Cuba City New York

I need to lead this off with the fact that its shape is amazing for a breast pocket or in your bag. This versatile woody cologne is amazing for an episodic day. 2 sprays, get to the first meeting. 1 spray on your way to lunch or right after. Maybe another spray around the time you start to wrap up the day. It is a beautiful formal version of the classic sport scent people expect from the average guy. It is timeless and it is not Brut or just any classic Grandpa scent. Highly recommend. Classic, clean, woody. $6-8 on amazon. Maybe 4 sprays a day of 35 ml.

I'd seen the comparison to Acqua Di Gio, so I was interested in trying this one out. I must say that I don't get much of a hint of Acqua, but I can see how people would be reminded of it. This scent opens up with a citrus and ginger blast. It starts to transition to the middle notes in which it becomes a bit warmer, but not overbearingly so. This scent does not project all that much either, so definitely a warmer weather scent. The entire scent lasted about 4 hours on my skin, sadly, but that is typical for this line. The good thing, though, is that it is affordable to respray and the bottle is a great travel size! This scent is a 5/10 for me! Cheers!

Seaweed and marine notes dominate from the heart; pretty much this seems to be an outline, and an interpolated average between, 'Acqua di Gio' and 'Bvlgari Aqva'- not matching either exactly, failing to even approach their depth, but succeeding in providing a very-wearable luxury at a discounted price, packaged smartly- if not a little collectably kitschly- to sell and sell well. It is what it is- but I will say that all of the Cubas make great traveling fragrances! This one is for going to New York in summer. ;-)

This is the most nondescript classic scent for men or masculine people. It doesn't outperform anything. It doesn't underperform. This is an nonspecific AXE that is better than AXE but not that far ahead.

Unclear smell, without characterization, it seems that the chemist stopped in the middle

Pros: - Subtle sweet scent - Simple notes - Name matches the scent (Sweet,somewhat chic) - Cheap enough to just wear around your house on lazy days Cons: - Longevity 1-2 only - Sillage poor - No spice present It is exactly what I expected a cologne called "New York" to smell like, has a nice subtle sweet scent that is decent for wearing around the house, but nothing more than that really. Its one of the few Cuba scents that doesn't smell like cigar. It does not have any spice notes that I could detect. I do agree that is smells slightly like BVLGARI Aqva but not really to the same extent, its a good reference point though. I wouldn't recommend this though because even doused in this the longevity will still be 1-2 hours and you won't even notice it after a few minutes.

The Cuba Paris line has become well known on sites such as this. It's become a "go to" for clones of much more expensive/better known designers and major corporations. C.P. has its hits and misses, this might be somewhere in between. New York City for men smells nice but has little projection and its name might conjure up notes or images of something other than what it smells like. Aquatic/Marine-like and yet no such aromas show up on the pyramid of notes. The previous reviewer is right on in saying that it might fall in between AdG by Armani and Bvlgari's Aqva. Simple and it does a good job of smelling nice.
