Original Cologne (Pure White Cologne)

I know fragrance is subjective, but I feel that this is getting a lot of unfair criticism. Sure this is a very expensive fragrance, so I understand why some people say it is overpriced, but I completely disagree, here is why: The royal exclusives line is made in more limited quantities and is therefore more exclusive - they could have made it the same price as Aventus, or even more affordable - for example, theoretically the fragrance could be sold under the name of a different company at a very cheap price. If either of these things happened, this fragrance would just become a clean, fresh, and generic scent, and taken for granted. This really is more than I can afford to purchase, but I went ahead and got it anyway - To me this is the most beautiful, delicate yet very assured, clean and uplifting fragrance that I know of. When I wear it I feel privileged that people around me can smell it, that whoever smells it has no idea whether it is a £500 or £50 scent, and no one who doesn't understand much about fragrance would imagine it costs the amount it does - if they liked it (I struggle to see how it could be disliked) and asked me what it is, I will lie and say it's just something my other half got me I can't remember. Basically, smelling this good for something that few people know about, and with limited availability, means it is worth the high price. Sure there are endless other expensive fragrances that smell 'expensive' because they are expensive to make, and smell fantastic, e.g. creed aventus, dior private line etc, but they always get hyped up, cloned, and taken for granted. I can't eulogise how good this is to me, and I can't figure out if I like it so much because it's rare/expensive, or a perfect spring/summer/refreshing scent, or both...but it is perfect. Also, we all know ambergris is in most creed fragrances, but if all creeds were £40 a bottle, there wouldn't be enough ambergris in the world to supply the demand of smelling this way. There will be summer clean fresh fragrances out there at bargain prices which people would likely prefer over this in blind smell tests, just as there are many people who would prefer the taste of a McDonalds meal over a 3 michelin star main of fish roe, white truffle, and saffron (just made up); but 95% or more of the population would never find out what the latter is like, however, this is that 3 Michelin star fragrance (but not weird or eccentric) which you can introduce to people without words, without showing off, without shouting look how good I smell and what I can afford (like with many other expensive niches), this just is sophisticated, pleasant, upper class...but in no way pretentious or showy offy. This reminds me of what Princess Diana would have worn or someone of that vein, she was a princess (this would be also be just as fine for a prince) but more importantly an ambassador and humanitarian, never a show off, liked by everyone, down to Earth, vulnerable yet strong, authentic, clean, trustworthy, sophisticated, and class. When I wear this It gives me quiet confidence, and I really hope this never becomes hyped up because it is my secret, and makes me feel good. Edit: this is also olfactory heaven; you close your eyes, breathe in deep and you are transported to a perfect place, you can smell the different notes, it never burns the nose no matter how hard you sniff, the deeper you inhale the more you are taken on a journey, and when you come back down to Earth, you are more relaxed, focused, and motivated to be your best self - just like after meditation. It is also a perfect Unisex scent, suited for professional and casual wear, but not dates or clubs, and probably not suitable for outdoors in colder weather, there are much better options for the latter. However there are no better options for where this best shines.

