Cool Water Aquaman Collector

I have a strange relationship with this scent. I would say I have almost no "appreciation" for it, in that I don't feel like it really sticks out from other freshies, but at the same time, I keep gravitating towards it. It is, I would say, well-executed and is easily worth the $20 they're asking for it, but it does very little to make itself stand out. Performance is actually really good and it doesn't really feel very "cheap" to me. I guess the best way of summing it all up is that it's a big dumb grab fragrance, but it's also a really really good dumb grab. EDIT: I would like to amend my old review. I've come to love this stuff. It's got surprising depth to it and performance is superb for a freshie like this. The Intense flanker used to be my favorite from the line, but this one is definitely a better (albeit distant) version of the Cool Water DNA. I'm sad that it'll most likely go away soon, although it sounds like their Limited Edition Street Fighter flanker is basically the same thing. Maybe I'll check it out.

Did not expect a lot of this one, but WOW. This is a steal for such a low price. I see that people have voted this to be similar to TF Mandarino di Amalfi. And the opening does remind me of that one. It is all about mandarin. But later the fragrance start to change into a fresh woody scent. A fragrance that develops over time and for such a low price. Unbelievable. A great dumb reach for spring, summer and also the warmer fall days. Great for the office too. I highly recommend this one.

Don't let the fact that this is basically just a movie advertisement turn you away. This is good. Yes it's "just another mass appealing blue fragrance" but that isn't a bad thing. If you want "art" then you probably shouldn't be buying a Cool Water flanker. It's starts out bright and sweet and as it dries down it becomes a little more woodsy sweet. I'm bad at describing scents, but just know that this smells great. And I get excellent longevity out of it.

Just got a bottle at TJ Max. I couldn't believe when I seen it and for$24.99,couldn't pass it up. Smells pretty good but to me not much like the original. To my nose it kinda smells like Azzaro chrome pure only not at all sweet. Has really good performance and sillage. It wasn't what I was expecting with the name Aquaman but I still like it and would recommend it.

This smells AMAZING! I was just looking for something to use in my work truck so I didn’t use my high end fragrances. And I tell you what I will be wearing this outside of work as well. Good stuff for 20 bucks! Also Cool water wave smells great as well.

This has no rite being this good. Such a beautiful sharp citrus opening and even 10 hours after applying I can still smell that mandarin. Genuinely fantastic and I need to get myself a spare bottle as a backup.

So easy to wear. Don’t listen to people that look for needles in hay,little sweet,little citrusy ,24€ for 125ml,bargain to make u feel fresh and clean on sunny days. Grab a bottle,and enjoy yourself.

Wonderful clear scent, sharp, honest without any sweetish BS... for those, who wants to express himself as a cold shark. Who knows what he wants and able to do, not for the schmoozing, begging guys.

just bought the perfume. it is a drier citrus woodier and less sweet version of the original ..... no bad... I would call it “cool water cologne”

This is a good fragrance imo. It does remind me of the original at the opening, and keeps a slight bit of its DNA in the mid to dry down. I will say I doubt anyone will say “hey, is that a cool water flanker?”. It has hints of the original, but just hints imo. As far as being generic.. yes I feel it is a crowd pleaser. But it’s not cheap or nasty smelling. It’s simply a very fresh citrus crowd pleaser. Performance is decent, but being fresh and citrusy it’s deffinitely not a powerhouse fragrance. If you want it to project more just spray one or two more times. No biggie. It is not sweet much at all to my nose. It’s more of a dry manderin (think soap as opposed to shampoo). It isn’t too synthetic and it invokes a white tee and jeans feeling for me. Not to be taken too seriously, but not a juvenile scent either. The lack of sweetness makes it more refined and great for a true “out of the shower” scent, and the mandarin adds a pop that the original (I have yet to repurchase after a 3.4) falls short of. Don’t get me wrong Cool Water is a legendary scent, but like ADG, not one I’d reach for too much these days. Ages are college and up, day to night leaning day, and definitely a warm weather scent as it won’t cut through to cold. Great for casual settings, possibly work, and laid back dates (lunch by the river/afternoon movie). It also might be good for the club in the summer whenever they reopen, since it’s fresh/clean and more inviting because of the citrus than the original. Make sure to dress accordingly though. Now that I have this I definitely won’t be repurchasing the OG cool water any time soon. Overall.. good juice.

