Delphinus

This is one of my favourites from Creed, hands down. If ever there was such a thing as a fresh, daily driver gourmand with pretty much universal appeal across age, gender, sexuality, Creed, ethnicity, climate and occasion, this is it. The opening is like a huge Battenburg slice to the mush; a big sweet, incandescent hit of marzipan and some gourmand fruits. The vanilla and tonka beans are right there in the vanguard. But don't be put off. It isn't too sweet (although first time users may worry it is going to go that way at first), it isn't cloying (ditto). Stick with it. I think star of the show here is the orris and the way it works with the almond accord and the pepper in here. They meld into each other in a really attractive way, stopping this from going too gourmand or too sickly sweet. I get lovely little spicy frissons from this and as mentioned, the pink pepper is a really lovely touch. The black pepper is more subtle but it is there and there is almost a turmeric-style spice carpet underneath this. There isn't any turmeric in it but it has the feel of it in a way as the sweetness dies off after ten minutes or so into the drydown and the floral notes really get to grips with the peppery spices and the woody bottom layer really reveals itself in earnest. For the layerheads amongst us, I've tried it over the top of The Noir 29 from Le Labo and it wasn't great to begin with but ten minutes later was lovely: it goes floral and more spicy, knocking the sweetness down a few notches. It is one of the better layering combos I've tried, I think. Just go very easy on the The Noir, you only need one very small spritz. Delphinus on its own though is not a linear drydown by any means, as it gets drier and richer as the sweeter notes dry down. I love that the peppers stay in the whole time. I don't really get much leather in this and the woody note is more like a sandalwood accord, but it is the creaminess of the other notes that makes it feel that way. Of the florals I get heliotrope the most, there I think just to make the orris even more powdery than it would be: It does this beautifully. The akigalawood is all spice here, no smoke or bitterness. As it continues to dry down the pepper notes and the fruit and floral accords take on a slightly rubbery taste and texture but it is much nicer and less jarring than that sounds, conceptually. It settles into the skin after around six hours on my pasty English dermis, but the enduring accords when it does are almond, orris and pink pepper. It is really lovely. Also lovely is the very nice orange glass bottle with the embossed Creed branding and shiny gold cap. Gorgeous and very eye-catching. Delphinus can be summed up as a really attractive powdery gourmand that is much more appealing than most powdery gourmands, and has a much greater unisex appeal to boot. It is bright and carefree enough to wear for any occasion and would be a superb choice as an office fragrance, but the really sexy way it sits close to the skin after a few hours makes it a great choice for date night too. Sillage is incredible: it emanates off me in gorgeous wafts and the The Noir 29 layering ramps this up to a level I've rarely experienced. I think people in Sharjah can smell me! Creed's stablemate in this release was the much-hyped Centaurus which has been all over social media for months and has been a staple from the FragCom influencers worldwide. I cannot for the life of me understand why almost nobody has looked in earnest at its sweeter and less spicy sister. I like them both but Centaurus is less exciting to me as it is a sweet and spicy effort which is a path most of us are far more familiar with as it almost starts creeping into Viktor & Rolf realms. I suspect many of the FragCom influencers just dismiss Delphinus as a more feminine version of Centaurus and so leave it alone, and Creed is a much less covered brand by the female FragCom influencers in general, and that is why Delphinus gets so much less love and coverage than its sibling. This is a pity. I really like Creed, but I think, as many of us do, that there isn't enough really hardcore atomic performance or refined originality across the range. Delphinus delivers in spades on both counts for me. It is a serious performer and an absolute compliment monster to boot, in a way that honestly, I've only sporadically found to be the case on many others from this house. I do think though that with the release of Centaurus and Delphinus in 2024, plus Oud Zarian last year, that they are quietly going about changing that (perhaps unfair) preconception of high cost, but limited performance on lovely, lovely fragrances that do not really stand out in a crowd. Delphinus absolutely does stand out in a crowd in all the nice ways and has formidable performance to boot. Take a bow, Creed - this is wonderful stuff and I love it so much. Yesterday I reviewed Centaurus by Creed. While it was a fine fragrance, it wasn't for me. Today I'm looking at its sibling, Delphinus. My knowledge of Delphinus is comparable to that of my knowledge with Centaurus when I initially reviewed it; zero. So I have no idea what I'm walking into, but I hope I enjoy it more than I did Centaurus. Let's get into it; Scent: The opening is sweet, powdery, and nutty. The primary notes I get are orris, bourbon vanilla, almond, and incense. The strongest of the notes are the orris and bourbon vanilla. The orris hit my nose right from the first spray with a hefty dose of powder. At first I thought it was an iris note, as it does have a bit of that "makeup-y" vibe to it that iris is known for. It is, however, much smoother than standard iris notes and has some earthy qualities as well. Sharing the spotlight with the orris is the bourbon vanilla note. Like most bourbon vanilla's, this one is strong, sweet, and creamy with boozy undertones. It blends together with the orris very nicely to create a soft, powdery sweetness. Up next is the almond and incense. The almond adds to the sweetness brought by the bourbon vanilla, but adds a touch of bitterness along with its noticeably nutty tone. As a pleasant surprise, it also has an undeniable cherry accord to it that draws comparisons to Guerlain's L'Homme Ideal Eau De Parfum. While this is not unheard of with almond notes, it's not very common either. Lastly, the incense wafts in and out of the background as a gentle, smoky accord; not too strong and not too soft. The dry down is still sweet, powdery, and nutty. The primary notes I get are orris, almond, bourbon vanilla, and tonka bean. The strongest of the notes are still the bourbon vanilla and orris. Both notes are