Green Leather

I literally had no idea who Daniel Josier was when I saw his display in a fragrance store. The salesman that day was pushy and overbearing, so I agreed to try a couple of the scents just to get him to shut up for a minute or two. I tried this, Ambre Tabac and Josune. I was carrying the scent strips around with me as I looked at some other frags, but I could not stop smelling the Josier fragrances. I tried Green Leather on one hand and Josune on the other and was immediately convinced I had to have these masterpieces! Super high quality with incredible performance and I couldn't get those frags off of my mind. I bought Green Leather for myself and gave the Josune to my wife. We are both very happy with them and I will now investigate Josier's line. Green Leather has more depth than Ombre Leather, at least to my nose. I wear both, but reach for Green Leather much more often and enjoy it more, overall. It just seems to provide far more versatility than the Tom Ford. Smelled this one today and having a few regrets about not picking it up. I don’t think it’s similar to what people describe it as on fragrantica. Smells like a plum/apple/raspberry/oak bomb in the open which dries down to the cleanest powdery suede leather. The open reminded me so much of Single Malt without the booze. In the drydown it has some Tuscan leather characteristics for sure. It’s for sure a very high quality fragrance but.... Unfortunately I feel that the longevity is exaggerated. This is also one of those fragrances at smaller brick mortar shops where it’s BOGO 1/2. I don’t think it is worth the $160 usd that the brand is asking but I would gladly pay $100-120 usd. Longevity was about 6 hours max. It really projects for the first 30 minutes to one hour. Incredible scent profile. Honestly it’s very unique and doesn’t smell cheap at all. It’s a true multidimensional fragrance. Scent 10/10 Longevity 6/10 Performance 6/10 Value 6/10 Let me reiterate that the smell is out of this world!

I really love this, I think it matches me very much. I'm not too well-versed in the lingo/terminology but ill give it a shot. The opening is very Raspberry fruity, and I love it. At the same time, the Saffron is right behind it and adds a tang I like a lot as well. Once it dried down, after an hour, the Saffron definitely was above the raspberry and the leather, suede, incense, and amber just smelt good on me. Again my nose picks up that saffron extremely well and it definitely isn't for everyone but I just keep smelling my shirt and wrists throughout the day. I wake up early and apply around 5:10ish, which lasted my whole day with it being just a hint when smelt up close around 4:30 pm and onward till it faded. I am a light sprayer as the people around me have sensitive noses and will tell me when I put too much (One spray on the chest/ neck and half a spray for each wrist). Overall I love it, and when the time comes to buy it again I will 100% buy the 100mL.

Holy Master Perfumer, what a number this is! This is a sassy number. WONDERFUL. Let me say it once more: W O N D E R F U L! Tarty, green most definitely, as in unripen berries - which I love of raspberries in particular - and leathery just a tad. It's vibrant, fresh and energising, and at the same, cozy. I did not detect thymes, but assumed part of the freshness came from its backing act. No saffron, at least not so marked. As for jasmine, I could detect a light, very pleasant and cooling note but I wouldn't connect the two. The floral note here is really subtle, in the background all along. This is a ride on tarty raspberry and smooth, well used leather (not suede). Absolute love from me! The quality of ingredients is incredible, I will buy more of this house for sure! 10 for longevity and sillage, which is not suffocating or aggressive but persistent with consistency. I woke up the day after still able to smell its delicious core. Try to believe, it's a gem!

#1288 in my "Tour de Fragrance" This is a premium quality suede scent. 98% like Tom Ford "Tuscan Leather Intense", but they've thrown in some thyme and toned down the raspberry that's so fruity in the Tom Ford that I only wear on dinner dates. For me this is slightly more masculine. This stuff is long-lasting and it projects. Not for tight spaces with others that don't want to breathe your fragrance. It will definitely get noticed. Not car pool, elevator or small office appropriate. If you wear it to the office, go easy. Actually clings to your clothing for a couple of days. It's pricey at $180. If you can spend the money for Tom Ford, get this instead. If you can't, Rasasi "La Yuqawam" and "Marha Pour Homme", Maison Alhambra "Tuscany Leather", Swiss Arabian "Attar Al Ghutra" and Flavia "Italian Leather", all get you pretty close, though I find the raspberry synthetic and overly dominant in the clone scents.

