Cuba Orange

I actually really like it... Personal: 8/10 – It’s fun, light, and sweet, with a soft orange-vanilla vibe that’s surprisingly pleasant. It’s basically a sweet citrus body spray with a hint of musk, and it's one of my guilty pleasures. Mass appeal: 8.5/10 – Bright, sweet citrus always wins. It’s playful and likable, though the sugary tone can come off as juvenile or synthetic to some. Performance: 5/10 – Light and short-lived. Projects fine for an hour, but disappears fast. Value: 9/10 – For under $10, this is one of the better-smelling citrus cheapies. Fun, wearable, and easy to reapply without guilt. Uniqueness: 6/10 – Not truly unique, but more interesting than your average orange body spray thanks to its creamy-musky drydown. SCORE: 73/100 Full bottle buy? YES, cheap, cheerful, and easy to enjoy. Blind buy? YES, almost impossible to dislike unless you HATE sweet citrus. Recommend? YES, great inexpensive summer scent. Date night? NO, too light and simple, even for casual dates. Office safe? YES, fresh, pleasant, and non-intrusive. Pros: Sweet, juicy citrus opening, cheerful and wearable, great for hot weather, very affordable. Cons: Weak longevity, relatively synthetic, a bit too sugary for mature wearers. Cuba Orange is one of my guilty pleasure fragrances, full disclosure. It's synthetic, but it's sweet, citrusy, with enough woods and spice to give the illusion of something more complex. It's very short lived, but while it's hanging around, it's a very affordable and pleasant summery fragrance that, though it does lean unisex, is very wearable by a man. There’s nothing serious or challenging about it, and that’s exactly why it works. If Cuba Blue smelled like every blue fragrance ever made, Cuba Orange smells like every happy citrus body spray, but with just enough warmth to keep it interesting. I really like it. It's a smooth, musky, sweet, vanillic orange scent that's enjoyable for pretty much anyone. It's absolutely well worth buying for only $11. I really rate this highly for the price. The immediate hit new out the box is not nice and you definitely need to sit this one on the shelf for a while to get rid of the nasty opening straight out the box new. Initially I left it only 2 weeks and it turned into an absolute gem of a fragrance for such a cheap price. Several months later now, its matured magnificently into a lovely woody orange peel and pipe tobacco smoke masculine scent. Simple, effective and gorgeous. Despite the budget look of the packaging it's still a good presentation for a ten buck fragrance. I truly think this is a fine fragrance and definitely as good as anything many times the price. After sitting to mature it for 8 months, it's now lost the synthetic screech opening and initial drydown and it now lasts an above-average length of time, not an all-dayer but decent. I get around a 5-7 hours wear, no more. Its a lot deeper and has a fantastic woody smoky bassnote thats exceptional. Verdict............ It's a rare thing...a true bargain, i love it's unique orange cedar firesmoke vibe. I would happily pay more for this than the bargain-bin drugstore price. the only thing this scent lacks is the fact its not really ready to wear for several months. The scent itself is a delight. I'm glad i held onto it for months and its grown in stature enormously. One of the best cheap gems out there and i recommend this highly. If you don't like smoke and orange though, you won't like this.

I have 9 now out of the Cuba line-up and I keep going back to this one! The Cuba Orange just makes me happy! I keep smelling my self, I kinda smile when I get a whiff lingering from my wrist while working... I get the Orange vibe you get while eating an Orange Creamsicle. Its the Orange that makes it taste so good, mixed with the ice cream. In this fragrance its the Orange floral that makes the smooth spicy cigar background come to life! This may sound childish, but its not! You still have the masculine sweet tobacco mixed with the cedar and wood to pull it off. This is one of the most interesting fragrances that I have smelled as of yet. I don't know if its simple or complex except everything compliments itself here. It definitely is a niche. I give this one a A+

I am surprised at the note breakdown listed as I can clearly smell the top note of orange/lemon. I bought my bottle last year from burlington, so perhaps the citrus notes might have faded in some older cuba orange bottles. The profile is really nice, versatile, kind of a grab and go, no worries, no thinking about the situation. Projection is short due to the intial citrus top notes fading, but the heart and some citrus projects well for about 3-4 hours and a few more hours as a skin scent. A really affordable fragrance for those who like a mature, warm, vanilla, sandalwood, jasmine and citrus profile.

