Many people mention how this fragrance is more suited for an older person. I can see where they’re coming from, but I’m grateful I didn’t let that put me off from trying it. I exhausted a 5 mL decant after perhaps three weeks, and repurchased immediately after. As a 22 year old guy going to uni, this has been my signature fragrance ever since I got it. Note that I do lean towards the classic side when it comes to dressing, and so that might make Royal Mayfair less out of place for me. To my nose, Royal Mayfair is mainly a rose and eucalyptus affair. Eucalyptus is very noticeable during the opening, but then it fades into the background as the day goes. Rose, on the other hand, is a constant and remains until the very end, which surprisingly takes quite long to reach. It’s a watery and somewhat powdery type of rose, very elegant and sober. Typically I’m not that much into rose as it often comes across either metallic or even sort of uric to me, but this one has neither of those qualities. The other notes are not as individually discernible to me, but I do get hints of citrus and woods. It’s a very unique blend which would definitely make you stand out from the crowd. Notes aside, I think Royal Mayfair is a highly transformative and transportive scent. It takes my mind to a calm and confident space, yet it also brings a sense of melancholy. Sorta like a slow waltz or an adagio. People (peers that are the same age as I) also react positively to it, which I didn’t anticipate. I went to a daytime function on my campus yesterday where everyone dressed formally, a suit and tie for the guys. I wore this then and one of my friends remarked that he hadn’t smelled this one on me before. Two other friends joined in on the conversation and they all sprayed a few sprays from the decant I brought. They unanimously liked it. I think this is proof that given the right circumstances and attitude, a young guy in his early 20’s can absolutely pull Royal Mayfair off. It’s even more versatile than you probably think, not just limited to formal events. I had it on when I was wearing a white t-shirt and blue jeans at a family gathering and the way the smell was perceived changed to suit the occasion. My verdict is that this is a very sophisticated and highly unique scent. Longevity is surprisingly good, lasting an 8 hour day of classes, or perhaps longer. Projection and sillage is moderate to low, but it is not at all a skin-scent. You definitely detect it throughout the day. Others detect and like it too based on my anecdote. This is another Creed fragrance that I’d like to get a full bottle of, along with Royal Oud which is my favourite and Green Irish Tweed. It’s a love at first sniff, so much so that it made me write my first ever review on Fragrantica. I don’t know if it has actually been discontinued as some of you mentioned. I hope it hasn’t. I’m also curious about Windsor, its predecessor, although I strongly feel that it’s gonna be impossible to get a decant here in Indonesia. I think it’s highly recommended to try Royal Mayfair out, at least with a decant. You might be as pleasantly surprised as I was.

One of the less popular Creed fragrances and I’m not surprised. Although I absolutely love this fragrance, it’s not one that appeals to the masses or could be worn by just anyone. It’s beautiful and masterful but who it’ll work for is very specific. It’s not a fragrance you wear for compliments and attention but more out of an appreciation for the art of perfume creation. Reviews of it having a less than pleasant opening are true. Upon opening you get this mentholated medicine cabinet aroma but give it about 10 minutes and the beauty unfolds. After the opening you’ll be left with a sparkling effervescent fruity woody rose aroma which I find AMAZING. The rose is the main player and the notes in the opening and the base all support it. The orange gives the rose a citrusy sweetness, the gin gives the rose a boozy warmth, the lime freshens and brightens the rose, the pine offers a fresh green aspect (almost to mimic the stem and leaves of the rose) the cedar gives the fragrance depth and the eucalyptus gives the rose a magical sparkling quality that’s amazingly beautiful. I can literally identify every note listed in this fragrance but that does not take away from the smoothness and immaculate blend of the composition. The overall composition is to me a beautifully animated fantasy rose that is subdued but vibrant and genderless. Pure art. It performs great as well, I get about 3-4 hours of projection and about 6-8 hours of longevity. I wear it all year long but in warmer climates it’s more green Vs in cooler climates it’s a little more citrusy sweet. I really hate that this doesn’t get the appreciation it deserves as this composition is like wearing art. I sometimes fear that because it’s not as popular as the house’s other offerings that it’ll be vaulted which would definitely be upsetting to me because I love and adore this fragrance. I 100% recommend but I would suggest you try before you buy as this fragrance will not be for everyone despite its remarkable beauty.

