This is really nice smelling- woody smell in the opening, but strong tuberose after 30min/1hr mark. Not sure why 86% of the reviewers as of 9/20/2025 said that this is a masculine smell... Sure, I get that the opening does smell masculine, but are you really going to rate a cologne based on the 30-minute opening as opposed to the hours of smell afterwards? lol.. my mom really loves this though. I do quite like it too, but for a women

I love this fragrance! Definitely not blind but safe at all but it has such a unique character. It’s a very fresh cooling mature scent. The rose and woody notes are very prominent as well but that’s what makes it different from other freshies. Every time I wear it I can’t stop smelling it, it’s very addictive. If I had to describe this fragrance in a coupe words, I would call it a mature, luxury smelling freshie.

Royal Mayfair 2024, is such a refreshing and calming scent. It is unique but very easy to wear. This is very special and signature scent worthy. Appropriate sillage and longevity, smell nice from morning till late afternoon. Unisex leaning masculine, quiet luxury and meditative scent. Try this if you are tired of very sweet gourmand fragrances trend.

Can’t wait to smell this. I was really bummed when they discontinued RM. Thankfully I was able to scoop up several 120ml bottles at around $200 bucks a pop. If this is as good as the original I’m beyond stoked 🤞

This scent plays a bit. Its traditional slightly medicinal opening sees the eucalyptus fade after 10-20 min letting the bitter orange and bergamot play a bit more . A few hours in a mash up of the all the note table that’s been working away after the first 30 minutes (mostly noticeable light white florals) starts to peel away leaving a slightly green bergamot on a dirty woody musk - mostly nose close to skin. I quite like it as it has for part of the initial journey a quite elegant regal presentation as per the original and actually with out a peer that I can think of. My complaint is that whilst acceptable longevity of approximately 5-7 hours its performance is not commensurate with the price. The scent balloon is ok but again not commensurate with cost. Also somewhat irksome is the fact that despite its appeal in its uniqueness the majority of the later journey is almost representative of a mediocre bergamot scent which I have plenty of. So, this is one where if a had plenty of extra money I would likely by a bottle and regularly use it but otherwise I’m happy to pass...

Definitely not a safe blind buy. Opens with an uncompromising blast of something akin to camphorous mothballs, before settling into a loud, pungent floral bouquet that absolutely wafts around like the scent of unbridled inherited wealth. Quality is undeniably high, and some will undoubtedly love it as the profile is quite unique, but beware - it’s unique for a reason. This is not a straightforward crowd-pleaser. Proceed with caution unless your style can handle the aromatic equivalent of aggressively shaking your family crest in strangers' faces.

Not particularly long lasting, but projects well for first 30-50 mins. I was suggested to try this when thinking about going to a wedding aboard in the summer (south of Portugal). I like the initial blast and smell, then I go anosmic to it. Nobody around me has mentioned anything without prompting, when prompted I have been told when they lean in people can smell it, but it's not a projecting beast in general, and skin scent for majority of the time. I tend to spray away (behind ears, back of neck/ head). This means I get wafts of scents one might otherwise become anosmic to. In this instance, I can't say it makes much different spraying away or spraying front/ clothes, both of which I have tried. Scent wise it is very floral, with the eucalyptus being nice and bright at the start of the fragrance. It then dries down to a clean floral smell.

This now smells completely synthetic, unlike before, when the gin and citrus practically sang off the skin with fizz and a natural, vibrant character. It now comes across as dirtier and more industrial, and it lasts only about two hours before it has completely disappeared from the skin. The 2015 and 2016 batches were worth every penny, but nowadays you're getting designer-level quality.

Was intrigued due to the tuberose in a men's fragrance but that eucalyptus took over WAY too much it smells like toothpaste. Absolutely not comparable to carnal flower, that was a work of art. This one is just not worth it.

I just picked up the new Royal Mayfair this evening. I happen to stop into my nearest Creed Boutique at Holt Renfrew and today apparently was the day that they had Royal Mayfair available. I got talking to the SA who was very thorough with me and I originally was coming in to maybe buy either Aventus Cologne or Viking Cologne. I told him my absolute favourite was Royal Mayfair; and it was like magic; tucked away behind the counter there it was in all its glory. For those of you who know me, Royal Mayfair is my signature scent and my favourite fragrance ever! I do own a 120ml bottle from 2015, and a 50ml travel atomizer (also from 2015). So he was asking if I got the email regarding this being available only today, and I was like, no. So as soon as I smelt it, I did not hesitate to buy it! This is probably my most expensive bottle to date. It is my first 100ml bottle from Creed from the newer bottle style. To the scent, in comparison to the older Royal Mayfair; this is a pleasant return, but also, this is not a rehash of the original. Apparently this newer Royal Mayfair comes with a twist, and might I add that the twist is very much deserved. Off the top you get that eucalyptus, but it’s toned down; not as moth ball like and not as sharp. It blends beautifully with these white florals which turn this into something very sexy! The musks as well come into play and what you have to me, is the epitome of a gentlemen’s scent! Worth every penny! 12/10

