Vampiren Veil

I bought their sample pack of every scent they do, this was the one I fell for. The burnt sugar, saffron, and amber were the draws. But the smell of the sample was absolutely amazing. I don’t have the ability to pick out notes, but it was just... delicious. It’s darker than that strawberry note implies—I actually don’t get any strawberry from mine. The sample was so good, I ordered their full bottle of Vampiren Veil within five minutes of receiving and smelling it. The bottle took a week to be created and shipped. Then it was mine. And I was initially disappointed by it. The fragrance was weaker, it held none of the complexity the sample had shown. But I read online that these perfumes are made to order and need time to come together. So, I shoved it in my vanity drawer for a month and forgot about it. When I finally tried it again, it smelled exactly like the sample did! Beautiful, a slightly sweet scent with some cold darkness to it. It’s gorgeous. And a tiny bit goes such a long way. I wore two sprays of it to visit my parents, my dad demanded to know which perfume I was wearing while I was sitting six feet from him. It has a masculine edge that I love, too. I don’t get the similarities between this one and Baccarat Rouge. Maybe a tiny bit of it ten hours after applying Vampiren Veil pops through, that nose tingling scent I can never put a name to! But to me, they’re two different beasts. I like this one better, actually. It layers really well with sweet scents too. Feminises it more.

I got the discovery set as a gift , which made my day/week/month !! Such a thoughtful gift for a perfume and Gothic lover. I must agree with other reviews that it's not giving "dark" "gothic" "transvaniyain castle" or any of that (that to me would be something much darker with notes of damp stone, moss, patchouli, smoke ect - the kind of thing Indie perfumers do well) . That said , I do really enjoy this one !! It's my favourite from the set . Definitely BR540 inspired, but not a clone. It's definitely in that style though, but with it's own twist having that extremely fruity top note. Another good thing about these frags is they are all long lasting....This is a huge plus point for me I'm sick of frags that are a skin scent after 1hr. Yep, these are decently strong sillage and longevity. Excellent!!

Similar in style to BR540 - not a dupe but a credible fragrance in a similar style IMO. Bear in mind that it's common for fragrance houses to do their own "take" on a theme like this but no-one criticises when it's a fancy brand. I find the touch of strawberry with the background of caramel/sugar/amber is smooth and pleasing - not super complex but works well. Projection was moderate (not everyone wants to wear a beast) and it lasted well. Great value as it's not expensive.

A lovely fragrance, i agree with others its not really what you would expect when you hear VAMPIRE but overall an amazing fragance and i cannot reccomend more honestly very much worth the £80+ i paid for it!!

Yeah this is basically BR540 aa others have said, maybe a touch sweeter. Not a bad thing if you like that DNA.

Not exactly what I expected! I was expecting something quite dark and gothic, but it just reads as burnt sugar and strawberry on me. Not a particularly complex one, and I'm not really into gourmand fragrances. It's almost sickly, so probably not one I'm going to reach for again and again, so I'm glad I only have the sample size. For some people this will be great - it is a very yummy smell, and has pretty solid lasting power on the skin! It's just not what I'm looking for, and I agree with other reviewers that are saying this smells more like a Britney Spears or something. If you're after an eerie gothic scent, this misses the mark.

I really liked the vampyric, gothic theme and could not resist trying it - despite the heavy use of AI by the brand which was a bit disheartening. Vampiren Veil smells pleasant and sweet but very mainstream. The complexity of the scent disappears very quickly and only base notes remain. I would never guess it is goth or vampire themed fragrance based on the scent alone. Made me think of Britney Spears perfumes, especially Midnight Fantasy (not the same notes but a similar character). The bottles are very nicely designed but the fragrance is overpriced.

Updating my review to say that after 2 years the scent in my sample bottle have matured somehow, and is now more complex and pleasant. Still a mainstream fragrance, but feels more harmoniously blended. It's nice but very, very sweet, not gothic and has nothing to make me think of a vampire. I wish the company would drop the AI use, as currently I would feel bad (plus a bit anxious) buying anything from them.

This is a very sweet strawberry scent, to me it smells like a bowl of fresh strawberries in the summer and sprinkling sugar over them, it more smells of the taste of that. It is very pretty but just really really sweet. Maybe not a sexy vampire on a stormy Transylvania night, although maybe the smell being so sweet and inviting and luring people to the castle is more of an oxymoron.

Tempted by the intense scent of the sample, I bought a 100 ml bottle. I was disappointed. this is not the same product! diluted a thousand times. Overpriced for what u get. I expressed my opinion on Instagram. I got banned after literally a minute

Worst marketing for any fragrance (other than the Essence Vault) I've ever seen. It's made me genuinely angry. What in the Chinese drop-shipping, pretend goth Killstar, inauthentic, try-hard bs is this?

@ Mr. 814... Haha... Exactly... The demonic, human blood drinking immortal that lives in a gothic castle... smells just like the 40 to 50-something woman that is VP of Human Resources and you can smell half way around the building.. Which I have no problem with.. Just doesn’t scream dark, brooding, lord of blood type stuff.

What self respecting vampire doesn't smell like strawberries and burnt sugar? Darkness..