Royal Mayfair is thus far my favorite Creed. But the funny part, is that I have yet to own this. I have been living off a few samples generously given to me by my Holt Renfrew sales associate. This Creed is simply a masterpiece. That sharp gin and eucalyptus opening, followed by some Duke of Windsor rose lime, and some Canadian Cedar in the dry down. I have become obsessed over this fragrance for months and have always wondered why I have not obtained this gem. Perhaps price? It is pricey juice, just like Royal Oud, but one who adores this fragrance will enjoy and admire the true beauty of this scent. Wear it formal, wear it casual. Wear it when your moody and need some comfort (It works for me. It is kind of like a safety blanket) One who appreciates the finer things in life (if you own a Creed you will know the feeling) will appreciate Royal Mayfair. I cannot even think of a clone or anything similar to this. Truly original and something that is relatively new, with the exception of the renaming of the original, Windsor. One of the only Creed's I find has great and excellent longevity. This beats Aventus by a long run. If this is what a vaulted Creed fragrance smells like, then I am tempted to break into that vault and see what else has been stashed away. Who's with me? I am going to give this a 11/10. I think for me, 2018 will be the year I obtain this gem. I feel all the build up, the occasional scarce wearings, all the reviews I've seen and read, have been well worth it. Royal Mayfair is a Creed you need to be patient with. For me it was love at first sniff, and it would only be a matter of time until I get the chance to own this one. I could of bought this one awhile ago, but sometimes timing is everything and whilst this is one of the more expensive ones, a year has been enough time for me to wait and save up to want this one. The only hard part is picking what size bottle I want.

This has become one of my top 3 fragrances. When I first sampled this I thought it was the worst Creed ever. That harsh mothball opening people get, smelled like burning plastic for me, the whole vib because of that strange opening made me think synthetic and unpleasant... Later on, I had ordered a sample of Royal Oud and got Royal Mayfair by mystake, and so glad I did, because it started to grow on me.. In general the two main players are eucalyptus and a fresh green rose. The eucalyptus is very beautiful and natural mixed with some pine. The eucalyptus is what some call a mothball type of scent, but once you get to know it, and when the bottle has had time to breath, allthough strong green, and camphorous, it becomes very enjoyable, and the green natural rose and pine blends beautifully with the eucalyptus, softening the ruff edges, and producing a smooth and rich accord. The eucalyptus makes the rose masculine, allthough I could see a mature woman enjoying this who likes rose and herbal green scents. The blending of these contrasting notes are what make RM a masterpiece, and my favorite Creed. I never believed a bottle of fragrance needed to breath. I thought how does air get into the bottle when it only sprays out ? But the eucalyptus note does soften up after a week or two, using it a few times. This is considered a sporty fragrance, and I agree, but my most classy sport fragrance for sure. It is very versatile and has the best longevity of the 10 or so Creed's I have tried. It is a rich, green, rose fragrance, that may be best in cooler seasons, yet fresh enough for cooler Summer days, seasonally very versatile. Give this a try, and give it some time if you don't get it at first. It is a mature fragrance, so it won't be for everyone. I have found good deals on 2.5 ounce testers on eBay for under $100. Before we start, in my review i refer to the "original" Mayfair, and not any of the current formulations. Royal Mayfair was my very first encounter with Niche perfume. My "One Way Ticket" to the world of high class, naturally smelling perfumes. I came to Harry Rosen to check out TF, but SA asked me if i ever heard about Creed?.... Nope. Never heard. She pulled out GIT - was ok, Royal waters of all sort - nope. And then she got Mayfair out. Upon first sniff, i dint get it. Smells like barbershop scent, basic, quality but basic. She said - have a sample. Well, cant say no to free :) And i left. Some time later, before Christmas party, i got it on my skin, small dabs on pulse points. And then it hit me. This is the essence of man! Nothing else before it, or, as a matter of fact after, and till today beats that. If i could have only 1 fragrance - that would be Royal Mayfair. Notes wise, structure was true to what it shows here: Crisp Gin, Pine, and Citrus. Eucalyptus was poking through, but it was giving a cooling/warming effect, and never at the horrid level of todays version. Rose, rose was shining through after first hour or hour and a half, and heart of this gem was beautiful going to the very base of woods and Eucalyptus. All that on top of Creeds signature accord. Longevity, 10 hours plus. Back then it was absolutely amazing to me. Silage, seems like arms length. Masterpiece and I bow before creator for this one. It has been 3 years since i last smelled it, but i can still remember it like it was yesterday. Due to my foolishness, i didn't purchase it when i needed to, and by the time i made up my mind, it was reformulated to what it is now. An eucalyptus bomb with a weak flowery heart that distantly reminds me of lilac, but not a beautiful flower that it is , but an ugly cousin.

