , incredible projection for the first 3 hours with such a beautiful scent profile the clones just genuinely don't get close to. I have watched as so many bot accounts come in and down vote aventus and a hive mind effect of club de nuit fanboys do the same along with fragrance influencers who are payed by armaf always downplay aventus performance and quote the batch inconsistency and reformulations. Whilst shilling anothe middle eastern clone flanker. These middle eastern clones are constantly reformulated themselves with massive inconsistency in performance and require you macerating for months to really actually get the most out of them. BEWARE THE SCAMMERS. Aventus has been my signature scent for over a decade now over the past 4-5 years the amount of fake creed bottles on the market is genuinely terrifying. One search on Amazon and God forbid facebook market place is 1000's of listings. I live in a small country side town less then 40k people and even in my region on these marketplaces is 100s of fake creed listings. This has had a massive effect on the reputation of this fragrance it is the single most faked and cloned fragrance of all time and so many people are being ripped off buying these fakes with shit juice inside. I have helped 3 people now return there aventus bottles to major retailers and get a refund as some fakes of creed made there way into their stock, Walmart being the biggest of these retailers. Please do not be swayed by disingenuous opinions from payed shills and bot reviews , please buy a sample from a credible 100% legit retailer not some dude online selling bullshit aventus decants and test the performance yourself. When you see through the lies and misinformation and get 8-9 hours of performance and a wonderful time with the scent , pull the trigger on a fucking 1000% legit retailer , not Amazon, not market place not some back alley reddit fragrance community , BUY LEGIT AND BE SAFE HOMIES.

HOLY. SHIT. and I stress the Holy. This is the first fragrance where I have literally been mesmerized. I had smelled GIT by Creed. Wasnt impressed for the price. Millesime Imperial, which I like a lot, but not for the price. After those two I just wrote off the Creed House as overpriced and not worth the products produced. However, I was strolling through Neiman Marcus and gave this one a try in attempts to crush the what I was certain to be hype. I was so taken aback I shouted "My God" out loud in the store. I have NEVER smelled anything quite like this. Never. So incredibly unique. Inspired by Napoleon? I believe it. It smells like power. I understand that is an obnoxious statement but congruent with my reaction and the perfume's inspiration. Up top: pineapple. and fresh cut, real, not synthetic pineapple. I detect a hint of black currant. Middle: starts to get smokey. I detect birch all the way. Birch and patchouli with a hint of rose. God it is so wonderful. Base: an oakmoss/leather base. It says leather is not a note but I think the oakmoss/musk/fading fruits make some type of leather accord. Divine. Literally. Longevity: I got 9 hours on my skin and it was projecting for 5-6. I walked out of Neiman Marcus with Aventus on my hand, to check it with my chemistry, to meet my gf in the hair salon. I walked into a wall of compliments. Every woman in the salon was in awe. Walk out of the salon, a male stranger passes, walks back to me and taps me on the shoulder to ask what cologne I was wearing. That has never happened in my life. I intend to purchase the 4.0oz after my next pay period as well as the shave balm. Before smelling Aventus I would have thought I was outside of my mind to purchase a $300 fragrance. But I believe it is because I know my search for my perfect/signature scent is over. I will always have a few staples in the collection; Fahrenheit, Encre Noire, Dior Homme Intense for romantic evenings. But I can never see myself liking anything more, or feeling anything suits who I am better than Aventus. And I must say, it is a beautiful thing. This is the best fragrance I have EVER smelled. Breathtakingly beautiful and seductively powerful.

