Citrus Bigarrade

It's true, the opening really is the most beautiful citrus opening. Very sweet, tart and a little spicy its so real. the Neroli middle is just a good with a gallant ambergris base. Has a very earthy feel to it and from a distance you can smell the unique marriage the ingredients create. PM me if your interested in getting your hands on a sample I have a few on hand.

Creed Citrus Bigarrade is a nice semi-fresh, semi-bitter, musky/woody offering that I’d certainly classify among the more accessible discontinued freshies from that era. I’d describe it as not quite as sharp as Bois de Cedrat, not quite as green as Selection Verte, and not quite as orangey as Orange Spice. It’s more of a semi-bitter lemon freshie with some woody undertones. The note listing by some sources is deceptively simple: bergamot, citrus notes, neroli flower, and ambergris. Its performance is sadly lacking, as even with a fairly robust application from a decant sprayer, the scent is barely present after a couple of hours, so I wouldn’t advocate tracking down a bottle at an exorbitant cost, though I’m glad I’ve a decant to enjoy on occasion. 7 out of 10

I'm finally reviewing this after several retestings. As remarked elsewhere, I meant to replace it with Neroli Sauvage because it was weak (how ironic!) but I soon learned the error of my ways. It's basically just a run-of-the-mill EdC, pretty intermediate on the scale of sharp vs. flowery citrus. The very top notes are a good rendition of the rind of a freshly-squeezed lemon slice. It gets weak fairly soon (though not unusually so for this genre) but manages to stay natural and unambiguously masculine. Even in the end, when it's gotten very weak, it still maintains more of the original zing than you typically find with these. It's perfectly decent stuff, but there's no need to pay Creed prices for a standard Eau de Cologne.

Beautiful opening of tart citrus, like gin and lemonade, but then the drydown becomes a citrus whisper on a light amber base. It ends too soon and very close to the skin on me.

Oh my goodness is this a pretty citrus neroli mix with a stunning amber dry down! The opening is sweet, sexy and fresh with a zesty bite. (a love bite ;) Citrus with neroli in equally wonderful proportions..Sweet but not cloying, crisp but not too cologne-esque. It's elegant and smooth despite that it's a fruit based scent. The amber is a shadow note, it is always slightly noticeable and gains strength in the dry down where it warms and softens. It's a wonderful mood lifter and perfect for warm days or relax days. It's such a pretty darling and should be sniffed by all citrus/neroli fans...I am in love...and I want to sleep on a bed of citrus neroli amber this summer! Silage is: yes, the garden of Eden had not just apples! - longevity is: on me a deliciously juicy 5+ hours in which it becomes an amber syrup neroli balm. *YUM* *FunFact* This darling was a favourite with both Edward & Wallis, the infamous couple who's love affair caused the abdication of Edward VIII in 1936 as King of England. A kingdom for a woman - a His & Hers Creed for both. I recommend.