Green Leather is a real stand out fragrance from the house. The Leather base in this is somewhat similar to what you see in TF Ombre Leather but otherwise is a quite different scent. It's opening is fresh, sweet and sparkly, bringing to mind some kind of chilled raspberry dessert but quickly settling into a slightly smoky spicy leather but maintaining the sweetness from the top. The drydown is a woodsy suede that's very sexy and long lasting. I get 8+ hours and good projection in the first few. Even though the leather accord in this is similar to TF Ombre Leather and Tuscan Leather, this takes it in a different direction to make a fresh, sweet, playful scent that really sets it apart. I wore this all spring and most of the summer when it isn't too hot, but honestly would work in the winter too. Off my skin, it can get a bit cloying in the high heat, but overall VERY versatile. Can't recommend it enough.

I don't know of any fragrance to compare this to but this Green Leather and Ambre Tabac reignited my passion for fragrances and inspired me to join Fragrantica. At first whiff I was smitten. Sweet, fruity and a little bit floral and powdery. Definitely has some layers to this frag. Upon first blast you notice the raspberry, then its smell mellows into almost a Double Bubble bubble gum, chalky sweet, then the florals begin to shine. I should mention that I haven't picked up on any of the leather/suede notes. I applied two sprays behind each ear this winter and on my wrists. This fragrance has real staying power. I love the way this smells, very pleasant and uplifting, or as another commenter put it "mesmerizing." I don't feel that this is an easy fragrance to go blind to and notice it throughout the day upwards of 12 hours. Go easy with this line of parfum- especially as the weather warms up.

I'm not sure where this CH comparison is coming from at all. The complexity of the fragrance is in no way similar to the sharpness of the CH. This is very refined in its sweetness, not gourmand in any way, with the leather being a smoother blend than any I've tried before. It's almost to the sweetness of the Wanted by Azzaro, without the heaviness it brings. While this leans more masculine to me, I still pull it out in extreme weather temperatures, cold winter and hot summer. During the cold, it takes on this juicy freshness thanks to the raspberry and thyme. The summer however? Whew that's when the spicy saffron and incense reign supreme. I will say the longevity is another thing I love about it, just when you think you can't smell it anymore, here comes a soft hint of it throughout the day. Not too overpowering. Sillage is perfect.

Green Raspberry Leather Green Leather opens with sweet raspberry but throughout there is only a fruity hint. ⁠ ⁠ The scent itself evokes to me a slightly sweet maté with an incensy woody leathery base. I haven’t smelled anything like it before. The thyme gives the green effect. The jasmine and saffron aren’t prominent here. ⁠ ⁠ It’s entirely unisex and the quality is amazing. No synthetic base, the composition smells refined and natural. The sillage is moderate, and the longevity is good. Works very well on me on hot evenings. Just how I like it. ⁠ ⁠ Overall I’m impressed by the price / quality ratio of this brand, and I might be back for more soon. ⁠

For some reason, I thought this will be a dense, heavy fragrance but it's actually light and airy. A great fruity leather scent that can be worn day and night. The beginning is very fruity almost candied but there's a slight bitterness (read that as green) that makes its presence known too. This is a good introduction to leather scents. But you should like fruity scents if you're going to blind buy this. And the fruits don't smell over ripe but fresh. There's a slight floral touch too. Nothing heady. Overall, very happy with my purchase (was a blind buy and a first from this house) and will be trying more fragrances from this brand.

Imagine James Dean just blew by you on his bike, and you smelled the leather from his jacket punching you in the face as it danced with the scent the setting sun makes as it says good night to the greenery around you. Suddenly, up ahead, you find that he's pulled over and he insists on shaking your hand and declaring it was nothing personal... because, after all, he is a gentleman, and his gift to you is this scent. Wear it! Declare it! And above all...don't apologize for being a man! Wear this and be a gentleman, and you will DESTROY any woman you come in contact with...in the best possible way!!!!!

Spent 2 hours in a fragrance outlet this past weekend just to try out things that I wanted to try. The sales girl was awesome and helpful an surprised at my knowledge, even more surprised when I showed her a picture of my selection. She ended up showing me Green Leather, Ambre Tabac, and Josune just to get my opinion.....needless to say I leftwith Green Leather, Ambre Tabac, and Night de Paris Fiori, and been spraying them on ever since. She took my number to call me when the main 2 I went in to check on come in, and I told her have a Josune ready to go as well. These fragrances are just outstanding.

