Before I begin, I want to say that the bottle design and notes have changed. This one seems to be about the previous version. I feel like a new page should be created for the new version. The ingredients of the new version are as follows: Top notes: Apple Blossom, Bergamot, Mandarin and Lily of the Valley Middle notes: Iris (Orris), Jasmine, Heliotrope and Rose Base notes: Amber, Musk, Oakmoss, Patchouli and Sandalwood Now, I'll begin my review. I really love this fragrance. It's beautiful, soft, powdery, warm, cozy and silky. At first, I smell the Bergamot, Iris or Orris and something that I can't recognize but I am assuming it is the Apple Blossom. Then Sandalwood dominates the scent under Musk, Orris and Amber and it continues to be that way for the rest of its time. The Sandalwood is what appeals to me the most. It is one of my favourite fragrance. The Sandalwood note reminded me of Shalimar Eau de Parfum by Guerlain. Shalimar has more Citrus note along with the Sandalwood, making it lack the cozy and warm feeling. Anyway, this has become my favourite. Longevity on my skin was 3-4 hours, on clothing over 12 hours. I find this perfume to be ideal for woman over 25. I don't think college girls should wear this. The scent isn't a good recommendation to wear in office. It can be worn for attending events and occasions and also as a daily wear. Season ideal for wearing this, for me, is all season. Maybe because I am from India and Sandalwood smells natural to me so I feel like to wear this scent all season. Sillage is about an arm's length.

Primped and hygienic. Aptly named as this is “scrubbed and powdered for church”, fresh. Makes the statement in close quarters that you are clean, respectful of the air space and friendly. Shares dna with “Love’s Baby Soft” but the addition of gauzy aldehydes and moss makes this womanly. Fraternal twin of “Chantilly” but not as bosomy-musky. This church lady is as winsome as she is wholesome. An ultra soft cloud of incense smoke gives the hint of a little mysterious personal tragedy to this nice lady. Baby powder and spring blossoms blends well with a subtle vanillic and moss base that says it will take some time before you are trusted to be her confidante. Exclusive virtue has its own unique allure. As for season, this is Easter in a bottle. Regarding sillage, this is one of those deceptively clean powder scents that seems compatible with high application until you overspray and recognize that its tenaciousness doesn’t let up on the powder puff, which can be suffocating if you’re dousing every inch. I find this to be both a subtle and long lasting scent on one or two sprays, lingering over the full course of the day with a hint of incense left at night, after about four hours of full strength, which makes it as unusual as it is economical in its performance.

Wow-what a difference a few minutes makes...every time I have ever tested this I have ended up washing it off within 5 minutes:the opening notes are quite harsh and the oakmoss is so overpowering on me as to be almost unbearable.I couldn't stand it!Well I read in the reviews here that many people had issues with the top notes(but it got better)so I figured I'd give it one last shot and boy it was worth it. THIS is what I was looking for in my quest for a baby-powder type scent.I have tried Love's Baby Soft but is is just so harsh on me-this is perfect.Warm, fuzzy and comforting.I like to wear baby lotion at bedtime and this is a perfect scent to accompany it.I am so glad I gave it more time-the top notes are almost sickly sweet on me but thank goodness it passed.LOVE. BTW-had to laugh at the reviewer who said her bottle had a jacked up sticker on it:mine is crooked too...silliness! ETA-I can see a passing resemblance to Chantilly but that is one of my all-time perfume loves and this will never top it for me:)

There should be a separate entry for the Mem version of this. Dana bought Mem if I recall, but I have the bottle pictured here, as well as a mini one that looks to be 1970s-80s; they do not smell the same. Dana version is much lighter and more floral, Mem is more ambery and vanillic. Both are nice, and VERY benzoin-powdery. The Dana bottle is GORGEOUS. I'd like to sample the Rubinstein, but I'd probably only purchase it as part of a lot with other things I want. At this point, 2 versions seems like enough. Closest comparisons are (vintage) Arden Blue Grass or (vintage) Dana Tojours Moi, but Heaven Sent has more intense vanilla notes. Update: I think I'm smelling lots of AMBER, not vanilla, although there IS some vanilla. This is a nice perfume for a sweltering hot day! Smells clean, powdery, and fresh.