It's too bad this scent had a bizzare commercial release (Street Fighter is the same scent, yet this edition is often cheaper FYI). At the initial spray, for a fleeting moment, is the original cool water vibe, then just as quickly a sweet citrus takes over. As it settles the wood and pepper smooth out to a clean shower gel vibe, in the line with Jaguar Pace, but still holding a slight citrus tone. Performance is on par with most summer oriented fragrances, but not great. Good two hours with heavy sprays for projection, then settles and fades over the course of another four hours. Not a bad summer choice, inoffensive and very reasonably priced at discounters. I still prefer Nautica Voyage or even Antonio Banderas Blue Seduction to this, but worth having if your collection is ridiculous because, well addiction I guess. Cheers all.

Picked this up a couple years ago from a discounter, I think it was one of those deals like if you spend this much you get free shipping and this pushed it up to that amount anyways on to the scent itself the opening is a refreshing blast of citrus as it dries down it gets slightly more woodier and less citrus but basically will stay that way the rest of the time you are wearing it .....you can kinda get the original Cool Water DNA lingering in the background, overall it's decent with a gimmicky bottle and if you like Fresh, citrusy, aquatic scents you will probably enjoy this one, Performance and projection are not great but defiantly decent for the price ....it's a good dumb reach for the summer it's nothing mind blowing

I really like this one, but I'm a big fan of aquatic scents on men. It smells so clean and fresh and definitely masculine. There's strong citrus in the opening, but it fades into the aquatic pretty quickly. It's pleasant all the way through, and for something with pretty simple and few notes, it's very nicely done. I just bought it for my husband at Burlington for $16.99 for a 4.2 oz, and as well as I like it, I think it was a killer deal. He's not too into fragrance, but I'm hoping the name "Aquaman" might pique his interest. I think this could be worn year round, but it leans a bit more spring/summer to me.

Finally smelled it, dissapointed to say the least. It smells good, don't get me wrong, but is a very basic aquatic with some wood and some pepper and also some citrus, but nothing to talk about. It smells like a supermarket fragrance, to be honest. Put a David Beckham on it or Adidas and there it is, it is that basic and bad. The original still blows it out of the water. I'll do say that I like it more than the Intense version, which I really hate because of the coconut.

Nice for summer, around the house or even in the office. I definitely don’t want to reach for this one after I’ve been sweating. The sea-saltiness is very appealing in almost any other summer situation. Ash from the GentsScents Youtube channel recommended it as a great summer cheapie.

Nice and clean scent. A bit soapy at the start. Very easy to wear during summer or spring days. Very pleasant. The more I smell it the more I like it and start to smell the a nice orange. Extremely good value. I picked up a 125ml for $25.

It’s a bit basic and smells a bit cheap but it is nice. Just something to reach for on a hot day and not have to think about. For how cheap it is though it’s great value

is it Sauvage inspired? it sounds like Sauvage inspired from those 3 notes

SPORT/GYM FRESHIE W/ SLIGHT PEPPERY+WOODY DEPTH & SYNTHETIC CANDIED ORANGE Soapy shower gel sport deodorant smell initially with some mandarin orange that's really rind(y) + adds (synthetic) citric sweetness, as it dries it gets slightly pepper-spicy darker/deeper/earthy (has 'deep blue' oceanic water plant or leaf smell) with a tiny bit of the og cool water green-floralness underneath it all; the orange is rind(y) sour/tart and candied-like orange jolly-rancher and seems out of place or overdone and actually takes away from the fresh clean deep blue accord imo (lemon or bergamot or even grapefruit would've been better), it gets a little powdery and shower gel(y) as it dries and when fully dried the sandalwood brings in creaminess remaining with the darker/deeper/earthy 'deep blue' smell but the is orange gone; definitely a sporty/gym casual type frag but with some depth; not a bad fragrance for the $$, performance is fitting for a $20 frag. Projection/Sillage': LIGHT, aromatic with scent trail for the 1st hour or so then becomes an in-close scent thereafter Performance/Longevity: DECENT, 4-5 hours at best.