Just to clear the air here a bit, this is not a Tuscan leather clone or inspiration. I've owned TL, I also own OUD Saphir by Atelier cologne which does pay homage to TL. This however, is very much it's own unique scent. Fragrantica seems to be me missing the proper notes, not to their fault but the notes aren't exactly easily attainable. But after speaking to the owner and perfumer of this brand in their store in Barcelona. Green apple, florals, red berries and leather accord's are indeed part of this fragrance. I very much do get the green apple scent on my skin.

So I have worn my decant 20x or more this year and this just astonishing. Flirty fun and light going. It gives off chill vibes for any time of the year. Strong enough to cut through Winter temps but not so heavy to be cloying in the Summer sun. You see the notes so you know to expect some sort of Tuscan Leather inspiration and that's exactly what it is hence a bit of greeness to avoid being a total copy. Long lasting and projects is arms length for up to 5 or 6 hours on my skin. Great for outgoing and fun filled people rather than introverts IMHO.

Green Leather is delicious juicy raspberry, soft and creamy suede (not rough leather but very refined leather), sweet amber and saffron. I absolutely love this, especially for spring (with this beautiful fruity note of raspberry) and autumn (when you start using some suede and leather garments). It's my fave from the line, undoubtedly! An amazing fragrance🤩super long lasting and leaves a pleasant trail as you move... I adore it.

Similar to ch man but def not the same outstanding performance you can smell good quality materials in this beautiful fragrance recommended 100% i think this could even be used well in cooler summer nights Smell-9/10 Value-9/10 Versatility-9/10 Performance- 10/10 Uniqueness-8/10 Overall-9.5/10

This helps me to achieve my goal aka my username. Kinda disappointed I have yet to receive compliments on it but I love how I smell with it on so that's fine. Very very sweet and fruity smell from the get go but the dry down smells pretty smooth(not sure how to properly explain it).

Green leather is a very impeccable name, because though it's fruity, it feels green with leather as the prominent note. I cannot smell the individual notes here, but i can tell that it's yummy, and it's a compliment getter. Moderate silage with 12 hours longevity.

Can't at all compare this to Tuscan Leather. TL is a very much in your face leather scent, that can easily become too much if one is not careful. Green Leather is a hell of a lot more pleasant and smooth, and not like being punched in the face with a leather bag.

Green leather indeed :) tart herbs and bright cooling spices mixed with lovely leather and some dry woods in the base. It also has a good amount of sweetness and a touch of smokiness that makes it multidimensional and balanced. Nice! Follow me on ig: scent.guide

This is absolutely pure class in a bottle, I tried this for the first time today and I was mesmerized. This is what a man with presence and confidence feels like, I got a decant and I think I will pull the trigger on a full bottle soon.

Not getting the raspberry top note at all, which is fine by me. Just goes immediately to a clean floral-saffron-wood, and I love it. Probably going to be my go-to frag for fall and spring.

To this day I’m grateful for the salesman at Purfumania for showing me Green leather. This fragrance was something different. I immediately purchased. You can’t go wrong with this.

My favorite fragrance of all time. Fruity, smooth suede, and just a classy experience overall. Crazy underrated line from a master perfumer.

Picked this up in person at a local frag store in Chicago (tested it first) and honestly didn’t expect it to smell like this. It’s definitely unique, kinda fruity, and leans a little feminine for me, and I’m 25, so I thought I’d be fine. But it pulled compliments at the bar, had to spray it 6–8 times and standing semi-close to people definitely helped my case. It opens with a strong raspberry hit almost as if you walked into a fruit bowl? And the whole green leather note they mention? I hardly get that at all. I was expecting something more masculine, not full on fruit ninja ras ed.. The oddest part is the dry-down. It fades a little faster than most summer or fruity scents I’ve tried, around 4 to 5 hours max in the air, even when it’s over-sprayed. For the price, I wouldn’t recommend it, but I’ll give credit where it’s due!! The scent profile really is different and makes it unique. I only use it for fun, sometimes formal occasions w/ clients when I want to smell unique. Scent: 9 Performance: 7 Quality/Price: 6 (Too expensive but an awesome unique frag) Overall: 8 :)

I don’t get much leather at all until the late dry down. What I smell is an initial burst of Green Jolly Rancher. That just lasts for a good two hours, a sharp sweetness with a fruity tang. Then it smooths down to a subtle aromatic berry accord. Then later on becomes a very tame leather with fruit. Not bad at all but not very complex and a little juvenile. Definitely gets compliments but seems designed for a younger crowd

If by "Green" you mean money, then yes, this smells of splendor... The raspberry tart and suede is ugly, yet remarkably attractive. David Packouz from War Dogs wears this.