Okay..I thought I was one and done when I first reviewed my then only bottle (A 2023 which is fantastic by the way), but curiosity got me. Ive since tried some of the most reputable dupes, inspired takes and have acquired a 2019, a 2016 bottle, and a 2017 decant of Aventus. There are differences between these four, well five if you count the 2022 sample that was my first sniff of Aventus in 2023. I enjoy them all. Yet the 2016 has a depth that is both substantial and diffusive. And while the "this only last 2 to 30mins or 2 to 4hrs" hasn't been my experience with any of them. I must say the longevity of the 2016 is outstanding. Elite level stuff. It's helped me see a little further into the fascination, frustration, the love and hate people have for Aventus. I dont remember if I said this in my first review, we all know people rave about the notorious pineapple note, but it was the clean feeling of the photo realistic green apple that grabbed my attention. A comparatively common note done remarkably well. Along with that lively evolution through each phase of the fragrance to that woody musky drydown (my favorite part). Easily distinguishable notes speaking a cohesive message was like smelling in 3D and this was from a batch (the 22) well after the butchery. Which is why I had to get my nose on some earlier batches. The composition taken in pieces or as a whole is just excellent imo. The quality of the materials only highlights the overall feel and helps convey the message of the fragrance that much clearer. I also dont find this as pervasive in the wild as fragcom and others suggests, particularly when expressing their burn out and boredom with it. In my world, Aventus is only 3yrs old so its new to me. And I came to love it without the sea of opinions. I knew nothing about the cyber communites, sites, or channels dedicated to fragrance then. Im thankful all of that came afterwards. As this acts as futher subjective proof that I love Aventus for myself and not because of who does and doesnt like it for this or that reason.. and all of that noise. It's an incredible fragrance. Period. I'm sorry, no clones compare to this masterpiece.

An Unbiased Take: The uncompromising quality standard and stability we aim to achieve when working exclusively with dense, 50ml Extrait de Parfum formulations in our own atelier is, unfortunately, where modern Aventus takes the biggest hit. The greatest handicap of this fragrance is that it is the most cloned scent in history. It has become incredibly common to encounter a (usually synthetic and exhausting) copy of this DNA on the street, in the elevator, or at the office. This has seriously damaged Aventus's former "unreachable, unique" prestige. Furthermore, the infamous "batch" variations widely known in the fragrance community and the drop in performance in current formulations can rightfully disappoint anyone paying this astronomical price tag. In summary: The scent profile, the smooth transition of notes, and that clean, smoky feeling it creates are still a masterpiece. If budget is not an issue and you believe "there is no substitute for the luxurious feel of the original," it remains a staple for any collection. I got a sample from Creed at first and never having smelled anything similar to the 'Aventus DNA' at the time, I was blown away. I soon after purchased a full 100ml bottle. I got it directly from Creed Boutique so it's one of the newer F batches with the metal cap. The way I'd describe my Aventus is wonderfully pineapple-y in the opening and the mid. In the air that pineapple stays a pretty dominant note for a couple hours to me, Then I start to get whiffs of that birch in the air, and if I smell my arm up close I detect a nice smokier hit of the birch and oakmoss, which is lovely. It's not too smoky like people have said about previous batches of Aventus, I'd say most people would say it's just the right amount. It projects very well for around 2 hours, then moderately well for the next 2 hours, then softly for another 3 hours and becomes a skin scent around 7-8 hours. I've been given compliments about 4.5 hours after application of 1 spray to the back of the neck and 1 spray on each inner elbow in 60-70 degree weather for reference. Aventus is very versatile as well. I've used it for work in an office, formal events, and going out, and to me it stands apart from the other 'very versatile' fragrances like Bleu de Chanel, Dior Sauvage and YSL Y because of its quality and has different notes than the standard designer top 3. Bleu has that lemony grapefruit, Sauvage has the spicy bergamot, Y has the gingery apple. But Aventus has a little nuance of all of those along with that shining pineapple and then drying down to the birch which is a little more unique than what other citrus woods fragrances go for (Cedar, Vetiver, Amberwood, Iso E Super, etc.) BUT THAT PRICE TAG IS STEEEEEEP! If you just cant bring yourself to justify the pricetag, get Montblanc explorer. It shares a good similarity with the opening and mid of Aventus but Explorer doesn't have any of that smoky birch, it goes more classic Vetiver, patchouli, etc.