largely the same as they were in the opening, with the most notable difference being that they are both a bit more pronounced. The powdery qualities of the orris come out a bit more, and the sweetness of the bourbon vanilla is a bit heavier. This is followed by the almond and tonka bean. The almond still has its nutty, bittersweet accord with the same cherry tones, albeit toned down just a bit. Lastly, the tonka bean adds its signature powdery sweet note in the background. Performance: Initial projection within the first hour is very strong and can easily fill a room. Sillage matches that intensity with a heavy scent trail. After a few hours the performance was largely unchanged; maybe just a bit softer but not by much. When I checked again nearly 9 hours later the projection was still about 3-4 feet and the scent trail was still noticeable. The fragrance became a skin scent a little after the 12 hour mark. When to wear: Delphinus, like its sibling Centaurus, is a fall/winter fragrance best worn during the evening. It is also a formal/special occasion fragrance that would fit well with dates, anniversaries, weddings, or anything you would wear a suit to. In fact, this probably compliments suits better than Centaurus. Still, this isn't something I'd wear to the office. Blind buy: When I was wearing this fragrance, I was heavily reminded of L'Homme Ideal Eau De Parfum. So if you enjoy fragrances in that style, or you just enjoy sweet and powdery fragrances in general, this is a safe blind buy for you. Final verdict: I'm glad I reviewed Delphinus after Centaurus, because Delphinus absolutely ended up being the better of the two fragrances. It's sweet, powdery, and nutty with undertones of cherry; I love everything about it. I'm also glad that it didn't lose that cherry undertone in the dry down either. When it comes to performance, it outperformed Centaurus; massive projection and scent trails for at least the first few hours, and continuing on past the 12 hour mark where it finally became a skin scent. Like Centaurus, versatility is not the name of the game with this fragrance. It's crafted to be a cold night special/formal occasion fragrance, and it does that exceedingly well, but that's as far as it goes. Although I will say that Delphinus assuredly has more mass-appeal than Centaurus. It doesn't have any weird or off-putting notes, and the main notes it does focus on are notes that a lot of people enjoy. In conclusion, I think Delphinus was an amazing fragrance, and I will definitely be getting a bottle when I can. Mind you, I won't be paying the $545 retail price because that's literally insane, but I'll pay a discounter rate for it. I'd recommend anyone to at least sample Delphinus; it really is special. This is my Creed Delphinus story. I travel a lot for work, and some of that work involves air travel. That involves Duty Free, and with Amouage now available in certain UK airports, things can get pricey! I had a vacation trip at the end of October going into November. I recently decided to try and get a new Tom ford in the Airport Duty Free after a very good bargain on Ebene Fume on a previous trip. The wanted Tom Ford was not in stock in the Airport Duty Free. I was a bit bewildered and wandered the YSL and DIOR stands. Then, to my surprise, I saw that the Creed company had a brand new stand that had not been in the Airport when I last travelled. I have a small number of Creed's in my collection, and I know how good a fragrance house they are, but I was not looking to buy a new Creed. Yet...I wandered over out of curiosity. In the Duty Free, they had Delphinus in stock and it was priced at 280 EUR. This was actually cheaper than the Tom Ford I had originally intended to buy. The last "new" Creed that I smelled was actually Delphinus itself...in 2023, believe it or not. This was in the Ceaser's Palace shops in Las Vegas. At that time it was priced at $400, and the dollar was almost parity then. It did NOT seem like good value and did NOT seem like a good price. I smelled Delphinus again in the Duty Free this time and something had changed in my brain. I really liked it! At that price, I bought it on the spot, which I think took the sales assistant aback. I was very happy with the purchase and the felt scent was perfect for days in the desert. Close, personal, not too overpowering. I wore it for all of the holiday and nobody seemed to notice or care what I smelt of. No biggie - I am not in it for the compliments, and as long as I know I smell clean and fresh I am happy. However, come to the last day of the trip some strange things happened. I was up early and ready to check out, showered, shaved, and wearing heavy clothing for departing Las Vegas, as I knew we'd be hitting lower temperatures on landing home. I sprayed Delphinus on my neck (both sides), behind my ears, and on the collar of my Zipper Top. Went to go downstairs and check out of the hotel, settle any last minute extras, and catch a brunch. As I was leaving the room, the housekeeping ladies were already at work on my floor. I had only been wearing the Creed about an hour, but I was complimented by the Hotel Chambermaid on how good I smelled. Totally caught me by surprise, in a nice way. It's the first compliment on a scent I have had in quite some time. I had my Brunch, and with a couple of hours before my ride to the Airport I decided to walk the Strip one more time and kill a few hours. I needed a new Nail Clippers, so I went into the Walgreens, the smaller one close to the Hard Rock Cafe. I couldn't find the aisle so I asked the help of Sheila, the sales associate. She said to me I was in the wrong area and walked by me to point me to the correct area. Suddenly she exclaimed "Oh My Lord, you smell divine! What IS that scent?". This was about 3 hours after I had applied the Creed. I was really, really taken aback and - not going to lie - secretly delighted. I sometimes - rarely - get compliments on scents I wear, and never usually from strangers. And now 2 in one day? Consider me impressed. So, I get on my 10 hour flight home, and spend another hour collecting my luggage and shooting the shit with the guys. I get to my Mother's house and I know my middle Brother will be visiting. I have presents for them all. I give my brother his present and a hug. He seems to have been blessed with a great sense of smell and he noticed my scent. Complimented by my brother after a 10 hour flight and several hours before that, was the most surprising of all! He is VERY reserved and not like that most of the time. I don't think I need to say any more than this. Creed Delphinus is a 10/10 scent.