I always wanted to try this upon hearing its note composition, however I couldn’t get a decant nor did creed have any tester in their shop for this fragrance, fast forward I see it is on offer so I think whatever I’m buying it without smelling it first. And so it arrives; love at first sniff. This is the purest exhibition of creeds master perfumery, it’s without a doubt their most distinguished and supreme scent, truly worthy of is regal title. It is chiefly eucalyptus, pine, rose, gin and lime. The pine in this is not green, but still rather piney, it’s very masterfully blended to the point it’s an accessory to the rose note, all gorgeously ensconced in eucalyptus with a hint of lime and a gorgeous near smouldering edge of gin which gives the whole fragrance a sort of transcendental feel. The scent itself leaves a gorgeous trail and could be likened to a tea-esque scent in its light airy-ness . Despite this it is a dashingly profound and rich scent which gives the wearer an aura of effortlessness and confidence. It is extremely polarising, it gives a feeling of warmth and comfort from its über clean almost sterile and medicinal (in a good way) feel, all the while smelling cold, pretentious and reticent. This scent transitions into a rose-eucalyptus scent retaining its aura throughout with an extremely slight, almost unnoticeable orange tinge. This is the only scent I want gallons upon gallons of, I already have a 50 and 100ml, looking for 120 and 250 perhaps even 500ml. It oozes class, effortlessness and confidence. As for reactions, so far I’ve only gotten good reactions from people. This is the only fragrance I would rate a 10/10

PianoDan: Yes, the current formulation is still great. I think this is a masterpiece of natural notes perfumery. I have tried Roja E, and Xerjoff Naxos recently, the most expensive niche brands, and they are full of aldehydes and synthetics. Mayfair is masterpiece the old fashioned way, creativity. The eucalyptus was so sharp in the first formulation, I hated it at first, so medecinal; but then aquired a taste for it. I'm not sure if they softened it up in 2017 or 2018... I just bought a 4.0 ounce backup bottle from eBay for $125. It is authentic, but it is slightly different than my older bottles. This is why I am writing a second mini review, just to mention a couple slight differences. The eucalyptus note has been toned down. So the pine and rose accord are a bit more prominent. This makes it slightly darker, and less fresh. The eucalyptus that I love is still there, and very noticable. The longevity is slightly less than older formulations, but performance is still very solid. From the reviews some people love this, as it's my signature fragrance now for Spring time, French Lover for Fall and Winter. Others, or many others don't care for it, many complaining of the sharp medecinal eucalyptus note. That's why I think they toned it down in the new batches, maybe from 2016. So some will like the new formulation better. I however like the sharp eucalyptus blast in the opening of the older batches. The eucalyptus makes it very fresh for me, so it's a substantial fragrance that can be enjoyed in the warmer weather. With the prices comming down from the on line stores like fragrancenet, and eBay, I can use it more often.

🥂🌹Royal Mayfair by Creed 🌹🥂 The most sophisticated duo in my collection.. The only Creed I currently have and wouldn't mind getting a few more bottles of... Need backups... My collection is up for bartering 😎 TIA.. True to the sheer upscaleness of the eponymous London district dotted with elegant townhouses and haute couture on Saville Row, Burlington Arcade and Bond Street, this fragrance attests to the imagery what the phrase "Posh British" conjures up in mind. "a rose, by any other word would smell as sweet", but alas, poor Juliet never got to smell it in Royal Mayfair. The same rose in this fragrance undergoes a transformation like Eliza Doolittle in GB Shaw's Pygmalion, from a Cockney flower girl into "My Fair Lady", accompanied by the Professor Higgins-esque notes of pine, eucalyptus and aromatic gin. These trio, as out of place they might seem, assist the central rose in attaining her highest form of sophistication, just like in the play. Sprayed on a blotter, under the veneer of all these refinement, the central rose feels somewhat lonely, somewhat alone, very much like our protagonist in the play. Only when you spray on yourself, do you realize that she was waiting for you to take her into your arms, completing the entire arc. "Elegance is the only beauty that never fades." , said Hepburn. Like true elegance, Royal Mayfair will ensure that you don't too. British Sophistication #in_a_bottle.

Wearing this today, not sure how I haven’t reviewed this one yet. Got a while back and thought it was weird as hell at first, but then kept coming back to it to smell it. Didn’t actually wear it out for a while, just sprayed an arm from time to time and then I just one day ended up loving it. It’s so unique, and just smells so nice and natural. Mine lasts quite a while. It’s a 75 ml and at the time I didn’t know what I had, with Creed years etc, but ended up being an older vintage one. I verified it was real etc, and was so happy I ended up with this gem at such a good price, it’s so underrated for a Creed. The note combination listed doesn’t really do the description much justice. For example, I don’t get “real” eucalyptus at all, though some say they do. I love eucalyptus and it just does not have that smell to me. I assume it’s because of the note combo, and maybe people pick out that one note and decide they don’t like eucalyptus fragrances because that’s one thing in it, but who knows. I get more of a tobacco vibe, even though it doesn’t smell like tobacco it just has the same type of feel to me, with a fresh natural aspect. I don’t get a strong single note of any one listed really, just a good, unique blend of them all together. To me it leans masculine, but like a gentle masculine if that makes any sense. Very refined feel to it. Very glad to have this one!

