David Yurman Fragrance

Such a beautiful little gem! For me this one was tricky. The first few times that I tried it, found it too sweet, specially at the beginning with the dominant black currant note, and I thought to myself: "Yet another boring unpleasant heavy sweet perfume!" (I hate most of them!) But I have to admit, I was wrong and these past few days it has grown on me a lot. This one is no ordinary mediocre sweet gourmand. Although it's still a bit too sweet at the beginning, but after a little while, it softens into a delicate gentle smell, and the musk takes over (heavenly musk! mixed with some other floral notes as well). It has such delicate warmth and such depth and beauty about it, embraces you in kindest and sweetest way possible, and make all the troubles go away. I believe if Demeter, the greek goddess of nourishment and motherhood had a perfume, it would be this one. It's like what they say, sitting beside a chimney in a dark freezing winter night, drinking tea, while reading a good book. That's how wonderful it makes me feel. Also it is rather high quality, with impressive longevity and sillage, way better than many (sadly, reformulated) perfumes out there. عطر فوق العاده ایه. اولش چندان خوشم نیومد، خیلی شیرین شروع میشه و رایحه انگور سیاه غالبه. روایح شیرین رو اصلا نمی پسندم، و نمی دونم چرا بیشتر عطرهای زنانه شیرین و میوه ای هستن متاسفانه. اما با چند بار استفاده از این عطر نظرم کاملا عوض شد. عطر فوق العاده عمیق و با کیفیت، با گرمای بسیار خوشایندیه. واقعا قابل مقایسه با خیل عطرهای متوسط الحال و مهوع شیرین و سنگین و بعضا بسی پرطرفدار!! نیست. ظرافت و خلاقیت توش محسوسه کاملا. با اینکه هنوز معتقدم اولش کمی زیادی شیرینه، اما این شیرینی خیلی زود ملایمتر میشه و جاشو کم کم میده به مشک زیبا و لطیف و ملایم، مخلوط با روایح گل و میوه‌ای البته. فکر کنم اگه دیمیتر، الهه مادری و تغذیه، عطری داشت، عطرش این بود. گرمای مطبوع یک آغوش گرم و شیرین و ملایم و مهربون. گرماش تداعی کننده همون استعاره معروفه: نشستن کنار شومینه توی شبی از شبهای سرد زمستون، فنجون چای در یه دست و یه کتاب خوب در دست دیگه. مدتها بود دنبال همچین عطری می گشتم و در حالی که عطرهای گرم و شیرین یکی بعد از دیگری ناامیدم می‌کردن، بالاخره پیداش کردم.

I knew when I bought my first bottle. It was 1.7 oz. I read about David Yurman and after reading a glowing review of this fragrance on another site, decided to buy it. The cost was about 45 dollars I think. After trying it, I wrote a review here. You can find it down below. Well, a few others ladies tried it and were made David Yurman converts. This is the best of his perfumes. I promptly bought the largest bottle of this fragrance that he offered. As time went on, the large bottles started disappearing. So I knew I had a gem. I bought 2 more 1.7 oz bottles and wore this to work and in the evening during the late fall and entire winter. When I went back to buy more, (I believe in being proactive and when I find something good and I really like it, I stock up.) By this time only the 1.7 ounce and the one ounce were being offered. The 1.7 ounce had went up in price by almost 50%. But get this, the 1 ounce unboxed ones were as little as $18.00. So I bought 3 bottles. I opened one of them and sprayed to ensure the scent was not faded or a fake and yes, it was the real deal. Well, I promptly bought 3 more bottles and in the next year (late 2016 and the first half of 2017), I bought 3 more bottles of the one ounce bottles. I think they will last me a while. I gave one away to a dear lady at my last job who loved the scent so much, so I surprised her one day with a one ounce bottle. And get this, those 1.7 ounce bottles that I paid 45 dollars for are being sold for almost 200 dollars on some sites. You can sometimes find a bottle on ebay for a little over hundred. So for you ladies that have a bottle of this David Yurman fragrance, you are lucky. It is becoming a rare and expensive one to buy.

This was one of my MANY first blind-buys back in the day when I thought I actually COULD have all the smells. But goodness, was this a fabulous buy! Right from the first moment I sprayed it, I loved it, and even after losing my big 100ml bottle to hubs, who gifted to his family (miscommunication), Fragranticans came through and gifted me with a gorgeous little 30ml bottle. I actually prefer the look of the 30ml, which is completely different from the big one, but anyhow. . . This is the epitome of "rose." Not to say it's a soliflor . . . it's not. But it highlights the rose beautifully. It's JUST on the edge of being sharp, JUST on the edge of being sweet, and JUST on the edge of being a big ol' bouquet of flowers . . . oh, and JUST on the edge of being soapy. But it's none of those things. It's the most gorgeous balanced rose perfume I've ever smelled. I haven't smelled all, or even all that many, but I've tested some of the higher end babies, and this lovely has my heart for real! If you only want one rose in your wardrobe, THIS one deserves the spot!