Delphinus was more or less what I expected at first, but the way it came together completely impressed me. I thought it would be in the same general space as Parfums de Marly Pegasus or Guerlain L’Homme Ideal EDP, and while the almond and vanilla profile is definitely there, this takes that idea and turns it into something softer, more refined, and way more elegant. The opening is a creamy mix of almond and orris, with a slightly waxy texture that gives it that familiar makeup-compact vibe, but it still feels fresh and modern. There’s a cherry-like sweetness in the background, most likely from the benzaldehyde, that adds depth without leaning into sugary territory. As it develops, the vanilla and tonka become richer and more velvety. Underneath it all, you get subtle traces of leather and incense. They're not unexpected in a scent like this, but they’re essential. Without that depth, it would risk smelling like nothing more than a sweet, airy cloud. This leans slightly feminine, mostly because of the powdery and floral tone, but it never feels overly delicate. It’s graceful and polished in a way that can work on anyone with the right taste. If you like smoother, almond-forward fragrances with a bit of sweetness, this is easily wearable. Performance is pretty solid. It projects moderately for about two hours, and then sits closer to the skin, but I still catch wafts well into the 8-9 hour mark. Delphinus is easily my favorite from Creed, partly because almond is one of my favorite notes, but also because it brings so much more to the table than just that. It’s not trying to be a statement-maker or a compliment magnet — it’s just beautifully made, well-balanced, and elegant. If you’re into almond, vanilla, or powdery florals, this one’s absolutely worth trying. Pricey, yeah, but in this case, the quality backs it up. To me it’s worth it, and if you find it discounted, it’s a no-brainer. Scent (on skin): 9/10 Scent (sillage): 10/10 Projection: 6.5/10 Longevity: 7/10 Value: 3/10 Originality: 7/10 Mass appeal: 7.5/10 Versatility: 7.5/10