Anybody remember the Heaven Sent ads? They spoke about "rainwashed breezes" and "rainbows". Or was it "rainkissed breezes"? Doesn't matter, you get the picture. The ads perfectly captured the perfume's soft, dreamy, lighter than air, romantic quality. Heaven Sent was many a girl's first "grown up" perfume. I hope it is yet. Heaven Sent may have been reformulated but it still has that dreamy quality of softly sweet and spicy flowers and powdery sandalwood. It is still full of innocence and hope, full of dreams that can come true. I bet every little girl(like me) who started with this one still has a bottle of it. And even if she doesn't wear it anymore(unlike me) she still holds it close to her heart.

Man I love this scent, it’s baby powdery but in a very wearable and pleasant way. Like smelling a kittens head. It’s precious. I lost my bottle and have been looking for a replacement. It’s a scent I’d buy over and over again, especially because it’s so cheap! It’s vintage without being old lady like at all. The perfect coquette fragrance on a budget.

This perfume definitely was not launched in 2001. I've been wearing it since I was a teenager. I am 65 years old. My mother used to buy it for us at Christmas time. I am sad that it is discontinued. It's a lovely fragrance that brings back tremendous memories with my mother.
- em inglês
Warm powdery fresh comfort scent. To me Heaven almost smells like a powdery much lighter version of Tabu. This is an after shower hang around the house, before bed scent. Makes me want to hug myself
- em inglês
I vaguely remember this perfume in the drug store in the 1980s. I really liked the bottle and bought it from Ebay really cheap. It is a smooth and lovely perfume. It's quite wearable.
- em inglês
I ADORE this. It's a powdery scent for sure, but there's this mossy sexy layer beneath it. It makes me feel like some forest-nymph-angel-wolf-woman-thing. It's so good.
- em inglês
Smells like Menen baby powder. It's comforting, though it's not a very long lasting fragrance. It's a younger version of Arpege and White Diamonds.
- em inglês
love the virgin suicides commentary! there's a bottle of Coty Chanson D'air too!

I remember this from high school. I don't know what formulation I have, but I just purchased this at Walgreens for 5.00 and it has a swirly glass bottle with the dirt cheapest sticker on it! The label is so awful, and they hardly ever have one on straight! I assume it's done by a machine that needs an adjustment? If this is a job for a human person, I should think they would fire them! From what I can remember, it is quite the same scent it was back then. Of course I don't have much of a memory from way back then, but this scent still pleases me. It's a definite hairspray, musky, clean, annnnd....dated, but just for a short spell. After it's all settled, 15-30 minutes later, it's suitable for any age and quite powdery. This is pretty strong with huge sillage at the start so I just walk as I spray so I don't get a snoot full and wreak the scent for myself. It settles rather quickly and you can smell it for quite a long time on yourself, so I would think others will smell it far longer than you will yourself...long lasting to be sure. This is worth every penny for those of us liking hairsprayish scents. To compare this to something so you can imagine, I'd say, Johnson's Baby Shampoo....yeah, a bit similar to Moonlight Path and also Jovan Musk or maybe Estee by Estee Lauder. This is cheap happines!
- em inglês
I also purchased this as Fragaria had - a gift set at Walgreens for $5.00, mine last year after the Christmas of 2011. Out of nostalgia , I suppose. I remember it being more of a Chantilly meets Loves Baby Soft. I gave Heaven Scent to female teachers as a gift for the holidays when I was in grade school, and so wanted a bottle for myself. I finally had received one when I was a teen, in a mini set. It is not quite what I remember. It isn`t as soft as it once was. It seems more strong and harsh. I do not dislike it. I might grab for it, if I remember that it`s sitting way back behind my other fragrances ( it`s a tall bottle,3.4 edp, and yes, label is stuck on crooked ) after I have one of those days that after a shower I need the comfort and smoothness of baby powder. I will layer with some of the lotion - also strong- and baby powder. I keep this as an 'in house' scent. I do not wear this out for some reason that I cannot put my finger on... It does not seem to go anywhere...maybe that`s it, it stays and stays, doesn`t power down, does not change, when I want it to soften up more. More of a pajama scent to me when I want a little extra. I spray lightly.

The first time I tried this it was a big no, and it went right into the giveaway box. But something made me go save it, and I tried it again. Surprisingly I liked it. I thought it was really nice and soft and comforting the initial citrus blast is fresh and perky and not bitter at all. This may be TMI for some people but depending on where I am in my cycle I can love or hate a fragrance. I must have tried this one at the wrong time the first time. I have had a hysterectomy, because of that I never know where I am in regards to my cycle. But just looking at one that may bring trouble is usually enough to for me to know it's not the right time for that kind of scent. Sorry if that's too much for some of you, but I think biology and hormones play a big role in scent enjoyment. I'm glad I gave this one another chance. It's cheap and cheerful and just right for drifting off to dreamland after a nice bath, however, it's safe enough for work too. Not straight up baby powder like some of its "sister" scents (love's etc).