Very little to do with the original Cool Water - you could maybe draw comparisons with a few of the summer flankers because that is really what this is. This is a far more citrusy and soapy affair - in the drydown you get quite a deep woody base from the Guaiac Wood which works surprisingly well with the fizzy citrus. I don't get any pepper so if that note puts you off then it's not a big deal here. Smells great in the air but less so on my skin - may have to test again in spring/summer as this is probably not the time to be judging what is for me a Summer flanker.

Smear some green mandarin onto a corrugated box and you got this...at least that's what my nose is telling me.🤣

What a disappointment. I’m a big fan of Cool Water and all his flankers, but there is no CW-dna in this one. All you get is a cheap version of Sauvage, which by itself smells very cheap to me. This is a big miss, hope Davidoff gets it right next time.

Dark aquatic with strong pepper note. Not impressed. I prefer freshe and light scents for summer. This smells dark and heavy.

Nothing shared with original coolwater or its flankers. It is a new scent. Not aquatic by all means. it is sweet more than refreshing in my opinion which was not expected as a coolwater flanker. opens with a blast of synthetic sweet citrus and goes very quickly into a base of woody/ambery notes. At the final drydown you get a hint of the similar synthetic ambergris used in baccarat rouge or maybe parfumes de marly Kalan. it has good lasting power and mass appeal. For its heavily discounted price it is a good deal.

I don't know what everyone else is smelling but this fragrance smells nothing like the original cool water. I blind bought this fragrance today and on the way home I sprayed it on. I suddenly realized that I knew this scent. When I got home I was standing in front of my collection and was trying to figure out what it smelled like and then boom it hit me. This smells exactly like guess 1981 and a cheapy by Jean Rish called Genesis. If you have one of these then you don't need the other two.Redundant

This is a special edition of Cool Water. Basic profile of the scent is same, aquatic summer perfume but this one is a much lighter scent throughout. Opening is similar to original coolwater but then the aquaman edition has more fresh middle notes and base. After aquatic and lemony opening the middle is saltwater and lotus with base of violet and sandalwood. Silage and longevity are moderate but that is to be expected from a cheap fresh scenet.

Jerome Di Marino is fast becoming one of my top 3 perfumers give him the budget and I believe he will eventually be the next Francis Demachy Dior! For this being so simple yet outstanding there’s nothing out there that smells like this A F ING MAZING FRAGRANCE! It’s like a FRESH DARK AQUATIC MASTERPIECE ❤️❤️❤️🔥🔥🔥

After a quick use, this is almost identical to Givenchy gentleman cologne but orange instead of lemon in the opening. You cant really complain about 25$ 125ml bottle. Fresh woody kinda different from the entire Cool Water line. I'll pass this is not my cup of tea.

I don't get green mandarin at all, I get an effervescent lemon fizzy sherbert right off the top. It's really pleasant and refreshing, performance is slightly above average for a summer freshie type scent. One of, if not the best of cool waters many flankers.

This is an amazing fragrance it just doesn’t last at all 30 minutes it’s gone it’s basically a mix of invictus and cool water that’s what it smells like I’m surprised nobody has mentioned this.

Seems like 'mandarin' is the in note for new summer releases this year, counting off Cool Water intense, ADG Profondo, Azzaro Chrome Extreme and this one, however will sample when it comes out

Just recieved today. How people don't smell the OG DNA is beyond me. It just has a twist to it. Perfect for out of shower literally!!! Dry down is Irish spring soap

Nice and clean. Great for hot summer days. Irish Spring soap type smell.