I started wearing this in 2019. No one where I live has ever heard of it, and I've never smelled it on another person.... ever. The only things that come close when out or at work is Savauge. And when people smell it they want to know what it is and I just say some old bottle of something I found. Why would I tell them its Creed Aventus and it costs $525 at retail and maybe $300 at discount, just so they can go and buy a $50 clone that they think replicates Aventus? Thats what ruined it for others in the first place. My first bottle was batch 19S21. Very powerful pineapple from the first spray, and I never used more than 2 sprays... a day. Dries down to a complex smokey musky fruit scent that lasts days on my clothes. Fills a room when sprayed. Spring, Fall, Summer, Winter, Day, Night, work, meeting. It can be that versatile. To me its the modern sophisticated masculine scent. I know there was changes to the Formula and Creed as a company changed hands and Aventus was reformulated. But I recently bought a new bottle (F003948). Same exact scent and performance as my old bottle so they must've made some changes between 2020 and 2025 because I cant tell a difference between my old bottle that goes for $600-$800 on ebay now, and my new one. And what lead me to Aventus was after a couple of other niche fragrance purchases I made, it took me to Fragrantica and Basenotes and down a rabbit hole to the king of niche fragrances. Being tired of the same teenage designer smells that every Tom, Dick and Tyler was wearing, I bought Aventus Blindly just as I had two other niche frags. And that was it for me. Its my favorite and the fact that walk by other guys that want to know what it is, but dont dare to ask makes it still feel special to me. Its only online that I see its popularity and to be honest there's not that many considering its price, and its demographic.

i can only speak from testing it, i do not own this for three main reasons: one, it is incredibly expensive and it literally lasts 2 hours; two, it is from a house that brings a lot of controversy regarding their marketing practices, which i don't like one bit; and three, it is duped like crazy with better performance for a fraction of the price. so my experience is from testing this wherever i run into it. is it a smell to go absolutely crazy about? 1000%. it is masculine, opens fresh but dries down quickly into something complex that you would want to smell over and over. but as i mentioned, that feeling lasts 2hrs at best, and that is incredibly disappointing and infuriating to me for the price it demands. one anecdote i have is, we were travelling and we were late to the airport. almost missed our flight, only to be announced that the flight is delayed by 3 hours. no biggie, we went on a stroll and stopped to test fragrances. the first one i put on was aventus. then we went to the lounge to grab a bite and since we still had time, we went to other perfume areas. i did not want to test anything else because i loved how aventus felt, so much so that one testing lady at lv didn't understand why i was turning her samples down. when i said i splashed aventus a couple of hours earlier, she looked at me with a serious expression and said, "you probably washed it off since then, i literally smell nothing on you". final thoughts, if you have the coin to splash, just to brag you are indeed wearing the original, i understand completely the appeal. but in a crowd, whoever smells this scent will assume you are wearing "cdnim l.ed", which is literally 1/5th of the price. or even worse, won't smell anything due to the performance.

Review for Creed Aventus I've worn Aventus enough times to understand why it's become such a benchmark in modern men's perfumery. The opening is immediately recognizable, with a bright burst of pineapple and bergamot that feels energetic without becoming overly sweet. Within about thirty minutes, the fragrance settles into a smooth blend of woods with a subtle smoky character that gives it depth. What I appreciate most is its versatility. It feels polished enough for a business meeting but equally comfortable for a dinner out or a special occasion. It manages to be noticeable without constantly demanding attention, which is probably one of the reasons it has remained so popular over the years. Performance on my skin has been solid rather than extraordinary. I usually get around seven to eight hours before it becomes a close skin scent, with moderate projection during the first couple of hours. I've tried different batches over time and noticed small differences, but the overall character has remained consistent enough that I still recognize it instantly. The biggest criticism I hear is that it's become too popular, and I understand that viewpoint. Aventus inspired countless fragrances, so its DNA no longer feels as unique as it once did. Even so, wearing the original reminds me why it became influential in the first place. There's a refinement and balance that many inspired-by fragrances don't quite capture. If you're looking for something completely unconventional, Aventus probably isn't the answer anymore. But if you want a fragrance that's confident, versatile, and easy to enjoy in almost any setting, I think it still deserves its reputation.

