Davidoff Leather Blend

@zakkarah, I totally agree with targeted fragrance for certain parts of the world. The marketing strategy of this juice limits the exposure which reduces sales. Now about this phenomenon juice...last year since mid October, I've been trying to get my hands on a bottle. Finally I found someone who was able to sale me 100ml NIB. As a blind purchase, I wasn't sure if I would like it or appreciate the fragrance. It may not be Kilian, ADP or Creed but Coty surprised me with a EDP of this juice. The aroma of leather combined with amber has a very distinct herbal/spicy vib with a definite bite to it. Pepper really gives this juice depth as well a real attractive masculine aroma. Longevity and Silage is excellent lasting over 8hrs when I sprayed it 2x on my skin. Finally thoughts, I have to be honest, I wasn't sure if I would like this fragrance. After spraying it on my skin, I get this tangy vib. When it settles I enjoy the aroma of leather combined with amber and pepper which awakens my sense. There just a hint of saffron adding to the rich/dark spicy aroma. To Coty allow everyone to enjoy this fragrance....9/10 Additional information Dec14/16 When I spray this juice on my skin, I feel a tangy/balsamic almost bitter bit to this juice within 10min. Slowly the aroma of leather emerges and the bitter /tangy bit slowly goes fades away. It starts off weird but give it several tries before saying no to it...it's certainly not your typical leather aroma.

The guy at Sephora said " let me show you this, opps, we actually don't have it, it's new cologne from Davidoff, amazing but unfortunately we don't have here but you could try in other branch. meanwhile, why don't you try this 'Chopard Rose Malaki'" i tried it, it was nice, the opening straight rose and the oud come instantly after with very strong base, i like but i thought notes are not blending quite right, it feels like you're wearing two colognes simultaneously. Couple of hours passed on skin, the smell was diluted and not quite the same what i smelled in the store. i guess it's my skin only. Now, the same day i had a chance to pop into another branch where i got to try "Davidoff Leather Blend". It opens straight on saffron and then amber and leather hit you on spot and seamlessly blend together. I still got some Oud scent, i have no idea how but i guess it's just from the blend of amber, very subtle, little bit sweet while the leather stays in the background it has very good silage. It's been almost 2 hours after trying it while I'm writing this review and i can still smell it on my skin. Most importantly, the consistency, the way i smelled it on opening is similar to the way smells now. Bottle and packaging are fine. I give it 7/10 considering 8 is great!

I've had this for a few years now and, though I still don't often have occasion to wear it--I find it quite opulent and definitely dressy--I do still adore it. I'm not sure that any other fragrance has impressed me so much at first spray. This one is just so full and strong, without smelling like an olfactory representation of the Tunguska explosion incident of 1908. I do not feel that the component listed as leather in this should instead be called oud. It would certainly have to be a very approachable oud. The power is there. To my nose, the fecal, barnyard, medicinal and animalic aspects of different ouds are not, and so much of the texture here is coming not from any wood or leather accord but from the amber. I find it a little baffling that people will spend half their time on pages for oud/"oud" scents saying that there's no oud in those (almost always correctly), yet when, for reference purposes, I come to the page for a fragrance at least leathery enough to mention the stuff in its name and I run a page search for "oud", I get more hits than Taylor Swift. 🤷🏻

Right off the bat I’ll say this, to me, is really a fantastic release! It’s one of those fragrances I had to wait for a long time before trying it and it was totally worth the wait! Davidoff’s Leather Blend has a dominant dry, green and sharp (from papyrus with its very distinct smell), peppery/spicy rose, which could easily remind you of rosewood, maybe as an ode to their classic Zino, and it could also be very appealing to a fan of the hashish note in a fragrance like Nasomatto’s Black Afgano. Underneath it is a leather or I should say a warm, rough, textured, brown suede note and a lot of resins, barely sweet, maybe benzoin to somewhat round up the bitter, spicy papyrus-rose combo! This is a very unique scent. The only thing I could compare it to, without smelling the same, is Aoud Vanille by Mancera. Leather Blend is outstanding in Fall and fresher Spring days. It is a staple now in my collection and I’m very glad to own it in part because it’s not the easiest one to find! It is by far my favorite from that brand.

Very nice leather and amber scent, with a really nice, long-lasting drydown. Punches way above its weight. I enjoy this more than the Dior Ambre Nuit I wore jus prior. Leather Blend is very nice in both scent profile and longevity. Why o why do houses discontinue great fragrances. But the primary comparison for Davidoff Leather Blend, for me, is Tom Ford Ombre Leather. Suprised Ombre Leather isn't listed as a comparison. They are very similar. It's a LOT closer to Ombré Leather than it is to Floris Leather Oud, which is listed in the "this perfume reminds me of...." section above. I have all three. So I sprayed both Leather Blend and Ombre Leather on different arms to compare. Ombre Leather may be ever so slightly more complex and "elegant". Leather Blend a tad more straightforward. Ombre Leather has a white floral accord listed on Fragrantica near the top, and I think that is a noticeable difference. Both very good creamy, photorealistic high-end boutique leather scents.

