Chocolate+ Milk

Lactonic, spicy and exceptionally smooth. Reminds me of opulent hot chocolate Aztec royalty might drink. Not your average gourmand. I'm addicted! I wear it to bed almost every night.

A less aggressive version of Chocolate Man and Chocolate+, with a more rounded scent profile designed to stand on its own than be a mere novelty or layering tool. Where its siblings are dense, pure chocolate scents with a touch of cinnamon, Milk is smoother and creamier speckled with more spices. The florals freshen it up a bit, imparting an airy lift without imparting much flavor. Moderate projection fades to skin over 3-4hr, longevity 8-10hr.

This is much more beautiful than I ever expected. Yes the milk chocolate is there but the florals, specifically rose, take this out of straight gourmand territory and into something much more interesting. The florals also add a sweetness to contrast the bitter chocolate. This is what I wanted chocolate + rose to be. Another lovely creation by Mr. Dame.

I think this is quite nice. It is not like edible chocolate. It has subtle perfume smell to it but very smooth and well-blended. I like this one best in the chocolate+ line.

Having some idea of what might be left in my blind testing bag, I can't say this is a blind test, and its familiar chocolate tone (which to me I have always found a bit cloying like cheap processed chocolate frosting) is thankfully a bit smoother in this rendition. This one is a bit more dusky milk chocolate, with a slight dry bitter note hiding within. But that processed undertone of the chocolate only makes me appreciate the many other cacao/chocolate fragrances out there. Really what I get 15-20 minutes in is the smell of chocolate in the candy making aisle of a craft store - you know, where all the best chocolatiers pick their highest quality ingredients. The chocolate smells just too synthetic. While I appreciate Betty Crocker for all her nostalgic offerings, such childhood memories do not leave me with a desire for her to be used as a Muse in chocolate perfumery. My distaste for this is simply dislike, but to the point after some time I very much want to neutralize the parts of me that I could and cover the rest up with something else, but unfortunately, the moderate projection and longevity (it's strongest aspects) leave it hanging out. Of the Dame chocolate varieties, this is the least problematic, but even then, I'm sorry, get me out of this cheap frosting can.