I just figured it out... aside from the orange floral notes that make this fragrance so different, it is the spicy tobacco rum boozy notes that made me crazy about Tommy Bahama Original! If you liked this one you will love CUBA ORANGE! Update: I know I must be crazy but I do love this cheap $9 cologne... If you have this Cuba Orange and want to try something different here is an idea. I have been layering it with Versace Dreamer, 24 Gold, LaMale, and Cuba Gold. Not to disrespect these well done fragrances! But, have got some nice compliments on these configurations. So call me CRAZY...

Cuba Orange is lovely. Yes, it is a bit similar to Dunhill Red Desire but there is something else in the background that makes it different, with it's own character. This reminds me of Minotaure more. Distinctive tobacco, vanilla and some yuzu or orange are, maybe, in there too. Lasting power is amazing and sillage is very good. Overall, a sweet, woody, spicy, fruity scent, with some slight smokiness in the drydown. I love the Cuba range, and this one is one the the best. This is a gorgeous long lasting fragrance, and very underrated especially considering the price.

I may already have a review lower down but I'm not sure. This stuff is one of the best cheap fragrances you can buy, and there are a lot of great cheap fragrances. When I first smelled it I had never smelled anything like it with it's vibrant happy creamy orange vibe, and nice woody dry down. This is one of my best happy fragrances. Love the stuff. I recently encountered another fragrance that is like a fall and winter version of this and it's called Khadlaj Island Vanilla Dunes(very similar orange cream smell just not nearly as fresh and more spicy and sweet).

I like it, on my skin it's refreshing, like a Lipton ice tea peach scent, it's refreshing and nice I get 4-5hr on skin and moderate sillage, the atomizer, bottle design and quality is excellent for the price and overall decent even if we don't factor in the price It definitely got better with with time so macerating is good on this one All things considered, when my 35ml runs out I'll probably buy the 100, because the prices are so low it's ridiculous my mom says that it reminds her of cherries

I love this scent. To me, it smells like masculine creamsicle (orange and vanilla) with spice. It is very fresh and something you could wear year round. I am 40 and I feel this appropriate for my style, but I think it would be appropriate for many age groups. Very inoffensive scent and not something I have really smelled anywhere before. If you are not familiar with Cuba scents, you could get this one in a 4 pack sampler as well.

The notes listed don't really do this one credit. At the low price point, it's worth a blind buy if you like the other fragrances in their line. Longevity is as mediocre as the rest of Cuba Paris' colognes, but again, at the price point, you can re-apply generously throughout the day. Wonderful cheapie.

This one surprised me, I was pleased with the scent. Slightly creamy from the sandalwood.. But I get more of an Orange blossom vibe over Jasmine.. I didn't get much of the spicey note. Projected average for 30-45 mins... Lasted about 4 hours on my skin. Can't complain for this price point..

This is the essence of clean. This reminds me of having on clean clothes straight from the dryer and relaxing in a very clean house. It's definitely not a cologny type of fragrance. Super clean and just under the radar. Perfect!

I just got this in the 4 pack Cuba gift set for $9.99 at Ross. I love it. Smells just like Dunhill Desire (maybe better) but for about $2.50. Can't beat that! I'm not so sure how I feel about the other 3 cigars yet.

Cuba Paris is known for cheap dumb grab smell alike scents. Cuba has done a lot of scents that are smell alikes. Some are really good like Cuba Royal (the 1 Million one), Cuba Prestige (the A*Men one), Cuba Wild Heart (the Love & Luck for men one) and Cuba Winner (the Invictus one.) Cuba Orange is one of the more recent purchases I made from this house. Fragluxe has the entry for Cuba Orange as: “This fragrance has top notes of transparent jasmine, cedar, and green nettle accord creating an attractive blend that’s perfect for casual use. The wood-filled top notes are further supported by gaiac wood, suede accord, and lavender providing a base that helps to make this a nice scent suitable for all ages.” So maybe the notes are a bit off on Fragrantica... But what I get is an Orange Creme. It seriously smells like a Friendly’s Orange Creme roll cake or the milkshake. It is a note that isn’t covered unless it is in the vague spicy note. The Orange Creme note is really strong and projects at an arm length until the scent settles in at about an hour and a half in. When this happens, the scent goes jasmine for about an hour, hour and a half before going into a woody skin scent for another two hours. The scent lasts five hours in total. Cuba Orange is a nice scent. It is a simple gourmand but it don’t play like Cuba Wild Heart and Cuba Prestige or even Cuba Royal and Cuba Winner, instead it plays like Cuba Gold. It is basically the Ultra Zest version of Cuba Gold. A cheap linear precursor to a popular designer scent that becomes legend in the fragcom. I must say that is nice to use for travel like I think Cuba Gold, Royal, and Wild Heart are and I like it but it isn’t great like the other three I mentioned. Cuba Orange is just good. Simply Put Scents would put this as an A. I rate it as a 7.0.