BATCH: F001750, metal cap with clear Creed logo This might be most duped DNA ever and I can really understand why. Now, I've owned a few dupes or 'interpretations', like Club de Nuit LE, Afnan Supremacy CE etc, none have really hit that same spot. Closest being Armaf Precieux (which has great quality for the price). Depending on which dupe you have there are different types of differences, but generally speaking I would say this is smoother and develops much more nicely. When I say smoother, for me, It's the pineapple, oakmoss and vanilla that's really nicely blended along with all the other notes (the quality of ingredients probably also contribute). Thus, there's nothing that sticks out too much and there are no harsh notes whatsoever. As for the performance, it seems to have been improved in these F-batches with the metal caps that have come out the last few years. You can get very nose blind to this scent but it seems to have projected for roughly 2,5 hours and then closed in after that. Lastly, this is purely subjective and maybe a bit silly but wearing this just feels so much better. The whole experience from picking up that beautiful bottle to walking around knowing you're actually wearing Aventus is a big confidence boost for me. Again, might be very silly but to be fair, how a fragrance makes YOU feel is also important. So for all the people out there who like this DNA, give the new F-batches a try, if you don't feel its worth it go for whatever dupe you like the most then. Either way, you'll be wearing one of the best DNA's ever made.

Aventus is a fragrance I always hated for years before even smelling it simply because of how much ridiculous hype it gets. Little did I know...it was fully worth the hype it got. When I finally decided to test it out, I was approaching it with a “I know I’ll hate this” mentality. However, I have caught myself sniffing my arm, clothes, and sprayer more times than I’d ever like to admit. And eventually, I just couldn’t resist, and pulled the trigger. And I was not disappointed one bit. From something I tried so hard to despise, to something I proudly call “my favorite fragrance of all time”. It is cloned to death, but no matter how good a clone is, nothing smells like Creed Aventus. While yes there is the batch-syndrome that Creed is well known for, I have tried over 5 different batches. Some where fruitier, some where smokier, but it does not matter. They are all very much the one and only Aventus. My main bottle is the infamous 2019 batch which enthusiast like to bash on, yet it still smells exceptional, and I actually prefer this newer batch over some of the older ones because it’s more balanced. But again, all Aventus are Aventus. People in the fragrance community say that the scent profile is too popular, however, I think there’s a misunderstanding here; the scent profile is too popular IN the fragrance community, but outside of it, barley anyone knows what Aventus is or what it smells like. And everyone I asked to try it out had their minds blown. The one word that sums up everything about Aventus is: King. 11/10, Legendary.

What can be said for one of the most popular colognes of all time? Fruity, sweet- not cloying, smoky, masculine. Very playful and alluring while also being suited for professional occasions as well. It's well balanced, has solid performance, gets attention and compliments and generally has an 'it' factor to it that can't be denied even when comparing to other best-sellers. Very expensive, I'd consider it a investment-piece cologne, perfect for someone who wants to spend a lot of money on 1-3 excellent high end colognes rather than spend the same amount of money and get a dozen cheapies or dupes - both practices are valid. Generally you're paying for a certain standard of quality by going legit, but if you're the type of person who wants a big collection with a lot of different options, it's more economical to just invest in some high quality dupes than the real thing. There are many clone alternatives, Club de Nuit is almost the exact same in the dry-down to my nose but is pretty harsh up until that point, Montblanc Explorer is a lot smoother but is less fruity and has worse performance, I'd probably suggest comparing a handful of samples. In my opinion, none are better than the original, but none are bad either. Personally, I'd check out your local used market, aventus is so popular that you can find really good deals for reasonably priced bottles for around $100 - just confirm batch codes before exchanging any money and be safe/use common sense.

First things first: this is definitely overpriced, and there's no question about that. However, it really is a delightful fragrance. Hold on though—it's nothing wildly out of the ordinary. It’s a familiar DNA that you’ve likely smelled multiple times in your life. What sets it apart is how exceptionally well it's blended, leaning far more toward a natural feel than a harsh synthetic one. That natural composition is where the magic happens, unlike many of its clones that come off overly synthetic. It opens with a fresh, citrusy pineapple that feels bright and inviting. As it settles, a subtle floral sweetness lingers and merges with the smoky birch wood in the drydown, making you feel as though you're standing among trees. That’s why it’s so widely praised—even though synthetic molecules are used in the bottle, it never feels like you're wearing a chemical lab creation. It stays remarkably close to nature. As for the comparison with CDNIM (Club de Nuit Intense Man)? Please don't. Aventus is overpriced—and even I won't be buying it again—but comparing it directly to CDNIM does it a real injustice. CDNIM feels like a chemical lab experiment, completely missing the smooth, natural vibe that Aventus achieves. Great scent overall, but the price tag is simply too steep to justify a repeat purchase

