Soliflore Rose De Mai

The most natural and truest rose scent I've ever tried. It opens up with vivid lemony note, eventually gets gentler and more elegant, and once it's completely settled it gives me this feeling that I'm floating on a sea of fresh rose petals. Somewhat smells watery to me. I'm a little... bewildered but this has been helping me go through depression and anxiety a lot. And for that, I cannot thank DAME Perfumery enough. Such a bright, positive scent that reminds me I am alive, makes me want to live, tells me I can do it, and assures me everything is going to be all right. No other fragrance ever had this sort of effect on me before. I usually wish my favourite things to be not too famous but I honestly want DAME to be a worldwide super popular perfumery so that I can keep on buying this perfume forever. I need this in my life. It's like an amulet to me now. I purchased the oil and, on my skin, it doesn't have much sillage nor longevity (I didn't let it sit at all so maybe that's why?). Since there's no alcohol in it, it smells absolutely natural from the very beginning and it's just wonderful.

This is what Perfumer's Workshop Tea Rose wishes it could be, but never comes close. Dame rarely disappoints, and again, they hit a home run on this one. As has already been stated, this is the closest thing you'll find to the smell of fresh cut roses, other than the real thing. It starts off sharp and green, but despite it being simplistic, there is a development that rounds the whole thing out after an hour or so, to a sweet, dewy, slightly spicy rose. There is absolutely nothing else in here, and it is completely perfect the way it is. If I didn't love David Yurman so much, this would be my ideal rose. And given the growing scarcity of DY, it might end up taking the place eventually anyhow. If you love rose, this is absolutely a must-have. I tested the 1ml Dame dauber sample. I don't know if there is a significant difference with the spray or the oil.

Recently purchased the Tuberose, Rose, Narcissus, and Gardenia Soliflore oils. Each of them is lovely but this is my favorite. I have so very many rose frags and this is one of the very finest, IMHO. It is so lovely, soft, and photorealistic. So many of my colleagues have said "that is the most beautiful scent you've ever worn." There is no screechy aspect, just a true, sweet, plush rose of a quality one does not often smell. Like garden roses from my childhood, in the days before roses had most of the scent bred out of them. I can't recommend this one highly enough. Sillage and longevity are both impressive. It is gorgeous on it's own, perfect for layering, and the convenient rollerball lets you carry it in purse or pocket. Did I mention the price? An absolute steal. Do yourself a favor, rose lovers and buy this exquisite gem!

This opens up as a true rose scent, bringing back memories of fresh cut roses from my aunt's garden. I distinctly remembered them reminding me of quality, dried tea in a sweet and earthy way and this perfume is the same. There is a kind of syrupy sweetness to this mixed with the floral and sharp green notes that makes me think of honey. This would be lovely alone or layered.

The only other scent I've worn to get a barrage of compliments on my initial wearing is Animalé Animalé for Men. This is the scent of a fresh cut rose, nothing more, nothing less.