A proper British scent from a house that claims an English heritage. I really like Royal Mayfair. This is a great example of how a skilled perfumer can make a fresh scent without falling back on the blue/freshie cliches. The fragrance opens with a camphorous punch of minty eucalyptus overlaying some lime and aromatics, which include a touch of juniper, hence the "gin" accord in the notes pyramid. The mid note is a dry, greenish, rose and it is a wonderful example of how rose can work marvelously in a masculine fragrance. The base is the house amber (actually a high-end version of ambroxan, I suspect) with a little musk and some cedar in the very deep dry down. The eucalyptus periodically reemerges throughout the fragrance progression, keeping things interestingly lively. This fragrance is bright, refreshing and gentlemanly. I cannot see younger folks liking it much, but the 35+ crowd will find a great deal to enjoy in Royal Mayfair. Longevity is good and projection moderate throughout the life of Royal Mayfair. Avoid over application, as this scent can become rather overwhelming for the wearer if oversprayed. Because it is one of the less popular Creed scents, this one often turns up at deep discounts on the discounter sites. So keep an eye out for bargains and look for an opportunity to try this fragrance. For me, it is full bottle worthy and recommended.

Having initially smelled this, I quickly dismissed it. I disliked the harsh, medicinal opening and didn't think to revisit it. Recently, I decided to give it another go. I'm very glad I did. This is a stunner. The opening is very spicy-medicinal and initially smells like an oriental ointment. As I started to get used to the fragrance, I started being able to isolate the gin, orange, pine and lime notes. A concoction. I don't find this super nice, but it's very pleasant. Then, the progression is beautiful. The medicinal aspect starts to withdraw and out come the zesty citruses and sparkling woods. The tiniest hint of sweetness is added by gorgeous rose accord. Eventually, this settles as a beautifully fresh, tenacious and very refined citrus fragrance. In this dry-down phase, it easily beats some of the best-regarded citruses (Nio, Acqua Viva etc) to my nose. I have never had my opinion changed on a fragrance as much as with this smooth scent. It can be worn in all seasons and occasions, but is very refined so it would fit perfectly in a formal situation. Performance is good, but could be better. Solid projection for around 5 hours with 8 hour longevity. This is quickly becoming one of my favourite fragrances.

My favourite of the Creeds, indeed, it is a favourite of all perfumes I have sampled. I finally own it and don't know what kept me so long from making the purchase. A perverse self-enforced temptation perhaps. I love the medicinal opening. It is so natural and invigorating, almost like some incredible aromatherapy spa treatment. The hefty price tag is justified for such high-quality ingredients. It truly is therapeutic. It lifts my mood instantly and gives me a calm mind and great self confidence. It is the perfect scent to spritz at work, it cools and refreshes me when I'm hot and sweaty, it warms and comforts me when I'm cold and stressed. Longevity is good but sillage is moderate, it becomes a skin scent rather quickly, but what a beautiful skin scent! I spray some on my shirt sleeve and sniff it absentmindedly all day long. I think this is one of those perfumes that is worth investing in a huge bottle so that you can decant it into an atomiser and spritz yourself throughout the day with utter carefree abandon. People talk about price, but as a helpless fume junky, price is the least concern. I’d gladly give up five or more bottles from my collection for just one of Royal Mayfair. I can’t get enough of it.

Don’t judge Royal Mayfair by the harsh opening. If you don’t like the mothball note, don’t worry because it will dissipate in 10 minutes. The drydown reveals a sparkling lime and orange citrus top infused with pine and a subtle hint of rose. The eucalyptus in the base is what provides the long-lasting effervescence that makes Royal Mayfair reminiscent of spruce beer. Less is more with this one, and placement matters too because the first 5-10 minutes can be rough if you don’t like the initial camphor. I get a beautiful result with one half-spray on the back of my neck. Another tip: don’t sniff it up close after spraying or sniff the atomizer, or else your sinuses will feel frosty for a while. Royal Mayfair is highly susceptible to weather variations. In the summer, the pine dominates. In the fall, you’ll be astonished by how it transforms into a rich rose scent. In the winter, it changes again into a lemon and orange citrus-pine scent with near-aquatic features. I find that these different personalities also manifest themselves at different times of day depending on where you are and how many hours have passed. This is a masterpiece of kaleidoscopic complexity.