قبل از اینکه نظرمو بنویسم بگم که دو ترکیب با بیشترین رای در دو عطر دیوید یورمن طلایی و مادمازل ریچی، گل رز و مشک هستند ولی این دو عطر ذره ای به هم شباهت ندارن و این مساله باعث شد لااقل به یکی از بزرگترین سوالات خودم پاسخ داده بشه که احتمال شباهت عطر هایی با ترکیبات با رای بالا و مشابه بود. اگه نظر قبلی من رو در بین نظرات در پروفایلم دیده باشید خوندید که از تشابه عطر با عطر های قدیمی نوشتم. من واقعا شامه ام مشکل نداره و متاسفانه برای عطر دیوید یورمن هم باید همینو بنویسم. تشابهی که از همون لحظه ی اول با عطر ها یا ادکلن ها یا اسپری های قدیمی حس کردم. راستش برای من این مساله اصلا خوشایند نیست که عطر برند و جدید به نظرم بویی قدیمی داشته باشه اما واقعیت امر همینه و من از این عطر این حقیقت رو دریافت کردم. مورد بعد اینکه عطر به نظرم بسیار شیرینه و من این اندازه از شیرینی رو نمیتونم بپذیرم. حتی اومدم اینجا و نگاه میکنم در بین آکورد ها واژه ی شیرینی ذکر نشده و از این بابت هم تعجب میکنم. خدا رو شکر که تصمیم گرفتم از این به بعد اول عطرها رو تست کنم و گرنه که کلا ورشکست میشدم.

This is indeed a beautiful scent. Some may find this expensive, but really this fragrance is right up there with some of the much more expensive fragrances. You can wear this proudly. I am constantly complimented on this perfume. And it's mainly men who compliment me. Words Like, "You smell so good." "What are you wearing, it smells wonderful." And the best one I like is "You smell rich." I think that there are so many fruity, sweet fragrances out there that men have become overwhelmed. And even when it comes to winter fragrances, fragrances can get quite heavy in smell, loading up on the patchouli, amber and musk. They don't balance out with the other ingredients, especially when it comes to the dry down. This fragrance has a little sweetness, but it balanced very well by the patchouli and musk. They don't overwhelm the floral sweetness of the florals, it meets them head to head and dances with them. A beautiful waltz.

The one word I would use to describe this perfume is gorgeous! I'd read reviews and had seen it had been compared to Armani's City Glam, that was a perfume I loved and I was very disappointed it had been discontinued. Indeed on further investigation they do share very similar notes however David Yurman is the slighty more mature, more expensive, sophisticated relation. On first spray of the tester I thought it was rather nice, nothing exceptional but nice. It was after a few days of testing I started to fall in love with it and I then purchased a full bottle. This perfume almost makes it into my top five favourite fragrances as it shares one of my favourites notes - patchouli. This is one perfume I expected to be a sillage monster, but for me sadly it is all over too soon. The first time I wore it a friend couldn't smell it. Such a shame, it was almost perfect.

I like this fragrance very much. It's is soft, feminine sophisticated romantic and sparkly, very addictive. It is a balance between fruity notes and floral notes with excellent quality. The musk and the patchouli and the rose make this a sensual perfume. It's simply stunning and it's quite different from the others in the market. This is more for the grown woman scent not the teenage type. It takes sophistication, maturity and self confidence to pull this off. It's a complex scent with great sillage and longevity. My friend wears this and when she walks or gets near you can always get whiffs of this lovely fragrance. This is a good fragrance for everyday and for going out. Since it's quite expensive you might want to wear it to go out to dinner or on a date! Sillage is magnificent too and the body lotion is just as good as the perfume itself!

Thank you to the wonderful Diamonds for sending me this sample (amongst many others). I have been DYING to try this but just never got around to doing so. The first spritz just left me perplexed as to what I could smell. Why am I thinking Kate Walsh Boyfriend? It was powerful and addictive and perhaps slightly masculine and my heart started racing as I just knew that I was going to love this perfume. I am not the greatest at identifying notes but I can only say that this is a wonderful syrupy, heady, floral mix, a smattering of rose and a sweetening of patchouli, which dries down to a floral musky woodyness. If you like chypre florals then you will love this perfume! I think it is utterly exquisite, expensive in the way it smells, high end sophistication. It has massive projection and impressive longevity. To me, this is FB worthy.