Im in my early 30's and to be honest, I've worn colognes since 5th-grade. You name it; Cool Water, Fahrenheit, Jean Paul Gaultier, Issey Miyake, Ralph Lauren Polo Green Blue Black, Gucci, D&G, Cartier, Hermes, and many others. Now I am a total fan of real pure oud oils, BUT when it comes to getting an instant olfactory reset I am proud to admit Creed Pure White Cologne (formerly known as Creed Original Cologne) is by far an absolute treat to wear. Not just for the person wearing it, but for those that are around you. This stuff reminds me of a Rolls Royce or a Bentley. It is a scent of intelligence & winning success. It can easily be worn everyday and gladly appreciated by many... But why would you? It's simply that darn great. Enough already, Creed Pure White Cologne is a "light fresh pear scent with spritz of orange and lemon combined with suttle light touches of warm grapefruit... The dry down is elegant, welcoming, charming and basically similar to fresh clean clothes along the lines of a custom made fabric softener... but 10x better, almost with a hint of baby powder... its soft & clean. I could picture a well known championship NFL or NBA owner wearing this. Or a veteran actor who isnt old but has a collection of films they've starred in. It does cost around $700 U.S. depending on where its being purchased at, and that's for 8.4oz/250ml. The BIG question is it worth it? I own it... although I acquired it in a friendship/loyalty ordeal; so it was only $140 U.S. for 80% of a 8.4oz bottle. If you can afford it or simply appreciate great quality I feel it's worth it. This style of fragrance isn't meant to be compared to other fragrances... it stands alone from all the rest of the Creeds, and when you wear it you'll love it. It has good longevity around 6-7hours, its projection is worth about 4hours and then it sits to the skin within 1-2feet. As far as applying this scent to clothes it last much longer like 16hours BUT this isnt that kind of scent. If you want something like that go with Creed Aventus, Millesime Imperial, or Original Vetiver. Overall, the reasons why I enjoy this fragrance because its not screaming for ultra-mega attention, its welcoming and it has a crisp-clean gentle side to it. Finally it doesn't last all day long so I'm able to dream of wearing it again for the right occasion. -Its Good Stuff-

Simple general toilet detergent smell.. that’s what most people would say or think, but not me. As a experienced nose as I call myself after 14 years of using, mixing and smelling perfumes, I can say this is a very extraordinary perfume in his category. This is a white lin shirt or dress (unisex), mature vibes which means class and put together and uplifting freshness of citrus. The blend is out perfectly together and yes the similarities above are quit correct except for the nishane, which has a lot of fig elements. Here we deal with a amazing lemon opening, fresh, juicy and even bit sour.. it develops to a powdery centre which is the base. The rice gives the thickness and smoothness to that powdery base, the pear makes it even more soft and that’s why I it’s Unixes for me.. the lemon stays quit the whole show but very softened. It’s pleasant, makes you feel worth a billion dollar, not a statement maker as it does not projects.. but this one is just for you to remind you of how great you are and that you are put together. Performance ... difficult in summer times I do get a whole day like 6-8 hours.. but projection is intimate during its show. Not need to project this one as well like I said it’s for you and only for yourself.. Price? Expensive but I think that the attitude what it gives as I mentioned in my comment, you should and want to afford it.. Creed you guys where my favourite house but you do reformulate to much, still all pleasant and special for me.. and this one is not an exception. Downside : price.. I’m not there where this scent should be, haha but heyy life is a journey let’s enjoy the ride and see if this one will be added to my collection.

My favourite fragrance of all time! Pure White Cologne is a luxurious take on the classic "cologne" style of fragrance. Blending the traditional italian chords with contemporary (and somewhat unexpected notes) like the pear and the rice flour note, Creed brings with you this scent an uplifting gentlemen’s fragrance. Very clean and bright - pure as the name suggests. This fragrance opens in an effervescence way with citrus notes of lemon, bergamot and grapefruit leading into the crisp and fresh heart notes of pear, petit grain, galbanum and neroli (but please note that this does not smell like classic neroli as Neroli Portofino and alikes). This Creed Royale Exclusive scent closes with the brand's classic DNA of ambergris and warm white musk. Creed claims "Pure White Cologne is a contemporary homage to the legendary colognes and fashions of the Regency and Victorian eras." Although reading the notes it may seem as it is a very simple fragrance, PWC is very enticing and exciting. A pure and white cologne that feels to my as happiness in a bottle. A ray of sunlight in a green landscape. It does have this green and powdery fell to it (more green), but the powdery side of it is very minimal - just a touch! Creed describe it as "Freshly pressed and perfectly tailored, a classic white shirt is the timeless foundation upon which the most stylish of Society – both past and present – build their iconic, fashionable ensembles. A simple, traditional bedrock that paves the way for visionary progress and endless creativity." This is totally what it is. A perfect blended fragrance! Simple, traditional and timeless. Perfect 10!