This is the dumbed down version of Helena Rubinstein's classic scent. Think I'm being harsh? Compare the perfume pyramids and notes. Really. Go look. Original notes were Neroli, Bergamot, Amalfi Lemon, Orange, Mint, Carnation, Ylang-Ylang, Rose, Lily-of-the-Valley, Vetiver, Sandalwood, Patchouli, Oakmoss, Amyris, Benzoin, and Musk. Dana's cheap rip-off contains Apple Blossom, Bergamot, Mandarin Orange, Jasmine, Rose, Lily-of-the-Valley, Patchouli, Oakmoss, Musk, and Sandalwood. Perhaps, if all you have is the half-forgotten memory of the vintage perfume, Dana's approximation of Heaven Sent might remind you of the original. But I've had them side by side, and there is no comparison. Next to the real stuff, Dana's smells cheap. And I am not a perfume snob. I do not have a super refined nose. But to me, the difference is night and day. Do yourself a favor and hunt down Helena Rubinstein's Heaven Sent on Ebay.

I bought this a few months ago but just got around to wearing this today as I thought it wouldn't go well with the extremely long, hot summer we were having. This is really nice. I could swear there is incense in this but according to the notes listed above there isn't. The base notes of musk and the patch are definitely the strongest here, can't make out any citrus and the flowers are very much in the background. I just initially sprayed one spray to my inner forearm and then forgot about it and it kept wafting up to my nose for the next several hours and surprised me how long it lasted for a real cheapie, about six dollars I believe I paid. I bought two of them, intending one to be a gift but maybe I will keep both! I will definitely be wearing this more as the cooler weather takes hold very soon. It's lovely.

My review is for the pre-reformulated version. It was soft, comfy, innocent, a bit powdery, delicate, and very feminine. I loved wearing this because it always made me feel so girly and pretty. I have seen the reformulated version in the stores around holiday time but I'm too afraid to try it, knowing it has likely been ruined by the current manufacturer. EDIT: I ended up with a small bottle of the new version from a gift set. I determined that my old bottle was made by MEM. I never tried the Helena Rubenstein version. The new one by Dana starts off with a bright burst of citrus which quickly dissipates, then goes through a phase where there is a bit of a bitter note, and settles into a similar drydown as my old MEM version. This all happens in a matter of an hour.

Heaven Sent has been my mother's signature for as long as I can remember. My grandmother always purchased her a bottle for her birthday and when she passed I took up the tradition. Reviewers that say it has a powerful kick are not wrong. With the first spritz the entire room fills with a soft powdery smell. It gives my sister a headache, but it has never bothered me. I prefer powdery feminine perfumes to this day and believe it is because I have a strong emotional reaction to Heaven Sent. I'd go so far as to say this a classic must own for fans of baby soft, sweet perfumes.
- em inglês
Powdery for sure, and sweet from the floral notes. I'm getting some subtle complexity from the musk, moss, and patchouli I think, also the apple blossom is a bit uncommon in my fragrance experience. More present and persistent than I expected from this, which I appreciate. I enjoy smelling it on myself and for quite awhile. Other reviewers mention incense, which I hadn't noticed, but now that I'm looking for it I'm guessing they're referring to an unburnt sandalwood cone of incense, not smokey burning incense. That impression makes sense to me. I like this quite a lot!