I read all the negative reviews of this perfume several months ago and avoided trying Yurman's offering based on them. I was at Nordstrom today with a big bottle staring me in the face, and I couldn't resist all that gold. I must say, what are all the naysayers talking about? This is a gorgeous fragrance! It opens smelling like a fruity white wine, like muscat maybe. And thank God Yurman knows how to blend flowers together. I am tired of white flower fragrances or perfumes that are predominantly rose. So un-creative, and they've been done a million times. This is a nice blend of soft blossoms, woods, and musk. There is no spice in it at all, look at the notes. I definitely could see a wealthy woman wearing this perfume. It's a modern classic. I want a bottle.

Bought this blind from Marshall's on clearance for cheap and I am so glad I did. It smells amazing. As soon as I put it on, it was love at first sniff. Almost all the main accords listed above are my favorites so no wonder I love it. I can't pinpoint exactly what it smells like for some reason as nothing stands out strongly, it is musky though. It's just a good hodgepodge of things I like and it is so well blended and smooth. It's like liquid gold, it is classy and sophisticated. I wear this to work but it is definitely something to wear on an evening date. Mine is long lasting also and I love how the spray mist is fine, it's definitely a high quality bottle. Mine does not look like the picture above, it is the 1oz sized with a small lid.

Harry Fremont c/o David & Sybil Yurman has created a Golden Goddess of a fragrance! Glamorous and heavenly, yet somehow grounded and down to earth. Park Avenue sophisticated snob, yet humble. Simple, yet infinitely complex. Intrinsically beautiful, each fragrance component belonging to, or lying within its given counterparts. The bottle looks and feels like a gold ingot, heavy and beautiful, worthy of being stockpiled like the gold bars at Fort Knox. I will be investing in more of this pure, perfect GOLD! It's said the streets of Heaven are paved in gold... This Golden fragrance and bottle are so absolutely stunning, I imagine that the streets of heaven could be paved with David Yurman. Sillage was average, longevity good.

I am so surprised! In contrast to the notes of peony and lotus (usually done with watery 'calone' notes that go off on me) Yurman is astonishingly rich, warm, deep, and classic smelling. David Yurman Limited Edition was a mess on me - quite masculine and a chemical-like woodiness. But this is far more rosy and lovely. Unisex? Yes, if you don't mind smelling like a marvelous perfume for women from the 80's or 90's! This reads as a rose chypre on me, a sister of the original La Perla! I adore La Perla, even in the thinner new version, and David Yurman is by no means thin! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED if one loves pungent, grounded, woody roses with much character. Mature but by no means fusty. Gorgeous, strong, and long lasting.

This reminds me of Guerlain Iydlle a bit but it's not a dupe. This is much fruitier I get the black current quite a bit. A very musky rosie, peony dominant floral. Extremely feminine. Dainty but with strength and lasting power. This is the perfect fragrance to wear if you're wearing a crisp white summer dress or a light baby pink one. Very pretty very feminine. It screams spring and early summer. Classy, would be beautiful on a bride. I can see a bride wearing this holding a very large bouquet a white and pink peonies. Hard to stop smelling it because it's so darn pretty.

This fragrance is SOOOO beautiful, I have to write about it! It's lusciously generous with the rose - but I get a sweetly smooth (black currant) and sultry combo with the patchouli and musk. It seems fairly linear, but it's like PERFECTION to me. It's a wonderful bedtime scent, so warm and comforting, very therapeutic! The silage is crazy good and you don't need more than a single spray for it to stick around for a few good hours. Highly recommend - I found it at a crazy good price, $29 for the 3.4oz bottle, on eBay.

I adore this fragrance. So very clean and fresh, alluring, stunning and SOPHISTICATED are words I'd use to describe. I receive so many compliments. D.Y. is on my list of top favorites along with: Armani Code, Elie Saab, Dahlia Divin, Tory Burch, Narciso Rodriguez for Her, Roberto Cavalli, Cartier De Lune, Angel, Stella McCartney, Bvlgari Aqva Divina and etc. However, I've never considered this for late spring or summer. Never tried it during those seasons, perhaps because I savor it for specific times of the year.

This is a fantastic all around fragrance. I'm pleased to see other reviewers also feel it's appropriate for all seasons, (day or evening). David Y. is quite sexy and sophisticated but not too mature. It's also worth noting that while the fragrance notes are similar to the more popular ones, it's not sweet, too floral or powdery. The latter also makes it a wonderful everyday perfume. Also, the scent is fresh and clean but not at all soapy. I really suggest you give this one try. Wear it the office!

Very sophisticated perfume. I got mine today from express purchase on Ebay. Payed US 53 the lot and I must say, the first ever curiosity pays off during visit to DY store in Las Vegas and this wasn't in stock. Returned home and thinking its almost our anniversary so I quickly order it. This is something we don't have in store here and never will! Generously score 9/10 for this without doubt

This was a blind purchase. It was in a beautiful box set. I was attracted to the bottle. When I sprayed it I immediately thought classy, a fragrance for a mature woman but not too mature. The dry drown was different. I was able to smell the black currant and lily. It reminded me of Coco Chanel. It definitely awakens the senses, in a good way.