yes, this cologne is pretty similar to dunhill desire, but not entirely. as robbie said, there is something about Cuba Orange that makes it its own scent. There is more of a musk in it as it dries down, something you dont find in desire. Smells pretty bomb. 8/10 Cuba orange is also a very good buy. I got this from amazon for only 6 bucks and it was worth every cent and more. This cologne is decent quality, surprisingly strong longevity, smells good, and great projection. Can be smelled from about arm length. But don't spray too much or else you will become a bit nauseous (dead serious) I recommend this product to those you have a few dollars laying around. P.S. If you want dunhill desire but dont have the cash, you should get this. STAY AWAY FROM ITS IMITATION "YACHTMAN RED". Terrible quality cologne.

I've definitely got the Orange version. I've got others in the line but the one I'm writing about is the Orange. I had to check both the bottle and the tubular tin it came in because I'm getting no orange at all. From what I'd read I was expecting a strong synthetic orange accord similar to when you open a can of fizzy orange pop like Tango or similar. I'm getting a spicy, peppery, powdery and quite pleasant fragrance that if not the best quality really isn't like toilet or floor cleaner to me. The reason I bought it was because it was dirt cheap, my bathroom is orange themed and I wanted it in there as an air freshener. I couldn't find a dedicated orange heavy air freshener. Being as it is quite different and nice I shall wear it occasionally instead and I'll enjoy it.

I have many, mayhaps too many, perfumes. I have many of the grand classics for women and men both expensive and inexpensive. I wear them and no one says boo. I put on this cheap (about $4 USD) and obscure little number and get compliments like crazy; go figure. Cuba Orange is not daring, exciting, artistic, ironic, or hip. It doesn't set the perfume world on fire. Nevertheless, it just smells good. Bear in mind, it leans on the powdery side (at least it did on me) but is also spicy and woodsy, really nice stuff. Objectively, I would say, "I like this" I don't love or hate this but I think that is Orange's appeal - it just smells good, other people like smelling it, and it has great longevity and sillage. Can't go wrong with that.

Well, this is my first review, being new to the "Fragrantica" community. I'm wearing Cuba Orange today as it was a gift from a co-worker. The 1st thing that strikes me is the lack of woody-ness, given that sandalwood and cedar are listed in the notes. The spices are very, very subtle. What it is though, is fresh, almost orange floral. It reminds me of a very weak version of Jean Paul Gaultier Le Male. Funny, that gmmcnair said it would be something nice to get for a kid... as this morning I went to my bank and when I was in line, a boy standing in line behind me, with his father said.."Dad, it smells like Orange Juice in here". So there it is then.. "watered down orange juice" with a touch of fake jasmine".

Opens with a sweet synthetic orange - almost like orange candy, with sandalwood and a hint of cedar underpinning. After it dries down, the sandalwood becomes more pronounced than the sweet orange, although the orange is still there. The sillage never exceeds arm's length upon initial application, and it drops off from there, becoming a skin scent after about six hours. Overall, it smells good; a warm scent, but I can't really see anyone over 30 wearing this. This is one more fragrance that proves that you don't have to drop hundreds of dollars to smell good, and it's my go-to when I'm not sure what to wear.

I have a lot of different vanilla based perfumes. But Cuban Orange is the best vanilla scent. Considering the price, it's surprising. The top note has a refreshing scent like a slightly heavy orange peel. As time passes, the creamy, sweet and sour vanilla scent lasts for a long time. Perfume is not originally sprayed on the skin. You must spray it on clothes to feel the intended scent. If you spray it on your skin, the duration is very short and you can't feel the proper fragrance. Cuban Orange lasts all day when sprayed on clothes. It's a really sexy and pleasant sweet and sour creamy vanilla scent.

Candy orange. Orange crush. Orange bubblegum. Orange soda. Those are all words to perfectly describe this fragrance. Yet you will not find not one orange or citrus note. A crowd pleaser. This is easily a favorite and, the only one I use out of the cuba line. Not sure I can add anything other than what everyone has already said. Cuba is mostly known for cuba gold and other knock-offs or 'replicas' that come off smelling cheap. However, I find this orange smell to be a genuine winner. Recommended for casual settings or occasions.

