Davidoff Amber Blend

Davidoff Amber Blend is in the same vein as the other members of the collection that I've tried, Leather Blend and Agar Blend, but with a fitting emphasis on the eponymous note of amber. It's amber-intensive but very spicy as well, no doubt due to the inclusion of cinnamon, though the rum accord is sharp, as well, to my nose, the primary sweetness, then, coming from the resins themselves. With the rum and cinnamon both in the mix, Amber Blend comes off a bit sharp, surely on the sharper side of sweet amber fragrances that I've tried. It's sweet, yes, but emphatically, practically overwhelmingly spicy. One needs to like the rum and cinnamon just as much as the amber to appreciate the whole blend. Surely that could've been the intention in its composition, though, a relatively acerbic offering to the comparatively smoother Agar and especially Leather Blends. Its performance is great, like Leather and Agar; it's a dense, cold-weather-leaning option. Found at the right price, a bottle (standard size of 100ml) could be a nice acquisition that would ostensibly last a user a while. It appears to never have been made available in US markets and is only sold in the Middle East, so acquiring it in the states seems to be a matter of using a secondary market or intermediary. Amber Blend is bold, well-done, and enjoyable, but is edged but out Agar Blend and especially Leather Blend. 8 out of 10

Amber, amber, amber! Amber Blend is absolutely true to its name. It smells like an almost unadulterated amber. Amber, as a note, is basically a vanillic, woody, rich smell. It doesn't exist as a natural material, unlike ambergris which is a whale secretion & gets confused a lot with amber. In Amber Blend you get what you are promised. Soft, woody, rich, mildly sweet amber. The amber facet is further enhanced by another ambery note in rum. And then it is spiced up with cinnamon. A soft, ambery, rich, woody, sweet, spicy scent. It has that Arabic theme to it. The Blend line has surly delivered with Leather Blend & Amber Blend. You can find them very affordable at discounters (~$45) & they are really worth the money. I would classify Blend line among the affordable niche-like class that people usually hunt for, that is headed by Bentley's Intense for men & Lalique's Encre Noire. A mature, cool weather, formal wear. Suits both genders, but leans a bit masculine. Amber Blend gets a "Love"

I love it! One of my favorite Amber frags. Amber Blend definitely carries the DNA from the Davidoff Blend line but is significantly different from the Leather and Agar Blend. This resinous beauty is driven by the Amber and Peru Balsam. I adore the spicy opening where Cinnamon seems to lead the way. It contains an underlying sweetness most probably derived from the rum undertone with a smoothness through the drydown from the background Sandalwood. Logevity and projection are above average with a good 3-4 hr push and another 4 hrs of solid performance. I own Leather Blend and find this much more resinous and detect no leather or oud in this frag. I'm thrilled to own this and put this in my top 10 of Autumn fragrances. PS. I purchased this from Fragrancenet so this juice has finally found its way to discounters and US markets!

TL;DR: Sweet, spicy amber with good performance. Similar to Leather Blend, as others have noted. As if Davidoff substituted the leather in Leather Blend with amber & called it "Amber Blend". Chance are you will like this one if you liked Leather Blend. The scent: starts with a blast of spicy sweetness. The sweetness dials down rapidly to reveal the powdery amber in the core but it never disappears. It remains like that, sweet spicy amber, for the rest of its life. Quite a lovely spicy combination. The performance: as with the rest of Davidoff's Blend collection, very good sillage & longevity wise. In short, a niche-quality amber release from Davidoff. PS: respect to Davidoff for releasing a niche private collection at a somewhat an affordable price. Unlike Armani, Bvlgari...etc.

I've received this as a gift, and I love it! It is a beautiful amber, quite spicy and smoky, very smooth and appealing. It is very very comfortable, the sillage is nice - just around me a few feet, and lovely enough to have received many compliments from people a few feet away, and it lasts extremely well..well into the evening from early in the morning. Really lovely - I suppose it's on the masculine side, but it really suits me. Definitely up with my favourites. It gives me a feeling of strength and courage to go for it! My husband loves it too, and it smells quite a lot more spicy and boozy on him. On me it's more smoky, with a very smooth cinnamon and sandalwood. Beautiful dry-down, soft, yet lovely and rich. Definitely gorgeous!