I'm a guy but I insist heavily for my wife to own this so I got it for her and now it's a rare find,. One of the most prestigious blend of perfume as it touches the skin. I don't know if I will ever encounter this kind in the future. So now a bottle is like a jewel sitting in the closet

Just got a 50ml bottle at Winners for $36.00 , so I picked it up- blind buy. It has that LARGE smell of something like Estee Lauder's " Knowing". Not that the notes are so much the same, but just that huge smell and sillage -almost a too rich smell.....

THIS IS BOND NO 9 NEW YORK OUD VERBATIM!!!!!! Honestly, i cannot tell the difference. I was wondering if i thought NYO was too feminine and now i know it is. With that being said, this is a delicious fragrance for a woman. Love..

I was afraid it would be too strong and give me a headache but I really like it. Good long lasting fragrance. I layer the perfume with the lotion. Good stuff! I also think it smells very similar to Givenchy Eaudemoiselle.

A very sophisticated perfume.It is one of my favorites and the black currant in it along with the rose is fabulous.The lasting power is long with this one,which I love.

This is a beautiful exotic fragrance. It smells dignified. This is something a world traveler would wear. Independant and interesting. I love this!

That's a very pleasant floral perfume. The peony is very noticeable here.

Bright high note, bubbly - like champagne, luminous, sophisticated, smells expensive, unusual unique combination of ingredients - I really haven't smelled many things that this would be similar to. -------------- I was out shopping this evening and had a couple of women that came up to me and asked me what fragrance I was wearing. They had this wistful look in their eyes, and immediately wanted to know the name of the perfume and where I found it. (This is a GOOD SIGN!!!) I take it for granted that sometimes I wear a fragrance and can't smell it on myself... I dismiss this as if the fragrance must have faded, when in fact - it is wearing well with great silage. I told the women that I thought that it was completely gone, when in fact they said that they could smell it the moment that they walked into the store, and I was about 20 feet from the door! ---------------- This fragrance has a fabulous dry down and endurance. It has a unique smell to it, which at first smelled like "dental chemicals"-- but the 2nd time I smelled this, this was not so offensive, but quite alluring. This has a very bright, biting type high notes but dries down into a nice luminous, bright, blonde, effervescent, bubbly, up-beat and sophisticated fragrance. This was introduced to me from the list that I brought in to the department store, trying to find a fragrance that would be similar to my beloved Eau Du Ciel, by Annick Goutal... which has become very difficult to find in my area. The early morning test: This fragrance was so enticing when I woke up to it early this morning and smelled it on my wrist. It stayed on over 12 hours and actually dried down to one of the best aromas that I have smelled the morning after spraying on my wrist. I love the final phase where the top notes levels off to a really incredible blend... the initial top note is HIGH on me. but the dry down is truly scrumptious. I really love it. It seems to fit a gap in my fragrance wardrobe for something that is a bit lighter and brighter than Beautiful and Ysatis, but not in the extremely high range, like Fracas. --------------- As a singer and musician, when I find a fragrance that has a blended chord... where all of the notes appear to come in as a full chord - these fragrances seem to be the most appealing to me with my own chemistry and normally elicit the most compliments from both men and women. I've found a couple of fragrances that have this type of effect on me, Beautiful - by Estee Lauder is definitely one of them. I can not smell this on me, but people constantly comment how good it smells. When I smell Beautiful on my wrist, it is coming in as a full bodied chord, no striking notes screaming for attention... just a beautiful bouquet or garden of flowers... intoxicatingly gorgeous- and viewed as a "full chord"... not individual notes - trying too hard to claim the spot light. ---------------- David Yurman took some time to grow on me. I have been sampling this in a smaller sample size and the more that I wear this, the more that I love it. The higher octave note is becoming less screeching and I appreciate the scent more now -- knowing how fabulous the dry-down is with this one and how long it lasts on my skin. This may become a warmer weather spring/summer fragrance signature. ----------------- Jacuzzi after the gym - this stuff is still ON... and smells like a delicious broth with my chemistry. The high note is now less obvious and the chord has blended into the alto register. I am really liking this, particularly since this is a great way to test the endurance of a fragrance. This proves that it wears well with my chemistry and would be a better value because you would not need to respray as often. -------------------- I liked this fragrance enough to try a sample of the other 4 David Yurman perfumes. If you are not finding the original David Yurman great with your chemistry, I recommend trying samples of the other four and reading the reviews to find your very favorite one. -------------------- The notes and chords in this fragrance range from alto to soprano, but are not lifting into the rafters like Calvin Klein's Eternity, Madonna's Truth or Dare, or Fracas. For a signature fragrance, this is in the range that I would definitely consider. The blend is intoxicatingly beautiful, especially when you wake up to this and it is still lingering on your arm. This is unique, I've not smelled a fragrance with these same notes in it. The acid test - is to see the compliments and the wistful look in people's eyes when they ask for the name of your fragrance. I can definitely tell that I've found a winning fragrance when I get this type of response! This is a Winner and a Keeper! Love it!