Smells like fruit, berry flavored hookah mixed with leather. Nice, more on the unisex side.

Me aburre, sinceramente. Tiene poco verde y nada de cuero. Es una fragancia que siento hueca, sin mucha vida ni interés. De hecho me huele como a droguería o perfumería, como si en la alfombra de la entrada se hubiesen quedado todos los olores de anteriores probadores. No es que sea desagradable, pero gustándome tanto como me gustan los perfumes, preferiría que cualquier persona oliera a ropa limpia, e incluso el olor natural de las personas, antes que a esto. La frambuesa es la peor parte, pero pasa rápido. Y para que sólo huela a incienso (y encima no muy bueno) prefiero llevar incienso puro tal cual. Aunque no tenga nada que ver, aprovecho para animar a la gente a que use esencias, aparte de fragancias, más a menudo: Sobre la piel las esencias sí tienen desarrollo.

The reviews below me made me want to seek out Green Leather. I was expecting a complex leather scent, but unfortunately, to me, this is really quite boring. It is far from unique, it smells very mainstream and not dissimilar to the cheap and nasty $20 fragrances you can buy at the pharmacy. The raspberry is the dominant note, which gives it an overly sweet and sickly accord. It makes you smell like you've rubbed a raspberry gummy lolly over your body. There's little to no development to speak of, and the promised leather never materialises with any impact. It lasts very well (especially on clothes, unfortunately). Perhaps this may be suited to a younger, under 25 demographic. To my nose, it smells very common and not at all special.

Golgotronx The 1st review has never smelled this fragrance. Because they saw raspberry they automatically assumed Tuscan leather BUT! that couldn't be further from the truth. Green Leather isn't even in the same Galaxy or Dimension as Tuscan leather they share absolutely NOTHING and I mean NOTHING in common. I OWN A BOTTLE of both and Green leather is a Candied, fruity and barely any leather at all. In fact I really can't pick up the leather if I'm being honest.....maybe in the dydown it peaks its head out but this is completely unique and does not smell like any other fragrance. Although it's unique it isn't worth the price at all and it smells like a designer. Performance is below average and as a collector with 800+ bottles I really advise you guys to pass on this if you are looking for a great " Leather " fragrance. This is a great candy, fruity, sweet playful sorta green fragrance with maybe 1 drop of a leather accord blended in

I tried it carefully because I had read that it was a proposal that Daniel Josier presented to the selection that Tom Ford opened to create his Tuscan Leather, a perfume that I find very difficult to enjoy. But when I sprayed it I discovered a perfume that I found pleasant. I think it is a delicious perfume, even for people like me who have some difficulty with the leather note. A couple of things to keep in mind about this scents are that it has a lot of sweetness, especially in the initial hours, so I think it is only suitable for those who enjoy sweet scents, and that it is (at least to my nose) somewhat linear. Here the leather does not feel rough at all. We are not in a tannery but in a quality leather workshop where the leather has already been refined and worked with care. The leather is strongly accompanied by a very juicy raspberry that the predominant note, unlike in Tom Ford's perfume in which it is the leather that leads the composition. I perceive a few pinches of saffron and thyme seasoning the perfume and a touch of incense, but my nose does not capture the rest of the notes listed. Although it is perfectly unisex, for me it has something more inclined to the masculine gender that is difficult for me to explain, I suppose it is mainly because it reminds me in some way of my father's scent. It has excellent projection and lasts more than 10 hours on my skin. For me it is a very good perfume, extremely elegant and pleasant that, although I like to wear it, I would like more to feel it on my partner, who unfortunately finds it too sweet for his taste. This is an INCREDIBLE leather fragrance. Daniel Josier's fragrances are pricey compared to your high street designers, but they aren't that pricey when you enter the world of niche. In my opinion they're worth the asking price as he seems to be knocking each one out of the park. This is like the far superior version of Tom Ford Tuscan Leather. What I didn't like about Tuscan Leather is that it's too much leather and not enough rasberry. This fragrance fixes that problem. It has a very pronounced juicy, wet rasberry note along with to my nose rasberry leaf, which together make it smell green (hence the term 'green leather'). This is a green fruity fragrance that isn't too sweet or cloying and is perfect for summers as well. Nabeel's Macho Man attar (a a Tuscan Leather clone that can be bought for $5) is somewhat similar due to the pronounced rasberry note with leather, but Macho Man has more of a chocolatey and warm vibe to it while Daniel Josier's Green Leather is far more fresh. As it dries down, I smell more of the leather but the rasberry still persists. And to be clear, this is not smoky at all like Tuscan Leather, but more of an easy-going fresh fragrance. I think it's in the same family of fresh rasberry fragrances like Creed's Original Santale and Montblanc's Individuel. In fact owning one of those would probably make a purchase of this redundant. Sillage is moderate but leaning strong while longevity is fairly good. Overall, this is a great fragrance which on scent alone I enjoy quite a bit. 4.5/5

