I don't understand the hate that David Beckham fragrances get. The majority of them which I've tried are inexpensive, masculine and very likeable and this scent is no exception. I got a 75ml bottle for £15 and for that price it is very well priced. Performance is not beastly but for running errands or if you just want something to spray on quickly with little thought then this is a great option. It gives me a solid 5hrs which is more than satisfactory considering the low price tag. Smells fresh and mass appealing with a bit of masculine ruggedness to it. For me it is an invictus style scent (which works very well for me at garnering positive attention) that also carries over a unique tropical and earthy character. Overall its a good performer at a low price that is guaranteed to pull compliments from women. Presentation is also mega clean like all of the instinct line and has its signature magnetic cap which is always a nice touch. If you like the invictus DNA, this will be right up your street.

Bought this as a blind buy as it can flop without hitting your pocket much and the bottle is quite classy. It’s easy to dismiss this because of the overwhelming number of cheap fragrances DB comes out with. But you are doing yourself an injustice ignoring this one. It is clean and fresh smelling with just the right mix of warm spice perfect for those casual nights out during spring and summer. It is strong and stays in your skin for 5-6 hrs. It is masculine without the synthetic chemical aroma that can be overwhelming. It doesn’t smell cheap on the contrary it has a sophistication of much more expensive bottles. A bargain for its price with this quality. Appropriate for all ages. No one will find this offensive

OMG, so I got this fragrance for Christmas and I’m honestly obsessed! At first, you can totally smell the pineapple and bay leaf, and it's like super fresh. Then after about 30 minutes, the cardamom kicks in and it smells even better. It's honestly such a nice balance of everything – the pineapple and cardamom go so well together, and the cinnamon adds this smooth, spicy vibe that makes it perfect. It feels so warm on my skin, I love it so much! And like, for the price, it's actually really good. Totally reminds me of summer, so I can’t wait to wear it when it gets warmer!

I love the pineapple note — it’s the perfect contrast to the heavier base. I’d probably call this a “beginner’s scent,” but in a good way. I was honestly kind of addicted to it for a while. Went through a 50ml bottle in about three weeks, haha.

So this is an average fragrance.. cheap, little boring, doesnt last nor does it project. Personally I can’t pick up the notes when I smell it, but it does smell pleasant and easy to wear. 4.5/10

amazing smell but insanely overpriced!

Picked this up at Burlington, travel set for $12 in EDP concentration. Presentation is nice, bottle looks Tom Ford-ish. I believe the description below by NiceNiffs is mostly accurate. I get more of a darker vibe wearing this, but it's not heavy. Smells pretty good, first DB frag for me. The only negative is the longevity, about four hours and it's done. But, when running errands or staying home and doing the barbecue thing, poker night, etc this is an easy reach. Already received a complement from a woman while waiting in the checkout line at the grocery store. So, it's a keeper for me.

It is a nice fragrance, Elegant, Classy and Unique. Longevity is average, It smells so good and very pleasant with reasonable price. It opens up with like fresh fruity, green and spicy notes in the background then dry down is green musky. The art of bottle design is very beautiful with copper color and magnetic cap. This is a decent, aftershave-like scent with acceptable longevity—I'm getting around five hours tops. It's dirt cheap, so the price is right. However, this is exactly what I imagine any uncle at the end of the bar smells like. It's super generic ,It's only worth about ten bucks, but at least you know it projects that specific, cheap energy perfectly. Verdict: 5.9/10

David Beckham bold instinct is definitely worth the price. It's fruity note if pineapple is subtle but can work if you focus on it. The herbal and spicy notes help it to be a good autumn scent and the lack of citrus helps it to stand out from other David Beckham fragrances like beyond or true instinct.

