Distiller's Blend

Blind bought this at Marshall’s. I was a little hesitant, as distilled beverage-based fragrances tend to be a little off-puttingly heavy to me (I don’t like Bentley for Men), but I trusted the reviews on here saying that it was fresher than the notes suggested. Boy, am I glad I did. I bought this for about $12.99, but I could easily see myself buying it at around $40 or so if I knew what it smelled like. It’s very lovely. I get the comparisons to Terre d’Hermes (they both have a slightly similar orange and herbal thing going on), but it’s definitely not a dupe of that one. This one is a little more modern and its earthiness goes in a more aromatic direction, I think. Also I LOVE this scent and I’m not a big fan of TdH. It almost feels like it’s got a sage note of some kind, along with that pleasant orange note. The vetiver’s definitely in there as well. I got a little of the bourbon in the opening, but it largely fades away after a few minutes. Looking at the promo photo it looks like there may be anise and some sort of grassy note? Anyway, there’s definitely more going on here than the three notes they’ve provided. I wouldn’t say this is a summer scent, but I would say it’s also not much of a Winter scent. It’s firmly in the Spring and Autumn categories for me. As for longevity, it’s not great, but it’s good enough for me. And I don’t really care much about performance when it smells this nice at this price.

Not sure how they continue to offer such high quality fragrances for such amazing prices but Distiller's Blend is yet another huge hit from Cremo. This fragrance lasts over 12 hours hours on my skin. Projects very well for the first 4 hours before starting to settle down. Sillage is very good after the projection starts to die down. Every time I move my head or walk around I catch wonderful wafts of it. Very woody, a bit earthy and a bit boozy for most of the life of the fragrance but there's also a creaminess that develops on my skin in the far drydown. I'm not sure what note is causing that but it just gets better and better throughout the life of it. I wore it as my SOTN yesterday. Sprayed it when I got home from work around 5pm and this morning I'm still catching wafts of it and it's almost 15 hours after I first sprayed it. It performs better on my skin than some of my much more expensive niche and designer fragrances. There's a versatility here that makes it perfect for any season, day or nighttime wear, too. Scent : 9/10 Longevity : 10/10 Projection : 7.5/10 Sillage : 8/10 Versatility : 10/10

The hidden power of this fragrance is its ability to layer with just about anything. By itself, it's a bit of sweet orange, moderate oak, light vetiver and a hint of non-boozy bourbon to round it out. Pretty good stuff and a fantastic deal at the prices you can find it. However, the versatility for layering with it is just wonderful. Today I wore it as a base for my LV Imagination and it became a beautiful woody citrus cloud, punctuated with touches of booze + cinnamon. Stunning. It gives Encre Noire Sport an extra dimension (actually, this combo is *strikingly* similar to the Terre d'Hermes DNA - maybe the Intense Vetiver flanker?). This stuff layers wonderfully with just about anything that has a shared note... Certain layering scents also have the interesting ability to push 'true' unisex scents into more masculine territory, and that may be the case with this fragrance (just tested with TF Lost Cherry and sure enough, it's wonderful). Needless to say, I'm going to have a bottle or two of this on hand at all times, year round.

This baby, is the frag that started me down the Cremo line. As soon as I smelled it I was hooked. I was buying beard products and ran across the Distillers blend line. When I smelled the edt I was shocked at the quality and performance. There isn't anything quite like this as far as scent profiles go. The closest I can get is Bourbon and Oak. Cremo is knocking the scents out of the park. I am amazed. Distillers Blend is fine bourbon and cedar with a dash of vetiver. Only bear wrestlers could wear this one! Talk about unique and new scent profile...wow! For 20 bones you get a better smelling and better performing fragrance than designers selling their wares for 80-100+ bucks. Longevity 8.5/10 Sillage 8.5/10 Scent 10/10 Overall 9.2/10 I am loving this stuff.

