Pomelo-Vanille

The fruity line of Dans un jardin is mostly composed of beautiful, but very soft scents without sillage and longevity, that can be worn by a 7 years old girl without a problem. Well, that's not the same thing with Pomelo-vanille. If the name is fruity and sugary, the fragrance is not. Yes, it is sweet, but not sugary-vanilla sweet. Honestly, I hardly detect fruits in this perfume, maybe a little sparkle of something, but hard to put a name on it. To be perfectly honest, the more I smell it, the harder it is to classify it in a category. I guess it is a good sign, it means that it is unique. It is a beautiful fragrance, on the fresh trail of classy. Sillage and longevity are great. It is more of a winter scent in my opinion, but I would say it is a fresh winter scent, no darkness here. It has nothing to do with the scent itself, but I just thought I'd say it cause it is very cool and many other perfume houses should do it. When Dans un jardin decide to discontinue a scent, you can still special-order it for the same price as it was in stores. Thumbs up for this brilliant idea!!!

This is a light fruity fragrance with a (curious) mix of pineapple and pear that dominate the top notes. It is a very unique mix which is light and youthful. After about 15 minutes the fruity scent fades a little and the vanilla comes out more and lingers until it fades completely after about an hour. Other than short longevity (it's an eau de toilette), there's a musty dusty base note that I didn't like. Overall, it's a light scent, so I doubt anyone could get a headache from it, plus it's an easy inoffensive scent for spritzing during the day. Perhaps an easy first fragrance for a gamine tween. EDIT: The next morning this fragrance was still lingering on my clothes and my skin. And now it was a warm light scent like a beautiful luxury body scent. Now I revise my preference and like it very much. Enough to stash in my bag for fragrance during the workday.