A good friend gave me a decant of this years ago. I have 5 cigar boxes full of decants that I've picked up along the years and always try to spray something in the morning I haven't given much wear. Every time I come across this decant, I spray it because it's so damn luxurious. It reminds me a bit of Robert Graham Fortitude but a little darker/resinous and a tad longer lasting. The resin/amber/spices are blended to perfection. I hate myself for not picking up a bottle when it could still be found. I need to do a deeper dive to find a bottle because this is absolutely amazing. Cheers!

Tried it last week in Dubai Mall. It's a nice smoky well done amber with a hint of spiciness on top. Performance and sillage is in the average range but it's a good intriguing fragrance. This will fall behind Leather Blend but definitely better than Agar Blend. Good attempt by the house considering the number of amber based perfumes from each and every house. It will not blow you away but it will definitely try to entertain you. It leans more towards masculine side but a woman with an attitude can pull this off.

Amber Blend is an elegant and beautiful scent to my nose. A dense, rich, resinous, and luxurious amber. Although amber is featured, is does not dominate the stage. Instead, spice, woods, and a touch of booziness all join in and add to the splendor of the fragrance. I get great projection and longevity on my skin. AB is very much a unisex fragrance, however, I find it leans a bit to the masculine side. AB works in either formal or casual attire. This one is worth a sample.

Less than $60 on the discount sites I'm sure that more folks will blind buy this gem. Don't get fooled by the amber name. It does have amber but this is more on the boozy and spicy side rather than the powdery amber than most are used to. This smells like some very high end stuff but at the fraction of the cost. Diehard amber fans won't enjoy this too much but if you are looking for a long lasting,elegant scent with the right amount of sillage then this is it.

My first bottle from davidoff blend collection. As others reviewer said, it surely resinous, ambery, and spicy. I also found a hint of sweetness comming from nutmeg, not overly sweet but something that made the composition well balanced together. For the lover of resinous fragrance this one definitely must have imho. Dont wait until this been discontinued and the price amped up. 10/10

Amber is one of my fave notes in fragrance and this one is such a comforting amber scent. Perfect for stay at home weekend, me time, and fully rest. An amber woody slightly spicy and boozy creation from Olivier Pescheux; with cinnamon, nutmeg, rum, peru balsam, and creamy sandalwood. The Blend Collection is worth to hunt because now it's so rare to be found.

I just got my bottle a couple of days ago and it smells amazing, but it does remind me of Calvin Klein One Shock. Let's just say, this is the niche version of CK One Shock. It's smooth and the blend of notes is simply stunning. It's a linear fragrance though.

Oh what a beauty! Niche luxury smell in a designer price! David has just effed Off the entire industry with this one! I just sprayed once on my hand and now I want to eat my hand! Beware! This fragrance has the power to turn you into a potential cannibal!

I regret selling my backup bottle. Now it is a rarity. Even at the hiked-up price, this is still worth it. It is a more wearable version of Myrrthe Imperiale. This is worth a blind buy. You will experience all the notes in a wonderous blend.

Great blend, I can smell all listed notes, all done just right! Good for amber beginners too as this is not just amber but a combination of amber with spicy-sweet-boozy combo. Must try!!!

Stunning beautiful aromatic warm resinous woody scent with cinnamon. Strong projection and sillage. Last for 2 days. I give it 4.5/5.0.

The notes are very different, but overall this gives me the same feel as M7 by Yves Saint Laurent with the difference being the Oud.

One of the best amber scents I've ever smelled. It is so groundbreakingly luxurious and lasts for a super long time on my skin.