همیشه دافعه بی‌موردی نسبت به عطرای دیوید یورمن داشتم، تست نکرده عطراشو به دردنخور می‌دونستم، شاید یک دلیلش هم این بود که از شیشه‌هاش خوشم نمی‌اومده. تا اینکه چند ماه پیش تو کیش فروشنده‌ای که فک می‌کرد با تست هرچی عطر تو فروشگاه هست بالاخره یه عطری ازش می‌خریم، دیوید یورمن فرگرنس هم تست کرد، تو اون همه عطری که به زور وادار به تستمون می‌کرد تنها عطری که توجه‌مو جلب کرد همین عطر بود. البته با اینکه من توجه‌م جلب شد ولی دوستم ازش خوشش نیومد و زور زدن فروشنده بی‌نوا بی‌نتیجه موند، و حالا که هوا یه کم مناسب تست این عطر شده دوباره تستش کردم. نمی‌خوام بگم این عطر شاهکاره، ولی به نسبت قیمت و در صورت پوشیدن درست عطر بسیار ارزنده‌ایه. فرگرنس یه عطر گرم فلورال مشکی و چوبی با محوریت رزه. رز پادشاه گل‌ها یکی از پرکاربردترین گل‌ها در عطرسازیه که البته متاسفانه برای ما ایرانی‌ها اکثر مواقع جذاب نیست. حضور رز توی عطرای زنونه قدمت طولانی‌ای داره، اما رز توی عطرای مردانه همواره مهجور بوده. طی یکی دو دهه گذشته برندهای زیادی توجه‌شون به رز توی عطرای مردونه و یونیسکس جلب شده، توی اکثر عطرای مردونه‌ای که رز استفاده شده معمولا یا با پچولی و یا با عود همنشین شده. همنشینی با عود فضایی سن بالا و توهمی از سنگینی و همنشینی با پچولی فضایی کلاسیک به وجود میاره، غز پغیوه و ولغ د غوز هر دو از لاغتیسان پاغفومه، از بهترین نمونه‌های همنشینی رز و پچولی هستن. اتفاقا آخرین عطر زنونه‌ی رزی که تست داشتم آزارو پوغ ال اکستریم بود که اونجا فضایی سن بالا و به قول بسیاری عطری پیرزنی حکمفرما بود، توی دیوید یورمن هم همنشینی رز و و پچولی یادآور همنشینی رز و پچولی کارای مردونه و یونیسکس چند دهه اخیره و برخلاف نظر خیلی‌ها اصلا قبول ندارم که عطر سن بالاست بلکه به دلیل وجه کلاسیک و سنگین و موقر، شما لازم دارین که پوشش مناسبی برای پوشیدن این عطر داشته باشین که جذابیت‌های این عطر جلوه‌گر بشن. این عطر مناسب استفاده روزانه و دم دستی نیست و یه مقدار استایل جا افتاده‌ای می‌طلبه، برای همین خیلی‌ها با این عطر ارتباط برقرار نمی‌کنن چون عطر رو تو یه بیرون رفتن معمولی و با مانتوی کژوال می‌پوشن و واویلا مث پوشیدن کت و شلوار با صندل می‌مونه این کار. فقط کافیه یه لباس تیره‌ی جدی موقر و رسمی‌طور بالاخص رنگ مشکی بپوشید؛ در واقع ساده‌ش اینه که فک کنید اگه تو یکی از سالن های اپرای اروپا قرار بود با کسی برین به تماشای یه اپرا با چه لباسی می‌رفتین؟ منظورم این نیست که همون لباس رو بپوشین بلکه لباستون چنین حسی رو باید بده و اصلا لازم نیست به همون جدیت باشه،اونوقت بزنید بیرون و این عطرم بپوشید بعد می‌بینید که تا چه میزان بوی لوکسی می‌دید، اونم با یه عطر ارزون قیمت. شروع عطر کمی قدیمی، دمده، آشنا و حتا چیپ و تو ذوق زننده‌ست، اما بعد از کمتر از یه رب این شروع چیپ تبدیل به رایحه‌ی لوکسی می‌شه که برای من تداعی‌گر بوی یه پرنسسه که اگرم شیطون و شوخ شنگه ولی به خاطر پرنسس بودنش خلاف اونچه که هست سنگین و موقر رفتار می‌کنه و لباس می‌پوشه. این عطر جون می‌ده برای قرارای بیرون شبای سرد پاییز و زمستون، قرارایی که می‌خواین توشون با متانت و شیک جلوه کنین جایی که زنانگیتون از دل متانت و آرام بودن و موجه بودنتون جلوه کنه نه از دل راحتی، لوندی و شر و شیطون بودنتون. اپنینگ این عطر ترشیده، شیرین، بالزامیکی و با فوران رایحه رزه، آکورد چوبی هم از همون ابتدا آروم آروم شروع به رو اومدن می‌کنه در کل همونطور که گفتم شروع بدی داره، ولی این اصلا مهم نیست چون سریع می‌گذره و فقط کافیه این شروع رو تو تنهاییتون بگذرونین و بعد از فروکش کردن تاپ نت وارد جمع بشین. بعد از مدت کوتاهی خواهید دید که رز حاضر در این عطر چطور وجهی تلخ و چوبی و جذاب به خودش می‌گیره، رزی با ساقه و برگ و گل. و هاله‌ای از رایحه‌ای رزی و گلی و چوبی با ته حالتی پودری (پودری بودن عطر به خاطر حضور پونیه البته وجه پودریش چندان قوی نیست).شما رو در بر می گیره، هاله‌ای قوی که به لطف مشک زیاد سیاژ قدرتمندی هم داره و به راحتی ۴ تا ۵ ساعت توجه اطرافیان رو به شما جلب می کنه. به نظرم پچولی‌ای که تو این عطر استفاده شده مرغوب نیست و از پچولی تازه استفاده شده درسته که بخشی از رایحه ترشیدگی به خصوص در اوپنینگ کار به خاطر وجه بالزامیکی و شیرینی توامان انگور فرنگیه (مویز آفتاب خورده‌ای رو وسط ظهر گرم تصور کنید که هنوز کامل خشک نشده) ولی پچولی هرچه کهنه‌تر باشه حس غنی‌تری داره و پچولی تازه ته‌بوی ترشیدگی داره برای همین فک می‌کنم دافعه نسبت به انگور فرنگی توی این عطر بخشیش به پچولی برمی‌گرده. تا جایی که تجربه‌ی کمم بهم می‌گه خانم‌ها با رایحه پچولی زیاد ارتباط برقرار نمی‌کنن، البته هستن عطرایی که می‌تونن این نگاه رو به پچولی عوض کنن مثل انجل تیری موگله. ولی همنشینی رز و پچولی تو این عطر فضایی مطلقا زنانه و موقر به جود آورده که اگر منصف باشیم تو این رنج قیمتی نمی‌تونیم رقیب درست و حسابی‌ای براش پیدا کنیم، در کل همه تعاریفی که از این عطر می‌کنم وابسته ست به قیمت معقول و پایینش و در نسبت قیمته که عطر بسیار ارزشمندیه. به دلیل اینکه این عطر رو اصلا مناسب استفاده مداوم و روزانه نمی‌بینم به نظرم اصلا ریسک بلایند بای کردنش رو نکنید چون احتمال پشیمونیتون زیاده ولی حتما برای یه بارم شده تستش کنید و یه عطر شیک و مقرون به صرفه رو از دست ندید.

