Cool Water Parfum

Ok, so I got this in today and I'm halfway through my first wearing, or maybe not even halfway yet. Longevity seems to be above average, bordering on beastly right now but it might die off quickly. Upon application it is far more fruity than either Sauvage Eau de Toilette or Parfum and for some reason I don't get any resemblance to the Eau de Parfum, just like a slightly more fruity version of the edt in the opening and like a slightly less dark and resinous version of the Parfum in the mid and drydown. The best way I can describe this scent is if you take the creamy-woodiness of Bleu de Chanel Parfum's base, just the base, take Sauvage Parfum's mid and base with the darker resins stripped away, and add the opening of Sauvage edt, just a little more fruity and a little less metallic, then you'd have exactly this. It's nice and I'm enjoying it very much. I purchased it as I'm out of my Sauvage Parfum and I was hoping for a replacement for less money, and it could be possibly for many people, but the darker resins are what I enjoyed the most about it so I'm going to be getting another bottle of it asap. But with summer approaching fast and the fact that I've been needing to pick up some more fresher fragrances this definitely has a place in my collection. The vetiver is of much higher quality than I expected from such an inexpensive fragrance! However, I still prefer the Intense version myself. Yes it comes across more synthetic than this version but it projects much better, has that icy freshness yet also has a good bit of depth and sweetness along with it and that's what I look for in my warm weather oriented fragrances. I'd put this in the category of something like Ferragamo Acqua Essenzialle Blue, but swap the amber in it for vetiver. Scent: 8.25 out of 10 Longevity: 8.5 out of 10 Sillage: 8.5 out of 10 Uniqueness: 6.5 out of 10 Presentation: 8 out of 10 Overall: 8 out of 10 Edit: Upon further wearings this is actually pretty dang close to Sauvage Parfum in the opening, and as it dries down this becomes more airy and wood heavy due to the vetiver while Sauvage Parfum takes a creamier, more resinous direction. But you can definitely tell this is a Parfum concentration. It sits a little closer to the skin but longevity is great and sillage is very consistent throughout the day.

Between the original and the edp flanker, I feel like this may be my favorite one. Since this is a parfum concentration, it doesn't project as much as the edp, but I think it has similar longevity. All of the "20 minutes and it's gone" people are definitely going nose blind to it. For some reason thus one is harder to find compared to the edt and edp. I was able to pick up the 50ml bottle of this for $27 on Jomashop. Online retailers may be the only way to get it since I have never seen the parfum on any of the store shelves (at least here in the States). I easily get 8-10 hours longevity and a solid arms length projection for 2-3 hours. I typically wear this at work and for other daytime casual uses. If you have a very small and limited collection, this could easily be an evening out fragrance. For me, that's not the case since I have a larger collection with some higher quality options for the evening. That's not to say this is a low quality fragrance, but I'd say its a very solid mid range scent that is mass appealing and borrows from the Sauvage edt playback. If you like the Cool Water line like I do, this is worth picking up as a super versatile 3-4 season frag that you can safely wear for any casual to office level applications.

Yo, guys, let me introduce you to something that’s been flying under the radar—Davidoff Cool Water Pure Parfum. Released in 2021, it’s been criminally underrated, but trust me, this fragrance is a gem. If you’re into the iconic Cool Water, this one’s like its bolder, more refined cousin. The opening hits you with this smooth Amber and Vetiver combo—way smoother than the Intense version, which packs a coconut punch. This Pure Parfum is more balanced, with a clean, masculine vibe that feels fresh but still warm. As it dries down, it reveals a creamy sandalwood that’s just chef’s kiss—woody but with this sweet, almost gourmand twist. What’s great about this one is it doesn’t smack you with that intense spiciness the Intense version has. It’s easier on the nose, making it perfect for day-to-night wear. You can rock it at work, on a date, or just chilling with friends. Plus, it lasts—8+ hours of solid wear time, and the projection is strong for the first couple of hours. For around 30$ for 50 ml, it’s a steal. Seriously, if you’re over 20, this is the kind of fragrance that’ll make people stop and ask what you’re wearing. I’m giving this one a solid 9/10—it’s just that good.

Simple notes if u look at it but it's a good alternative. On first nosing of the opening, it's all too familiar. The reviews are pretty accurate except I hardly see anyone mentioned the fresh sweetness on top of the lemon-spicy pepper combo and quite a masculine woody base underneath it. Yes this is nothing close to the Og. The comparison with Sauvage is accurate But everyone missed out the sweetness and dna of Invictus here. This is clearly Invictus+Sauvage hybrid Alternative (just like wave is og and Sauvage) Just like Armaf Hunter Intense is the same. Too sweet to be that close and straight up Sauvage Alternative. But for a perfume that has a Davidoff brand and cost around 40usd it is perfect for younger men since the juice profile suits them just about anywhere everywhere one can wear. I'll say this is a 7-8/10 juice rating for both price and scent.

