Amberula

First of all, I'd like to congratulate Daniel by the choice of the name, not only Amberula's, but all of the collection. They are very creative and fits perfectly with the concepts! It could be just another patchouly-Ambery perfume, but it has something really special. The spicy notes were very well worked and dosed, so that they stand out without stealing the scene, but harmonizing with the other ingredients and making the fragrance richer and not too sweet or cloying. The woodsy balsamic touch of Myrrh and Oppoponax also gives a dry tone, contrasting with the liqueur facet, what makes the perfume easily shareable, mysterious (as the orientals should be) and classy.

Never had a Amarula but to me the opening was quite a bit more fresh and fruity than I was expecting.. It kinda reminded me of some kinda orange candy as a kid. But not like a starburst that as a kid you want to eat. But the candy "older" people like. Maybe something like a orange slice, or one of those hard orange candy liquor things? Its hard for me to pinpoint exactly because as a kid well im more of a cherry kinda dude and these are not the candies I wanted to eat. Whatever the case not my kinda orange candy. This doesnt last for to long though and then what I got is something along the lines of well the most recent fragrance I can think of is armani code profumo. Which I like so I could you could say after the opening which is lost on me personally, I like it. Performance was decent. Overall very wearable and besides the opening I enjoyed it quite a bit.

Mouthwatering Amber, loosened up with fresh Fruits & Flowers. One of my favorites from this house! Extremely enjoyable and you always want to get back to the test stripe.