This is the perfect example of how important it is to test perfumes on skin. The first time I tested it on a paper strip I honestly immediately disliked it. Then in the next days I smelled it in the air from my friend who bought it and was wearing it, and I was shocked, it smelled like a totally different fragrance. After about 3 months I decided I NEEDED to have it in my collection and now I cannot live without it. I don't know what it is, but it gets me hooked and intoxicated, it does something to me that it's hard to explain. I decided to go for the 100ml, 340 euros (the concept of discounter for Creed doesn't really exist in my area), because first of all I love the scent, and second, it was released just a few months ago, which means we are still in the very first batches. As we all know for niche houses, especially Creed, the more time and batches go by and the worse their perfumes perform, so this is basically the best and strongest version of Delphinus I will ever be able to own. And coming to performance, again everything is subjective and depends on skin chemistry mostly, but my personal experience is that it has a monstruous longevity. I spray it at 6.45AM, I go through a full workday indoors/outdoors, shower, and reach dinner time that I can still CLEARLY smell it with light movements of my head, meaning that it still has a nice sillage. By the time I go to bed, around 10.30PM, I can still smell it on myself in a lighter way. That's insane longevity. Projection is heavy in the first 2 hours. Sillage, as I mentioned, definitely easy to detect for 12 hours+. If you are into sweet/slightly spiced/ambery/iris fragrances, definitely check this one out, but also be sure your test it on your skin and you experience the whole dry down before you come to a conclusion. In my case, I would recommend this fragrance 100%, I am obsessed with it.

#1746 in my “Tour de Fragrance” Got this sprayette from Lucky Scent. Probably because of the price points I’ve found Creed scents over-rated and underwhelming. If you’re looking at paying over $300 for a scent you expect something amazing, but Creed scents are so widely copied, with some of the low priced dupes being quite good copies, you should be skeptical of any being a good value proposition. And the reality is that of the twelve I’ve tried I’ve “disliked" four, found six “okay”, ”liked” two and “loved” none until now. And I haven’t thought any of them were worth a third the asking price. But I will say of the twelve I’ve now experienced this is the best. Where this one has advantage is there really isn’t an exact analogue scent out there. None of those being mentioned above, except the Givenchy I’ve listed, are even close. But if you narrow it down to the two primary ingredients here, nuts and iris, there’s stuff out there as likable as this or more so, and at a better price point. I like Maison Alhambra’s “Fusion Intense” almost as much as this and it’s $22. I’m a fan of two mid-market scents in my collection, Valentino “Uomo”, and Profumum Roma “Alba”. I had Givenchy Gentleman "Reserve Privee” but gave it to a friend who liked it and haven’t gotten around to replacing it, but it’s very well-rated, you can find it for less than $100, and I don’t find the difference between the almond in this and the chestnut in the Givenchy that profound. All that said, this is a very nice, versatile, nutty iris scent. No one will find it offensive. Some may find it too sweet for their taste. It think it’s fine date wear. Enough perfume oil here to stain clothing, so it performs quite well. But to me it’s not $200 better than the Givenchy. Good Luck and Good Hunting!

