Chocolate Perfume Oil

High quality, long-wearing, not too sweet, accessibly-priced, and true to its name. What more can we ask? 2023 Update: Some time in the last year or so on their website, this became Chocolate+ Perfume Oil. They still have Chocolate Man Cologne Spray but now have added to the website a Chocolate+ Eau de Toilette Spray. There is a new Chocolate+ Rose Eau de Toilette Spray also. Check their website for other additions to their range. They have come up with some interesting new things. Dame’s Chocolate oil smells like real dark chocolate syrup, not dry, dusty or powdery/biscuity like other chocolate perfumes I have tested and owned. Smells rich, high quality, not too sweet and very straightforward. Would be wonderful for layering with vanilla, orange, strawberry, raspberry, banana, coconut, mint, or caramel perfumes. Sweeter more vanillary notes emerge toward the end of its wear. Though there are no sharp or plastic notes, it reminds me of a doll I had as a child. Comforting soft and warm.

My holy grail milk chocolate scent. It smells incredibly rich and almost buttery, like cocoa butter or the inside a Lindt truffle.

A very lifelike cocoa scent, I think with a bit of coffee to wake it up. It is what it is supposed to be! I will confess I don’t quite see the point of this oil because I have never really wanted to smell like chocolate... but don’t listen to me because I also have never really understood most true gourmands.

Unsweetened cocoa powder. Realistic. What it says on the label. Now I know why Dame has such a good reputation, but TBH I'm not sure I'd want to smell like I spilled cocoa on my shirt while baking.

Have to say the oil smells way better than the actual perfume, here I get just all chocolate, with the perfume I get almost a woody smell with it..this is wayyy nicer!

I'd recommend sampling this one first, which is easy to do with this house. One day I put a dab of this on my arm and went to work. Forgot about it. Hours later, I picked up an off smell and thought, what is that gross perfume I put on? It was a sour, murky scent. Took me a bit to remember what it was, because it didn't resemble chocolate, or the first hour or so of the scent. So, while the opening is beautiful, it develops into something unpleasant for me. If I had the spray, it would be worth trying on fabric.

Chocolate oil is 100 percent cocoa powder. Baker’s chocolate. A supremely literal interpretation. A perfect foil for the addition of other fragrances, I’ve combined it with Fords lys fume and it’s incredible. Another stellar creation from Dame

Gender-neutral. Smells like lava cake. Feels dressed up. Love.