Magnificent understated fresh and clean scent which truly shines in warmer weather. This scent opens with a sparkling citrus blend that is centered around grapefruit before transitioning to a juicy semi-sweet pear note. The opening is very refreshing and light. At this stage, the scent leans feminine. As the heart notes reveal themselves more fully, there is a bit of neroli, which enhances the sweetness of the pear before some sharp, herbal green notes assert themselves pulling the whole fragrance in a masculine direction. Ultimately, the scent as a whole is unisex. The Creed signature ambergris marks the dry down. To my nose, this note smells like the real thing. It is a bit more animalic and multi-faceted than the similar note found in other Creed scents. But rather than being sharp or harsh, in Pure White a powdery rice (almost rice paper) note swirls around the ambergris, smoothing it out. There is also a clean white musk note here. It is all exceptionally elegant. This scent projects moderately, but will bloom into heady projection in high heat and humidity. Longevity is considerable. The presentation, as with all of the Creed "Royal Exclusives", is classy bling with real gold accents on the bottle. This fragrance is, in all aspects, the epitome of "luxury" perfumery. It is also horribly expensive for what it is. Worth it? Try it and decide, but only if you are ready to part with well over $500, because I believe that for most folks, to smell Pure White is to fall in love with this stellar fragrance.

Thought I'd wear this for a while before writing anything. I started using this in late autumn and throughout the colder months. On my skin it lasts 24 hours. It's even quite noticeable after taking a shower(!). I don't think it evolves much, but that's fine considering the lovely top notes (I wouldn't have it any other way). It projects for at least 8 hours (my girlfriend notices it constantly 12 hours later, so it seems to be projecting as long as you're wearing it). I only spray twice, one spray on each side of the neck. People notice it throughout the day, and they don't even have to stand close. It lingers where you've been. It's hard to describe the fragrance I think, but it's a very nice citrus, not sharp and not overwhelming. It's something you'd want to smell on yourself for a long time after applying. I never get tired of it like many others I own. Everyone who has commented on it really likes it too, especially women. It's expensive, and the price has gone up since I purchased it, it seems. However, I personally think it's worth it. Especially when I think about all the money I've spent on perfumes I rarely (or never) wear. Choose your fragrances wisely, so you don't end up with too many "ok" perfumes. For those interested, the batch number is A0311Q01, and it seems to have been produced in 2011. In my top 5.

The fragrance begins with an invigorating burst of fruit and citrus, an opening which is quite mesmerizing. Sicilian bergamot, Italian grapefruit and lemon all create the hesperidic top notes, lending to its wearer a hint of optimism. The blending of citrus top notes with the fruity and green notes of the heart is a tour de force in perfume making artistry. Juicy pear with its sweet and honey-like facets accompanies neroli blossom and pungent galbanum in the mid range. Neroli blossom's softly bitter top and greener, lush body matches perfectly with galbanum's more intense bitter, green qualities. The sweetness of the pear definitely dampens the sharp bitterness of the galbanum making it much more pleasant and tolerable. Ambergris, white musk, and rice powder comprise the base of 'Pure White Cologne'. The dry down is pleasant but less ambitious as the opening burst upon initial application. Sillage and longevity for this harmonious composition is moderate. I feel this fragrance yields its biggest appeal and best performance in Spring and Summer. CREED's 'Pure White Cologne' reminds me of a timid fawn who ventures out in the morning dew to nibble a few blades of grass and go unnoticed; delicate, unobtrusive, and cautious. One of the best men’s professional scents, if not THE best. It’s also perfect for those days where you just want to smell good and not have to think what fragrance you want to wear. It can work for about every occasion any time. It’s just the most heavenly clean smell. To me, it’s like they took Green Irish Tweed and refined it to better suit the gorgeous bottle this is in. This isn’t the loud compliment getter, but it’s the perhaps the best understated and “just got out of the shower and used luxury soap” scents. One YouTube review said something along the lines of, “If there is soap in the bathrooms in Heaven, this is what it would smell like.” I completely agree. However, this has a little more depth and sophistication than just “soap,” but a non-enthusiast will probably perceive it as a nice soap. I love mine and get slightly above average longevity on skin. Sillage is around average. If I ever go through my full 2.5 oz bottle (hard to do for me anymore with my collection), I will definitely look into replacing it. At full retail, I don’t think it’s worth it, but for almost 75% off for a tester like I got, it was a steal for this quality and gorgeous juice. 8.5/10 overall (10/10 for the clean/fresh category). Best office fragrance of all time.