This is getting confusing. Creed’s UK site lists a different set of notes, in line with Fragrantica’s, compared to those described in reviews below presumably from different Creed sites. So check which version your local supplier is using. I’m definitely sniffing the aromatic eucalyptus-conifer-rose-lime version. No trace of jasmine. Very bright, clean and fresh. Not my usual thing but I’m enjoying it this sunny spring morning. I could be tipped over the buying threshold. I'm struggling to find much of the rose or lime that first charmed me. All I seem to have now is eucalyptus-conifer. Still fresh, and definitely not the white floral others mention, but a little throat-catching and synthetic. I'm having to layer my own rose. And the Creed UK site has been updated to show the rose-less jasmine version of Royal Mayfair in the note breakdown, so I guess the original is no more. My first Creed and probably my last

My lone Creed in my collection (I had several in my past which I hadn't replenished), Royal Mayfair is a true stand out in the controversial house as one that reflects much of its fabled aristocratic narrative and aesthetic, since most others that were had been discontinued several years ago (the celebrated grey caps). This is what we would call a "noble" fragrance, it feels like a garden party where croquet is played and gin gimlets are served. Eucalyptus trees surround a courtyard and their balm is camphorous, while playing cards are painting white roses red. Yes, Virginia, there is tuberose in Royal Mayfair, which blends seamlessly with the eucalyptus as both have that mentholated flourish. Naturally I revel in that, I love a spoonful of medicine to make the sugar go down. It dries down to lingering eucalyptus, cedar, and that signature Cetalox (that's a fancier, nicer Ambroxan, folks). I absolutely love wearing this, even if I always find myself underdressed and without a proper occasion for it. Ah well, there's always one's imagination to flex so that it doesn't atrophy. Perhaps I will be the March Hare today.

Such an elegant fragrance that would make for an upper class signature scent for a man or a woman. Doesn't lean one way more than the other, straight up the middle. What I get is that sharp pine, eucalyptus, and citrus opening that lasts a minute then the rose and some woods come in to play. About 15 min in the pine, eucalyptus and citrus play the very back to make way for the elevation of the rose and woods. It's actually like smelling the whole rose bush, soil and all, but a clean damp soil. Very suttle. It's last that way for the rest of the time, which ends up being about 9 hrs on skin and like 24 on clothes. Very good longevity but projection is mild, sits about 3 inches off the skin. Just perfect in my opinion. A very luxurious comforting scent. Best masculine rose dominant scent that I've tried thus far, because it never gets to rosy, or powdery like Lyric Man. It's very expensive but can be had at a heavy discount. Very much bottle worthy imo. A 10/10 fragrance for me!

An original floral eucalyptus. Royal Mayfair is the original cousin of Green Irish Tweed. They are both fresh and green but while GIT is rather classic and safe, RM is more daring and adventurous. Don't be afraid, RM is still as mass appealing as Creed can be. For me the rather exotic eucalyptus note is present during the whole lifetime. During the first seconds of the opening it gives a gin vibe due to the alcohol present in the fragrance. It then takes around 2 or 3h on my skin to let the flowers develop. At this point, the floral note become the most prominent but for a short time only, then it disappears to let eucalyptus and cedar end the story. Performance is above average which is great for a freshie, it lasts all day on my skin. I find it very versatile, quite masculine and one of the most original from Creed. If GIT was akin the country mouse living in a nice and safe green Irish field, RM would be the town mouse having an original and exotic life in Mayfair.

I love nearly all Creed fragrances (except Himalaya) and think Royal Water and Royal OUD should last longer. So, I was expecting the worst from Royal Mayfair. I really like the opening. It's fresh, I'm not getting medicinal. From there it made its way through the Creed process and settled into one of the best rose scents I have smelled. I was starting to think the whole Royal line from Creed was their least imaginative scents but this Mayfair is great. There's a very nice middle section that brings in a cedar, wood similar to Royal OUD, it even has a sandy scent in there too. Very complex how this one evolves. I know what my wife is going to be buying me for my birthday! Oh and I got a solid 8 hours out of it, not a great projection scent but I'm married lol. We stop worrying about projection once we're married. It's nice to smell on yourself. I might have to give Royal Water and Royal OUD more tries after this.

One of the finest from Creed, if not the houses best. Unique, opulent, complex, rare. I’ve never smelled a fragrance like this and I think it’s difficult to describe the experience. Can be worn in every season as different parts come alive. However Spring and Summer will be best. In winter think of snow on a pine tree. It offers both a warming comfort but the sharp cool of ice. Can be both worn on female and male as the heart of what the fragrance is, simply exudes royalty and class. For men it will have a lightness which is grounded by cedar and still possess a spice. For women it will have a depth and root but still levitated by the rose. And with both the eucalyptus offers a warmth but cool breath of unique life. Absolute perfection. And completely understated class and originality. So sad this has been vaulted. Just purchased 3 so I’m set for my years ahead. Will grow old with this love.