با توجه به وضع بازار عطر تو ایران مجموعه بلند داویدوف مجموعه ارزشمندیه، کیفیت قابل قبول، قیمت منصفانه و سیاژ نسبتا خوب، عطرای این مجموعه رو ارزشمند می‌کنه، این مجموعه سودای بازگشت به دوران زینو (مؤسس برند، نه عطر زینو) رو داره، دورانی که این برند یکی از دغدغه‌هاش یافتن بهترین مواد خام بود (البته این بیشتر یه شعار تبلیغاتیه ولی در قیاس با قیمت می‌شه قبولش کرد). یه خصیصه خوب دیگه این مجموعه اینه که به اسم هر عطر مجموعه می‌تونید اعتماد کنید و هر عطر تقریبا شفاف همون فضایی رو بهتون ارائه می‌ده که اسم بهش ارجاع می‌ده، اینا در مورد آمبر بلند هم صدق می‌کنه و شما با یک عطر آمبری سرراست طرف هستین، آمبر در این عطر وارد هیچ بازی پیچیده‌ای نمی‌شه و شما با یه آمبر آشنا مواجه می‌شید، در مقابل عطرای آمبری‌ای مثل آمبر سولطان، آمبر فتیش، آمبر آبسولوت، آمبر کیسو و... این عطر کار پیچیده‌ای نیست. همون آمبر همیشگی، ترکیب لابدانوم، وانیل، تونکا، پروبالزام و صندل وود در کنار رام که یکی دیگه از جذابیت‌های این عطره برام. یه آمبر دنج، گرم، صمغی و نرم که رفته رفته حالتی کرمی/پودری می‌گیره، با وجهی فلورینتال و چوبی. آکورد چوبی آمبر بلند برام خیلی جذابه، یه چوب خنک مونده وسط گرما، بوی چوبی این کار توی درای‌داون یه حس خنکا وسط گرما بهتون می‌ده، مثل این می‌مونه وسط گرمای یزد و کرمان از دالان کوتاهی با سقف چوبی عبور کنید در واقع این خاصیت چوبه که بر خلاف بسیاری از مواد انسان ساز گرمای کمتری به خودش جذب می‌کنه. توی اپنینگ برای شامه آماتور مقداری وجه زنونه ممکنه داشته باشه اما با حضور دارچین و جوز هندی غلیظ و رایحه اسپایسی قوی و فضایی اورینتال و شیرین و تلخ توأم و یه مقدار ترشی قره‌قروت مانند با حذف ته‌بوی حیوونی قره‌قروت احتمال هر وجه زنونه‌ای از کار گرفته می‌شه. در کل عطر اونقدر شیرین نمی‌شه که آزاردهنده باشه و بوی نسبتا لوکسی بهتون می‌ده که برای استفاده روزانه نامنسبش می‌کنه، لباس رسمی و نیمه رسمی بهترین پوششه و بهترین فصل استفاده‌ش به نظر من پاییزه قبل از اینکه هوا به سمت زیر صفر و سرمای گزنده بره. من تست درستی از لدر بلند نداشتم، اما با همون تست گذرا ذهنم فوری رفت سمت اون کار با همه‌ی تعریفایی که از این عطر کردم لدر بلند رو یه پله کار بهتری می‌دونم البته شاید به خاطر علاقه‌م به کارای چرمی هم باشه تا حدی فضای دو کار برام اینطوری بود که انگار چرم رو جدا کردن و آمبر رو گذاشتن جاش.

I knew I was going to like this only by seeing the notes. It’s a sweet, slightly spicy, boozy amber. I kind of feel the Perù balsam note as well. Wow! The opening oddly reminds me of the Valentino Donna/Uomo Noir Absolu flankers. They are definitely not dupes or anything like that, but I’d say that they have a similar vibe, and if you like one, you’ll like the other. Cold weather scent, longevity and projection are pretty good for the price and the fragrance is 100% unisex. It’s really sweet on me, especially the dry down, and for that reason I think I’d like it more on myself than on a man, but that’s just a personal opinion. All in all, great fragrance! 🥃

Resinous, dense and somewhat 'chewy' Amber goodness with a sprinkling of aromatic Cinnamon and Nutmeg to ensure it doesn't feel too much like a weighted blanket. Not overly boozy or sweet, very well composed, smells like it competes with Ambers far more expensive. Performance is excellent, not a huge projection but a dense aura surrounds the wearer. A hidden gem IMO

This is legitimately spectacular. Slightly spicy, not-too-sweet resinous amber with some rum. I don’t know what tier the materials used here would be considered, but it is masterfully blended. Highly recommended, and I’m not even the biggest amber fan. 4/5

I tried it couple of times in dubai, the starting smell is too heavy for me, i did not like it however when it settles down after half or one hour it becomes one of the best scents of a perfume. Longevity and sillage are both amazing amazing.