I have an original creed sample vial that I got about 12 years ago and am comparing it with my bottle of the current formulation. (F batch) Original formula is less citrusy, smells denser and more full. The rice note is also more apparent giving it a clean almost boozy/wheaty texture. Has the signature original Creed ambergris/musk that we all love. Current formula is more citrusy, and mainly has less depth. Lacks a bit of the signature creed ambergris as it was replaced with ambroxan. Overall, they’re very similar. With the main difference being that the current formula is more citrusy and transparent. This fragrance is seriously one of the cleanest and most expensive smelling fragrances I’ve put my nose on in the last 12 years. Criminally underrated and it oozes class. The only thing I can knock it for is performance. It’s quite bad but serviceable..barely. I get it, there’s a time and a place for light fragrances but I want to smell this gorgeous aroma for more than 3 hours. ESPECIALLY for $600.

It's very nice. Light citrus, and creed's standard musky-ambergris note that you probably notice being a bit metallic. It does develop into the fractional tuberose which is heavy handedly used in Eau D'Italie to give it sunbaked terracotta aroma; here it is demure like all other notes. Consider it to be a skin scent with relatively long lasting power (4-5h ish). Comparing this to Jardin D'Amalfi and White Amber from same line, they fully disappear on my skin but i can still pick this one up when i bring my skin close to nose after 3 hours. Collectively all these notes make it smell very clean and effortless chic. Unisex and could become someone's signature smell because of being unobtrusive and widely likeable if it wasn't for the price tag. I bought me a bottle to be my upcoming euro trip companion and I don't regret it. She ain't out to prove any thing. She is cool and she knows that!!

This is a love for me because on my skin it comes closest to the smell of fresh magnolia grandiflora than any other perfume. I know it has no magnolia grandiflora in it, but on me the mixture of citrus, etc. turns almost into the smell of the giant magnolia trees blooming in May-June in the South, the scent wafting gently in the breeze with their delicious, lemony smell mingling with their deep evergreen leaves and other bright, fresh springtime odors. Magnolia perfumes with actual magnolia don't come close enought to the softness of the scent in the air, and they are usually too much, too sweet, too intense to smell like real magnolia grandiflora on the breeze. This perfume is fresh, not too sweet, sunny and peaceful, easy to wear. My only gripe is the performance/ lasting power of this perfume isn't good, unfortunately. I have to say it's overpriced, esp because of the longevity issue.

Some may not be impressed here but I've smelled a ton of top quality fragrances in this category, and this one is using very high quality natural materials. Neroli, citruses, followed by a nice and soothing rice and powder. I wish this part was a tad bit more prominent, but it helps with the soapy white clean vibe. Longevity is pretty good, especially for a cologne. I tested this on skin compared to other niche brands and it suprisingly outlasted them all, albeit, as a skin scent. Impressive. This is a gorgeous cologne and sort of what I was hoping Prada L'Homme would have been. I can't believe I passed this by for so many years. This one is a sleeper and one of the best from Creed IMO. 🤍 Scent 9.5/10 Performance 7.3/10

I chose this as my signature now, partially based on a co-worker saying that she thought of this as my signature scent. The other reasons are highlighted in my review below. It's such a great fragrance, and it hits the spot in terms of smell, longevity, projection, and overall feel. Considering my bottle is from 2011, my only fear is that new batches won't be as good or long lasting. It's a 250 ml though, and it doesn't look like much fragrance is being used in one spray (it looks like I've barely used it). Two sprays are still enough, and it lasts all day. Compliments every time I use it as well (still after several hours). It's not something I demand from a fragrance, but it's always nice to hear.

