Sakura Snow

I knew I would like this but I didn't expect to like it this much. At first spray, it's fresh and clean, borderline soapy and just a little powdery. Cherry blossoms, juniper and the lily of the valley/muguet make themselves apparent right away. It remains this way for a few hours. Around the three-hour mark, it really develops and shines. The cherry blossoms and muguet are still present, floral and heady, but now the solar, snow and—to a lesser extent—musk notes emerge to bolster them. No longer soapy or powdery, you are suddenly in a cherry orchard on the first warm day after a snowstorm. It's still winter but the sun shining, the snow is melting and the blossoms are dewy. The watery aspect of the snow note lends a very refreshing quality to the scent, while the solar notes and musk lend it some warmth and depth. For the remainder of the wear, it stays much like this with the cherry blossom and snow slowly fading until you're left with a clean scent like fresh linens. Overall, I was very impressed by this perfume—due not only to its scent but also its longevity and sillage. It lasted on me for 12 hours and, though it was a cool day, the projection was reasonable. This floral is cool and fresh in a way that would work well in almost any season.

where do iiii eveennnnn begeggegeinnnnnnn. this is my favouriteeeeeeeeeeeee take on sakura. when i walk past cherry trees, i smell very light powdery floral traces of freshly bloomed flowers irl. idk how they do it but it quite literally smells like actual sakura. the snow accords shine through too, but mainly in the first spray to right before the dry-down; it literally feels cold to smell. like if you took a deeeeep breath in cold, fresh air, thats what the snow note is. to visualise, this perfume is like if you woke up to a white winter morning sitting right under a cherry tree, gazing at how the snow envelops the delicate pink petals. speaking of delicate, i think d'annam did a great job on conceptualising the idea of fragility in this fragrance. its so soft and ethereal, i would think that angels from heaven smell like this when they descend down to earth when its snowing...

This was the unsung hero of the Discovery Set 2 for me. When I first sprayed on sample strips, I think I just was overwhelmed by too many fragrances (I was too excited to try all of them in rapid succession) that this smelled like nothing to me. Thinking little of it, I grabbed the sample and wore it to work on the first day of snow where I live, and it came alive on my skin. The crisp, icy, frosty quality of the fragrance permeates beautifully throughout the day, with the cherry blossom never becoming cloying or soap-like. The musk does some heavy lifting here to round everything out, but I'm not sure if it's ever an amount of musk that becomes too strong anywhere in the lifespan of the scent. It's more of a skin scent for me, but it doesn't vanish within an hour. I want a full bottle.

This absolutely deserves more credit! This is such a gorgeous, unique sakura scent and the snow note really makes this stand out from the rest. They really have nailed that note. Growing up, our family had a large cherry blossom tree in our garden. This perfume absolutely does smell of cherry blossom petals and snow defrosting in the sun, on a cool spring morning. Out of all the Sakura scents I have tested, this is the only one that captured me completely. Sakura Snow is soft, uplifting, fresh, elegant, feminine and ethereal. Just beautiful! This gives off a good silage and lasted a decent 5-6 hours on me. Such a gorgeous scent and a new spring favourite.

Nothing about this is cold or hot, but this is a very good muguet scent (no cherry note by any means), just monotonous dewey muguet petals (kind of almost like liliy of the valley than blossoms) with an extremely faint vetiver drydown, but that's it. It's so beautiful, It's clean without being soapy and it's delicate, fresh, smooth, musky, exactly like the lotv petals. Insane work. It's feminine leaning scent that I honestly want to own. Edit: this is now my most fav out of the house.

This fragrance stopped me in my tracks. My immediate thought was my mother. It smells like a perfume she used to have and oh how it made me miss her even more. The notes are what initially intrigued me. I don’t know how he perfectly captured the essence of a cold and snowy day but he did. It’s soft, it’s bright, it’s feminine. It’s beautiful. I smell the juniper and the snow. This is an immediate full bottle purchase and one I will cherish for years to come.

When I first apply this, it's so very green, almost like soil and ferns. It's interesting, and sits very close to the skin. Can really only smell it from a few inches away. I will say it does give a watery feeling (might just be because I like cherry blossom soap lol) but not very cold.... if anything, the bright and fresh greenness gives it warmth. Like a summer day washing yourself sitting on top of a moss-covered riverstone...

Every new scent I try from this brand is delightful. I bought the "Memories of Japan" discovery set and am having fun enjoying every one so far. This one is so light and fresh, a little powdery on me I think but I really like it. Feels crisp, delicately floral without being astringent. I think I'd enjoy this one specifically for cold days, maybe into the first bits of Spring.

Finally! I have found my Sakura scent to wear in Spring. I have tried many - Dior, Acqua di Parma, L'Occitane, Ormonde Jayne....but none respresented Spring for me. Sakura Snow is the epitome of a changing season. She is both a delicate floral and a fresh breeze. She is delightful to wear. Dont expect beast mode but do expect an extremely beautiful yet fragile scent.

wear Sakura Snow when the world feels too loud and you just want to go home.... smells like burying your face into mommy's soft cashmere sweater (just handwashed with cherry blossom soap). it has that sweet freshness that is just so maternal my own mother exclusively wears rose actually. but the dewiness and fuzziness makes me want to carry a sample in my pocket

Gorgeous calming fragrance. Cherry blossoms aren't overly sweet and the musk and snow notes add an almost woody base. Although the fragrance is strongest when sprayed, it was still detectable on my skin the morning after I wore it. This fragrance is a great start at exploring florals if you don't like the mainstream soapy florals.

I fell in love with this scent after trying a sample from edulge pick n mix. This along with white rice were my favourites from d'annam. Sakura Snow, has a floral note but mixed with a crisp snow note which makes it also a fresh clean fragrance. I think this is a lovely clean girl fragrance. Definitely feminine leaning.

Smells like a warm milk bath on a windy day in the middle of a forest. Soft blossoms raining down, the air lightly spiced by the surrounding juniper. If the word "delicate" was a fragrance. My skin feels smoother just for having worn this. Impressed by how much it projects for something so texturally light.

Cold like La Vierge de Fer by Serge Lutens, but varies in the delicate nuances. It is meditative and peaceful, like a still, cool morning in early spring. A late snow, lingering in patches around the season's first tender buds. Clean like the water trickling down shrinking icicles.

Have never found a scented sakura so can’t say if the scent I smell from the bottle resembles it but the lily of the valley here sure reminds me of Dior Lucky. Overall this is a lovely scent that lasted about twenty four hrs on clothing. The silage was okay, not too intimate.

Really love this one. The clean and freshness is super appealing and the juniper note sets it apart from other clean, musky scents. It smells like a spa. If it weren't for the price point, I would be buying a bottle no question.

Not snow or cold winter in here. Very spring full of cherry and plum blossoms. Less traditionally feminine and more gender neutral freshly washed up and clean without being soapy. Ephemeral but incredibly lovely.

I got a sample of this and loved it! Very soft and delicate. For some reason the dry down reminds me of by the fire place by margiela lol. I love the opening and it has decent longevity.

This is so special. It gives me a similar vibe to Chloe EDP, with cherry blossoms and a distinctly 'icy' crisp feel. Very delicate, beautiful and feminine with surprising staying power.