At first I didn't care for it much, but during this winter I'm giving it a little bit of wear and I'm really starting to appreciate it. Changed my rating from OK to a Like.

Opening is very sharp to my nose. Overall background/dry down wasn't too bad but that sharpness off the top ruined it for me. Overall, pretty average experience with this.

The Blend line is very similar to the Ferrari Essence line in that there are many similarities and common supporting notes that many of the line share with one another, the primary difference being the one hero note for which the specific blend is named and perhaps a few supporting notes - but you will see apparent similarities between each blend. I think the main differences between the lines are more worth addressing that the similarities between each similar hero blend. There is a bit of a quality difference reflected in the performance of the two lines, but aside from that the Ferrari Essences are generally lighter and drier and the Davidoff Blends are darker, boozier and richer. My first day wearing this and I got effusive praise from a female co-worker and a compliment from a woman in an auto shop waiting room. Even though this is not an overpowering fragrance it seems to have exceptional sillage. I'm not one to wear a fragrance based on others' reactions - I usually wear a fragrance because I love it, but all cards on the table women seem to absolutely love this fragrance.

Warm and heavy, Amber Blend turned out not to be what I initially expected. I’m going to reveal my fragrance naïveté here, but the assumption in my head was that this would be something amberwood-y with a modern, mass appeal aesthetic. Instead, Amber Blend is much richer and certainly more muscularly masculine than anticipated. I quickly realized I associate Davidoff with Cool Water too closely. While others are describing Amber Blend as a lovely, elegant scent, I get a bit of a different impression. To me, the scent has the same impact as walking into your favorite dive bar. There’s a boozy note in here that can tickle the nose like a stiff drink, backed up by smoky, resinous accords. My imagination goes to the bar all the single guys congregate in at Christmas time without a single woman present. Manly stuff. The guy that wears this does not go out looking for compliments. Instead, he’s confident that his presence alone is able to draw attention.

This is my first amber-themed fragrance. I'm quite impressed with the spicy, smoky and sweetly olfactory feel of "Amber Blend". Tho not original (as this frag is redolent of "Royal Amber" by S.T. DuPont), it has this undisguised niche quality as it ticks all the right boxes: longevity, projection and silage. This would drive me to buy more Amber themed frags! I’m scared to see what this costs now assuming it’s rare now...I just see where it said one item avail on eBay..I didn’t pay much mine when it was brand new & when I wear it I think about how underestimated of an amber fragrance this is & comes with a Dior quality atomizer & how I’d never want to be without it..But will have to look & find out if that will be so, Or become a once in a blue moon wear.

Spicy woody amber with the twist that the rum and peru balsam notes give. The whole composition is well blended. Warm, strong, autumn scent. IMO, it is 100% for men, it smells very masculine on me. Great perfume, worth the price. Scent: 8/10 Sillage: 7/10 Longevity: 7,5/10 Uniqueness: 6/10 (there are more complex and unusual scent IMO, yet this is not the basic mainstream Sauvage either.)

Like the Leather Blend edition, this is another class act with high quality ingredients, and excellent performance. Again I think it's niche quality, which is remarkable as you can pick it up in London at around only £75 for a 100ml bottle. This one is a touch more feminine smelling than the Leather Blend, making it more unisex. Extremely highly recommended for amber lovers (e.g. me)!

Very similar to Leather Blend but with a little extra amber/resins. It really does smell like Davidoff used the same "base" for Leather Blend and Amber blend. I like them both though. Both very dense and thick (thats what she said). Perfect for those cold winter nights.

Another hit from this Blend Line, this is very similar to myrrh imperial but less sharp and less smoky. The quality is definitely there, great juice and great presentation and it seems that they upgraded the sprayer!
