Eau So Pretty

I found this little gem at a Canadian Store called Giant Tiger. I guess it was leftover from Christmas because I got it for an excellent deal. I saw the name Love's on it and noticed that the bottle looks quite a bit like that childhood/teen fave of a lot of us, Love's Baby Soft, and wondered if they were related. Then I saw that the bottom of the box said Dana and I did not remember Dana having anything to do with Love's Baby Soft. This led me down a hole of fun history about Love's and Dana, which you might find interesting, but BEYOND THAT, I opened this fragrance and it immediately reminded me of Calvin Klein CK one which I launched while working behind the men's fragrance counter in the 90's. Eau So Pretty is a fresh, light citrus leaning (to my nose but not in the actual notes), excellent light fragrance in a cute little bottle to carry around in your purse. THEN I looked it up and LO AND BEHOLD, who is the NOSE??? DAVID APPEL, the SUPERSTAR who created TOM FORD BLACK ORCHID!!! Well he was one of the noses that created Black Orchid. This cute little fragrance is a very nice, non disturbing, friendly little thing to freshen you up through your day. It is a little friend just when you need it, at school, at the grocery store, at work, at the gym, taking a walk, just a good little all around champ. While it's not my favorite fragrance, I do like it and am glad Dana is now making fragrances for Love's line. I don't think there's anything wrong with indulging in an inexpensive and very useful fragrance, such as Eau So Pretty!

Got this for $2 at a discount store because I thought why not. This is terrible! It smells like flowery laundry detergent, very screechy and synthetic. I don't get jasmine nor any other notes from this. I can't see a person wearing Eau So Pretty as a perfume, maybe use it as a room or bathroom freshener, unfortunately

Eau So Pretty is a woody jasmine on my skin. Except that it's harsher than I typically expect from sandalwood and the jasmine is scrubbed clean of any indoles. My least favorite of the Eau So Love's line. This is the only one I'd worry about over-spraying, as the others are sweeter and lighter on a whole.