This is my wife’s signature scent, and actually the only real fragrance she has. She isn’t a fan of wearing fragrances like myself, but this is the one she has worn since we met a long time ago. This is a classic, powdery, subdued floral fragrance. It also reminds of an unassuming woman turning into a werewolf and running through the forest leaving a faint olfactory sensation behind to be -possibly captured. Luring you in as you follow the scent trail. There is nothing bad to be said about this fragrance, and the original DNA is over 100 years old.
- em inglês
I wore this perfume from 1971 until 1980. Multiple bottles in that time. Now here we are. 2022. and I just received this version by Dana. Heaven Scent was my first perfume. While this newer version is not the original by Helena Rubenstein, this version is very close. Ultra soft powdery florals, a touch of citrus with the warmth of amber and sandalwood. I am very satisfied with Dana's version. I was fully prepared to throw this version out immediately if I was disappointed. I am keeping this. I intend to enjoy this fragrance.
- em inglês
I had a bottle of Heaven Sent as a pre-teen in the early 80's. I don't know if it was still under the Helena Rubinstein name at that time. Even though I didn't remember much about the fragrance, I knew I had to add it to my collection. I now have the current Dana version. I can see why this was gifted to me as a young girl. It's very soft, gentle, and feminine. A powdery, musky, and mossy floral. Loving it. So pretty!
- em inglês
I wore this in the 70's. Its been around for a long time. No doubt its been reformulated. For the life of me I can't remember who made the one I wore back in the day, I expect Helena Rubinstein. I remember I liked it back then. It was soft and pleasnt, not heavy. Very fresh to me. I wish they would leave scents alone. Why do they reformulate them anyway?
- em inglês
It's so sophisticated for it's time of release, I remember aughts scents on a budget were mostly nauseating, but this one... I can get behind. Pure nostalgia, reminds me of sleepovers at my grammy's house as a little kid. 8/10. A sophisticated, everyday choice for going out.
- em inglês
I am so surprised that incense is not listed as a note. At first spray an incense-y note is so prominent. With the name Heaven Sent and the angelic looking bottle, you do not expect such a strong opening, but it does settle down fairly soon. This is lovely.
- em inglês
Wow, I get straight up incense from the first blast. Incense and baby powder and some patchouli and sandalwood, rather faint florals in the background, no fruits to be found. I know incense is not in the notes but this is very incense-y to me lol.
- em inglês
PERFUME SWAP OPPORTUNITY! I have a nearly-full 2oz bottle of this. It’s not a spray bottle. Still smells nice, so I don’t think it turned, but I’m not sure what it originally was supposed to smell like. Bottle is just beautiful.
- em inglês
I'm another one who had this in the late 80's early 90's..I remember it being rosey/musky/powdery..I had the swirly bottle with the white & blue cap.
- em inglês
The only thing I use this for is spraying my pillowcases.Doesnt last.Too mild for me.
- em inglês
Powdery and uncomplicated. A classic and nostalgic scent.
- em inglês
Clean and powdery but also strong. A good type of strong, not cloying and it still maintains it's softness. I'm personally biased in aging this mentally because I know this smell as a smell that older ladies would wear in church but it's honestly so soft and versatile I think any age could actually wear it. It does smell a little dated but nothing too bad. Would never guess the original formula is from the 40's without reading it! It won't be one I wear all the time but I do not dislike it by any means. Most likely would use as a going to sleep perfume because it's so comforting.
- em inglês
I never wore this, but a lot of my classmates did when I was growing up. When I saw that they were selling this at practically give away prices, curiosity got the better of me and I purchased a bottle in the twisty design. I do not know where this formulation is in comparison to the original. I suspect it is one of the latest formulations. First spray on opening the box and this literally took my breath away. I mean literally – and not in a good way either. It knocked the breath right out of my lungs. Ugh! What the hell chemical is in here anyway?! If it is aldehydes it is unlike any aldehydes I've ever smelled in a perfume before. I waited a few minutes but it was still there, and heavy powder and lemon notes showed up to mix in with the nuclear level bomb blast. I really couldn't get beyond that and had to wash it off. Yuck! This never really was my cup of tea, but I don't ever remember it smelling like this. If that's what women and girls had to put up with just to get to the dry down, they are braver people than me. My hat's off to them! I need to remember that old saying about curiosity killing the cat and apply it to perfume purchases as well. No disrespect to lovers of this scent, but this was just awful to me. Thankfully, it was supercheap, so no great loss there.
- em inglês
I'm sorry but... Eww! I tried this as well as smelled it on someone so I know this definitely is not my body chemistry, or lack of, when it comes to this version of Heaven Sent. This is so far from the original Helena Rubinstein's version it's not even funny. I agree with previous reviews that say that it's very misleading to release a (superbly mediocre) fragrance under the name many of us "geezers" know and trust. Isn't there some copyright law against this? My fond memory of the original, Helena Rubinstein's Heaven Sent is that of soothing powdery and yet crispy fresh fragrance in a tall, "swirly" glass bottle with a turquoise blue cap with little cherubs on it. The fragrance was just lovely, and I wore it for several years back in the early eighties. This new imposter version by Dana is nothing like the original one; different scent, completely different bottle, cheezy looking and smelling even worse. Why do they always have to take a good thing and frack it up?!?
- em inglês
I've been trying old drug store perfumes lately and honestly, I don't hate this one. However I do remember hating the one that was around in the eighties. I don't even remember what it smells like, I just remember that at that time in my life I equated it with prudish church ladies and wanted nothing to do with it, lol. Anyway, back to the Dana version: It still conjures images of "good girls" (ah, the ways we are influenced by marketing and packaging). It's really light and airy. Starts out as a musky citrus and then turns vaguely powdery. It's not my favorite but it seems like it would be good for summer right after a shower, possibly a cozy bedtime perfume while wearing a shapeless, non revealing, floral, little girl / old fashioned nightgown.
- em inglês
If the people at Dana wanted to make a fortune on this fragrance, then all they had to do when they purchased the rights to manufacture it was the leave the formula just as Helena Rubenstein created it. Instead, they made an entirely new perfume and stuck the name "Heaven Sent" on it. I say they ought to be sued for false advertising because -- far from being heavenly -- this swill ascends straight from the very bowels of hell!!! There is nothing, I repeat, NOTHING about it that even vaguely recalls the faintest similarity to the original. It smells like a skunked-down version of Cachet. Absolutely atrocious.
- em inglês
There seems to be some confusion about who made Heaven Sent first - Dana or Helena Rubenstein. Helena Rubenstein launched this awesomeness in 1941 and discontinued some time after the 1990s. Dana's version came around a few years later and is NOT the same.
- em inglês
I wore Heaven Sent when i was a kid in the mid 80s. It was soft powdery and pleasant. The bottle i have now is like that, only add sharp, sweaty feet smell to that. This has been on my arm for 30 minutes and it is just not good on me at all
- em inglês
Loved this powder bomb perfume until I had kids. Now I can't wear anything powdery. This smells like those highly scented baby wipes, so was dreamy and angelic like before being a parent. After kids: I smell like a nappy bag
- em inglês
Im sort of confused by this one...the notes listed seem like it would be nice but all i get is talc baby powder smell...literally! Straight up baby powder! Its weird! I do not like this.....
- em inglês
My mom used to buy this for me when I was younger. I didn't like it at all, but still every Christmas I would get a new bottle because I "lost" the last one. Heaven Sent is a misnomer!
- em inglês
i agree with other reviewers that there was another heaven sent/scent. i think it was more powdery and chantilly comes to mind as if they were alike.....?
- em inglês
It smells like baby powder, which is good, if you happen to like baby powder. I, however, do not.