This very quickly became my signature scent when I bought it. Most of the compliments I get with this cologne is that it smells very natural or "smells how I would imagine you would smell like". As for batch variation I have a newer one labelled F003135 and I found the performance to be insane. 3-4 sprays lasts me 10-12 hours with insane projection in the 6 hours then becomes a bit closer to the skin still getting compliments for me while i stand, sit or just walk by a co-worker. 1-2 hours of fruity pineapple which transitions into what I mostly smell is black current and moss then the late stage the birch really kicks in. Even though I don't think that patchouli is that prominent in this fragrance I've gotten a lot of people telling me they pick up on a heavy dose of it later in the day, just my experience with it. Longevity- 10/10 (might've gotten lucky with the batch or people overexaggerate the bad performance) Projection- 10/10 (Room filler for a few hours then arms length projection maybe more if i spray on clothes all day long) Scent itself IMO- 10/10 (signature scent that I can wear to anywhere from date to gym to work etc)

Aventus is fantastic and it's earned it's flowers for being such a mass-appealing, high quality everyday men's fragrance. The opening is fresh, bright, slightly spicy, and fruity with an incredible pineapple note. It dries down to be woody, mossy, and musky. You can pretty much wear this anywhere since this profile is so versatile, and it's over spray friendly. On my skin, my new F batch lasts around 7 hours and projects slightly greater than an arms length for the first couple of hours with 8 sprays on body. It dials back to an incredible bubble that's fresh, uplifting, and masculine. There are dupes and many fragrances from other houses that have been inspired by Aventus, but nothing really comes close. I will say my favorite inspired by is probably Nishane Hacivat because it's earthier and mossier making it a better choice for the office, plus it does last longer. Overall, Aventus is a staple in my collection, and I will never be without a bottle. I have Absolu and Cologne as well, but my personal favorite and most worn is still the OG. 9.1/10

Life is funny, 7 years ago this was the first niche fragrance I tried without even knowing what that meant. I thought it smelled pretty good but never knew how good compared to other stuff I hadn’t tried. Fast forward 7 years later I’ve finally tried it for the second time and this is amazing. Every YouTuber claiming club de Nuit is a “better buy”, “better than Aventus” or “does aventus better than itself” is a flat out liar. The blend quality on this can never compare to club de Nuit and I’ve tried and gifted several of them. Smelled my sample and immediately bought a bottle. Aventus Cologne is one of my favorite scents ever but now trying the OG again 7 years later, this is definitely tied with it. I get people have different budgets which is why club de Nuit is popular but to say it’s identical to this masterpiece is crazy. In all to me this is a phenomenal scent and I’ll be wearing it heavy for the rest of the year in my rotation

I love this smell so much. I've been into fragrances since I was a teenager, and build quite a nose. Before Aventus got hyped after its inception 2010, there was another hyped perfume - A*Men by Mugler. I smelled it and HATED A*men, so while reading about Aventus and seeing all the awards that it got, I thought it would be another hype by people without any taste. But oh no, Aventus was a dream. A total dream. Sophisticated, elegant, fruity, smokey. I love the pineapple. It has been my "date" fragrance since 2014, and I love it today as much as I did back then. Unfortunately my 2014-bottle ran out last year, so I now am on my second bottle bought in 2024. Yes, its more common today than it was back then. I smell it occasionally, even in the gym. Its not as unique as it was back then, but its still special. And while dupes come and go, Aventus is still the king, and it remains the undisputed GOAT fragrance.

But then I do something interesting. I read reviews on Bleu de Chanel, Terre d’Hermes, and Sauvage, and Armani, and Gucci, and Versace, and another, and another, and another. And guess what.. they read the same - “so overused”, “everyone smells like this”, “not unique”, “ubiquitous”, “common DNA profile” and on, and on, and on. Now I’m thinking, oh boy, who’s right? Because they can’t all be right...right? Do the math. Just wear what you like, even if another one or two thousand of the billions of other Homo Sapiens on the planet might smell like you too.