Magical! Starts off smelling like bottled Springtime & happiness, and later transforms into something intoxicating and sexy. I can't stop sniffing my wrist! It smells very feminine on my skin, but I'm sure it reacts differently with a man's chemistry. It smells odd at first spray, but quickly smells like a cool blast of fresh pears, bergamot and neroli. After an hour, it transforms into a warmer but airy mixture of rice, ambergris, and powder. The soft sweetness of the pear still lingers. Projects well on my skin, and the warm airy phase lasts for a long time. (My favorite part!) Six hours later and it's still intoxicating... This may be my new favorite Creed!

The only way I can think to describe this is through the image of freshly washed white sheets in a luxurious hotel room. It doesn’t smell like laundry detergent, but it is certainly clean, expensive, and very white. I think this is perfectly unisex and would suit someone who doesn’t want to be loud and obnoxious with their scent- a true mark of elegance and class. I get pretty good longevity with this- it is indeed a skin scent but lasts forever on my clothes. After having a decant of this I am tempted to sell a huge portion of my collection and keep just a few gems. Something about this makes me want to become a minimalist.😂

I was able to pick up a bottle from before the 2018 reformulation (with the notes above) and I have testers of the new formula. They're pretty similar and both are fantastic. The green scent in both is wonderful and hooks me in every single time. In the old, it's much more like a damp, spring day. The new, a Summertime afternoon with a hint of freshly cut watermelon. Settles down into a super clean scent, powdery with light musk. Longevity appears better in the old than the new. This is a favorite in my collection. Beyond expectations. Incredibly versatile for layering, but stands strong on it's own. Highly recommended.

I have a sample of this and I love it. It's not that this is a really unique fragrance, it's fresh and citrusy so you may judge it as a very expensive version of something you can find on the high street. In the past, I may have said the same, but over time I've got a better appreciation of fragrance. The reason I find it so good is it executes the idea really well. It's fresh, high quality, and inoffensive. The dry down is really pleasant, something Creed does quite well. Shame the full bottles are prohibitively expensive for me. I don't like most of what Creed come up with, but I really enjoy this.

Creed Pure White Cologne is a Fresh green powdery cologne that I do enjoy. It last days on clothes and around six hours on skin. Sillage is arm length, people notice the scent. It is different from most colognes owing to Galbanium. Galbanium note is similar to Chanel no 19 Poudre, interesting, fresh and green. Rice gives soft powdery touch similar to iris. I do not smell any iris. Dry down is green, powdery, clean, and musky. My kids love this scent on me and I do get compliments. I think this is unisex that leans masculine and mature. Great fresh formal cologne: Scent 9/10, price too high.

Those who like overly boisterous colognes will be sadly disappointed in this scent, as it lays very close to the skin. Incredible scent, will work for both young and old. Incredibly versatile for every situation in warmer weather. If you wear this in spring you'll fit in nicely with fruit tree blossoms. The silage is there but loses reach pretty quickly, I think that's what other reviewers may have been mistaking for the weak longevity because it does stay on the skin pretty long. It is very attractive but certainly does not scream sexy. An elegant piece of art. Very expensive and almost worth the extreme price. I'm very happy with my decant that I got as a present.

I can't put together the proper words to describe what a beautiful fragrance this is. Even if you don't like the scent, you have to respect the masterwork of a blend that is used here. Very crisp neroli, as you can smell in Xerjoff Nio, rounded off and smoothed by soft and sweet pear and grapefruit. This would honestly be hyped as the second coming of Christ if it was made by a designer brand and wasn't carrying the creed royal collection price tag. Would be in every youtubers "Top 10 summer" and "Best clubbing fragrances" video WITHOUT EXCEPTION.

I have just recently purchased Pure White Cologne and I must say its a truly unique fragrance. Incredibly fresh and thought provoking. In my honest opinion I believe a fragrance is one of the most impressionable accessory you can wear. A scent can be a powerful memory trigger; if you are wearing something as exclusive and unique as this people will remember your smell whenever you encounter them again. It might be to floral for some but the pear and rice make it quite memorable. I suggest trying this before you committ to such a hefty price tag.