Ok this is where I’m brutally honest! And I must say I was literally shocked to see how many people liked this perfume 😮!? I do have a lot of associations with certain perfumes from the 70s and 80s growing up, maybe unfairly? But I really don’t think so!? I mean I loved everything on my grandma’s table, to my mother’s to my auntie’s perfumes and my uncle, grandpa etc... I pretty much loved everyone in my family’s perfume! Except for most of my moms choices (she like very dark almost smoky perfumes, she also like some musks of the day but I mostly hated her selection there was like two or three that I loved the rest I hated because she was a Marigold/tagate lover, she also loved anything really dry and powdery! I did not But thinking back to everything that I was exposed to in the 70s and 80s it’s all the ones we’ve heard before; from my grandmother I learned about Chanel, YSL Rive Gauche (I so felt like buying that today and that is a very dry cold perfume but there’s something about that one I do love) youth dew, cinnabar, opium, white linen, white shoulders (ouch my head tho) Beautiful, Oscar De La Renta all the usual suspects. Most of grandma’s I loved! She tended to wear a lot of spicy and I loved spicy!! uncle was Jovan Musk dude. Some Aramis, grey flannel and I loved Old Spice! So I have wonderful memories of becoming aware of scents and perfumes as a kid-teen! BUT, sorry not this one? As I was reading other people’s memories of it I felt really bad but I detested this one so much this was a hate! It was an instant headache giver for me, there was nothing about it that drew me IN? nothing appealed to me I found it very Hey like? a bit cold dry? I literally would picture a tumbleweed (which is kind of funny cause it does have oakmoss in it but I like oakmoss most of the time!? Sadly they kept giving me this perfume!! ( so my review is based off of the 80s (1980 through like 86) ... I was definitely too polite to say anything so I just said thank you.. 😬 Why did I keep getting this as a gift??? My name is Heaven, and so my mom and random family, would buy me this yearly! “Ha ha look the bottle says Heaven” 🙄 I hated this! Ha but I was always nice to people!! so they had no clue. I think my mom finally figured it out three years later but the rest of the family didn’t know 🤭 I wish they just bought me Jeanaté at 10! I didn’t know as a child what the notes were? You can’t smell the florals, no sweetness no vanilla no amber nothing but dry sooo dry I could FEEL how powdery this was! To me, it smelled like unscented or lightly scented baby powder rolled in some skanky hey? Instant headache giver for me also. finally at 16 I was able to make my own perfume choice and my first perfume in 1986 was Diors Poison! Later Addict... then Coco Chanel edt? opium.. That is all...
- em inglês
At 11 I was gifted this as it was my namesake...I hated it!! But now as a grown woman going back over the scents I hated? Oakmoss! And I still despise it to this day! It has to be hidden or buried within things...but that’s ok we’re all different and love different things! I’m just glad I know which note to stay away from!

