This is a twin sister of Miss Arpels. The more outgoing twin, the louder, and bubblier one. Both scents share the same underlying clear fluidity, with floral and fruity notes adorned on top. It's like having a bowl with fresh cut flowers and fruit in it, at first you sniff the delightful opulence, but then, when you dip your hands in the bowl there is this vibrant clarity of water with all the saps diluted in it. Lys d'Eau is my scent of choice for rainy days, goes brilliantly with a leather jacket, where a dry, leatheary perfume would be too obvious. This one acually seems to "catch" the moisture in the air and lend it some of its juiciness, due to a great sillage. The vanilla I didn't find in Miss Arpels is here, and lots of it in the drydown. Darphin was the one I discovered first, and it was love at first sniff, but it is so hard to find. Right now I have an alternative in a slightly paired down version, Miss Arpels. Love them both to bits.