I'm not sure why I never reviewed this until now. I've had it for over 2 years - pre-pandemic, that is! I recall liking it, but not being blown away. Still, there are plenty of perfumes I own that fall into the same category and I still wear them. I suppose it got lost in the shuffle that occurred when my sweet hubby took it upon himself to 'rearrange" my collection while I was in quarantine with my mother for three months. I was really upset but never let on because he really thought he was doing a good thing! Okay - enough of that. I'm giving it a proper wearing today. I've been exploring more of my rose and peony scents and developing an appreciation for them. You could have knocked me over with a feather when I discovered that black currant was not just a note, but considered the predominant note. I normally loathe currant and most berries with the exception of raspberry. True to the brands claims, it really is more of an amalgamation of notes creating it's own scent, though the rose and peony ring loud an clear. It's very proper, and as a woman over age 50, I feel I've earned the right to say that this is best left to more mature wearer. See there, youngsters? You can get a point across without using derogatory or at least hurtful terms such as "smells like old lady" or "smells like granny perfume". Just my two cents worth. With that said, it most definitely reminds me of a creation from the 70s or 80s. Not as loud as the 80s, or as much of a green chypre as the 70s, but the best of both worlds. It is potent by today's standards@, so if you dare venture, go light on the trigger, and away from the face. One or at most 2 sprays to each wrist is more than enough to get lovely wafts of fragrance without choking office mates, or dates for that matter! Longevity is over 5 hours, maybe longer. Like a few others, I have the adorable 30 ml size that resembles a cut jewel capped by a sapphire. Simple and elegant. I'm going to leave this out where I can see it and wear it during the cooler days as we head into the springtime. Plenty of cool, even cold, days and nights to come. Is it a masterpiece? Not to me, but it's helpful for me as I learn to appreciate and understand peony, and for times when I'd like a touch of both sophistication and a reminder of days gone by. Perhaps I will call it a Mini-masterpiece! PS - I'm not challenging anyone's perception of DY, or any fragrance for that matter. It's personal. However, after reading all the reviews, I need to point out that a few people said this is a dupe for Bond New York Oud. If anything, it's the other way around, as DY came out in 2008 while BNYO came out in 2011 or 13.