This is a great cheapie as are most of the fragrances from Cremo. Its citrus, vetiver, boozy and woody with some sweetness. It would be hard to dislike this especially at this price point. I think it would be a safe blind buy and is pretty mass appealing. Got it on amazon for $17. This is not a strong projector, and sits pretty close to the skin and is more of a personal scent but i imagine that if completely overspray it may improve performance. Pretty versatile scent. Much cleaner citrus and vetiver than Terre D'Hermes which i love. i still have yet to buy a Cremo fragrance that i didn't like. I think this and Palo Santo are my favorites, but they're all honestly good. Certain stores have their exclusive Cremo fragrances (Walmart & Target).

This is a very likeable very masculine and very versatile scent. This is a great "workhorse" if you want an everyday scent to wear to work the gun etc... I don't know why it doesn't have citrus listed but I definitely smell some orange. The vetiver is also very noticeable and so is the oak. It is all the way masculine I can't picture this on a woman at all. I also like that its versatile this is something anybody young or old could pull off just fine. Cremo is very mass appealing everybody rants and raves about spice and vanilla but I liked this one much much more.

This is a great scent! It reminds me of Ralph Lauren Romance Silver, which is out of production (though I still have most of a bottle left), so I added that onto the "reminds me of" list above. I actually bought a couple extra bottles, just in case it goes out of production, too! I'm not very good at describing scents in terms of woodsy-ness or earthiness, but this is an easy-to-wear, versatile scent that lasts all day. I have a habit of picking up Cremo scents for my spouse. This is a safe buy if you can find it. The Bourbon Vanilla shampoo smells delicious, but the perfume had a heavy dose of booze which I didn't care for. I was fearful that this would be similar. I am happy it was not. This may have Vetiver, but it doesn't resemble Terre d'Hermes EDT. I own and wear Terre d'Hermes in winter. This is just pleasant and clean smelling. It's nice enough that as a lady, I would steal a spritz on the days I don't want sugar, gourmand or florals.

Well, I haven't reviewed anything in a while, but I just have to let it be known that, in my opinion, CREMO fragrances are amazing! Distiller's Blend in one of the 5 EDT's I share with my hubby and may actually be my fav for myself. SO aromatic! Wonderful spices, pungent wood, and drinkable bourbon, all melded into something better that even the sum of its exquisite parts. I suggest that you get your nose on ALL of Cremo's smells. I'll bet that you find more than one to love.

Vetiver oak fruitiness in a dry yet playful manner. I weirdly see how this smells like Guerlain's Ideal Cologne but in a more woodier than almond way. It's not super boozy like some other fragrances but you could imagine a cognac of some sorts mixed in with tart and sweet citruses. Not super beast mode with longevity and projection but safe to go trigger happy with. 10/10 Would purchase again or refer to a friend! <3

This is one of those scents I really hated at first but after a few months I sprayed it again and I liked it, and the closer it got to the end of the bottle the better it smelled. It has a very mature profile to it and it went well with suits. Unfortunately Cremo customer support told me they have no intention of bringing it back due to weak sales. At least they still have the beard oil and balm for now.

Maybe I’m doing it wrong, but this is a clean, fresh spicy, freshie to me. Not listed, I get a nice, like fresh-squeezed orange accord along with the spice and woodiness. Love the opening. Good performance. Another strong, pleasant, feel-good fragrance from kind of a dark horse perfumer. Doesn’t wear or smell like an inexpensive frag to me.

The best dumb reach fragrance I’ve tried in a long time. I can’t think of a situation where this would be inappropriate. Budget Grey Vetiver. Fresh and Clean, but has some nice depth from the woody notes.

I have a few Cremo fragrances, and this is probably my favorite. It smells phenomenal and unlike anything else I own. And I find it extremely versatile. Date, work, casual, formal, whatever.

Some of the best leather jacket scents around are made by Cremo, this is one that is just primo. Perfect cold scent but great anytime.

It's really quite a winter festive scent. Been loving this for a long while now. Good all year but really shines in Fall/Winter.

Smells like a Rum or Whiskey distillery. That's my whole review.

