Fight me on this! This version is better than the original. It lasts longer, performs slightly better, has a more coconutty/creamy tropical dry down, whilst maintaining the booziness of the original, and doesn't lose that coconut note as the coconut note is a heart note here and not a top note (as seen in the original 2007 version) 2. Does not at all vanish instantly as many people claim, and lasts a solid 5-6 hours, which isn't too spectacular but also isn't nearly as bad as many other Creed Fragrances for the same, if not higher prices (lasts longer than the original, which sadly has to be re-applied with how little it lasts) 3. Does not have the sour citrus notes that the original has, and is not so unnecessarily heavy on the dry booze/liquor the original has, yet still maintains an alluring boozy aura 4. Does not at all fade into a synthetic musk whatsoever, and I have no clue where this claim comes from; it maintains a fresh lime, creamy coconut, white floral, and tropical liquor spritz the whole time! 5. Fairly unisex profile and scent, which leans slightly masculine 6. In my opinion, along with EROLFA, Silver Mountain Water, and Aventus Cologne, Virgin Island Water weilds the Creed signature DNA to its finest and sharpest 7. Hands down, the freshest scent on the fragrance market, no competition comes close 8. Super addicting fragrance that is girlfriend approved, and both she and I are hooked! 9. This version of Virgin Island Water proves that all dupes of this fall so hilariously short 10. Super crowd pleasing, non-invasive, non-offensive, and not annoying or too loud 11. Versatile for vacations, dates, summer weather, and slightly breezy summer or spring weather, as well as fine occasions 12. EXTREMELY high-quality ingredients and formulation that are very apparent when you smell this fragrance 13. While very pricey, if I had to drop ludicrous amounts of money on a fragrance, it would be this one 14. The fresh, crisp, bright, and uplifting citrus notes are nearly eternal throughout this fragrance's life 15. Unlike the original, the "lime in the coconut" feeling and experience are here to stay! When sprayed correctly on heat points/spots (preferably on the shoulders and the back of the neck), the fragrance leaves a very sexy trail and gives people a good impression ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The Not So Beautiful Aspects of This Fragrance 1. Let's all say it in unison... this is SUPER EXPENSIVE and has an UNREASONABLE price for any fragrance, even this one 2. Not for any time of year except for mid-late spring and summer in the daytime only 3. For a fragrance that is hundreds of dollars, lasting 5-6 hours, and projecting only an arm's length in distance is quite pitiful 4. The Initial spray and dry down for many ends up being less unisex, and leaning more masculine (which is bad news for women wanting to wear this) 5. Initial spray may be too citrussy and alcoholically screechy for some 6. Not able to do refills on this bottle, and you basically have to go through hoops and perform surgery on the bottle to refill it - which may break or damage the atomizer/cap/spray/etc. 7. Sadly, the longevity and sillage are inconsistent on many people's skin types and more often than not, lean to lasting very poorly and projecting pathetically on people's skin (a shame for such a ludicrously priced fragrance) 8. If you preferred the ylang-ylang, sweet white rum/sugar cane, and beautifully floral hibiscus notes of the original Virgin Island Water, this version may disappoint you (I think it's stupid that they removed the hibiscus and sugar cane) 9. Sadly, toward the second half of this fragrance's life, the sillage and projection take a nosedive and make the fragrance more intimate 10. In summer and late spring weather that is cooler and even windy (breezy too, sadly), this fragrance's general performance/sillage takes quite a hit

I didn't know much about this brand before, and haven't had an opportunity to take a sniff until today, so my expectations about this brand and fragrance were basically at 0. This is the "grown up", much smoother, less screechy version of Bath and Bodyworks's Lime Coconut Verbena body spray (2007 version). Creed Virgin Island Waters is honestly one of the best "pina colada" scents that I have ever sniffed in my life. The tonka bean + white musk combo base has always been absolutely incredible on my skin (for completely unrelated fragrances), and this one is no exception. VIW comes off strong in the first 5-15 minutes with the lime, but then it calms down a bit and it feels like a warm, creamy tropical sunset paradise with sunshine shining on you. The lime opening fades away after about 1-2 hours, but then a mature, ripened pineapple and coconut smell takes over entirely for the next 3-6 hours. After 8 hours of wear, I can still smell it on my skin. However, it doesn't project that far after about 2-3 hours. This product definitely has some sillage within about 1-2 feet of me, for about ~2-3 hours. Then the sillage goes down to about 4-7 inches for hours 4-8. You know when you walk around for a bit, and then when you return to where you originally started, you can smell the path of the fragrance. I don't know why this was rated as a masculine fragrance by so many people. Was it because of the lime + bergamot opening? On my skin for most of the day (hours 2-8) it smelled extremely fresh, fairly sweet, feminine and sensual. Easily one of the most unisex fragrances around. I'm absolutely obsessed with it now and want a bottle for this summer. But does this smell $300-$500 good? Probably not. For that reason, I'll only buy small quantities when it is on sale only.