Due to the price and reviews I was expecting more. It's lovely, don't get me wrong, but I think you can achieve the same effect with other cologne style fragrances at a fraction of the price. Had I smelled this before I had smelled a ton of others, I might have been more wowed. If you have money to blow, go for it. It's superb. If not, sample some others in this style and pick your favorite. I like ELDO Cologne. I do get the similarity to Original Vetiver, which is nice. So as it dries down I get a major similarity to Kenneth Cole Blue...

Beautiful quintessential "cologne". Distinct, yet with the bergamot and grapefruit opening that lingers throughout the life of it on my skin compliment perfectly the pear and white musk base. There is not a single facet of this incredible fragrance that I don't absolutely love. Uplifts and gives me such pleasure all day. I get all day longevity, I can smell it on myself all day and by the end of the day my wife can smell it when she hugs me. Scent: 10/10 Longevity & Sillage: 8/10

I don't spend a ton of money fragrances, but I had to buy this one immediately after smelling it at Neiman Marcus last weekend. I Don't care how ridiculously over-priced it is. This is the best thing that I have ever smelled in my entire life. Hands down. Beautiful calming clean citrus smell. It's unlike anything else I've tried. I don't find this one to be overly floral or feminine as the notes on this site may suggest. I get very good longevity and projection on this one.

Sparkling, clean, crisp, fresh and pure. The scent of positivity, energy and good mood. Hard not to love! The opening is a bit too floral for me (definitely Neroli and most definitely Galbanum!) but turns into fresh crisp citrus in a few minutes. When I wear it, everything just seems to be great. I am still learning it's longevity, feels like it fades quickly but it might be my tired nose. I hope I am radiating this beauty for miles!

Stunningly beautiful. I have no words to describe how this fragrance catches my whole heart when smelling its middle note until its base note. I don't like its top note that much, however. Frankly, I had to wait until its middle note to decide purchasing full bottle, and with it I had no reason why I must not buy it, even though it required such non-sence expensive money.

I love love this scent! The beautiful cloud of pear, white musk, and lemon really enchants. The perfume is subtle and is intimate (This is definitely not a "NOTICE ME!" perfume). Reacts really well with heat. My clothes were smelling really nice after an hour at work. Very pricey sure, but its not called the "Exclusive" collection for nothing.

Probably it is the weakest creed fragrance BUT the smell is fantastic. It is a nice natural citrus fruity scent suitable for summer. Pure white cologne is a fragrance that I wear it for myself and not to announce it for everybody. If you want something similar and stronger I recommend Aqua Vitae Forte by Francis Kurkdjian .

If you want something simply and gorgeous, I will recommend you wear this one. Its scent is somewhat linear on the top to middle note with citrus, but turns out a little sweet with powdery rice in dry down. Longevity is rather o.k. for me, 6-8 hours, but many people may hesitate to buy it thanks to its poor projection.

With regard to scent alone, this is definitely a top quality masterpiece. I love that pear note a lot! Silage: moderate (but pretty strong in the first 1-2 hours) Longevity: moderate (I got a decent 4-5 hr on my skin, which is totally acceptable for such a fresh fragrance.) 9/10 for me.

I'm really note sure if there could be a better smelling summer/citrus scent honestly. 10/10 Only con for some people will be the price. Creed, please sell 75ml and 125ml bottles of this so you can take the number 1 hype spot for your house! Sales would go off the chart this is so good

I expected more from this. Clean galbanum, neroli and citrus notes is all I get in the opening. It turns into a bit more feminine leaning powdery pear and that’s it. Would be a great old schools cologne freshie for about 80 dollars max, but this is waaaaaaaaay overpriced.

I find myself getting very defensive about this one and even territorial because it's my signature scent and I love it just that much. This is not a fragrance of white flowers. I, myself, don't care for white flowers. This is a clean, citrus-based fragrance.

