Interdit Absente

I only have sample of this from a friend but thought it deserves at least one review and a whole lot of love. Inderdit Absente is a beautiful blend of citrus, musk and woody greenness. A bit harsh in the opening but the dry down is great and reminds me of a walk in a forest after a summer rain shower. Similar to Mugler Pure Energy but much stronger and better. This has a sharp freshness that would be perfect to cut through humidity on an unbearably hot day. Slightly aquatic to me also. Vibes of Ferragamo Aqua Essenziale type of scents but the greeness dominates. Performs well too. Almost 5hrs in and still very much in the air around me. I would say it's definitely more masculine but can see it as unisex.

I just received the discovery set with 10 2ml juices in the set. This was one of them and then I went and ordered a full bottle of this one immediately!!!! I have nothing in my collection that smell of this unique godly fragrance. I think I've found my signature house. For people complaining about lasting power.... That's why they make atomizers to carry a small batch with you. I think It's a silly minor reason to knock this fragrance or any fragrance. Everything isn't made to be a powerhouse but to make you smell and feel amazing.

Mint and citrus are two of my favorite notes, and they are great here and lasted longer than expected. It's the other background herbs that are bothersome, like understudies plotting to unseat the stars. This is not a happy, easygoing fun fragrance, it is quite strong.

This is a nice discrete fresh mint-pomelo scent. It does not make me want to dance with joy as I have other expectations from the creator. I like him for his bold statements, the dark southerns scents that make you go like "wow! what happened there?!".

Minty, herbal musk. Very little projection. It's not bad but I tried Bois d`Iris and liked it much more.

I inhaled...and immediately said that " I want a bucket!" Incredible, herbal, fresh, but not ozone, not the smell of hay or mown grass, but spicy-sparkling, gushing with an emerald firework of wormwood, mint, pomelo fruit juice, for some reason I can still hear yuzu. I don't smell absinthe, not at all. But I believe it is the forbidden drink of the fairies)) - the absinthe of the hill dwellers, so unusual, so charming and cheerful! Sparkling freshness is replaced by the softness of sandalwood, a fruit sorbet made from exotic fruits, fruits of foreign gardens that bear fruit on Avalon? And more... It seemed to me that this was the scent that Grenouille smelled when he smelled it from the red-haired beauties. It's the scent of red-haired fairies! And even though my hair is not red, I will still dance in a round dance with Interdit Absente))

I've tried three Daniel Josier fragrances (this, Bois d`Iris and Josune), by far Interdit Absente is the weakest. Someone described it as air freshener and I agree completely, it's overpowering artificial and unpleasant throughout. The initial spray has this hybrid mix of mint and citrus scents and it doesn't change much from that, fortunately on my skin longevity and projection were fairly weak. Sprayed before work around 8am and it was gone by lunchtime. It's reasonably blended and I expect there will be fans, but it's unremarkable to my nose. The Bois d`Iris and Josune are so much better. I'd recommend trying those out, but either way Interdit Absente is not safe for a blind buy.

Not very impressed neither by the performance nor the juice, I could see its ability to impress some audience; its fresh, citrusy, with musk undertones, I mean there is nothing disturbing, but I was expecting something else, so it didn't meet my expectations; I don't enjoy the opening, but the dry-down is more refined, super fresh and green, good for summer. I find it leans more to be masculine for my taste, but as you know tastes differ from one person to another, try it before buying it ^_*

The notes indicate...this is usually..not my "type" of scent. But sometimes,I am surprised !! This was one of the "surprise" scents for me. The opening...IMO...my nose...I get a peppermint vibe at first...then the other notes waft in....and they all come together. Amazingly !!! Very different from anything in my vast collection. Another hidden gem from a not much talked about house!!