Virgin Island Water is genuinely beautiful. Fresh, tropical, refreshing, smooth, delicious, honestly just an all round pleasant fragrance. It smells like somebody turned a luxury beach holiday into a liquid. Lime, coconut and that breezy tropical freshness all blended together in a way that just smells happy. This is the sort of fragrance that makes you want to sit near the ocean with an overpriced drink while pretending your life is together. Unfortunately, absolutely none of that matters because the fragrance oils apparently evaporate somewhere between leaving the bottle and reaching your skin 🙄 I tried this in the shops earlier today and by the time I drove the hour home it was basically gone. And I am not being dramatic here. We are talking TWO sprays on my wrist and after an hour all I could smell was the faint ghost of maybe coconut milk? Honestly I am not even sure what note was left because it was hanging on by the molecular equivalent of life support. Look, I LOVE this scent profile. If this actually lasted properly I would probably adore it. But what exactly is the point of spending Creed money on a fragrance with the lifespan of a mayfly? At that price point I expect performance, not a brief tropical hallucination before it disappears into the atmosphere 😂 And before somebody says “it becomes a skin scent,” no mate, it becomes a memory. Honestly, as good as this smells, I would recommend almost anything else. You would genuinely get more value handing strangers the money you would have spent on a bottle and asking them to compliment you directly. At least those compliments would last longer than the fragrance 😂

Creed Week Day 6: Saving the two best for last. I'm a fan of this one. This is probably the best "vacation scent" that I have ever smelled. It instantly hits you with a coconut-lime combination, with some additional musk and florals closer to drydown. It has a good blend and uses high quality ingredients for a clean and natural scent profile. It is designed for very warm weather, and stays close to the skin unless oversprayed. I'm pretty sure that it's mass appealing aswell. The only problem I have with this fragrance is the longevity. I can get 6 hours out of it on clothes, but its quick conversion to a skin scent happens around 2-3h in. So if you want to make it work, you better lotion up and spray on your clothes too. Probably the only blind-buy safe Creed. However due to the price point I still advise to test it thoroughly before you purchase. 8.5/10, would be 9.5/10 if it lasted longer. It is one of three Creed fragrances that are competing for the spot in my collection, along with Aventus Cologne and a third one which will be reviewed tomorrow. EDIT: As of today, I have recieved a full bottle of this as a gift! All set for the summer now!

Just got a newer batch and it's slightly different from the older sample I have. The citrus is a touch more pronounced, but the wearing experience seems a bit more closer to the skin. It might be a maceration thing as the sample probably was sitting around for a long time and usually citruses are the first to go, while the concentration thickens. This doesn't seem like the type of profile that's going to blast a room nor do I think that would suit the profile. It's more of a light silage and faint but there scent trail which IMO gives a sort of seduction to the fragrance. You will smell this on a person if they are close enough to you, but you won't announce your presence into a room, and I'm perfectly fine with that as long as I get 5-6 hours of longevity. I guess I will see, just tried this on now, I will update later. IMO the best unisex coconut note I've smelled that doesn't smell sickly sweet or lotion like. Edit: lasted 7 hours on my skin, but the last 2 hours was a faint skin scent. I'm fine with that.

10/10 I’ve always wondered what made a good fragrance to me. Was it how it projected, or even how long it lasted? Those were all important factors of course, but my mind always came to one conclusion: how does it smell? Creed Virgin Island Water is easily one of the best smelling fragrances of all time, and should be in contention for greatest summer fragrance ever created. Coming from someone who’s not even a huge fan of lime, they do it beautifully but not in an artificial way, completely authentic. Obviously everyone in the comments are gonna sit here and say, “Oh, but it dosen’t last” and trust me, they’re not wrong at all. But I don’t care how many times I have to put it on and reapply, I will always do it nontheless. There’s something truly intoxicating about VIW, out of my entire collection it seems to stand on it’s own as my magnum opus.