Creed's best, yup I said it, I get that this is one big unpopular opinion. I think this is one of the classiest and most sophisticated scents out there. It's floral yet very masculine, something that not many scents can pull off. Everything smells so natural it's actually mind blowing to me. The eucalyptus gives it an edge that settles beautifully into a woody base. Altho not listed as a note, lily of the valley is very, very apparent to my nose and that's what makes the fragrance for me, I may be a little biased here cuz that's a smell that I grew up with and this replicates it perfectly. I feel like I have to say this but this is no blind buy. It's definitely not for everybody. But man I feel like if it hits you, it hits you hard, at least that's what it does to me. All in all, probably my favorite fresh fragrance, perfect for special occasions.

Amazing scent from Creed, and one of their most unique. I really liked this at first sniff, but thought it was feminine so I gave the sample to my girlfriend. After smelling it on her I realized that it actually leans masculine, so i tried wearing it myself and I fell in love. The fragrance opens up with an exotic medicinal eucalyptus and some natural smelling rose. It smells clean, but not in a soapy way. It’s more of a steam clean scent that comes off very refined, unique, and oddly soothing. This fragrance smells expensive. It smells like rare ingredients from a very old recipe, which makes this great for special occasions. I love wearing it in the spring, but its an all year fragrance for sure. It can be worn most places, but best for semi-formal to formal events since it is so unique. Performance is very solid! 9/10

A refined, harmonic, classic, slowly developing, masculine leaning fragrance. Opens as medicinal gardenia that slowly transitions into fragrant, clean, mildly boozy, floral greenery. Superbly balanced. Delectable eucalyptus and pine blend. Mixed citrus (orange and lime), rose and gin or champagne alternate and blend together flawlessly. There's a woody undertone that almost takes on the characteristics of a second skin. You rarely come across a blend like this. I have a backup bottle and I highly suggest you get one, too. A gentlemanly, multi-faceted scent that tells a different story during different seasons. Royal Mayfair may take some getting used to, but once you do, there's really nothing else like it. Forget paper, this composition must be tested on skin, and multiple times before you get what it's all about.

Creed Royal Mayfair (2009, re-issued 2015) - piney rose - A balance between fresh and dewy Roses combined with more traditional masculine elements. But this isn’t a dirty citrus or a traditional fougere. In fact, it checks the boxes on technical mastery and an interesting and beautiful top to drydown. Starts with fresh citrus meets Eucalyptus, Juniper berries and Pine needles. I personally enjoy Camphor and Gin-like accords in perfumery. This gives way to Rose, but meshes wonderfully with a Pine-Cedar structure that it morphs between floral, woody and aromatic aspects across the journey of the perfume. Surprisingly longer lasting given its structure, most probably the amber-musks used in the drydown to create lift and staying power. Yet, over-all doesn’t shout and delights the wearer throughout the day.

I ordered a decant of this and am currently wearing it. It is different from how I remember it. This decant (from S2C) shows heavy gin and rose. Not much else that I can detect easily. At 5 hours in, I can still smell it, but the sillage is definitely soft (which I like btw). Once completely dried down, it is a soft and soapy rose scent that is pleasant even if slightly more feminine than I would like. Overall, really a pretty nice scent, but I can't imagine me paying going rate for this. One thing that I like about this fragrance is that it is (so far) relatively unique and uncloned. Edit: I ordered a FB of this and it is slowly becoming one of my favorite fragrances. Perfect for warm fall days in TX with the rose and Gin note and I find it oddly excellent in more casual situations.

Some people complain about the slightly harsh eucalyptus opening of this fragrance. I love the opening, although it does get more balanced and well rounded as it dries down. I don’t think this is everyone’s taste to wear themselves. So not a blind buy. On the other hand I have received so many compliments from friends when I wear this one. More so than crowd pleasers since it is unique in its dna and what I would describe as a beautiful pretty scent! For some reason I love wearing this on an overcast/rainy day. It brightens things up for me. This is completely unisex and a real delight. I would definitely suggest that you get your nose on this and see if it is your taste as it is so beautiful (and one of the cheaper creeds at discounters. At least as of now)

It's coming into spring here in Southern Australia and this is perfect on a sunny day (the few of them we get at the moment). Absolutely love this and the eucalyptus gives me a very nostalgic feeling, I think of an old art teacher I had in primary school. Definitely a Unisex scent. This is my favourite Creed I own and have sampled. I rate it highly for it's uniqueness and how pleasant it is. It's not too sharp on my nose, but can see how people could feel that way if you're not used to eucalyptus. Please don't blind buy it for this reason :) Also performance is pretty good. I've gone 5 hours now and it's died down a little but my friend can smell it on me still. (this is excellent for a Creed btw) 9.9/10 it's gonna be a spring/summer regular for me.

Gorgeous, elegant, and timeless. Also timeless in how long it lasts! I've got a bottle from 2015 or 2016, and I really enjoy how classy this smells. It's a little floral to some people, but I think it smells more gin and cedar-y. I think there's no one who could smell this and not like it--very safe. I wear it to the office, but I'd be scared to be heavy-handed with it because it's quite strong. 9/10 for me; glad I purchased. Also, a lot more sophisticated than and underrated compared to Aventus, which I think is smooth and nice--but this is what someone who wants to be different and smell fancy should wear! Very fair prices available on eBay for this. Got my 4 oz for about $145, and I've seen cheaper. Incredible value, honestly.