First proper sampling of one of Creed’s newest releases, Delphinus, since I first smelled it in-store several months ago, it being my favorite vs. its companion release, Centaurus. Delphinus is, to me, an orris-led blend colored by incense, vanilla, and pepper, primarily, with an additional mélange of resinous/powdery/earthy notes of patchouli, almond, leather, and tonka. It balances boldness and subtlety, offering a little bit of the powder and creaminess orris but coupling it with a spicy, resinous, sweet ensemble that seems to be at the intersection of a few concepts, yielding a new idea that, while not a wild departure in its own right, does not remind me specifically of any one perfume. I find it to be smooth, easygoing, and classy, a reasonable statement in a formal occasion in cool weather, and a much louder statement at the beach in the summer. Evolution-wise, it begins with a bit more of a spices-and-orris vibe and gives way to the vanilla gradually over time, but the blend remains fairly consistent over the course of some hours. Delphinus now appears to be sold via the Creed website and in Creed boutiques as well as its standard retailers, including department stores like Neiman Marcus. Unfortunately, the biggest obstacle to enjoying this fragrance and this house is its retail pricing, which continues to increase steadily, currently $545/400 for 100/50ml for this new release. Discounters like FragranceBuy.CA already offer it at more modest $309 for 100ml, however. Overall, though, this is an outstanding release to me, one of Creed’s very best in a number of years to the point that I do not have an immediate comparison in mind as far as quality and just how much it stands out to me in a positive way. 8 out of 10

Surprising release by Creed. Me personally, I am not a huge fan of Creed’s typical DNA with a few exceptions. This one is the best exception. I was at the store re-trying all the creed fragrances to re-familiarize myself with the house and what I like from them to buy in the future. I was about to turn away when I decided to try Delphinus. It was a recent addition to the store I was at and expected to dislike it as I do many Creed fragrances. This was different. The fragrance opens up in a medicinal-like cherry scent, in your face right off the rip like a typical Creed. But after only 1-2 minutes that cherry slows down and blends into this beautiful cherry, leather, woody, vanilla sent that is luxurious and addictive. After about 1-2 hours, more leather comes out and the almond/vanilla sits in the back showing warmth, sweetness. The feminine side of the fragrance. And the leather truly wraps up the notes in a bow and presents this fantastic unisex fragrance. Excellent for cooler weather or even late spring. Very seductive, attention grabbing and different in a fantastic way. This fragrance by Creed is wildly slept on. I do not see many influencers speaking about Delphinus which is great so I can stand out wearing this fragrance. I would recommend trying this fragrance before buying as you are taking a big risk blind buying. This fragrance speaks to me and would recommend giving it a try 9.5/10

Creed Delphinus is the fragrance that completely changed my relationship with iris / orris. I’d previously explored the Dior Homme line, Givenchy and similar styles, and came away thinking that iris just wasn’t for me. On a whim, I picked up a 5ml decant of Delphinus... and honestly, good god. It smells absolutely divine. The blending here is exceptional. It’s hard to break down because nothing feels sharp or isolated. What stands out most is the smoothest almond that is totally free of bitterness, paired with a silky, buttery orris that feels refined and luxurious rather than just powdery. They compliment each other so well. As it dries down, vanilla and tonka gently emerge, adding warmth and softness, while a subtle amber glow supports the whole composition. Everything feels creamy, cohesive, and beautifully composed with Iris / Orris still the star of the show. Some might argue that Delphinus leans slightly feminine, but to my nose it’s completely unisex. And even if it didn’t fit neatly into a gender specific category, I honestly wouldn’t care. It’s simply one of the best fragrances I’ve ever experienced. Safe to say, the decant didn’t last long and I had to buy a full bottle. I already own Aventus Absolu and I’m genuinely torn between which of these are my favourite from Creed.