Virgin Island Water is one of my absolute favorite fresh summer scents of all time, I have loved it since the first time I tested it, and it is just beautiful. The fresh lime, creamy coconut milk that is not overwhelming or synthetic, that boozy Caribbean white rum note and the tropical florals. However, let’s talk about the well-known and biggest issue with Virgin Island Water – the longevity. It just doesn’t last, not in the first version from 2007 and still not in this newest version either. On my skin it lasts for maximum 2 hours and then it’s a skin scent and gone. Because of this huge longevity issue, I have never bought a bottle since it would feel like the biggest scam, when the price point is around 220 to 320 euros for a fragrance that doesn’t last at all. Virgin Island Water Creed Scent: 10/10 Longevity: 2/10 Value: 0/10

I have no idea what people are all on about regarding longevity. This may not be the loudest scent considering it's a Creed perfume. However, Longevity is very good. I sprayed a single spritz close to neck on the collar mid-day. I still smell it at 7 am in the morning. This is the latest 2025 version. I owned VIW in 2014-2015 and it performed very similar. Maybe the Jasmine was more forward back then. Also the weather was much tropical where I lived back then vs a very frigid climate now. The smell is a winner because it smells so natural and well rounded. Dry down is elegant with mostly coconut forward and nuances of musk and ylang ylang.

Yes it's pricy, yes it's more of an intimate scent bubble experience (as are most Creed's). But it smells good, and what I've found with dupes is that they can get close but never nail it entirely. So I suck it up and got mine at a discounter, and yes I am happy with my purchase because nothing I have smells like this and I enjoy the profile. It also lasts a while on my skin (although projection is mild). It's a great introverted scent that you put on for your own enjoyment and not to impress others, and I've found it suits that purpose. But if someone is close enough to you, they will pick up on it.

This is my favourite fragrance from Creed, but unfortunately, the performance is very disappointing. I really wish it lasted longer. The projection is okay for the first hour, but after that it quickly settles into a skin scent, and by the fourth hour it is barely noticeable. I know I could carry a decant to reapply throughout the day, but having to do that every hour feels a bit excessive. It is honestly disappointing that such an expensive, premium fragrance has significantly worse longevity than some of my Hugo Boss fragrances, which cost only a fraction of the price of Virgin Island Water.

I get 6-7 hours from this fragrance with 3-4 good projection which is better than I hear others say, I cant smell the coconut but others tell me they can smell it straight away on me so it must just be my nose. I've not tried the popular dupe, however I highly recommend this fragrance its my favourite summer scent. The lime in particular is powerful and lasts longer than I would expect. Yoooo this is so good. I get a lot of lime, coconut, a little rum. It’s wicked fresh. Projects well but only for a few minutes before you have to go looking for it. Smell is unreal, performance is not there. For that reason, I am on the fence about getting a full bottle. Smell alone, this is top 3 summer all time no question. Performance is not it.

I don't know if the formula was changed, but this smells different to me. The older version smelled more sour, and it had this wet wood smell. This one is lighter, with a hint of that zestiness, but more coconut lotion with a a cool lime drink. I don't really get the woods. This is better.

Love this fragrance for the 20 minutes it lasts. You can spray it on in your house and by the time you get out the door, it can't be smelled. For a fragrance house that is notorious for poor performing fragrances- this is by far the worst performing one. DO NOT BUY.

Its this really good fresh lime coconut smell but the spillage isn't worth the money your paying for neither is the longevity. The scent is just perfect for summer and aquatica is a good dupe that's better for a lower price! 10/10

Hello, Can somebody please clarify for me what is the difference between this and the OG 2007 version? I currently have the OG but not a lot left and considering picking up a new bottle. Should I buy this 2025 or 2007 version?

This scent makes me think of summertime! Genre Parfums has a really good dupe of this called Anguillan Water. This scent goes well with Nest Balinese Coconut very well. Smells like a fruity drink at the swim up bar!

I love it! It’s definitely much better than the old version. The old one started off beautifully, but after a couple of minutes it developed a weird pickle/dill smell. The new one doesn’t have that anymore.

I love it because it’s so simple, citrus , lemony with a touch of sweet coconut. I paid full price for a small bottle and boy - what a fucking mistake. If this fragrance lasts, it would be my top 3 freshy.

I have a 2022 bottle of creed VIW, and I just smelt this 2025 even though they say they didn’t change anything to me it smells more solar and fruity.

It was unseasonably hot this evening at 80 degrees before work, so I thought that it would be a great time to try VIW out. I began the evening with shaving with Sterling's Island Man shave soap, aftershave, and shaving balm. Their inspired scents are dead on and dirt cheap while offering a premium shaving experience. I broke out my 5ml decant if VIL and did a tester 12 sprays. I knew that there wouldn't be much to speak of in the performance department as with most of Creed's offerings. I reapplied when I got to work with a total of about 1.5ml. Its a fantastic fragrance! I don't get much rum, but the other notes are singing a nice beach vibe song. As expected, it only lasted a few hours and was very linear, but that wasn't an issue as I had my decant with me. This isn't really my kind of fragrance, but I enjoyed it regardless. I have also tried Montagne's Buko Intense which is a $1/ml dupe, but offers 6 hours of performance, and it was considerably close. If you want a bottle of this, I think you owe it to yourself to get Buko Intense instead. Its a fraction of the cost and the performance is much better.