Its a pretty good fragrance. For me I pick up a Fresh(Shower Gel), Little bit of Citrus with a decent amount of wood in the first hour. And after about an hour when it dried down, I swear I smelled mint and I LOVED IT. THE MINTY FRESH Lemon Smell I was getting was amazing. I give it a 8/10 Smell. But a 7/10 since it only lasted about 3 to 4 hours MAX on my skin. Also different people may smell this fragrance differently. My mom said It smell Peppery and Masculine but I pick up 0 pepper for my nose. Its not a bad blind buy because its smells very Safe and Sorta Generic but not in a bad way. I used to think the OG CoolWater was a very versatile and safe cologne but CW Parfum is More Versatile and Safe. Edit: After repsraying. 30 Minutes into the wear I definitely smell the pepper!

I already own Cool water intense, Parfum was the next one I wanted to add to my collection Finally got 100ml bottle Well.... It is a trully great, modern, versatile blue fragrance. It is fresh, a bit sweet and has a very decent perfomance I do like it a lot I bought it whilst back at home in Warsaw as it is very hard to get in London Something worth mentioning I don't get any literally any resemblance to Sauvage. Not sure why people say it's like Sauvage. Definitely not like Sauvage Edt or Edp I also love the presentation and the juice colour. Btw if collectors were ever wondering this 100ml is the same size as 125ml OG cool water bottle. Overall I am very happy with it. Parfum well done 8/10

I cannot lie. It is one of the best aquatic perfumes out there and the perfect substitute or even competition to Versace Dylan Blue and Dior Sauvage. It smells like a mix of the 2 and the original cool water and just presents it in a perfect way. Best value for money in this segment and perfect for the summer as it has woody notes that aren't too offensive given a perfect masculine touch. Lasts for over 12 hours and projects for at least 3-4 hours filling up a small room. 100% recommend to blind buy if you like Versace Dylan Blue or Dior Sauvage and this is in your budget. Requires only 5-6 sprays to last more than 12-15 hours. Although it smells nothing like the original cool water. 9/10

Just received the tester of this one. and for a tropical country like India this blows the intense version out of the water. love it. it has a soapy feel of Prada's. love this one totally. awesome. and it projects a lot even after its 2 hours mark. i will update the review once i get to know this one better. EDIT = I have just ordered a back up bottle of this one. Don't know when this greedy company would reformulate this cheap and ultra long lasting juice. You hardly get long lasting perfumes for summer. This is it. Must in your collection if you live in a tropical country. Back up bottle worthy. Enough said. PS - I got tester for 25$ for 100 ml. Which is extremely cheap.

I would describe this as a more laid-back Sauvage. It doesn't smell exactly like Sauvage or luna rosa carbon I would it's about 80% similar to those two. It's a softer and simpler scent. It doesn't have the depth of projection compared to the two but I think that's actually a good thing. Sometimes sauvage is just a little too strong for a gym or office/school setting. I think cool water parfum is perfect for those setting whilst still having solid longevity. I got a moderate projection for about 3 hours and overall longevity of 7 hours. Definitely not original but still a solid frag especially for beginners. Overall score 8/10

It's a simple, blue fragrance, and I'm a simple, blue fragrance kind of guy. I liked it as soon as I sprayed it. Didn't really get the Sauvage comparison at first (other than that it has a general "fresh, spicy, blue" vibe), but I can smell the similarity much more in the later dry-down. As a skin scent, it's pretty close. Like so many blues, it's good for just about any occassion or time of year. I love the versatility of these types of fragrances, but I can see how fragheads might find them boring... I definitely don't. This is a big "like" for me. Would be a "love" if I got better longevity and projection.

This gives me Bleu De Chanel Parfum vibes but slightly less sweet and dense more so than Sauvage to my nose. Got this for $25 or $20 on clearance from TJ Maxx for a 1.7oz. Good blind buy with not regrets. May pick up a backup if i see it again or once it hits the major discounters. Not really unique but definitely smells very nice. A nice dumb reach. If you have a lot of blue fragrances, this may be redundant. Good for any age and weather.