Hands down one of the best "pure white cologne" smells out there BUT longevity it's catastrophic downfall! It lasts only 1 hour, after that it's just a skin scent. For this much money 75 ml $550 there should be better performance.

I went for Jardin amalfi at first, but got sprayed this one at the back of my hand before I dismissed the shop. It kept hitting in to my face on that day, so I got it day after. Both 75 and 250 ml now lol.

Super clean and fresh, distinct from other Freshies like 4711, Neroli Portofino, Pacific Chill and so forth, beautiful bottle also, but im not sure if the price is worth it, especially for the longevity

I know I'll be wearing this a lot! Such a lovely clean, simple, classy and pure pleasant fragrance. Simply wonderful. Looking forward to getting more experience with this.

Finally after 30 years of exploration of fragrances (over 400 bottles) I have eventually found my signature scent, and this fragrance is heavenly.

One of the best summer scents that money can buy. Instant compliment getter. Fresh and clean citrus smell like no other. 10/10

Ultra clean cologne. After trying almost the entirety of what Creed has to offer, I was ultimately underwhelmed. Most of the house of Creed seems to be mediocre fresh fragrances at abhorrent price points (especially in the US). Creativity is better found elsewhere and technical performance seems to be overall lacklustre. Clichés include citruses reminding me of house hold cleaning products and acidic florals that have never seen the light of day. Seems Creed just isn't a house that often finds itself settling well with my pallete. However, there are exceptions: Royal Mayfair is a delightfully fresh British stereotype in fragrance form. Royal Oud is a very good (once the citruses have passed) warm, woody scent that is doused in class and has an unusual but pleasant "ashy" texture. Fortunately, Pure White Cologne is one of those exceptions. It's a familiar yet extremely well done rendition of the classic cologne with the cleanliness that even a devout priest couldn't fault for dirty wrong-doings. I don't typically enjoy fresh fragrances, but the citrus opening in Pure White Cologne doesn't remind me of sanitising products or Strepsils, so, we're immediately off to a good start. It's slightly sharp, but realistic and the bergamot, lemon and grapefruit concoction has surprising longevity gradually arching into the heart. There is little sweetness here and is quite tart. The heart notes offer a slightly bitter green experience with the galbanum, although the most prominent note would be the pear with the matte texture of its skin still present. Neroli is there, but at least to my nose is hiding comfortably behind the pear and galbanum. It is crisp and fruity with a great deal of clarity. In this stage, it's a clean, bitter and slightly sweet experience. Pure White Cologne finds itself venturing into soapy terroroties, but doesn't commit. Offering the suggestion of a bar of soap, but not quite like Creed's own Original Vetiver which commits fully into soapy waters. The dry down is your simple, but nonetheless very pleasant, fruity musk with slight powder and ambergris. The ambergris has been purged of it's animalic qualities and the musk has clearly never been inside an animal. The slight powdery facet, presumably from the rice powder, likely wouldn't detract anyone who's averted to powdery fragrances. This is the cleanest fragrance I have ever smelled! Totally virgin. Overall, there is one major concern about this scent - and that's the price. Pure White Cologne is a very familiar fragrance. It's the classic citrus cologne we've come to except for decades now - perhaps over a century and so doesn't reinvent the wheel or do anything particularly remarkable. With a price tag of $995, you'd likely come to except something that pushes olfactory boundaries and does something wildly different. This simply doesn't. However, as with the rest of "Les Royales Exclusives" Pure White Cologne is a scent built with care, thought and attention. I can sense the time and effort that went into creating this scent. It feels well composed and every note has been carefully placed and measured. As if they told the perfumer: "make the perfect cologne, but don't alienate our current clientel with anything too unorthodox. Take as much time as you need." Performance is actually decent considering the composition of the scent and the reputation of the house having mediocre longevity. It's a moderately projecting fragrance with around 6-7 hours of longevity on skin. Judging from previous reviews, skin chemistry plays a major role in the performance of this scent. This is my favourite fragrance from the Royal Exclusives collection. Quite possibly my favourite Creed alongside Royal Mayfair. Would be perfect for summer! There's not much to dislike about Creed's Original Cologne AKA Pure White, which is a harmonious blend of citrus and softer notes. The grapefruit is the main player but but bergamot and lemon are also detectable, with the musk and ambergris creating a more moderate base. It's slightly sweet, as well, but I can't really assign the sweetness to a note. Excellently balanced, it leans away from the soapy cologne and more toward a semi-gourmandy cologne, as most of the listed notes are food notes, and it is, on the whole, citrusy and sweet. Original Cologne is a light, clean cologne that certainly leans toward warm weather use but is sophisticated enough to be used year round and in a variety of situations (both work and casual). This reminds me of C.O. Bigelow's Elixir White due to the strength of the grapefruit at the top of the fragrance and truly remaining dominant through its life. Projection and longevity are consistent with EDTs, not the usual Creed millesimes/EDPs, but this is expected with a fragrance called a cologne. On that point, the main aspect I dislike is the price ($235 for 30ml, $710 for 250ml), as it's difficult to justify a higher-than-average Creed cost for weaker-than-average juice. If money is no object, this should be a must-have cologne for part of the collection. 7 out of 10