Cremo Distiller's Blend is really interesting. So I have made no qualms about my dislike of a number of vetiver fragrances namely Gurelain Vetiver and Tom Ford Grey Vetiver. That said one of Distiller's Blend's distinct notes is vetiver. Hell, the bodywash and shave cream that Cremo made for Distiller's Blend is very vetiver based. Once I smelt those, I was thinking to myself "I made a mistake" and then I smelt the spray from Distiller's Blend... Distiller's Blend has bourbon whiskey and distiller's spices uptop. Not as strong or distinct as Bourbon and Oak or Bourbon Vanilla, but it is there. Then it goes into a vetiver fragrance. It struck me by surprise that I liked it since both TF Grey Vetiver and Guerlain's Vetiver annoyed my nasal orifice and even the Cremo bodywash and shave cream could twitch my nose. Somehow the vetiver note in Distiller's Blend is dialed back like Dunhill Icon's. The base is woody with oak, but I really don't notice it as it blends pretty well with the vetiver. I won't disagree that there is some similarity to Bourbon and Oak, Bourbon Vanilla as well as the Bath and Body Works Bourbon. That said, this has more depth. Distiller's Blend is a fall/winter day and night scent. I think like Bourbon and Oak if you go slight, this may work for work. It isn't as alcoholic but has some punch on it fresh. I would say this may work for dates but it might be an dad or perhaps grandpa scent. Ironically I got that comment wearing Silver Water and Birch by Cremo. I think with the vetiver, it may also work in spring. Arizona doesn't really get a spring, we just get summer so for me, I won't wear it in spring. I don't see this working in summer. Distiller's Blend is yet another Cremo. Cremo's aren't known for being long lasting fragrances that are projection bombs. Great scents, don't get me wrong. Just don't perform. You'll get OK projection and about four to six hours of performance. With Distiller's Blend, I get four. Not horrible, don't get me wrong, just not great like say Spice and Black Vanilla that is their best performer. Distiller's Blend is a good cheapie buy. I rate it a 7 out of 10. You can buy much worse than this and often for more.

I have been using Stetson my whole life. I love Stetson, but I was recently informed that it was an old man cologne, and realized that my father and grandfather both wear it, so I set out to find a new fragrance. I was at my job at Rite Aid when this along with the Palo Santo caught my eye for the first time, as it wasn't in the fragrance cabinet like all the other colognes. I did some research and decided that this fragrance might be what I'm looking for (at least until I can afford Paris Cuirs Nomades Italian Leather). It's dirt cheap, but it's very airy and light - it doesn't smell like I put cologne on, but rather it smells like I showered with a really nice-smelling body wash. Don't get me wrong, I love the scent, I just wish it lasted longer and would be stronger, although it could be that my years of wearing the much heavier Stetson have made me less able to appreciate lighter fragrances. I tried layering it with Stetson, and it produced a nice scent that I think is best saved for the fall season. Ultimately I like it and will be using it, but it is very much seasonal for me. Edit: After wearing it for some time, I have received multiple compliments on this cologne, the vast majority of which were unprompted (not to mention all from ladies). My girl loves it because it smells nice but is not too strong, strong scents give her headaches. I’m going to be using Distiller’s Blend for a very long time from now on.

Ive had my bottle for over a year now, so I've had plenty of time to wear it. I mainly wear it to work. Im a carpenter and 20 bucks is a decent value when nobody but you is going to smell you all day. I immediately liked this scent from first spray which doesn't happen often for me. I usually have to let scents grow on me over time. But this was immediate. I get alot of citrus and spice and if anything like a distilled spirit, id have to say its a clear liquor, not a brown. Maybe some sort of specialty gin. At least thats what comes to mind for me. I also get decent longevity as well. At the end of a 9 or 10 hour day, I can still smell it on my clothes. Its not a world beater by no means but its still there. Maybe I lucked up and got a good batch bottle. Overall if you want something 20ish bucks that you dont have to wait for a week in the mail, this will do the trick. There are a million much more expensive fragrances out there that are alot less appealing than this. I give it a 7.5 overall

The bourbon hardly lasts yet smells good after the first spray but is gone in 30 seconds. This is coming from a person who hates drinking whiskey/bourbon. Honestly wish the bourbon note held for an hour or two but after 3 sprays on the wrist, bourbon scent starts to project and hold a bit. I really don't get why it's titled Distiller's Blend when I'm getting more of a fresh, in your face, spring/woodsy vibe here - maybe you have to douse yourself in it? This scent is growing on me. Right now it's ok/like range. It's quite different for me, it's like if you're chewing gum it'd be similar to a spearmint freshness in terms of how you react to it. Intriguing..... Will be back in a few days to see how I adapt to this.

