Orquidea Negra

Magnificent perfume sadly discontinued. ORQUÍDEA was one of my first fragrances from the Daniel Josier house and like everything that is discontinued is treasured. ORQUÍDEA smells elegant, sensual and at the same time in a narcotic way. It opens floral and fruity with earthy and slightly bitter nuances from the truffle (mushrooms) giving way to a heart of floral and woody accords with the orchid as the protagonist. As the hours go by it becomes more earthy, amber and subtly incensed with hints of chocolate. Finally, the trace that it leaves on my skin is an exquisite smell of dark chocolate. Substantivity on my skin is 12+ hours with strong to moderate diffusion and sillage.

We carry this line at my job we got this one in yesterday & immediately to me this smelled like an even more unisex version of Tom Fords Black Orchid.. I find this to be a touch more spicier & earthier, so not a bad alternative for someone who likes BO but want's even more spice, or a guy who's afraid to wear BO b/c he thinks it smells too feminine, deff. look into this one. I wonder if Mr. Josier tries to recreate his own interpretations of some the popular scents out there.. I find some (not all) of his scents kinda remind me of some other popular designer scents..i.e. Le Musk comparable to Alien, & Josune reminds me of a chocolatier Flowerbomb/LVEB combo..

Weird mix of earth and sweetness , more intersting than wearable.

This is not at all my usual type of fragrance, but it is gorgeous! The "tuber" note is actually truffle. Literally intoxicating when paired with ylang ylang, dark chocolate, vanilla and incense. It is also very reasonably priced for a niche fragrance of this high quality. Try some of his others!