The opening on this is sauvage without a doubt. I'm not an expert at how long it stays smelling like it but this was powerful enough and lasted a good amount of time. For a cheap alternative this is great though it's almost fifty euros now for 100ml which isn't that cheap really and bit of a joke. 30 max only pay for this.

Is it linear? Yes. Does it last the whole day? Also yes. Does it smell mature without tipping over into elderly? Yes. Does it make me happy every time I catch a whiff? Yes. Is it an easy reach for work that I enjoy and trust to perform whether I am in the field or at the office? I refer you to my previous answers.

This has been my find of the summer. Lots of comparisons here to Dylan Blue and Sauvage, but I prefer it to both of those. Great longevity for a citrus fragrance and the base notes combination of vetiver and sandalwood really comes to the fore after the initial lemon freshness. Awesome value as well.

This bright vetiver freshie deserves more praise and attention. A zesty opening and smooth, spicy dry down makes this a sophisticated, yet simple fragrance - uncomplicated, crowd-pleasing, and versatile. Surprisingly long-lasting given the humble sillage.

Why people keep saying it smells like Sauvage Maybe a bit like sauvage parfum It's a great modern blue scent smelling both fresh and smart. Little powdery with good longevity and projection. I am very pleased with it. 8/10 easily

Like Prada carbon but less earthy, more creamy and with a touch of the original cool water in the base + some coconut Also doesn't make me completely noseblind like carbon does. Phenomenal for the price. Awesome quality

Great DNA, the best Cool Water in my opinion. Not the longest lasting or the best projection, but if the Sauvage DNA is too much for you and starts off great than just gets annoying after a while... this is perfect.

had a sample of this a while back so decided to buy a full bottle. Its so nice and refreshing like a luxurious bar of soap. It is definetly inspired by Dior Sauvage no doubt about it. 9/10

One word. Underrated. Cool Water Parfum takes the popular Cool Water to a higher level. So high, it sets the bar to the point that other blue frags must work really hard to beat it.

Love from first sniff. Awesome. A way better than Sauvage and Versace. And yes it is not ground breaking but it is very well balanced, comforting and stylish.

What this scent lacks in complexity it more than supplements with maximum wearability. Worth buying as a great long lasting blue cheapie for any occasion.

So I know that designer freshies aren't really that popular when it comes to enthusiastic thinking. It's recycled a lot and I guess that's what we'll keep getting considering fresh fragrances in the future. It's warranted when people dislike it, because the aromatic, spicy and citrusy combo has been done in huge quantities. There's plenty that smell just every so slightly different each time so hey, if you want a freshie then good for you man as you'll have more choice. Cool Water Parfum to me smells like a cocktail of Cool Water (by the tiniest amount, like pretty much all the flankers... if they do have any CW vibes at all) and part Sauvage/Invictus (maybe like CW/Invictus/Sauvage 10/60/30). It's got the spicyness of Sauvage (without the metallic scent) and the synthetic fresh Invictus vibe going on (I do see a resemblance towards Invictus Legend). There's not much to say. Floral hint all the way throughout, marine/green vibes in the mid and base along with your typical spicyness/woodiness of Sauvage. The lemon/pink pepper opening is actually veeeery similar to Invictus Victory's but fades rather quickly. Overall fairly solid, nothing groundbreaking, but to the general public this will be a very good crowd pleaser. Citrus, some spice, some woods, didn't expect much else really. For what it is, it's nice. I would give it maybe a 7.5/10 considering what's out there designer-wise. I bought it for a reason, I'm gonna give this a good wearing in Spring and Summer. If you're worried about it not lasting in the office, don't worry, it will and it'll do it well because the projection is moderate enough. Sticks to your skin like glue, so I didn't bother counting the hours until it disappeared. Def prefer this over the current version of the OG CW because it reminds me of something I scrub the toilet with tbf. CW Parfum will also be less headache inducing than CW Intense.

Davidoff Cool Water Perfume... if you want just a stronger version of the original cool water forget about it because that's what this is definitely not. It is a completely different scent which is surprising because in the traditional sense a perfume or eau de parfum (edp) is usually just a stronger version of an eau de toilette (edt) or eau de cologne (edc) due to a higher content of the same perfume oil. It seems to be a trend lately to offer edp's which are different to their edc or edt. I have noticed that with Joop homme and its perfume version and other fragrances as well. It says on the box " we have taken the original and added some vetiver" and I have to say no....you did not. If you took the original and added some vetiver it would smell different. The original Cool Water edt (2021) is slightly aquatic, white floral, musky and woody and itself has not much in common anymore with the original Cool Water edt released in 1988 which was a pure fresh aquatic and woody scent. No matter if you added vetiver to CW edt from 2021 or CW edt from1988 it just would not smell like CW perfume. What Coty has done is adding vetiver to a citric peppery and creamy sandalwood scent and they have done a good job. The fragrance follows a current trend using pink pepper and even though it is not listed i personally sense a light Tonka vibe as well. I personally don't understand the Sauvage comparison but i agree that there are similarities in the core. Davidoff cool water perfume does have it's own DNA though. If anyone wants to know what it smells like when you add vetiver to the ORIGINAL Cool Water edt scent from 1988 has to buy the two following fragrances and layer them. 1.Coty Aspen as a perfect copy of CW edt from 1988 2. Malizia Uomo Vetiver