I can see why people compare this to TdH, but I like this more than TdH, as it is not so dirty/earthy. To me, I smell nice vetiver and orange leaf notes with a touch of the bourbon/boozy note. I it is about 6 hours longevity with my chemistry and is best for spring/autumn as some have mentioned, but I can see it can be rocked in the summer on a not so hot day or in fresh summer evening. Very nice fragrance for the price!

It is pretty weak and doesn't last long, but I agree with others - it is totally ok for the money, especially considering it is stated as cologne. It was my impulse buy from TJMax for $12 something I got interested in ingredients because these are what I usually like. Overall I like the smell, but can't say it is my favorite and I don't think I will buy again. Anyway it worth to try if you don not mind cheap fragrances.

The citrusy almondy opening is really really good and it reminds me of Guerlain l'homme Ideal Cologne, but the dry down on my skin is okay. I find it to smell better on fabric than skin. To my nose, it does NOT smell like TdH or Guerlain Vetiver. It performs like a body spray, but for $22 I'm not complaining.

Nice secondary notes of orange, honey, a little spice. Got a little vetiver after a while. The orange reminds me, very faintly of Terre d’Hermes. Not picking up the whiskey or oak. Not much projection. Life is shorter than other Cremo frags (Palo Santo, Spice & Black Vanilla).

Warm like a campfire and just as cozy. Great every day quick spritz for me.

So Guerlain Vetiver and Axe Body Spray had a baby... As a vetiver fiend, had to try this. A nice buy for $20, the smoked vetiver note that emerges after 30 minutes makes it worth it. My first days with it, don’t like the opening so much. So while it’s better than some $80 scents as some say, I wouldn’t spend $30 for it at this point. I might not even buy it again at $20, but I’m going to spray it a few more times and let it sit to see how it develops over the next weeks and months. Top: Bourbon Mid: Smoked Vetiver Base: Oak Opens a little too acridly sweet for me, a syrupy chemical Axe sweet with a whiff of Skid Row alcoholic. If it’s the bourbon, I don’t like it. A sickly sweet whiskey hangover vibe, ugh. Maybe could’ve used a little more citrus or spicy to balance the opening? At least tone down the cheap whiskey stench. (Side note, since this is Bourbon-Vetiver-Oak, how about a Bourbonless Vetiver and Oak Cremo? Smoked vetiver and oak = Smoke & Oak Reserve Collection! Think about it.) Anyway, back to Distiller’s Blend opening, after 30 minutes, a quality vetiver note emerges. Reminiscent of Guerlain. From here on a nice cozy blended scent with that luxurious vetiver mystique in the mix. The vetiver and woodiness keep getting better and better as the opening fades, smoke and oak indeed. Decent 5-6 hr longevity and sillage, so after the first 30 to 45 minutes this smells great and performs well for the price. In short, a poor man’s sweet Guerlain Vetiver if you like or can get past the opening.

I get so much citrus from this, especially in the opening! This is a pleasant scent with nondescript woods, but it retains a freshness throughout it's lifespan. These notes here don't align much with the scent experience, because this isn't richly oak-y, boozy or very heavy whatsoever. It's definitely a body product sort of fragrance (that's ok, this brand does a lot of body products), and it's so incongruent with the title that I needed to come on and douple check that this wasn't some sort of flanker that I mistook. But no...it's just oddly named. It's nice, and for the price it isn't an issue, but if you're expecting something "distilled" think again. It's fresh, slightly spicy, and has a very mild/not heavy vetiver tone. Longevity&sillage are both somewhat weak, but again, the price is fair for what you get. I think this is uplifting, but not necessarily something that I'd swoon for on a guy. It just smells *nice*. Consider it an easy reach? It's still too masculine for my taste, I'm merely reviewing this from a secondary perspective.