I read some reviews and I fully agree with what ́Loran ́ wrote: In the beginning it smels just the same as Nikos Sculpture. After a while this ́Orange ́ smells more like lemon. I ́ll keep it for layering with another fragrance. I have also the other Cuba perfumes and some of them are really beasts in sillage and projection. This one is good but lasts less longer than his brothers, so this one is maybe better for office use where strong perfumes can irritate your coworkers :-) For it ́s price it ́s good and a no-brainer...

A boozy, sweet tobacco smell. Reminds me a bit of the spiciness of CK Obsession. I was given a set of four; Blue, Brown, Red and Orange and this one was my favorite. Brown was too sweet, Red was too peppery, and Blue was a generic aquatic in the line of CK1, which I've always hated. It's the size of a large cigar and fits in my bag, which I use on the go and it has a nice scent that draws many compliments.

I've been wanting to get my nose on this one for a while! Sweetness overload.....orange and extremely sweet is what I get from it. Once the dry down settles you will get a cheap "clone " of Dunhill Desire Red. It's OK if you like sweet fragrances....I wouldn't wear this in the heat of summer.....definitely be headache inducing and the bottle will melt!!!🍭🍬🫠🤣🤣

I like Cuba Orange. I would describe it as a spicy citrus smell with hints of jasmine or something in the drydown. Some say it smells like a cleanser, and I guess that's kind of true. But I would mean it in the best way. It is not a very refined and subtle scent, and it doesn't last very long. But given the price, I think this is a nice fragrance.

The fragrance notes above describe it perfectly. It is an adequately done fragrance, inoffensive if not outstanding, longevity is bad but it's cheap and easy to reapply. There really isn't much else to say about it. As close to a generic fragrance as you're going to get. Maybe something to get a kid who wants to smell good.

Another fragrance classic, I remember buying these in a 1.7 pack like real cigars. These are good for fall and winter use. This one comes on spicy and warm like hot apple cider then dries down into a powdery spicy warm freshness. As always! Try it for yourself, everyone has different DNA!!!

Very alike Dunhill Desire as other have stated. I feel the orange note is a bit more pronounced in Cuba, I actually like it a bit more than the D D. This is a nice, unexpensive orange soda / candy scent with decent projection and longevity.

Unpopular opinion but this smells so much more expensive than it is, probably even better than Dunhill Desire. Spicy-creamy orange vanilla that can instantly brighten up your day.

Subtle creamy orange, nothing shouty about this. It's pleasant. I bought the 35ml 'cigar' for $NZ14. I wouldn't buy anything bigger or pay more than that.

Vanilla orange mixture straight up. Nothing more too it than that. Smells similar to and orange and icream ice pop. Good Longevity average performance.

I'll be giving this to my girlfriend it smells pretty good after the dry down but not on me. I'd rather smell it on her.

I bought a bottle of Cuba Authentic Mystic (yup, the Montale copycat bottle) for my daugter, to show her there are pleasant scents even she could afford any time, and i bought a 35ml version of Cuba Orange for myself. I kinda like the presentation. This thin cigar holder with a cigar inside looks great, much better than the thick 100ml versions from the same brand and it fits anywhere, so you can carry it along. The scent itself: after the spicy opening it calms down a bit into something like an orange popsicle (as others mentioned before me) and this is the best part, altough unfortunately it won't last long. From here the final transition begins and the longer it dries down becomes more of a citrus toilet cleaner. It's not sophisticated in any way and won't punch above it's category (like my daughter's Authentic Mystic does), but i only paid less than 4 euros for this one and while i won't spray it on myself on it's own i can still use it for layering with other fragrances. Already tried with some and it can work with winter scents and works with summer frags. Not with all of them, so you'll have to find it out which scent works and which won't, but at least it's versatile and c'mon, for less than 4 euros i won't say anything bad about it. Probably if you have designer frags for 100+ euros or dollars you won't need this and you still don't need this if you bought arabian dupes for 20-30 euros or dollars , but some people can't afford a higher price tag and it's still pleasant, inoffensive and better than stink from your own sweat.

I have a 30ml which I almost finished and a 100ml one that just came in, so let me keep it short for you: The smell : a somewhat spicy Mirinda drink... very pleasant summer scent (depends on your taste... I see some people here do not like it, but I do very much) Projection: 3-4 hours of good projection, then remains as a skin scent. Longevity: 5-7h.. Price/quality - very very goooood!!! (under 10$) EDIT: Went for an afternoon out with my father and sprayed 7 times at about 3pm... it's past 10pm and I can still smell this stuff on me very clearly :)

#25 in my "Tour de Fragrance" Finally, a Cuba Paris scent that isn't going straight in the trash bin. This is pleasant. Nothing special. The citrus notes disappear within the hour, but the vanilla remains all day. Real Downside: like with all these Cuba Paris cheapies there's zero, and I do mean zero projection. If they aren't nuzzling you, they won't. notice. But if they are, they'll find it a pleasant scent. Though they may want you to wake up and make them pancakes.