This is a very good fragrance. For the price I got it for it's unbeatable. Does this smell similar to Sauvage? Oh yes. Is it spot on? No. This is more heavy on the lemon and Vetiver. The citrus on Sauvage is smoother, where with this one the lemon is super noticeable at the beginning. After a few minutes, that's when it's starts to smell like Sauvage. This fragrance definitely has Ambroxan, even though it's not listed in the notes. You can definitely smell that Ambroxan. Towards the dry down that's when the Vetiver starts to come out and it's a bit smokey in my opinion. So this is definitely at the least inspired by Sauvage, not a clone of it. You definitely smell similarities to Sauvage, but it's not a carbon copy of it. Now, the performance was pretty solid for me. I had no problem detecting the fragrance for 8hrs-9hrs. After that it had become a Skin Scent and even at the next day I could still smell it on my wrist. So the longevity I'd say is 8hrs-9hrs. Not bad for a $35 dollar fragrance. Definitely above average performance. Now, for Projection this definitely is another win. The projection for the first couple of hours is pretty loud. This definitely can anoy you if you overspray, so be careful. That Ambroxan definitely helps the fragrance pop off your skin. The Sillage is also above average. People will definitely notice the fragrance when you walk past them. So this fragrance overall is not bad at all for the price. It's definitely a win. The only down side is that it's becoming very hard to get, with discounters not even having it in stock and people reselling it at a higher cost. If you can find it for less than $50, get it.

Neither Davidoff's best nor worst release. It mixes Sauvage and Invictus, therefore lacking a bit of an own character. It's a very uncomplicated, inoffensive fragrance that already got me compliments on the first day of use after blind buying it. Although I don't like it as much as the original Cool Water back in the day, I think this one will grow on me. I really tried to like Sauvage over the years, but it's just too heavy and synthetic to me, causing headache. Cool Water Pafrum seems like the ideal alternative. It's definitely a better release than Cool Water Intense and all the other weird flankers. After a good smelling I noticed that Cool Water Parfum hides the original Cool Water DNA somewhere in the background, which is nice, as Davidoff completely ignored the original with Cool Water Intense, hence causing huge disappointments. Nevertheless still waiting for a modernised and stronger Cool Water like many other Cool Water fans.

This does smell very similar to Dior Sauvage. To my nose it's like 80% there. It's definitely not as punchy as the one it's cloning and doesn't last as long but if you're looking for an affordable Sauvage copycat, this will do just fine. The opening has this strong ambroxan or something that smells kinda bad. Although after like 2 minutes it's thankfully gone. The performance is average, definitely not as long lasting as Sauvage EDT so you gotta be generous with the sprays. I had a small problem with my bottle, the cap is secured a bit too tightly, I was about to remove the whole atomizer assembly the first time I unpacked this thing. Quality control on their bottles doesn't seem to be top notch (my CW Intense bottle had a scratch on it), but hey this was 33 euros for 100ml I can let it pass if the scent is actually good (which it is). 7.8/10

It’s very strange to review this as a Cool Water flanker, since the original has such a specific vibe and this has very little connection to it, as far as I can tell. It’s definitely a blue fragrance, but more like an amber fougère, maybe? It definitely feels more like a Y by YSL kind of blue. Definitely not aquatic. I personally enjoy it, but there’s definitely something off in it that I can’t quite place. Like all of these flankers, it’s cheap, easy to wear, and has decent projection and longevity, though not a beast. Also, Cool Water is kind of definitively, superlatively a summer daytime fragrance. This one’s too dense for summer days—maybe more of a nighttime fragrance, and maybe not even for summer. Cool, but not Water.