I received a sample of this with some recent purchases, as it was recommended by the seller. This is an unbelievably clean fragrance. NUCLEAR sillage if you spray too much, and it performs very well, all day long. I really can't singly describe any notes to be honest, it's such a well-blended scent. I can only describe it as what I feel to be the smell of very luxurious linen soap. The smell of $5,000/night sheets and pillows. Leaning toward feminine in my opinion, but after an hour or two it's really a clean unisex feel. I was really surprised by this. I hadn't read much about this scent; it was among the few Creeds that I dismissed as not having any interest in trying, but I am glad I did. It smells fabulous on both myself and my wife; I would say it smells better on her initially, but the drydown is better on me. For the price, I couldn't begin to contemplate a purchase, but this atomizer should last me a while.

a very nice cologne, neroli is noticeable the first minutes, a sharp green/floral. Then the pear slowly crawls into the composition. But it's not the typical sweet, syrupy and heavy pear. This one is like the real fruit. And I think that note is what sets apart pure White Cologne from other traditional colognes. I tested on me but I also give a sample to my brother, first he said he smelled nice. After 5 minutes he said: wow, this really smells good! The price point makes it a luxury item, and not everybody can spend $545 on a 75ml perfume. But you can find samples for $12 or less. Luckyscent have right now a Royal Exclusives samples (5) for $30. And in general Creed fragrances have good longevity, so a sample might last you a while,

Received a sample of Pure White from Creed on a recent trip to Paris. The opening is quite lovely with a citrus that liens on Bergamot. I detected the pear right away. My first thought after the initial opening was clean laundry. It is the only cologne I've smelled that I detected Rice as an accord. This is probably that starchy smell that makes me think of a freshly starched and ironed shirt. It is a lovely smell, but projection isn't great. At this price, I would expect it to project at least a couple of feet. But if you want a more intimate summer fragrance, this might be your jam. The musk and ambergris are very subtle. Smell 5/5 Projection 2/5 Longevity 4/5

What a beautiful cologne type fragrance done in a traditional manner with the added notes of pear & rice. I do get the pear which smooths out this fragrance & the rice note is there which gives this fragrance that IT factor & sets it apart from others in this type. One would be pressed to find a more suited, unique fragrance of this type that gives off a more unique & interesting ensemble. I salute Creed for this fragrance as everything you wear does not need to shout HEY I AM HERE! Longevity seems to be about 5 hours or so on me, projects arms length for a while. Check it out.

This cologne opens with an amiable citrus melange of bergamot, grapefruit, and lemon, mixed with a very lithe touch of pear. Stays close to the skin and is not offensive. After 30 minutes or so, all that remains is the paleness of galbanum (also very powdery), and that subtle pear note for sweetness. It then fades into simple white musk. In my humble opinion, for this cologne fragrance there's absolutely no reason to buy this considering the cost and really what you get. Sorry, nothing special...
