A lovely fruity floral that opens with a sparkling and effervescent cherry paired with subtle citrus. It’s reminiscent of a cherry rosé of sorts. The scent develops into a jammy plum and soft jasmine combination that’s subtly sweet with floral undertones. The plum manages to be a subtle fruitiness without being too strong, as the scent in general is a subtle and effortless one. The dry down amps up a warm sweetness with a touch of powdery woodiness. A very simple scent in whole but a lovely transition from bright and fruity to warm and sweet.

Moving right along in my ongoing Curatrix journey, today my focus shifts to Heist. Upon examining its note breakdown, I immediately noticed cherry listed, alongside vanilla and a medley of other fruit notes. This sparked my curiosity: would the cherry seize the spotlight, offering a Lost Cherry-esque experience, or would it gracefully recede, playing a supporting role to the ensemble? Let's get into it and uncover what this fragrance truly has to offer. Opening The opening is a vibrant burst of succulent fruit, inviting sweetness, and a delicate floral whisper. The primary notes that immediately register are cherry, vanilla, plum, and jasmine, with cherry and vanilla standing as the most prominent. The cherry ushers in the fragrance with a sweet, juicy, and subtly tart accord, remarkably reminiscent of the distinctive cherry note found in Tom Ford's Lost Cherry. It possesses that same bright vibrancy that allows the note to truly stand out within the composition. Trailing elegantly behind the cherry comes the vanilla, introducing a creamy sweetness that perfectly complements the cherry, crafting an almost gourmand sensation. Next, plum and jasmine weave into the narrative. The plum layers on additional fruitiness, but it presents as juicier and more intensely focused on its inherent sweetness. Lastly, the jasmine adds a delicate, subtly sweetened white floral touch in the background, providing a nuanced depth beyond pure fruitiness. Dry Down The dry down gently evolves into a captivating blend of sweet indulgence, rich fruitiness, and warm ambery embrace. The primary notes I discern are plum, vanilla, cherry, and amber, with vanilla and amber now taking the leading roles. The vanilla maintains its highlight status in the dry down, presenting the same sweet and creamy accord from the opening. However, it feels more prominent now that it's no longer vying for attention with the cherry. Behind the vanilla emerges the amber, imbuing the dry down with a rich, sweet, and resinous tone. This luxurious core is then joined by plum and cherry. The plum gracefully shifts to a supporting role in the dry down, still imparting its characteristic sweet fruitiness, though to a lesser extent. Lastly, the cherry is still detectable in the background, offering a whisper of its fruity tartness, a subtle echo of its vibrant opening. Performance The initial projection is remarkably strong, effortlessly extending beyond six feet and easily filling a room. Sillage matches this intensity, leaving a densely sweet and notably heavy scent trail. Even after a few hours, the projection remained robust, sitting comfortably at about five to six feet, and the scent trail, though perhaps a touch lighter, remained easily discernible. Around the eight-hour mark, the projection still held admirably at about four to five feet, with the scent trail remaining noticeable, albeit slightly more subtle. The fragrance ultimately receded to a skin scent around the ten to eleven-hour mark, demonstrating commendable longevity. When to Wear Heist presents itself as a captivating fall and winter fragrance, perfectly suited for daytime or evening wear. This opulent and rich fragrance possesses admirable versatility, making it an excellent choice for both casual outings and more formal occasions. However, I feel it truly shines and works best as a special occasion fragrance, where its unique character can make a lasting impression. Its substantial richness and intensity suggest it would be too dense and heavy for a typical office environment. Blind Buy If you find yourself drawn to cherry and/or vanilla-forward fragrances, Heist would be a very safe blind buy for your collection. Just bear in mind that the striking cherry note, while brilliant in the opening, primarily recedes into a supporting role in the dry down. Final Verdict Heist proved to be an intriguing olfactory journey, opening with a vibrant similarity to Lost Cherry before gracefully transforming into a familiar and wonderfully cozy vanilla fragrance in its dry down. Both of these scent profiles, in isolation, are ones with which I am quite familiar, yet I've never experienced them blended in such a remarkably seamless and captivating manner. And, of course, in typical Curatrix fashion, the performance of the fragrance left absolutely nothing to be desired, consistently delivering power and presence. Unfortunately, the overall scent profile proved to be a touch too feminine for my personal preference to warrant a full bottle purchase. Nevertheless, I unequivocally consider this a truly beautiful fragrance. *Edit* Will no longer be purchasing from Curatrix due to a terrible customer service experience. Their fragrances are great, but I would exercise caution when dealing with this company. it smells absolutely DECADENT when first sprayed. just sweet and juicy. it’s definitely strong and sexy but not in a nauseating or overpowering way. i can’t really tell the fruits apart at first but as it dries down, i can totally smell the cherry. it’s more subtle, which i really like. im not typically a cherry person but it’s beautiful here. also the vanilla and sandalwood sort of give me a chocolate vibe for some reason. like truly this fragrance makes me think of eating chocolate covered fruit with some bubbly in a bath. just warm and sensual in a way. the epitome of finery. it would be a perfect date night scent on me it definitely dries down softer than i had expected. especially after such a strong first spray. it turns more powdery vanilla but i don’t mind it too much