It is so hard to review this. It smells like nothing else that I have ever tried. This is a Eucalyptus fragrance through and through. There are other smells that move in and out. Pine, Ceder, Gin, there is rose in here, but I really don't smell it. This does not last as well as I wish but that seems to be a trend with Creed lately. The beginning is harsh, no other way to describe it. Yes it smells like mothballs, funeral homes and old people but the dry down is beautiful. Green, woody, minty, just nice. This is one I continually find myself reaching for. Two 5ML decants gone, half way through a 15 ML and just ordered a 75 ML. Not sure what it is, but I need to keep smelling this.

This is from old school but classy. A beautiful bouquet of fresh roses, pines and citrus that slowly opens with the note of eucalyptus that floats endlessly. A mix of classic but elegant and timeless notes. A fluctuating trail that in part reminded me of my childhood, well-kept gardens and flowering buds of pittosporum. Here the dry rose is the key. I bet that with a common tonic-roses this decanter would end up in the trash. On my skin they enjoy the citrus fruits and improve with the passage of time. On clothes it stays for a long time. I find it perfect to wear during the day in the spring period. Bright, harmonious, outmoded and damn expensive. See you in the spring.

As a rose lover 🌹🌺❤️ I can tell you that the best rose perfume I have smelled in my entire life...I lost my expression! Don't judge the perfume by the first spray, wait a little while and you will smell a natural rose scent that you have never smelled before. As for me, I enjoy the scent from the first spray. The smell of somewhat earthy pine trees is followed by a party of natural roses with a touch of lemon that gives a sweet character to the perfume. Then the cedar comes at the end to enhance the elegance. If you are a fan of Dior Sauvage or other easy fragrances, I don’t recommend this perfume to you. Masterpiece ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

It opens with a woody accord reminiscent of eucalyptus and pine trees, and over time it turns into a structure in which more floral and jasmine is the leading role. The materials used make you feel from the beginning to the end that they are high quality. I think it is mass appealing, but the jasmine used may remind you of the spa salons. I love the opening, middle and end of the perfume. I've been looking for its bottle for 4 years, it's been 2 years since I finished its decant, but our longing is over. I consider myself lucky to have found 2015 batch bottle. I will use it from time to time to make myself happy.

Wow. This fragrance is spectacular. I don't want to like it because its too expensive. I was looking for barbershop-esque scents and someone put this on my radar. While I wouldn't place it in that frag realm, it's just wonderful for what it is (the notes listed are some of my favorites). It has a floral layer to it which, on paper, I would never go near. However, the Creed combination of the various notes has truly produced something unique and spectacular. I'm a fan. Having recently sampled Rose 31 by Le Labo, they smell very similar. UPDATE: Still one of my favorites.

An amazing scent. It's got a eucalyptus that really does punch you in the face upon the first spray, but after a good hour or so, it really dies down and melds with the rose and the pine. It leaves behind this wispy slightly old fashioned rose, but masculine. It's got great performance on me also. I think this is one of the best from Creed. In terms of batches, I'm wearing one of the modern batches and the performance is surprisingly good, so the points around performance being bad is particularly interesting. Will want to seek an older one and see whether I prefer it.

The only creed fragrance that survived from getting sold. It's not liked by many but to the right nose this is close to perfection, a rose for a man mixed with the dry, harsh notes in the opening with a little to nothing of the gin note that is there but mixes too well to overpower or simply shine with the other notes. And for a creed it has good longevity, a summer in Portofino in a shirt with a gold watch and the smell of sea. A rich memory depicted from the way this perfume smells. It's elegant, dry down is where it's at its best a bit too floral, a bit too good.

This is one of those that you have to let settle down past the opening and then it's heaven. (Sort of akin to Versace Dreamer and Caron Pour Un Homme). While living on the Southern California coast, one of my best olfactory memories was walking past the star jasmine and gardenia bushes at night picking up whiffs of the sublime white floral aromas of both, with the salty ocean air and subtle astringent eucalyptus trees and sage in the background. Was a very special time in my life full of possibilities and good times. A masterpiece of modern perfumery.

Love the rose here mixed with pine (I otherwise hate both notes elsewhere but here Creed nailed it). Very original creation, may smell weird at first to untrained noses. My favorite for winter and early spring. Not the greatest performer (lasts 6-7 hours tops on my skin) and projection is only good first 3-4 hours. Nevertheless, I always enjoy it and it instantly reminds me of smelling roses in pine forest :) Very royal smelling! Try it and take your time with it. Just like Bois du Portugal, the opening here is not the best part!

