Saffron Oud

Wow what an open! The saffron and pineapple hit me first, followed by rose and berries. The floral aspects of this carry from the open into the heart as the rose dials down and the lavender and geranium dial up; the violet lingers for me, coming on late. By my third spray I finally got to exploring the cashmere base -- I will note that I can't pick out cashmere distinctively, but get a musky wood that is entwined with the vetiver, with call backs to the saffron fruity floral notes I catch on whiffs moving around.

I finally got my hands on this. This is a gentleman's scent. It starts off slightly fruity with the saffron and rose adding depth. It has an aromatic freshness to it. In the dry down it has a slight "funk" from the oud not quite barnyard-ish but still wearable. I can't compare this to anything that I have smelled. I you don't like smelling like everyone else give it a shot. You can get samples from Kayali. It is on my to buy list but not a top priority so I don't know when I will get a full bottle. The opening is amazing, it doesn't last long though. The dry down is the perfect office scent. It's not one to wow em and say "wow, you smell good". This one is more for you. Not a crowd pleaser, but still a good daily wearer