Owned for over a year, worn everywhere — office, date nights, the race track. Works in every situation, which is why it's earned its reputation. Current batches don't project like the old ones. I used to care about that. Now I prefer a fragrance that rewards the person who leans in. Aventus in 2026 is quiet confidence — 6-8 hours on skin, moderate projection, then intimate and skin-close. I have nothing to add that hasn't been said before. everyone knows this scent that is in the fragrance world, it's a legend for a reason, albeit done to death by now thanks to the clone world. it's my most complimented fragrance. its masculine, fruity, fresh, woody, smoky and a crowd pleaser. I have a decant from scent split and its blended beautifully and the projection and strength is good. I have no idea what batch it's from, but whatever one it is, it's good. I have a clone from ALT and a bottle of CDN IM LE and they get close (ALT more so) but they don't hit that mark to the sadness of my bank account. I really wanted the clones to do it for me, but I need an Aventus bottle for my collection.

Masterpiece. Everything about it from the perfect balance of peppery, smokey pineapple wrapped in a dense, masculine, earthy, mossy, woody base down to details like the bottle, the name. It's all perfection. It's the quintessential modern masculine fragrance. Then there's the price. It's very expensive for a fragrance, so for most men, Montblanc Explorer is the better buy. It's significantly less expensive -- I grabbed a 200ml bottle for around $60USD from a discounter -- and strongly competitive in profile, quality, and longevity. Aventus is one of the best fragrances a man can wear, but the price is hard to justify, especially for everyday use when much more frugal options are available.

That's the fragrance you can't really hate,i tried but failed miserably. You can buy dupes yes there are a lot of choices,but they will be not that premium or should i say good like the OG,ofc they will smell almost like the og, i honestly wanted to buy CDNIM but after buying the 30ml Aventus , and used it for a good 3 month constantly I can't smell any similarities, for me CDNIM is TOOO woody it was Bitter and almost like a burnt rubber and i sprayed like a good 17 times on my body. I WANTED TO PEEL MY SKIN OFF. So yeah i just got my 100ml Aventus and i quess i will pay 330 euro or dollar every 1 to 1.5 year because i love the smell,i love the house,i love the design and i live only once.

This is the fragrance that has impressed me the most. Despite testing many clones, none of them come close to the original. It receives a lot of compliments, and even though I regularly test niche, designer, and mainstream fragrances, this is still the one that gets the most praise from people around me. The F batch that I own easily lasts around 12 hours on my skin, and I’ve received compliments even several hours after application. The only downside is the price, which is absolutely crazy, along with the brand’s policy of reducing bottle sizes while increasing prices. That said, it’s definitely worth looking for a better deal in fragrance groups or from private sellers.

A good batch of Aventus is heavenly, unfortunately, the inconsistency between batches really makes this a very frustrating fragrance. I had a decant with fantastic performance, great projection, an amazing airy quality and juicy, fruity opening. The batch I currently have in my hands lasts about an hour before it dies off significantly. It also is just not as musky and fresh, too heavy on citrus to the point of being sour and has a barely detectable pineapple. Do I still enjoy it? Yes absolutely but it's just nowhere near as good as that one decant I had and unfortunately I'll never know what batch that was.

The Creed Aventus. What can be said about it that already was't. Yes, it is great. Yes, there are many clones of it. I thought I don't need it in my collection. Yet, here we are. The fruity pineapple opening with clean smokiness is iconic. I was suprised by how the mossy base is reminiscent of Bleeker Street. This fragrance does it all at any occasion. I expected it to be derivative... it is not. If you just want the feel for fraction of the money, go with Explorer. If you don't mind Mancera base and want a creamier and smokier twist, try (Intense) Cedrat Boise. But if you want the real deal...

I do love Creed perfumes, Aventus is the timeless classic that drove me into the Niche area of perfumery. The clones cannot touch the original. I have tested the reformulated version and its not as smoky but very close, but gives you the classic Pineapple, Peppery, Smokey Vibe. This one I wear whenever I like, it works in all occasions. I think the reformulation maybe to push Aventus Absolut as its more darker but a real Masterpiece. Over the years I have tried all the Creeds and the only true Masterpieces are Green Irish Tweed, Aventus and Absolut. Unlike the other creeds these last for hours.