It happened to myself that i found this addictive while still being highly polarizing. Couldn't stop smelling it, even if i didn't know if i liked it or not. If we talk Creed, Aventus is quite mainstream, yet a few batches come across polarizing due to having brutal smoke notes and such. GIT goes a step further, a grass - forward accord which sometimes i find cloying and an 80's powerhouse aura mixed and becoming a signature, and i gotta say i enjoy much more other parfums than GIT. Then comes this, Royal Mayfair. Out of everything i've sampled by Creed, (Also Millesime Imperial, Royal Water, Centaurus, Delphinus, Aventus, GIT, SMW and stuff) this is the hardest to like and enjoy, much like a heavily peated scotch or an apparently overhopped IPA for a newbie. Anyway: On me, the opening is heavily indolic and gives me an idea of smoke, like cigarette smoke in a hotel or stuff. (Though not to the extent of Centaurus) Present camphorous and the eucalyptus bouquet. Very strange opening, frankly, bitter, almost. I don't get the citruses at all. But the drydown is amazing! White floral with white musk, the warm cedarwood and i note a slight ambre / vanille. Delightful. I think i gotta get a few samples! I also get a bit of the rose but a white rose, not red rose by any means. Jasmine, tuberose, et cetera. It seems heavily masculine - forward to me. Wouldn't recommend it AT ALL to women.

Fermented fruits & floral... I used to loath Creed because of the overhyped & milked up "Aventus", but once "Centaurus", & "Delphinus" blends which obviously not a mass pleasing blend i decided to recheck their blends again! Cause those 2 blends are overwhelmingly beautiful but viciously overpriced! Royal Mayfair is another gem with that fermented fruitti citrusy floral blend that i can sense quite an animalic harmony that defines one's character through mysterious hype! The jasmines, dirty bitter moist rose, luscious eucalyptus, wet greeny tuberose are blended in balanced amount that make you unable to define each note separately or even define if there were any! I can't deny sometime i sense insecticide somehow but in an interesting insatiable way. This blend is for those who loves a different kind of sophistication! not for those who adores classic blends. Beautiful but still WAY overpriced.

I have to say, I am completely wowed that they are bringing this one back! I will definitely be picking this one up! I am a huge Royal Mayfair fan, and I own 2 bottles of the original. I would love to smell Windsor, but I’m doubtful of that. I’m really curious how they did this one with the added woody notes. I will say though; that the bottle does look a bit odd. The label just looks out of place and plain looking. Regardless, this will be in my collection for sure, and I am just glad Creed has brought this one back! I will update once I’ve smelt this!

First thoughts on the new 2024 version - The tuberose is amped up, the eucalyptus is more realistic and less "mothball-y". I also think replacing the lime/gin with bitter orange and bergamot brightens it up. Overall, an improvement over the last version, yet still close to it. Absolutely beautiful. The bottle is nice, and I love the teal color, though the previous version had a felted texture that seemed more luxe. At this price, I don't think a fancy label is too much to ask for, but not a big deal.

Just got an email saying they’re bring this back and its available online. I’m excited to get my nose on this. Although with the note change I’m not sure it will be a home run like the original Mayfair. Don’t know how they could have made it better; I stocked up after it was valued. The bottle design could have been better. Seems a touch off. Anyways.. will be looking forward to trying it!

Beautiful fragrance with great performance, addictive smell, this is what Creed used to be, I can’t understand why they can’t craft Aventus the way they used to if they can make this last hours and project like hell then why can’t they do the same with their best seller, if they went back and made Aventus the same way to what it used to be it’d be the greatest fragrance of all time

Just amazing. Addictive, relaxing scent, the silage is beautiful, the journey is excellently created, masterfully blended. It’s very different to any of Creeds other offerings but is somehow provides a comfort also. Non offensive but very much present, it reminds of walking into a high end spa house, of the likes you’d expect to find in a Mayfair London.

So hyped!!! I always thought the original smelled incredibly outdated but had potential to be something great. It definitely smelled luxurious though. This could be a modernized version and a potential masterpiece. Cannot wait to smell it

Am I the only who doesn't mind the bottle changes? The shape is the same. I like the colors on this more than the OG. Looks more sleek and modern which is probably what Creed is going for.