Very nice scent, if you like this DNA. I think it beats Dylan Blue – I find it smoother and more well-composed, yet still has great performance. It's a winner; great for work and everyday wear. Personally, though, I don't love this DNA. There's a funk to the vetiver note in here that just doesn't sit quite right with me. But the biggest problem is price and availability; it can be difficult to find. And paying $50+ per 100ml is a bit hard too, given the many alternatives out there in the $35 range. QUESTION – I'm really curious how this compares to Cool Water Reborn EDP, if anyone has tried that one. Please comment.

Nothing unique, but a cheaper alternative to Dior Sauvage or lesser extent Prada Luna Rossa Carbon type scents. It may not be as refined as Sauvage but hardly anyone will be able to tell the difference when you wear this perfume especially in the dry down. In Australia it around $40 for 100ml, with this in the market now why spend money on overrated Sauvage. Another recent release from CK- "Defy" is also very similar to this perfume. For me this is perfect for casual wear in the evening or for the office. The projection is around 1 hour after that the scent is more closer to your skin with 5 hours of longevity.

I am a sucker for Davidoff scents and I buy almost all flankers of Cool Water. This one, of course has zero resemblance of the original Cool Water hence after sampling it I was hesitating to get one bottle but I got a very good deal a 100ml bottle for 19.95 euro. This bottle and colour juice is far by the best. Simply beautiful! Even just looking at it makes me feel happy. The smell itself is nothing groundbreaking. I have similar smelling juices however I am still getting back to this one and I use it 2-3 times per week. Lovely lemon and vetiver combo where the vetiver dominates in the drydown.

Your standard well-liked blue, aromatic, clean, fresh, typical “cologne” scent that’s pretty much impossible to not like. Wears somewhat transparent for a parfum, but its duration will get through a workday. Basically, a slow pitch right down the middle of the plate from Davidoff. I can quickly think of a dozen other fragrances that Cool Water Parfum smells very similar to... Except for the one we all want! Davidoff, please give us a stronger, deeper, richer, long-lasting version of the original! Rating 6.5/10

having tried all of the other (main) cool water flankers i literally has to give this one a shot. the OG is way more fresh and unique but doesn't perform good, this one on the other hand performs really really good, especially for a freshie! yes... it smells quite similar to Sauvage but with a twist and I think it's better blended and less offensive to the nose. very mass appealing and pretty much a safe choice all year round. totally worth the price albeit not that original...

A decent vetiver based fragrance. The vetiver is dominant with a strong lemon top note that lasts throughout. I could definitely pick up the pink pepper aspect too. Strong sillage and lasts for a long time. I can see how it could be compared with Sauvage but there really isn't much similarity. Sauvage is all about the ambroxan while this all about the vetiver. I suppose that there are some similarities with citrus and pink pepper top notes but that's it.

I bought 50ml bottle for like 20 dollars. Cheap price, smells good, reminds me a bit of Sauvage. I just really really wish it had more longevity. It has the same problem as the original Cool Water. This is probably for a warm weather only. If you need to go some place for a hour or two then this is perfect. After that you're gonna need to respray it. But hey, only 20 dollars and smells more expensive.

A less spicy Sauvage. It still retain the peppery nuance but it lacks the spicy and the metallic hit you get from Dior Sauvage. To me, this is what Sauvage would be if Dior decided to create a Fraiche version of Sauvage. Good safe office shower gel scents, longevity is average 5 hours and above. Projection is lacking since it sits so close to the skin after 2-3 hours of wearing.

Its like a smoother and creamier sauvage edt with less spice, slighty sweet, suits warm weather. Projection : 2+ hours Longevity : 8+ hours Initially spicy fresh creamy, in the dry down its fresh and creamy with very little spice. I think its discontinued or going to be, very soon. I hope they replace it with something similar if that happens as its good value for the money.

First fragrance I ever had. Really got me into fragrances. Lasts about 6 hours on the skin with decent projection. Received a fair few compliments with this fragrance. Invigorating woody scent followed with a light aquatic citrusy projection. Nothing special, but a must-have for the price range.

The wheel was definitely not reinvented with this fragrance. It is a very pleasant blue fragrance, not intrusive and not aggressive. Has LIGHT similarities with Sauvage (the emphasis is on "light"), does not have the sharpness of Sauvage but still a very good and cheap alternative.

Good budget fragrance, inoffensive and pleasant smelling. Great early spring fragrance imo, in warmer heat I would say it may be too much. Overall good for the price point and quality. would buy at a discount as you usually find Davidoff fragrances.

Funny, I was expecting something between Dior Sausage or Versace Dylan Blue but to me it has none of that. It's a hint of the old school Cool Water DNA with a soapy, clean, sort of a sweet twist. Performance and longevity are solid.