This fragrance remindes me of a certain bath bomb from lush called lakes. It is one of my favourite bath bomb scents so this is very relaxing to me. It’s very green herbal and slightly sweet. I love it. Even though it is ment to be a male fragrance, it leans slightly unisex to me, the only masculine thing I get in it that would stop me personally from wearing it is it does have a slight undertone of a men’s cologne in the background were you can tell it is for a man, but otherwise that beautiful herbal and fruity scent is very unisex, calming and delicious. It is a very etherial scent to me.

I got a small tester with this with my last purchase of Antaeus and I gotta say, this is such a masterwork, I'm talking the same level of Antaeus, Terre de Hermes, or better. This is pissy fruit citric tartness with clean wood and musk combined with a dirty smoke aspect reminiscent of spoiled smoked old cheese. This screams macho uncultured poor person from the streets that's been cultured into nobility through sheer effort and will. Such a thing shouldn't work, but it does, and it's sensational. Can't say much about the performance, as I don't own a bottle of this yet.

I have two bottles: one is F003215 and the other is F004179. Although the scents are quite similar overall, there are some noticeable differences between them. The 3215 feels more citrusy and smoky, while the 4179 smells more pineapple-forward to me. I’m currently using the 4179. Honestly, both the longevity and projection are very good. It projects strongly for around 8 hours, and even after the projection decreases, the scent still remains. I can still smell it on clothes days later. Overall, the F batches are really successful performance-wise.

Review #2 The very first time I picked up the scent trail of this I was completely mesmerized. It has this masculine, intoxicating fruity aura that wraps around you and it's very mass appealing. The pineapple is blended very smooth and is bright enough where I'd consider it a summer fragrance, and although popular, still signature worthy. I will say I own both Aventus and Absolu and the richness of Absolu conquers this without a debate. Scent: 8.7/10 Longevity: 6/10 Sillage: 6/10 Price worthy: Eh, Get absolu

The bold, vanta-black stallion, pure hatred and angered in its damaged eyes. It is the most powerful, dangerous, yet beautiful creature you've ever gazed at. This is what this perfume states, its the best in every class, its of the highest quality, its of the most juicy, spice heavy, mouthwatering fragrance that you cant stop indulging in. With each spray you feel the regret of utilizing this small fraction of your ethereal elixir, but it sure is worth it when you now have the aroma of an absolute demigod.

When it comes down to it this fragrance is top, and I realized that a lot of people have started to criticize the longevity of it including me. But then I realized this is one if the most copied fragrance out there, are we just getting noseblind to it? The dupes just smell way synthetic (to my nose) to be even compared to this. I still think this is one of the top fragrances out there and you should definitely give it a go. Oh and buy it from a discounter the price is way too much for a retail bottle.

The regression in quality of Aventus is one the greatest tragedies of this century. I first owned Aventus in 2013, three sprays were more than enough to create a 5 foot bubble around you projecting an unapologetically dominant and masculine heavenly smell for 12 hours minimum. You wake up the next day smelling the mesmerizing base notes emanating from your skin. The Aventus of today is 10% of what it was if I’m being extremely generous. Creed and anyone responsible for this decline can go to hell.

I was shopping with my spouse at Aldi when a very "bubbly" man stopped by us as knew what I was wearing by name. I was of course flattered and slightly embarrassed by the general awkwardness of such an encounter but that just shows you how popular this fragrance is. Hype aside this is a really great frag that i honestly believe you can wear anytime of the year unless you have some bitter cold months. Overall great citrus/pineapple with some classic barbershop staples to back it up in the base.

The scent that got me into this whole hobby. It started with a car air freshener based on it, of all things... I loved that smell so much I went and did the research. Real Aventus was too expensive at the time, so I picked up flankers and clones first. I've got a lot of them now, and none of them touch it. Masculine, interesting, and it makes me feel powerful, luxurious, suave, wealthy... just superior blending and nuance that the clones never quite get right. Personal subjective score: 10/10

I don't know anything about the different batch codes but I bought a 2022 bottle in 2022 and it smelled amazing, only wish was that it lasted longer but it wasn't a short scent or a skin scent. My bottle had a nice citrus woody opening with a slight pineapple smell and would dry down to a nice masculine strong mossy oak smell. I also noticed that this fragrance smells better when you let it macerate. If you think you got a bad batch or the latest batch is disappointing, let it macerate.