Sweet wet florals+soft black currant+patchouli+musk make this classy;deep;dark golden rich smelling scent It seems linear but now after a week I can find many layers here...after it's sprayed it smells just like a sweet champagne.after two minutes or so smoky and wet black rose wrapped in patchouli is prominant on my skin but as time passes it dries down to a floral musk which I die for it(as I love musk) The scent is clean but not soapy;sweet and warm but not too much;sophisticated and mature but not old You can wear this queen in all seasons but I don't sujest wearing it in hot&humid climate For me David yurman fragrance is just LOVE...indeed it is my golden wine..the scent is as golden as the bottle..it's glowing and sparkly..it's addictive.stays on skin for hours and hours.sillage not enormous for me but for sure is heavy Right now this beauty is one of my top ten روايح شيرين گلي+رايحه لطيف انگور سياه+پچولي+مشك اين عطر باكلاس عميق طلايي تيره با رايحه اي گرانقيمت و لوكس رو بوجود ميارن درتست اول شايد خطي به نظر برسه اما بعد از يك هفته استفاده لايه هاي متعددي دراين عطر حس كردم..دراولين اسپري رايحه اي بسيار شبيه به شامپاين شيرين شده به مشامم رسيد..اما بعد از حدود دودقيقه عطر رز كاملا روي پوست من غالب شد..رزمشكي مرطوب و درعين حال دودي ك توسط رايحه پچولي احاطه شده باشه اما همينطور ك زمان ميگذره رايحه مشك غالبتر ميشه..يه مشك لطيف و غني گلي ك براش ميميرم رايحه عطر تميز هست ولي نه صابوني؛غني و بالغ هست ولي قديمي و سن بالا نيست؛شيرين و گرم هست ولي نه زيادي عطري هست ك شايد خيليا براي استفاده چهارفصل مناسب بدوننش اما عميقا بهتون توصيه ميكنم ك درشرايط آب و هوايي گرم و مرطوب سراغش نريد..هرچي هوا سردتر و خشكتر باشه رايحه عطر جذابتر وعسلي تر ميشه(عسل نداره تو رايحش..منظورم از عسلي روان وغليظ بودن عسل و رنگش هست) براي من ديديد يورمان طلايي خود عشقه..شراب طلايي من هست..رايحش درست به اندازه شيشه ش طلايي رنگه..براق و درخشان و اعتيادآور.. و ساعتها و ساعتها روي پوستم ميمونه..پخش عطر خيلي خيلي زياد نيست اما مسلما زياده درحال حاضر جزو ده عطر محبوب منه :)

This perfume is an interesting experience. At first hit I thought they had put an animal in it. I could detect something sharp like civet but I realized it was the Peony that comes thru as a sharp sweetness on me. Then I knew it was going to get interesting because I love a perfume that plays with my head. And I was right. This perfume is complex and multi layered. This is very sexy to me. I do not like to be bored. The rose in this is delicate and well balanced, like an expensive black rose that you special order for someone incredible, dark and mysterious. I get the lotus. It comes thru as green in this in layers. The dry down is where I get the warmth of the musk but very subtle and still holding a slight citrus sweetness. I can see me wearing this in the spring and summer in the late evening and night. Like I said, a complex, multilayered sexy scent that stays a little closer to my skin and that's the way I like it at night.. Do not underestimate this one. It's quite lovely and intense.

As soon as I sprayed this on the feeling of walking through an antique shop hit me. It has the smell of dried roses pressed between the pages of a book; remnants of perfume worn by the previous owners of the antiques; the smell of quality wood furnishings; spicy potpourri; and so many other scents associated with past lives now sold in an antique shop. I find my initial impression really weird but somehow in this perfume it works. I like it. I love the little 1oz. bottle created like jewelry with it's faceted shape, gold chaining, and faux sapphire cap. It's a little work of art.

the peony, rose, and musk really come through. i think a nice fragrance, though on me it didnt last long. really nice for work. a mature 25+ fragrance. honestly though nothing really stood out to me. nice but not interesting enough for me. could be an everyday or nighttime fragrance. later after wearing it for a while i sprayed myself once with Fleur d'Interdit by Givenchy and the combination smelled great. it added a fruity tone to the rose and musk.