This is my second review of this perfume, as it is my second "go round" with it. Received a new bottle of it, and this time around I have to say I love it. The first time I tried it, there seemed to be an acrid tang to it that just didn't go well on my skin. Must of been a bad batch, because the bottle gifted to me is so much better (same bottle, think it is same formulation). Sure, there is a little bit of a citrus tang to it on first spray, but after a few minutes, wow! Soft and powdery, and something in it that reminds me of a lavender bath soap we used to buy when I was little. Not quite Love's Baby Soft, nor is it Chantilly. Almost as if the two of them decided to have a child. The sillage isn't so strong, either. Maybe I had a bad bottle or my chemistry has changed. Maybe it is the lotion (slightly powdery scent to it) that I wear under it. Whatever it is, this makes a wonderful scent to wear to work. (One of our managers does not like it when I wear Youth Dew or Cinnabar). This was a big hit. Ms. "I hate perfume" Manager actually mentioned how nice I smell. Sometimes you just got to try something a second time, or even a third.

I bought a holiday 5 pack of Dana's classic perfumes JUST for Heaven Sent. I'm a big fan of Love's Baby Soft and based on reviews Heaven Sent seems to be the Pepsi to their Coke. It's a little more citrusy than expected. I'm used to the pure powder of Baby Soft so the bergamont and orange in this really stand out to me. I find it funny that so many reviewers blast this for smelling too much like baby powder, because I would prefer a stronger powder smell from this. A little heavier on the musk and floral notes and less on the citrus would make this more to my liking. This is a nice scent though, and what I was expecting based on the ads from the 80s I saw. A teenage girl in her sunday best with a halo. This is for those whose parents wouldn't allow to wear Tabu or Channel. Very clean, light, airy and unoffensive. Still, I'm team Baby Soft. Although I might try and seek out a vintage bottle of this and see how it holds up as Dana is famous for taking liberties with their acquired perfumes.

I ordered a bottle of this based on reviews at Fragantica. Wanted a more long lasting, "powdery" scent, a little stronger than Love's Baby Soft. So when I get this I also got one big disappointment. Powder? No way! At first spritz there is a sharp, acrid smell to it. Wanted to wash it off right away, but decided to wait for the "dry down" scent. Half hour later not as acrid, but still kind of sharp. It smells to me like I spritzed an off bottle of Chantilly. The lotion that came with it though, was pretty decent. Maybe after a few uses it will grow on me, but probably will just reach for the Baby Soft instead. I can tell there might be complaints at work if I wear this. Okay, amending my first review. Not bad if you spritz it in the air and walk into it, don't spray directly on your skin. Finally got the powder scent to it, and the sharpness isn't as strong. Not bad after all. You just have to give it an hour or two.

I have the Dana version in the hourglass shaped bottle, purchased several years ago. This is one I remember from my childhood/ teenage years, although in the 80s, I don’t think this one was as popular for my age group, as much as Love’s Baby Soft or Avon Sweet Honesty, which came out in the early 70s and were still very popular at the time. Those 3 scents often get compared to each other, but to me they had a similar vibe in the sense that they all probably attracted the same type of girl, but the scents were 3 different things. Today’s version doesn’t have discernible notes to me, like the Helen Rubinstein version did. This probably smells as close to the scent of Johnson’s Baby powder as anything ever could. I don’t really get any of the floral notes, or the woodsy or musk notes on the dry down. Basically, it just stays smelling like powder to me. I’d love to try the Helen Rubinstein version again, though.