I finally understand why this fragrance gets talked about the way it does. It’s clean fresh and masculine without smelling like every other blue fragrance on the market and somehow manages to smell expensive without trying too hard. This is one of those fragrances that doesn’t need to have a crazy personality because the person wearing it is the personality. After owning this I started questioning a lot of the other fresh fragrances in my collection because this does that job so well.

With so many dupes, I didn't think I'd rebuy Aventus, but I did. Recently got a tester and glad I did. Many hate on it but it's so good at being versatile and smells amazing, regardless of batch. It's still too expensive but also worth it. I see more stores have displays where you can try it, so do that if possible. Smells masculine, mature and like money, which is just fine with us older guys. There's a very good reason Aventus is still sold and talked about.

GOAT !!! Creed Aventus is a fragrance I’ve been repurchasing every time I finish a bottle since the day I first tried it, and I confidently recommend it to people around me. I especially love its pineapple character — fresh yet very charismatic — and for me, it’s one of the best fragrances ever made. It works perfectly for both daily wear and special occasions. A timeless signature scent that will always have a place in my collection.

9.5/10 Sensational. One of the greatest men’s fragrances of all time, so easy to love. Smoky, but not overpowering, Fruity, but not too sweet, everything Creed Aventus does is perfectly consistent and it’s given itself the legacy and hype it deserves. You can say it may be overpriced, or it should last longer, and I may even agree with you but there’s no doubt in my mind that there’s few fragrances out there as good as Creed Aventus.

Had a 2ml decant of this, used it for work during the spring time and it really is very refreshing. Very bright citrus opening and dries down into a mature, smooth and slightly smoky scent. Longevity is roughly 6 hours on my skin and 12hrs+ on my clothes, can still faintly smell it on my clothing the following morning, with sillage being moderate in the first 3 hours I would say. Looking to pick up a FSB when I can.

Opens with a tangy pineapple-and-bergamot-dominant fruity aroma, mild sourness, a bit salty, woody—with a faint pencil shavings scent, and that deep mineral freshness from the ambroxan. The drydown is the highlight for me; it gets musky, smoky, woodier, and just smells really comforting. Reminds me of grilled pineapples. For the price though, I wish the performance were a bit better. ✅Excellent

I got batch F003701. My first impressions are positive, i really like it a lot, but a little more intensity would be welcome in my opinion. As for longevity and overall performance, I can’t really say much, as I seem to become nose-blind within 15 minutes (at least I think so), and there was no one to confirm it for me. This one easily goes into my all-time favorites, a wonderful scent.

after a long time i finally own it, i tested it for 4 days straight, i get were the hype comes from but im not into, it's very beatiful fruity smoky scent really versatile for almost every occasion but i think this perfume got so much hype becouse of the glazers, it's not a 10/10 definitely, the longevity is ok the sillage same, the scent itself its beatiful 8/10 there's better choices

Smells incredible. Changed the game when it came out. Lots of clones now but nothing competes. Sweet with fruity top notes and a smokey base. Extremely distinctive smell and extremely classy. Slightly leaning spring and summer, daytime scent, but universal enough to be a signature scent. Overpriced at full retail, but when you wait for a sale at Costco it's a good value.

It would be a perfect 10/10 if they didn't have batch variations. My batch from 2023 has great longevity (8-10+ hours on skin, days on clothes) but the top note is a bit sour until it fades, then it turns into greatness. I've heard new batches are weaker and with the batch variations, you're better off just getting a clone unless you can get a decant of an old batch.

One of the greatest men's fragrances of all time. Perfect blend of fresh fruit (pineapple that comes off clean, not tropical), woods, and fresh spices. It has excellent versatility; anytime, anywhere masculine fresh, clean sweet fruit, oakmoss, and cedar accord. I wish it was a bit stronger in performance, especially for the price, but the scent itself can't be beat.