This is an excellent and different style fragrance from Creed. If I tried this blind, I would have no idea that this was made by Creed. Cool to see them go in a different direction for a change and I say that as a huge Creed fan of many years. Big in your face opening of almond, iris, vanilla with a leathery, tonka and amber dry down that is a bit powdery. I get how some people get cherries, but I don’t get a ton of it. Delphinus is long lasting with moderate projection. It leans masculine but I think anyone could pull it off. Likely not going to be a big with teenagers, but it is not a “grandpa/grandma” fragrance by any stretch. Wearable in all seasons but I wouldn’t wear this on a hot summer day. It is more of a fall/winter fragrance. Office friendly if you don’t overspray it. The only negative? The retail price is idiotic. I paid around $170USD for a 50ml from my favourite discounter heavily discounted on Black Friday and even paying that much was painful. Definitely not blind buy worthy though... I own 18 different Creed fragrances and my wife loves most of them, but she is still on the fence with Delphinus. It doesn’t have any of that signature ambergris and bergamot that Creed is so well known for. Still worth checking out if you like the notes.

Scent Description: Very almond forward, almost like marzipan with a tiny hint of bitterness and a pinch of pepper in the opening. Its sweet perfume, but not heady or too-much as the florals do an amazing job bringing the scent down to the perfect point. The tonka and vanilla build a wonderful base for the rest of the ingredients to shine through. It feels extremely well-blended with high quality ingredients and depth for days. Definitely a great gourmand creation! Overall Feel: Once I smelled it I experienced simultaneously two very contradicting emotions. I felt a wonderful effortless calming effect and drooled at the same time. I haven't gotten such a strong and polarizing reaction to a perfume in a very long time so congrats Creed. On top of all that, its sexy, alluring and different. How do all these co-exist? I am just as surprised as you are while reading this. Scent Profile: As a woman, I feel it leans a tiny bit more masculine but can be easily worn by a woman. Its signature scent worthy for sure! The person that wears this is well-dressed, well-behaved, confident but not arrogant or intimidating. He/she is a quiet force that allures others and likes the finer things in life. *One of the very very few perfumes that is worth the price tag

This is amazing! Since feve delicious got discontinued I have been searching for fragrances that smell somewhat like it. This although is different enough it gives me that same vibe and evokes some of the same emotions feve does. Surprised not many others have noticed similarities. This is powdery, sweet, slightly spicy boozy vanilla perfection. As soon as you spray it there is a cherry fruity vibe most likely from the almond. It is beautiful and so satisfying. As it settles it becomes a bit more powdery and slightly sweeter with the vanilla coming through however it never gets too sweet. All the other notes are balanced perfectly. I have worn it in some of these recent slightly warmer spring california days and it has worked perfectly. It never becomes cloying at all. This is so comforting and airy. Almost angelic and the scent just hugs you. You understand the theme of celestial when you smell it. Beautiful. If you love elegant powdery boozy vanillas this is a must try in my opinion. It retains an aura of class elegance! I’m in love.

My full bottle arrived today and I am over the moon with it. The opening is peppery and powdery, very ethereal and intoxicating. As it dries down, its ambery, vanilla-y and soft leathery facets start to develop giving it a very cozy wear. Curiously, I feel that the projection and sillage actually ramps up a bit as it starts to dry dow... the juice is very oily so maybe it takes some time to be fully absorbed by the skin. I don't think this scent is linear as it changes a lot during wear. It also smells differently depending on the distance from the wearer. Up close you can really pick up the leather and the makeup effect from the Orris. In the air I pick up some stronger vanilla, amber and some soft florals. Performance-wise, I think it's good. It lasts long on skin (6h-8h) and projects moderately. It think this can be a great signature scent and it has lots of character and good performance (without being overwhelming). That being said, retail price is insanely high (£330 - 100 ml). Try to get a deal or find a second hand bottle.

!!!!!! This is beautifully created. Haters just gonna hate,& I personally see ZERO resemblance to Dior homme intense //ZERO. This stuff wears effortlessly in my opinion. And to be honest I wrote this short review previously but forgot to submit it . And today I decided to throw on spice bomb dark leather and I kept getting confused because about 30 minutes after initial application I could’ve sworn it was Delphinus I put on, not SBDL. I swear they’re not the same , but very Very VERY similar to my nose . People say Delphinus is more for the ladies but I love it for myself. My wife actually thinks Delphinus is more masculine . So you can see how everybody’s perception of scents are different . If you like Delphinus but think it’s too feminine,. Try spice bomb dark leather . Both amazing scents , I think the only difference is the orris (iris) note in the Delphinus that separates the two . Other than that , they’re indeed like first cousins but they share the same dad if ya know what I mean !! THE END