I mainly smell an accord of chamomile, a warm, sweet, and lightly spicy floral. I'm impressed that a perfumer has gone this route, whether they meant to or not. The gold of the bottle ties in well with the golden feel of the fragrance (and, of course, my mental image of the golden hue of hot chamomile tea is influencing that quite a lot). Feminine and sweet but not cloying, I think this would be great for office wear.

Got a sample of this randomly and went for a test without checking out the notes or reading any reviews, and I immediately thought "I've smelled this before." It took me a bit to figure out that I was thinking of the original Narciso Rodriguez Narciso white cube. The further it gets into the drydown, the more it reminds me of Cartier La Panthere. So overall, it's beautiful, lush, and bold, but not original at all.

Ok, finally giving it a try, being alone at home before daring to wear it on a normal day at work. I am waiting to see how does it perform, after reading the reviews below, I still think is a kinda loud at the opening and I need to see when it become unisex, since right now after 20 mins. the aroma is totally towards the feminine side, well I'll update this later...

This is really good. It's very sexy without being coying in anyway, very subtle in it's intrigue, very inciting. The patchouli does what I love patchouli to do, it's very relaxed, elevates the rose and peony and the black currant and musk mellow it out. Quite beautiful. Short longevity. 7.5/10

@Alley-D It is a totally different scent in cool/cold weather. I put it on in the heat and could barely get any scent from it. I got back in my car and cranked up the AC. Within 2 minutes I could smell it growing. I feel it does love the cool/cold weather :) Don't give up on it!

I can tell a huge difference in how temperature affects this fragrance. In the high heat and humidity, I could barely smell it. Once I returned to my car and cranked the A/C, there is was again.......as wonderful as ever. This will definitely be placed in my winter section.

Definitely a winter rose. Warm, just musky enough, stays very subtle on my skin and yet enough sillage and longevity to remind you she's there throughout the day. Will definitely be making a FS purchase of this in the future.

Love this! It is subtle, comforting, creamy. I can wear this anywhere. It feels very expensive. I get compliments when I wear this fabulous arrangement. It is symphonic!

well blended, mature & classy, not rating high on uniqueness factor but then it is safe for work/daytime. p.s. bought in the hope that the rose was more dominant.

I got a sample of this and am wearing it right now. I like it! It's crisp, clean, comforting and classic smelling to me. I probably wouldn't buy it though.

I tried this one soon after it came out. I thought the bottle was nice and had admired some Yurman jewelry on a friend so I had pretty high (apparently too high) expectations. I was anticipating something kind of modern and elegant, but on me this scent was just overwhelmingly strong. It was also very one-dimensional--no particular notes stood out and it was pretty much the same from beginning to end, which I found uninteresting. If you want a scent with exceptional staying power you might check this one out. Unfortunately, that's really the only positive thing I can say about it.

یک عطر رُز محور که در شروع کمی رَگه های کُهنه و اسپایسی داره و میشه به پچولی نسبت‌اش داد که البته زود از بین میره و کمی خنکی نعنا مانند در کنار گُل ها که اون بوی نعنایی هم سریع محو و غرق در رز میشه رز توی این عطر سُرخ و سبز و میوه ایه.هم رایحه‌ی گل‌برگ ها رو داره و هم با میزان کمتر،ساقه و برگ وجه میوه ای رز رو هم انگور بر عهده گرفته که طعم شیرین و گس‌ای به رز بخشیده عطر نسبتا خطی ای هست و تغییرات کم ای داره ایرانی پسند نیست چندان و من خوشم نیامد ************* scent:5/10 longevity:8/10 sillage:7/10 purchase value:1/10 ******* overall:5.2/10

Simply too heavy, unoriginal, ostentatious and old-fashioned (not in a good way) for my taste. Utterly lacking in creativity from an artist that inspired an entire unique genre of expensive jewelry. The bottle is much prettier than the actual fragrance it holds! Would put this in the same category with the new Gucci by Gucci fragrance, which also did not end up in my "like" list.

The bottle seemed somewhat overbearing to me, and then, so did the actual fragrance. The first top notes seemed like they might hold the promise of a chypre-floral scent, but then it turned into a brash, loud and obnoxious hanger-on, that had to be washed off.

My issues with patchouli are such a bummer. This is a scrubber because that's all I get and it's gut-churning, overwhelming and masculine (in the bad way of colognes that make me gag). And to kick me while I'm down, the scrub didn't even work. It's still screaming at me and wafting up to remind me what an idiot I am for sampling this. I need to get serious and no matter the glowing reviews and other promising notes or descriptions, just avoid that patchouli.
