Vetiver

This is a really good vetiver fragrance. I will say that even though it does have a few similarities to Terre D'Hermes, it is not the same, nor would I consider it to be a re interpretation of TdH. Vetiver opens up with some really nice tangy citruses that give it a bit of a classic cologne vibe, think along the lines of the Acqua di Parma Colonia line. Once it dries down a bit, the vetiver and woods take over. It has a dry woodsy aroma which comes across very classy and masculine. The longevity is really good and it has a moderate projection, which is ideal for this style of fragrance. I would highly recommend it for anyone who is 30+ and is looking for a high quality versatile vetiver scent. Edit: This has some similarities to Creed Viking Cologne, as they both share a citrusy/spicy opening, with a heart of geranium, and a vetiver/cedar dry down.

This stuff is so good. If I could only have one fragrance to wear day and night, year round, this would be it. I bought this as what I hoped would be a higher quality version of Terre D'Hermes Parfum, and I feel like that's exactly what it is. I love that scent profile, and currently own TDH, Isola Blue, and this. I feel like this is closer to TDH than Isola Blue, with Isola Blue being more of the fresher, more expensive, Summer version of TDH.

one of the freshest, invigorating, bubbliest green vetiver scent in the market... amazing performance for a fresh fragrance, top projection and longevity (8 hours). My favorite of the line. Full bottle worthy. Looking to buy a back up ASAP

This is an intriguing fragrance that I quite enjoy. It is a rooty earthy Vetiver. It’s medicinal in a good way. It reminds me of the dry down of Dior Eau Savage Parfum 2017. Very masculine cool weather scents.

A warm, spicy vetiver with gently rounded edges,no jarring sharpness anywhere. Soft enough to be unisex; great longevity (over 12 hours) and silage. Another high-quality creation by a master perfumer.

This is very good. In the opening I get a lot of citrus, especially grapefruit. It dries into this grassy, woodsy smell that is so gentlemanly you kind of have to walk around like you know it.

As expected from the name of the perfume, we are dealing with a vetiver perfume. Of course, it is a high-quality vetiver type, earthy and somewhat sour. For a few hours, this vetiver scent remains with a few changes. The top note is very similar to Guerlain vetiver and after a few minutes, it tends towards the vetiver Geranium of Creed, which means vetiver moves away from citrus and takes on an aromatic and slightly floral state. But the main surprise hasn't started yet!😜 After about 4 hours, the scent changes completely and you are faced with tere d’Hermes edt. Of course, it becomes a skin scent and does not project much, although it has controlled projection from the beginning. In general, we are facing a very high quality perfume in this genre. Vetiver, bergamot, geranium and woody notes are used in perfect quality which is very impressive. Maybe the higher performance can put a very valuable work in front of the audience, but considering the price of this brand's perfumes, it can be attractive.

A rare instant when the "Sishya" (Disciple/ Pupil) exceeded the "Guru" (Mentor/ Teacher) twice! Daniel, who apprenticed under J-C Ellena has created a far superior blended & balanced fragrance around spicy-tangy citruses, earthy vetiver and woody cedar. The end result, "Vetiver" is most definitely classier, more sophisticated & crisper than (often compared to) TDH. IG: @Eclectic.Scents

Scent profile sits somewhere between Vetiver Geranium by Creed and Terre d'Hermes Eau Tres Fraiche. The mild powdery facet is a nice touch. The only problem I have with this fragrance is that it smells similar to other fragrances I already own.

There's some shared dna with Terre; some sort of a hot spice mixed with geranium, but also the citruses. The type of vetiver seems the same, too. Not as vetiver-forward as I thought; it's more of a spicy-aromatic with vetiver. Obviously, DJ's doesn't have that "dirty orange" note. Do I like it? No, but I don't like Terre neither. The only vetiver in this genre I can wear is from Boadicea the Victorious, of which I forgot the name. £160 for 50ml is way overpriced; I'll advise anyone to go with Terre or similar.

Similar to Ambre Tabac, this is another Daniel Josier rendition of a more popular scent (TdH), although it ultimately misses the mark for me. Nice combination of citruses in the opening with bergamot and grapefruit. The drydown ruins it though, it's a tad too powdery for my tastes. Also falls victim to poor longevity and projection like a few other DJ scents.

Nice linear orange centered fragrance with woods and (finally) some clean vetiver in the base. It's nice, but again an uninspired creation trying to re-interpret Terre d'Hermes... why? just why trying to remake such a masterpiece as Terre d'Hermes? No...no... it's not exactly identical, and possibly even a step higher in quality. But personally, I prefer the original, and I'll stick to TdH Eau Intense Vetiver that overall provides me more satisfaction. As a beginner vetiver it can do the job, but honeslty, I find it overpriced given what it delivers, and that doesn't help either. Hard pass for me.

My first testing of a josier fragrance, it seems to be very powdery on my skin and pretty linear, it's certainly a very soft vetiver fragrance, I am a massive fan of vetiver and tried over 20 different ones and this is one of my least favourite but doesn't mean it's not good juice, it is a very pleasant scent but just not what I was expecting. I prefer the more dirty vetiver notes esp when it's paired with cypress and coffee! Still looking for one to beat Dior privee vetiver! I wouldn't buy a bottle of this to be honest. This is a good introductory frag to vetiver so it's perfect for people who want to try it out very softly first. 7/10

This is a much green interpretation of Terre D' Hermes. The bergamot and petitgrain are front and center along with the TdH DNA. Much more refined, classier, and smoother. I already own Jewel, but I appreciate the quality and the composition done here. This beauty also has a spicy tinge as it dries down with a bit of elegant violet peeking in. It's overall better than Terre, the dry down is marvelous.

I’m reviewing my 2ml decant from the JD discovery set and yes, exactly it has a scent profile reminiscent of Terre De Hermes. Nice 👍 but if you have TDH edt or parfum, you might not need this but it’s a great frag overall 🙂 You decide 😉

One of the best Vetiver fragrances I've smelled. Smoother than standard TDH EDT. Projection is milder, but feels more comfortable to wear. More versatile for warmer weather.

My favorite vetiver, to to dry and weird not to fruity like fatal. Almost smells like orange on cedar on vetiver smells just great. Niche version of tdh

A tamer and more mature Terre de Hermes. Clean cut and more natural smelling. All Josier fragrances lack sillage.