Orange/blood orange & star anise opening. Alcoholic nature of the scent hides a bit of a perfumer’s alcohol blast. Bourbon & spice notes come in nicely after 10-15min. All quiets down rapidly & is a green citrus woody skin scent in 30min on my moisturized skin. Undetectable on skin after 2+ hours but sticks to clothes a few hours more. Performs like an aftershave on me. Perfect use is as a refresher during the day to a darker frag with orange & earthy vetiver in it. After the gym before you shower at home, before a dinner with the family, casually with the bro’s. Uhhh after a shave... Mainstream likeable & faint. Bought a bottle on clearance at Marshall’s for $10 & went right back to buy another. Will be experimenting layering this with some iso-e/vetiver & some citrus/ambroxan frags to boost performance & see what I get. Someone in another review mentioned layering with beard oil of the same scent from cremo on the skin to boost performance, I may try that too as it’s a great scent.

Follows the Cremo trend of misleading names. Should be mulled vetiver or citrus vetiver. I get citrus plus damp woody vetiver and a bit of smoke. Idk why orange and spice (star anise) isn’t listed as notes (they’re pictured on the website) and very prominent. In the dry down, you get less orange (it's now in the background) and some more vanillic woody notes, which I assume is the "bourbon". The vetiver gets drier and woodier. My notes by prominence would be: 1) Vetiver 2) Orange 3) Spices - like mulling spice blend 4) Bourbon barrel Despite that, it’s good and simple. Very fresh despite smoke tinge, dry (not-sweet), and inoffensive. And office safe as the longevity is very weak: ~4 hours max on me even when over sprayed. Not at all like the lasting power of Palo Santo from Cremo. Things it doesn't smell like: 1) Coca-cola...uh that's way sweeter than this. 2) Incense of any variety. Why a 3/5? It has only 2-4hr longevity on skin, making it almost the weakest one I own.

I have used this for a couple of years. Though I do not think it smells close to the rest of the Distillers Blend line which imo smell so much better than the matching edt, it does still smell very nice. This edt is definitely more green and fresh than what I thought it would be. The performance on it is ok, it get a good hour of arm length projection before it turns into a close to the skin scent with a scent bubble of about a foot. It does have pretty good sillage and the scent does stick around for 6-8 hours depending on skin, sprays and environment. Now I have noticed that it does give off a smokey woods smell way way way into the scent, but it is only noticable if you put your nose to where you sprayed it. I do like this and I continue to buy because it is always nice to have a dumb reach cologne for when u just want to smell nice to preserve your more expensive frags.

Vetiver bourbon bomb (after micration). Similar DNA to Bourbon and Oak. Not my taste due to that specific dry, synthetic and dirty woody vetiver but so far so good (dumb reach, all season). Palo Santo and B&O on top. Basically B&O exclusive (darker, woodier, dirty). Very masculine. Crazy sillage and longevity. Edit: after looking through the reviews I have noticed people pick up a lot of citrus, I didn't pick that up immediately, but I have noticed it very faintly, it's sweet and is present in the drydown for me. I noticed this especially after doing 1:1 with TDH edt. It's a much better alternative to TDH btw (with less vintage citrus and more longevity).

Smells great for about three hours - boozy, woody, spicy, without excessive sweetness or cheap character - reminiscent of CH Privé and Givenchy Gentleman. Unfortunately on my skin, the far drydown veers toward a strong cigar ash and 70`s drugstore cologne experience that I cannot enjoy. I could only work with Distiller's Blend if I were mindful enough to reapply or wash it off before it turns for the worse. That seems like a lot to ask for an inexpensive scent of middling quality. There's enough similarity to Cremo's Oak & Bourbon, which smells great throughout and performs better, that one needn't very much regret setting DB aside.