Au premier abord, ce parfum ressemble à Sculpture de Nikos. Mais il n'a pas la distinction de celui-ci. Après quelques minutes, l'odeur de l'orange et du muguet est perceptible. Mais également la vanille. Ce parfum est agréable, sucré, il est frais et léger et peut être porté l'été. Mais n'a pas une bonne longévité (3 h max). Le sillage est très faible. A mon avis c'est un parfum unisexe. Très bon rapport qualité prix !

Smells just fine. Overwhelmingly synthetic opening but smells smoother as it settles. My nose picks up orange, vanilla, and maybe a bit of sage..? Lasts only like 5-6 hours on clothes and mediocre sillage at best even with 8 sprays. For the price its definitely worth trying, cause why not, plus might be ok for layering.

It just smells: orange and only orange fruit, how could that not be listed in the notes? Just orange and nothing more.

Pros: -Clean smelling -Not to strong smelling -Very cheap (9$ a bottle approx) Cons: -Does not smell of much citrus -Does not smell truly of an orange -Its much to light for anybody who isn't on you or extremely close to you to appreciate -Smells more like generic bathroom cleaner -Doesn't hit a huge impression besides "Meh..." -Doesn't make a statement nor does it smell like a signature scent Do not get me wrong about Cuba series cologne, it is my favourite. This was one I was hoping would blow me away but instead it just reminded me of fake generic orange scented bathroom cleaner (possibly because it just overly smells like alcohol and slightly makes me sick). The true essence of citrus or orange is not present and the smell is much to light. I was hoping it would be better but it was only 9$ so I can't really complain that it doesn't live up to the price. However it is not worthy to be a signature scent and may be better suited for a younger, tight budgeted person, rather than somebody who older and may be able to acquire other colognes. As I said earlier it smells like generic bathroom cleaner to me and that is where it is now, in my bathroom as a masking spray.

Bought the fragrance because it was affordable and the package/bottle looked very nice and original. At first sniff in the store it seemed decent but after I've tried to wear it I found that the scent just has something in it that makes me vomit. It is like the mold rotten fruit. And it is the same scent on my skin and on the clothes. Didn't wear it more than 4-5 times and ended the bottle like dirt and grease cleaner for my electronics. Anyone else found the Cuba Orange scent smell like that?

This is my least favorite Cuba fragrance; I am distracted by the sugary synthetic orange note. Not a zesty or herbal citrus, but like an orange fruit-snack. There is also a syrupy, synthetic sandalwood which becomes more tolerable with time. Smelling this actually makes me laugh because it is so floor-cleaner-ish and sweet, and I don't doubt that the same orange compound they put in cleaning products was used in the formulation of this. Oh well, you can't win them all Cuba.

As a female scent: 5/10 As a men's cologne: 2.5/10 I don't understand how men can wear such girly frag's nowadays. I'd be embarrassed going out with this on as people would make fun of me for wearing women's perfume. I would give it a 5 as a women's perfume as it smells like orange soda which I would definitely drink, but I cannot recommend it, even at its extremely cheap price.

This is one of the few of the Cuba line that I don't especially like. The base of woods, amber, and tobacco is nice, top notes of citrus; its the heart of synthetic jasmine and aldehydes that I don't care for- gave me a bit of a headache.

I wore it and it was fine for 20 minutes but then my nose just got offended - I can stand linear smells but this was extremely linear and loud about it. Smells just like pure citrus, which granted from the Orange, lol.

I don’t know how the actual bottle smells but I bought the tester and all i can say is that it smells like a toilet bowl cleaner it was unpleasant and i wouldnt recommend it

I got this in a package of 4 and this is definitely my least favorite. It just didn’t do it for me. And I’m all honesty it smells like toilet cleaner so I gifted it to a friend who actually found it quite nice. They said it smells like jasmine, black pepper, and tobacco. This might be the one for you but it wasn’t for me.

This is the stuff of orange scented erasers, orange scented stickers, $1 orange air fresheners, orange scented hand scrubs, tang, and every other man-made allusion to an orange, qua orange. And it's not like you have to break the bank to spend twice, maybe $20-25, for an honest quality orange-citrus scent. Just not this.