I have tried my best not to buy this scent. I have tried and bought dupes, but keep coming back to this. I even bought it last year and returned it, because I know the longevity is so poor, but it has remained etched into my brain. Today I decided I just had to have it. Virgin island water is the one and only refreshing coconut lime scent for me. There just isn’t anything that smells as good as this does. I keep trying to tell myself that it isn’t that great, but it’s amazing! It has the perfect amount of surgery sweetness for me. It’s such an uplifting scent and it smells great on everyone. I absolutely can’t wait to wear this in the heat of summer. I’m lucky I managed to grab a discounted 100ml.

Perhaps it's a thing with all copra scented perfumes I smell but whenever there's a citrus + coconut milk combination I can sort of taste the perfume on the roof of my mouth? This tastes like lime meringue pie or a really deliciously caramelized, zesty orange fluffy cake. I like the top and heart notes better than the base but the tonka bean is really pleasant to sniff at the end, it makes the musky not too powdery and more pallatable, it feels more of a grown-up scent? I guess? I like it but it's severely overpriced and not something I could just wear anywhere.

A truly pleasant fragrance that feels like an all-rounder for warm weather. Fresh, uplifting, and easy to wear without being overwhelming and perfect for summer days when you want something light and breezy. The only downside for me is the performance; it doesn’t last as long as I’d like. For the price point, I would definitely look for good cloning alternatives, as the scent itself is great but longevity and value don’t quite match. I'm looking forward to the new release from the house of Rayhaan.

Tbh aquatica smells so much better than this🤣 and at least I can smell something in there compared to this. All I can smell is chlorine and after 30 minutes I have to press the nose on my wrist for catching something. 320€ is a pure scam. 2007 version is on another level

Top note heavy. Lime and coconut cocktail basically. Fantastic opening, that fades within 2 hours. Projection and silage performs really well in the gym though in sweat. Yet, for casual wear it’ll require a decant for reapplication

Super expensive D&G Light Blue with poor performance and a whiff of coconut on the top. Similarly dries down to an inoffensive but boring white musk after a hour or so. Much more interesting on the test strip.

If you remember the signature drink "Ocean Water" from Sonic Drive-In, that's exactly what this smells like. Powerade, with sprite, and coconut flavoring. This smells IDENTICAL. Childhood nostalgia unlocked.

How strange. I would never call this beautiful, but artificial. It has a very chemical aftersmell. You get immediately hit with that MATURE husked coconut smell (definitely not a green cooconut or a Nui Vai traditional coconut) and then it immediately dries down to the aftersmell after you spray on some suncreen. But not the good sunscreen, we're talking about the cheap kind, not some Beauty of Joseon type shit, we're talking about the low-quality banana boat. It's very chemical-y and unimpressive. Improves in the dry down but it almost comes off as reminiscing on a vacation, not living in it. I would not recommend this to anyone but I would absolutely put up with it. 6.9/10

when i sampled VIW, i was expecting more than i got. it dried down quickly into an almost chlorinated pool smell, and stayed that way until it dried down. i don't know if my nose is weak, but when i smelled it, i didn't smell any rum, coconut, or citrus, just pure chlorinated pool. it didn't smell bad, but more like one of those indoor pools. not bad by any means, but man i was too hyped.

A truly unisex fragrance - I smell coconut and lime perfectly blended on the opening, aquatic and creamy sunscreen in the middle and dry-down. It sits close to the skin, but lasts 3-6 hours on me. It smells like a tropical vacation. If you really want to be drenched in vacation vibes without thinking of what perfume to wear whilst on vacation, this would be it!

I smelt this for the first time today. It's unbelievably striking. I get a menthol/mint note in the opening , which dries down into a very mild fresh-amber smell. I love it, but the performance is diabolical. If they figure out how to fix that performance, it'll be a no brainer. At the moment, it's not a buy because of that. But it's a gorgeous scent.

Would love this without the lime. Love the coconut lotion vibe, hate the sour overpowering lime that domineers the scent. Any reccomendations for a masculine coconut fragrance without lime, without fig, without pina colada vibes? Just a musky powdery masculine creamy coconut? I don't think it exists.
