Strawberry Fool

Strawberry Fool (sample reviewed) A fresh take on a strawberry musky white floral. Definately unisex. A bright citrus fresh opening. The white florals are clean, not indolic or overpowering. Plum fills out the scent but minimal. White musk helps with longevity and softness so it doesnt veer sharp. A very well executed scent. Perfect for high heat, spring, or summer. If you like fresh scents its an all year wear. Fun without being cliche.

Sampling Dame Perfumery Strawberry Fool, an unusual, fresh, green, sharp, semi-floral, strawberry-infused scent that frankly confuses me a bit. One on the one hand, it’s a bit of a pleasant potpourri of varied fresh elements; on the other, it seems to insist on some the more biting aspects, like (to me, bitter) orange oil, and a floral medley of lily of the valley, jasmine, and rose that doesn’t land very well for me. Certainly an interesting and perhaps innovative rendition of a blended fresh fragrance, but one that does not work for me very well, its apex perhaps being, at times, some pleasant background scent in a room, but not one that I would seek out. Still, it performs pretty well. Like most of the unisex fragrances in the line, this is EDT concentration and is priced very modestly at $75 for 100ml, sold in the US via the house website and boutiques like Olfactif. 5 out of 10

When I first smelled this, I found it kind of cough-syrup medicinal, which to me is a deal-breaker. But after a couple of months, I sprayed it on again. I still get a bit of cough syrup in the opening, but it goes away quickly, and then I get a wonderful Strawberry Shortcake doll from the 80s smell. I may have to get some of the body cream and maybe another sample!

I prefer sweeter scents so this wasn't quite sweet enough to me. You get a pretty green strawberry in this and a lot of white florals. Would be good for someone who likes florals and wants something a bit more tart.

Smells literally like shampoo..I'm barely getting fruit at all. The longevity was really weak as well. I do not understand the praise for this scent.