This is a very unique and regal smell! Warning (should be printed on the box!): first 15-20 min until complete dry down, it smells like your grandma medicine chest :) Mostly due to eucalyptus and gin notes, but then... it gets to this beautiful Windsor Roses and Scottish Pine smell, OMG!!! I say it is more for men than women (simply because it was made for Duke of Windsor), but women can pull this off on more formal occasions. A true niche fragrance like no other. Definitely try before you buy and keep in mind the opening!!!

This is incredible. I’m smelling it on my husband and it smells like the freshest most natural orange blossoms in a pine grove. I can’t understand how there are no white flowers listed? It’s pure class. I just love it. Edit: I’ve just discovered that there are batches of this that have an odd rubbery smell to them. Please don’t write this fragrance off for that.. it’s worth trying a different batch to experience this. Edit: thanks greenpepper for the info! I think you are right, there must be tuber “rose” in this!

Royal Mayfair is quite an original yet absolutely lovely woody floral fragrance from Creed. It's fresh, clean, green and camphoraceous with the best eucalyptus note I've found in a perfume so far. The opening is fairly sharp and coniferous, but the softness of the rose and the slight sweetness of the citruses bring an elegant balance to the composition. The long lasting drydown stays beautifully clean and smoothly woody with a hint of white flowers adding complexity. Masterpiece quality!

Every note and transition in Royal Mayfair is presented with subtlety and finesse. The opening gin-lime-pine accord, while fresh and invigorating, remains soft, yet provocative and interesting. The transition melts into a deep and natural rose. The eucalyptus note, rather than smelling medicinal, combines with the cedar in a woodsy, herbal accord. So smooth and artful is the blending and development that its aristocratic pedigree emerges as an aura more than a mere scent. It's exquisite.

A wonderful gourmet fragrance which leaves you wanting more. I absolutely love it! Reminds me of a delicate sweet dessert wine. This scent is Green, Floral and Aromatic and each ingredient comes through at different times and the wizzardy is how they all layer together seamlessly. For me what makes it stand out from other Creeds is that the base notes are light almost like what you would expect from top notes. So it leaves you feeling fresh to the end of the day. 5 stars!!

First impression, Strong. like unapologetically strong so i thought it was shit and thats it, but wait! It mellows down to an elegant scent that smells like a brand new luxurious white suede leather. First time I have smelled a perfume with a DNA like this. It's so elegant, I imagine this is the perfume of a visionary and billionaire inside his rolls royce phantom. If I will become a millionaire I would have this in my wardrobe.

This was the best blind buy I ever had. its elegant, gentlemanly, sophisticated .. all those positive adjectives! I will get another bottle just in case it disappears! Initial blast hits you with just enough eucalyptus (don't worry its not tiger balm), rose and pine mixed together. Eucalyptus subsides within minutes just giving dimension to rose and pine and it dries down to Cetalox which on skin lasts quite some time.

GedLive Thank you for the review! What year do you think your toned down bottle is from? I have a 2017 batch and it is still pretty heavy in the eucalyptus to my nose. Opening is that sharp eucalyptus dryness, not a jammy rose, light cedar and a bit of juniper effect. The dry-down is lovely with a bit of the orange/pine tree vibe, but still there is the bitter rose-petal/eucalyptus. I like this one year round!

This is slightly smoked spearmint on my skin to start with. I know it is a play on the eucalyptus for the most part. I also get gin, pine tree and cedar. To my nose eucalyptus is the most noticeable note. Overall a winner for the right price. Would I blind buy this? Yes, if you are into gentlemanly scents. This is not for the under 30 crowd IMO. That being said, it is a winner across the board. Enjoy!

A definite love at first sniff for me! Mesmerized by an initial bittersweet blend of honey and eucalyptus, then seduced by the appealing call of the citruses that make me recall a youthful memory of honeysuckle after a summer rain and the velvet petals of a purple rose in its bud, these are just a few images in a olfactory kaleidoscope that make me yearn to wear this scent again and again...

Gorgeous. Smells expensive. Warm opening. A gentle very mildly spicy warmth. I get the pine. There is a gentle eucalyptus too. Rose is lovely and soft. The projection is more intimate but length is excellent, over 8 hours for me. So very classy but not uptight. This is like a warm blanket, comforting but also confidence inspiring. The perfect compliment to Green Irish Tweed for Spring.

Fantastic combination of Creed with opening of eucalyptus, pine and rose, evolves little and goes towards a floral drying woody very comfortable to wear, it is a very fine fragrance, it has class. I get the feeling that the residual is a tremendous smell of the narcotic flower of ylang or a thin jasmine that surrounds you, daytime and very unisex at the same time. I loved it. Rating: 9