Surprisingly good for the price. It's classy, a little fruity, a little spicy, and little sweet without being cloying. Good cheap find! Yeah, yeah, we know, performance is not the greatest. It's to be expected at that price range. Spray again and move on with your lives. Scent - 7/10 Performance - 4/10

Idk why but on me its very floral and soapy fresh, its super strong and last hella long, in talking 9-12 hours, it projects like crazy for the first 6 hours then is more suddle and after 9 hour mark it dissaperes. Its cheap

I enjoy this fragrance alot. It smells spicy, but not too much. The opening is great, but the longevity is not the best. Cheap and overall alright.

It smells really great but the longevity at least on my skin....

I can already hear the clamour when I say this is basically Paco Rabanne Invictus (original) with the earthiness of Peat and hint of spice (Cinnamon/Nutmeg?). Smelling them side by side and PRI is a bright summery citrus freshie and the other, DBBI, is an earthy, slightly darker, almost boozy-freshie - which I know doesn't make sense but bear with me. :o) When I first sprayed it on it almost wasn't there - I literally couldn't smell it and then started to wonder if it was a dud. 5-10 minutes later though it seemed to wake up on my skin. Phew! Thank goodness. Both have that resounding Invictus dna of 'fruit', Bay Leaf/Laurel, Ambergris, Patchouli. I smell more of a Grapefruit note than Pineapple to be completely honest which again takes it more toward Invictus but at the same time a little richer than the straight up Grapefruit in Invictus. This could be the Peat accord warping the Pineapple slightly, I guess and it is quite cloying when sniffed up close. DBBI leans toward Invictus Intense but with less of the peppery spice and whisky booziness but still 'similar' in portrayal. In the mid-dry down it brings in a touch of the familiar aquatic-salty-freshness tempered only slightly by musky notes which once again draws it back towards o.g. Invictus yet without straying to far from the Invictus Intense feel. It feels like it is trying to be a bit of both Invictus and Invictus Intense but without quite being able to accomplish it, convincingly. Don't get me wrong DBBI is a perfectly pleasant, crowd pleasing, easy reach for Autumn. Longevity is about 3-4 hours which is near enough normal for the Beckham 'Instinct' line of scents. Projection is modest yet noticeable. I got 75ml for £14 here in the UK which is good value on the whole. This is not something that I would see myself going out of my way to buy but say if you found yourself caught short for a night out or weekend away and wanted try and grab something quick and easy from a local store/on the way - if you came across this then it would be a safe call. Other than that, it is just too close to other tried and tested scents that there's really no point owning this one as well.

Master_fragrance below has my same thoughts to a tee. Longevity is particularly disappointing at 2 hours or so at the very most. Peat? What peat? Otherwise, presentation is as good as or better than usual for this line. UPDATE: Although not yet mentioned on this site, I've noticed that a much needed and supposedly longer lasting EdP concentration of this fragrance is now available on the UK market. This might explain why some users are getting much better performance in 2024.

Good cheapie, doesn't last to long but that's expected for the price, smells a little synthetic, good beginner fragrance.

I bought this cause the notes looked interesting. Was quite impressed by the presentation. The bottle looks stylish and it has a magnetic cap. But it has the worst performance I've ever witnessed. Spray it and it's gone in 15 minutes. Ridiculous. There are after shaves that perform better than this. So disappointing.

So I got this because I was bored and it smells really nice but very very timid there is no projection and it doesn’t last max maybe 3 hours and and all the smells are mixed you can’t distinguish anything it’s all just one smell it’s pleasant but not the best 4/10

I had this for a couple of months now and I finally found out what it smell like, I believe this to be a montblanc legend edp clones , I am wearing both on my wrists and the only the difference is the dbbi is very soft and mellow compared to mbl edp

Great fragrance with earthy peate and whisky like notes. Little like another Beckham fragrance named Intimately. For this price it's fabulous.

This is a value for money banger. People can hate on it all they want. It's excellent for every day wear. The EDP version smells fantastic!

I got it from Amazon for $5, I expect nothing less than a niche quality, we will see xD

Nice note pyramid but all I get are hair spray and fly spray musks