I am truly flummoxed by reviews here... I’m glad I blind bought a sample that is now a full bottle purchase without reading reviews! Firstly, it is not like TF Tuscan Leather. I’m gonna put that down to people with limited exposure to a variety of scents. Secondly I fail to see the Raspberry prominence as a vote when really the top note Effectively is a combination of ingredients. TF Tuscan is as is stated below is a bit in your face darker leather. I also find it, like most (not all) TFs scents to have a half life in performance maybe 2-4 hours before it drops off. This powers on for 10 hours. This is more suede like and a little creamy and the opening is very much ‘green’ for me with an enhanced green apple being achieved by the combo of raspberry and thyme and bodied out by the jasmin. For me this is somewhat very close to Thameen Regent Leather - so replacing the creamy supple spice (very much reminding me of the Leather Interior of a Rolls Royce) with a creamy apple. I tried the sample at about 9pm and when I woke up the next morning a 8am it was still powering away though the green suppleness had faded and there’s more of a juicy raspberry flesh over the top. Awesome scent deserving my money which is also sadly meaning I’m not buying Regent Leather 🙄

I smelled a few of DJs offerings for the first time at a store around 2 months ago, I remember Ambre Tabac being pretty nice but it was Green Leather that jumped out to me and showcased how brilliant Daniel Josier is. I was looking for something sweet and attention grabbing. My Fiancé immediately loved it as did I, it’s such an incredibly blended fragrance. The main accords are amazingly highlighted and never harsh or out of place. Just perfect. Smooth layered green suede with a bright juicy fruitiness, sweet and delicious, yet insanely wearable with the ability to be dressed up or dressed down. The suede/leather does have a touch of class to it though so not too down, but nothing like TF Tuscan Leather. It’s much more fun and remains masculine and sexy. This Green Leather is truly unique and among the best scents I’ve ever smelled. If you enjoy green scents and like a little sweetness and brightness make it a point to smell this ASAP 🙏

I feel the same way about Eau Rihla by Diptyque, which has also been labeled a TL clone, so do with that information what you will

This was a blind buy between my boyfriend and myself, and I think this was one of the best purchases we made during the trip. Very unisex, and it's very clean smelling. I really like the fact that it's not a in your face type of scent. decent staying power on the both of us. I would definitely purchase decants of this when my original runs out. However, I really don't get the fruity opening that is described.

This is one of fave scents... this is what i would wear on a nice 75 degree summer evening to an all white party. The rasberry in this at the top is amazing, and the dry down is even better. I was the best man in my friends wedding in August 2021 and it was 90 degrees and outside...this fragrance turned up with the heat and i got lots and lots of comments... this is a must have

This is ch men niche with great quality ingredients and amazing performance This fragrance performance is 10 plus hours on skin and weeks on clothes If you ch men from Carolina Herrera and are not happy with performance this is a no brained Ch men is more green this is more fruity but are r close that you will remember ch men

A very bright leather scent with raspberry note less the sweet tone... You get such an elegant smelling concoction with this one..... This can be used for office wear and party wear easily, Good Longevity and decent sillage and projection

I find it super interesting how many people are making the comparison to CH for men, and while I haven’t smelled it and no perfumer is listed Daniel Josier used to be a perfumer for Puig who still owns CH fragrances. Hmmm

Very pronounced green apple with a Elmer's glue smell. I almost purchased but choose Ambre Tabac instead. The glue scent does die down but it wasn't as bad as I thought. Definitely a little different.
