Citrus Man

Whoa...this is really good. Great initial blast of citrus and then a genuinely great base of Sandalwood , musk, Jasmine. Exceptionally good. Above average sillage and good longevity. 9/10. I remember liking it alot when I first tested it but letting it sit around for 6 months has really opened it up. as someone below me noted, it has an entertaining progression.

Dame Perfumery is one of those houses where it's hard to go wrong with a blind buy. I did that with Citrus Man about a year ago. It was on sale for half price on the site. 100ml for $35? Okay. I started using it a couple weeks ago. I concur with most of the positive comments here. It is a light yet persistent EDC that definitely leans masculine. It is not a barber shop scent yet it is a bit soapy; an occasional flash of "foamy hand sanitizer" which is blunted (to borrow the prior reviewer's perfect word) by the expertly blended jasmine that is just present enough. This is not an animalic musk at all. It's a clean musk with a linear citrus background that persists with that jasmine, arm in arm; an unusual effect that I'd imagine was a bit tricky for Jeffrey to pull off. Bravo. It's also worth mentioning that sometimes - I get the impression that I'm wearing an "Eau Fraiche" version of Fierce; like a cousin of that powerhouse which has been toned way down (not hollowed out), with the equalizer on different settings. Citrus Man is an overlooked gem. I suspect the reason for the sale price at the time is because it was discontinued; it's no longer on the site and seems to be scarce online. Like anything I've encountered from this house it's more than worth its price (even at regular retail), and worthy of your consideration.

I very much enjoy the evolution of Citrus Man from a relatively bitter, lemon/bergamot-intensive opening to a very sweet drydown, anchored by the cedar and (even more so) the three different kinds of musk in the base. The opening is very sharp but gives way within an hour or so to a sweeter, semi-woody dry down. It's a fun combination of citrus, musk, sandalwood, and cedar. The musk overlap is significant with New Musk Man but not prohibitively so. Performance is decent, as well, especially for a citrus-dominant fragrance, and accordingly, it's priced very reasonably (as are most of his fragrances) at $65 for 100ml. A very nice clean, citrus, musky fragrance that might have to be my next buy from the line, along with New Musk Man. 7 out of 10

Citrus Man smells fantastic on my man, an intensely pleasing citrus and jasmine, complemented very nicely and in a manly way by the woods and musk. The first time he wore this we were hiking on Kauai, and I could smell that gorgeous citrus floral wafting behind him several feet down the trail! He wasn't wearing a lot of it, either. This was a unique experience, I think because out there my senses aren't hampered by allergies. I said, "You need a bottle of that", and got him one soon after.

A musky woody base, flavored with a melange of fresh citrus and a surprisingly prominent jasmine that blunts any citric sharpness and adds its signature uplifting character. Lime-heavy on my skin. Moderately soft projection for 2-3hr, longevity 6-8hr. Smells okay but there's a distinct lack of focus on citrus here, which I'm disappointed with.

Very weak citrus scent. This scent is more of an Irish twin of Gendarme. A very clean white musk focused scent with soapy sandalwood drydown. Why it has citrus in the name is beyond me

Sandalwood dominated on me in Citrus Man. I would have liked more citrus, especially lemon, or a lot less sandalwood. Reminds me somewhat of Bergamot 22 by Le Labo and D&G Lt Blue.

A very light hearted citrus. It definitely has the musk man dna like Sebastian from lfsg mentioned in his video. The initial spritz reminds me of a lemon based tart or like a pie. And quickly transitioned into it's mid notes. Within 15 mins this was settled down into a soft musky creamy pleasant scent. To be honest i only got like 5hrs of longevity and a 2inch from skin projection. It left me yearning for more. It is a good scent. But lacks in performance. This could be a good scent to wear out on a brunch date with friends. ** revised. After further sampling from my dabber. I have concluded this does last 6-8 hours. If it was being sprayed from a bottle this definitely would last a decent amount of time.
