Soliflore Honeysuckle

This smells like the best days of my childhood. My dad would wake me up early on summer mornings and we would go down to the lake to "go fishing". We would pass thick bushes of honeysuckle. I think I spent more time pulling out the stamens to get the little drop of nectar than I would trying to catch fish. This is a great scent to wear on its own or to layer. This scent smells of happiness: a fresh, light, free floral.

Well, this is awesome. I received a sample with another purchase. I couldn’t stop sniffing my wrist. Can you say wrist crack? This is definitely FB worthy.

Unlike the other Dame soliflores I've tried, this doesn't remind me of the flower in question at all. It reminds me of soap, especially a honeysuckle scented laundry detergent I once had, which also didn't remind me of honeysuckle. I live in the southeast where we have the vine type. In my mind, honeysuckle is sweeter while this smells soapy to me. I must like it, however, because I keep putting it on. It's a nice fresh smell for when I don't feel like smelling ultra-romantic. I don't get anything jasmine-like about it at all.

I found out about Dame Perfumery's postcard sample program and absolutely had to do it! My sample choice was Soliflore Honeysuckle. I received that along with 5 other fragrance samples and a facial cream sample. Wow! What a surprise that was. Soliflore Honeysuckle is beautiful. So sweet and intoxicating. It reminds me of my childhood when I would pluck the flowers from the vine and suck the nectar. I can't wait to try my other samples. I'm very impressed with Dame Perfumery so far.

this is a fairly true honeysuckle scent, though when wafting up it reminds me a bit of lily of the valley but with more oomph-like honeysuckle with a hint of LOTV. after about 5-10 minutes i smell a slight creaminess which reminds me of coconut, and at this point it gets a bit more "beachy." this is a great scent for spring or summer.

I can’t imagine anyone hating this perfume, it’s a beautiful floral in full bloom. My only criticism is that I think this is jasmine and not honeysuckle. This would be great for layering if you’re into that sort of thing. Really good performance makes Dame’s Honeysuckle a no brainer.

This is a very interesting honeysuckle on me. It starts off sunny and a little tropical, then becomes less sweet, and I can even smell a little indolic note and even maybe some greenery. It's a vibe.

It's my 2nd favorite from the line, but it smells more like jasmine if anything.

To celebrate the United States's 241st birthday, Mr. Jeffrey Dame generously sent 241 of his fans a small bottle of his newest release, Monsoon (which is a gem, by the way, but I'll review it later). Mr. Dame also sent me a sample of Soliflore Honeysuckle with Monsoon. I live in Idaho, and hadn't realized until this year that apparently a variety of honeysuckle does indeed grow in the northwest. I thought they were Southern/Mid-Atlantic, mostly. My understanding is that the honeysuckles that grow in my area are more like shrubs and small trees, while the other, more famous kind, is vine-like. This perfume doesn't exactly smell like Idaho honeysuckle, but it doesn't smell dissimilar either. My guess is that it is styled after the vine, and that the vine and the bush don't smell identical. This is a very beautiful little perfume. My sample is oil-based, and the oil is very, very smooth―not sticky at all, as some perfume oils tend to be. I probably won't buy a bottle or rollerball, but I am enjoying my sample. I expect that I will spend my money on more offerings from his Artist Collection instead.

Very pretty and enjoyable. As a lover of Avon's classic Honeysuckle, I cannot say there is any resemblance, though charming. It smells to me something like a combination of gardenia and soft yellow florals on a dry base. Lovely simplicity and innocence. You could hardly go wrong with this lovely and wearable floral. It is excellent! As are all his fragrances - at very reasonable prices. Dame is one of my very favorite American houses. If you love warm and womanly classics, I suggest also testing Jeffrey Dame's Duality for women. It is top notch in every respect! The best new release I've tested in the last few years. Literally. I thought perfumes of this caliber were history. Not so!

This is okay, but the Honeysuckle from Demeter is fresher and more realistic.