Blends 50/50 w/Encre noire👌 25/75 wFarenheit 🤌 Alone it’s too sweet orange for me. Blends or layers nicely with shared notes (orange, vetiver, anise, amber-wood). Great value for $20, could easily be a $60-70 designer frag

Eh I wore this a few times didn’t knock my socks off. Smells sweet yet dark. Only a few hours of decent performance. It’s Only 20 buck so who can complain 6.99/10

Extremely generic and forgettable.

I like whiskey, this smells nothing like any whiskey. It's more like spicy smoky vetiver with some sweet citrus on top. Sweetness dies down after like an hour. Going skinscent by 4 hours in, but somewhat comes back to life in the cold with a light breeze; even after 6 hours. Really like the scent but it doesn't stick around for too long before going soft. It's a nice fresh office scent at least. ** The No.13, Distiller's Blend, Body Wash ** Smells just like Angostura bitters in an old fashioned. The fragrance smells nothing like this. Kinda perplexed why anyone would want to smell just like Angostura though.

Imo smells exactly like a Catholic church (frankincense, I've heard that's what they burn). Also reminds me of the smell of Coca-Cola, kind of a musky/muted-spicy. Kind of a dry caramel-vanilla/cinnamon/nutmeg/cardamom with citrus undertones. My GF loves the Catholic church so this might work out in my favor 😂 Also, this is nothing like TdH. TdH is very citrusy and warm, where as this is very musky and dry.

#50 in my 250 fragrances in 250 days "Tour de Fragrance." This one is a failure for me. A very weak and indistinct fragrance that you can bathe in and still can't really tell what you're wearing. Not bad, but not anything to it. Maybe I got a bad bottle, but the other Cremo's I've tried were far stronger.

So I got this on clearance for 11 dollars without smelling it. I was very bummed on both the scent profile and the longevity. It's very lackluster and boring and almost fades entirely before you can get your nose on it. So I decided to wear it anyway and LMAO it's a compliment beast. Everyone loves it. I was shocked. The barista I see every day said "man you smell fucking SEXY" I'm like Jesus Christ cue the eye roll like what do you even enjoy about this. Either everyone around me has shit taste or this is some kind of secret weapon. For this reason I'm buying another from this brand tomorrow not sure which one but we shall see. One of them smells like Elysium to me but can't remember the name.

This stuff smells nothing like how you imagine it will smell. Its quite sweet, fresh, some spice. Reminds me of Joop Splash quite a bit. Great spring summer fragrance for day or night. Compliment getter for sure. Lasts a decent amount of time. Falls somewhere in the middle of moderate to long lasting performance wise. For the price its a must have.

This smells like Lacoste eau intense and Dior Homme Sport 2021 to my nose. Definitely less quality than the latter but I get a lot of orange and woods similar to the above mentioned. I’m not sure if I’m drinking an old fashioned in a cabin or sipping on Tang in the forest 😂. Either way, I like it.

So Distiller's Blend N013 Cologne smells good but unlike Bourbon Vanilla, Bourbon & Oak, or Iced Citron & Driftwood Cologne that match exactly as the Shampoo & Body Wash, D.B N013 doesn't match with it's Shampoo or Body Wash counterpart nor smell better.

This is the best cheapy I've come across randomly. I bought a set of these Cremo fragrances on Amazon and this particular blend blew me away. It has a very pleasing earthy scent that really settles nice on the skin. I consider this a hidden gem.

Had the chance to smell this scent in body wash form and, man, it really does smell like being sidled up to the bar and catching the scent of all the different types of booze in the air. If that is your jam this is for you! ✨

Totally different from the Distiller's Blend shampoo which is a really nice, dark, smoky vetiver scent. This is fresh and orange-forward, smells very similar to a smoked old-fashioned cocktail, light on the smoke. It's nice!

Found it at Marshalls for 12.99$ I don’t get any bourbon or woody. It starts lemony fresh, and then dry down smells like BR vintage green.

$14.95 at Marshalls/TJ Maxx right now. If it really is discontinued, might want to scoop some up.

Citronella, bourbon, and grassy Vetiver. That’s all I get.