Honestly, the only Creed fragrance that has caught my interest as aggressively as Aventus Cologne did. Absolutely to die for! Smells chic, upscale, rich, with a subtle versatility if you have a more semi-formal facade. Would love to get it for ~$230 tops. Still at $300 is just a tough pill to swallow, but it's a complete/finished fragrance to me. Good performance - really all I need with that DNA. Not super situational, can be worn in 3 seasons rather easily. No iris/almond fragrance smells redundant with it, and I pick up on a cherry-like accord in the opening that actually makes it even better. A more masculine suede/leather develops the fragrance into a night time option as well, all wrapped up in a beautiful incense mysteriousness. 10/10, will buy when prices come down a bit. Centaurus isn't even in my radar, after sampling and testing. Delphinus is THE release for Creed to me this year.

If you’re truly into Niche fragrances (and not just viral fragrance) then you will 100% appreciate this masterpiece. I haven’t purchased any bottle in a while because I’ve been underwhelmed by releases lately. I got this for my birthday after the first smell. The opening is beautiful! Very sweet spicy and resinous! I really love the almond in the opening. It’s Slightly boozy with the incense in the background! In the mid, the incense is shining with the soft leather Orris! It almost feels like the sweetness is gone, but it pops back up in the dry down. The patchouli ties the entire fragrance together ever so lightly. To me it’s not overly medicinal or hippie. It’s just right. I truly love this fragrance because I love the journey it takes me on. If it wasn’t so expensive, I’d probably make it my winter signature scent❤️

Love this now after a couple wears! What I’m getting a lot of now is a beautiful, fresh pipe tobacco (cherry), even though this isn’t listed as a note. When I first tried it on my forearm I thought it was a bit ‘meh, smells like paper’ vibe, but then it grew on me after that wear and I kept thinking about it. I got a couple samples and it made me keep trying to figure out what was I getting from this that wasn’t listed in the notes. Cherry pipe tobacco with tonka and a bit of cola. Really like the new direction of Creed with their later frags, moving away from the old man scents. I’ve not as yet bought a Creed. Even Aventus I didn’t feel was worth the $$ but I’ll be getting a bottle of Delphinus before the end of the year. Well done Creed. To me it leans masculine but a cool, confident woman could rock this!

My initial thought was that this smelled like paper, printing paper that's fresh from the printer but that smell went away pretty quick and my lord....what is this concoction. I don't really know how to describe how these smells but i absolutely love it and that's all i care about, now this fragrance is deceivingly quiet, what i mean is that you have to smell it super close to where you sprayed it to actually smell it, and you might think that this is a skin scent straight out of the bottle but oh no no, because tell me why i was catching whiffs of this in the air 11 hours later, insane longevity. This fragrance makes me mad, this and cuir beluga, not because they smell bad, but because they smell too good and CB is hard to get your hands on and this is too damn expensive.

Wonderful. An elegant velvet like vanilla/almond centric scent. The blend of notes gives off a cherry accord in the opening, making me thinks this is as if Tom ford Vanilla Sex and homme idéal Guerlain EDP had a niche baby. This is what I wish Pegasus by Pdm smelt like when I read the notes and finally being disappointed by its metallic nature. This fragrance isn’t cloying, despite the usually heavy/ thick base notes it uses. This one gives space to let the user not get sick despite the gourmandy nature. More of a nightime scent in my opinion with the smoke, but can be used in the daytime, any occasion anywhere except in the high heat, unless in climate controlled places.

One of the few smoky vanillas I actively like and would wear. Often, I understand they smell good, but they don't seem like they would be wearable. The incense here does not overwhelm, the leather compliments everything, and the patchouli and pepper seem to ground it from becoming too sweet. Every element that contributes to this powdery feeling is amazing. I can't say it is something I would always wear, but this has a lot of what I like about tobacco fragrances like Tobacco Vanille combined with a powdery sense found in beauties like Hypnotic Poison. More of a comforting scent to me, I would say it is a very strong like. Something about it is nostalgic and empowering.
