Eau So Fabulous

A lot of things you can easily spend $75 dollars on smell exactly like this. Maybe not even as good. I don't think the new Miss Dior is one iota better than this cute little Dana creation. This line is either discontinued or very sporadically stocked, but you can still find them cheap on the grey market. I bought mine at Kmart about 10 years ago and still have a little left. I spray it when I'm in the mood to time travel to that time in my life.

This entire line is cheap and cheerful. The edp bottles are delightful. Love the ombré colored glass, heart-shaped golden seal around the neck and shiny caps. I bought one of each from the collection. At less than $10 a bottle, I feel like you add it to your wardrobe in the way you add a cute t-shirt. They're meant to bring you a bit of color and joy. Fun to layer with scented lotions and body mists. Nothing serious. Are they synthetic smelling at times? Yep. Does it bother me? Not at all. Eau So Fabulous is a bright fruity-floral. The opening is lemony magnolia with a splash of passionfruit. Vanilla florals in the dry down must be the fantasy cattelya orchid - on top of a mild cedar base that is only slightly bracing.

I'm very surprised at how much I like this one. It's kind of same-y to other things I've sampled over the years, but for $3 I didn't expect ground-breaking fragrance. It's a fruity floral, but somehow reads as less sweet and more creamy/fresh on my skin. I definitely get the fruit, but it has a tart edge that modifies the sweet elements, and the florals are gentle and clean without in any way being soapy or aquatic. The wood is a grounding basenote that I don't notice specifically but kind of pins it all together. I have never been a fruity floral fan, though I don't hate them, but this one is exactly what mc13kenzie says: cheap and cheerful, easy to wear like a bright, cheap tee shirt on a summer day. Liking this!! It might help that it's summer right now, which is where this perfume is in it's element, I think.