I have been waiting forever for a new good davidoff fragrance! Silver shadow and the original cool water are the only ones I really like but silver shadow is somewhat shy while Cool water is all about summer fun and timeless aquatics! When I first saw this new release for davidoff I knew it would be good! Perfect bottle, perfect packaging and perfect notes lured me in instantly and I was really waiting for a chance to try it! And today, it finally came! The bottle is gorgeous, the scent is... Breathtaking! Amazing fragrance indeed. Good work Davidoff and finally a fine release worthy of a fine house! Leather, Saffron, and rose are really there and the amber dances in the background! A very very fine fragrance. Elegant, classy, classic with a modern touch, Leather blend is the bolder silver shadow with more sillage and longer lasting power. Confident and cocky in some way! Just perfect! 9/10

This is an amazing juice from the house of Davidoff IMO. I believe Davidoff may be going for a Tom Ford Private Blend type of set up where you can mingle the scents together to create your own fragrance. Or maybe I am reading to much into this line... there are three scents in this line Leather Blend (Awesome juice), Amber Blend (Waiting on) and Agar Blend. The Agar Blend on its own is bottle worthy based on the depth of the sweet leather notes with slight spices here and there. Now if you layer or "blend" the Leather Blend and Agar Blend you end up with Tom Ford Extreme. I have all three juices and you honestly can't tell them apart. Now I know a lot of people don't like layering and what not just throwing that out there for everyone... On it's own merits I find this to be a winner due to the price being well under $100 US for a 100 ml bottle and the quality. Enjoy!

The much-hyped Davidoff Leather Blend achieves in a leather fragrance one of the expressions I like most--a sweeter, less animalic leather than leans closer to a sumptuous gourmand than a gritty leather experience. A mix of leather, amber, rose, and black pepper, it's mainly sweet and resinous but has a but the rose and pepper lend, respectively, floral and spice to the mix. Usage is primarily cold weather, the usual attribute of fragrances involving leather, but it's not so dark that it couldn't be enjoyed on summer nights. And it's surely unisex, though I imagine it was originally developed with women in mind. Performance is quite good, above average for an EDP without being extreme. Still, the value is excellent, at $65 for a 100ml bottle on Notino currently. This is definitely an "instant love" for me, and I bottle I want to acquire. 8 out of 10

My oh my! There are perfumes, every time you put your nose on them, you are still thinking: "I can't believe how good this is!". This is dark, very dark! Oud lovers be aware! The burnt, stinky, gasoline leather awaits you! This has the typical "Montale" slightly powdery oud vibe. The amber here has a bit of vanilla like undertones. To be honest, I do not detect any rose(thanks god not another oud-rose combo!); or maybe is so well blended, that the rose just amps the leather note with a pinch of acrid menthol? This fragrance is so dense, that it will hit you like a wall and yet it gives me no headache (go easy on that trigger though!). Masterful blend with power and perfect longevity. Definitely a night fragrance. It's been sold in Germany for 35€ lately and this is for an EDP concentration! Do not postpone and get it, guys!

I’d been trying to find this for ages with little success until I found a sample recently and it didn’t disappoint. Leather blend is an opulent mixture of heady, middle eastern vibes the most prominent note being oud, heavy sweet and smooth vanilla/amber and an opening of nose tingling saffron with a low lying rose note in the background. This combination absolutely conjures a leather note to me and very nice it is too but it could quite as easily have oud in the title and I wouldn’t bat an eyelid. I really like it but I can’t say it’s original, I’ve smelled quite a few like this but I have to say I don’t care & I love it. If it is cheaper than many fragrances like this, it certainly doesn’t smell that way, giving leather blend a deserved feel of high quality.

I LOVE this opening. Saffron, ozone and some slight gasoline.with an animalic tinge. Afterwards it becomes more animalic and the leather comes forward. Into the drydown and the leather turns slightly dusty and powedery. I also get some wood in the base. Davidoff has some thow away fragrances so it's easy to forget they are a luxury Swiss cigar maker. Zino Davidoff was so serious about quality he burned 100,000 of his expensive cuban cigars because he didn't feel they were good enough. This fragrance is my favorite of the blends collection, with agarwood being second, followed by amber and wood. Best leather fragrance I have ever smelled. Needs 10 sprays. Moderate projection for 3-4 hours, then soft. The amber sweetens the leather a bit. When you compare this to Tom Ford's Ombre Leather, TF is more of a pure leather with a burnt edge and the Davidoff is slightly sweeter. Ombre Leather has better projection and user enjoyment. Both are worth owning. This is very different from Valentino Uomo Intense in that Valentino has a prominent vanilla and iris emphasis in addition to the leather. Both are excellent fragrances and also worth owning. TF Tuscan Leather is much harsher than any of the 3 mentioned above. I have never smelled Acqua di Parma Colonia leather which is supposed to be another classic leather scent.

An amazing just slightly sweet leather that is imo way more masculine than feminine. The blend is perfect and three notes are easily to be separated: saffron, amber, and the main player: leather! The rose note is hardly, if not, to be detected imo. The leather note is a little rough in smell but stil smooth, elegant and modern and it's rounded to a slight oriental smell by the amber! Projection is average after a heavy start and longevity is like 10 hrs. People who like Tuscan Leather or Knize Ten and want a good masculine smelling leather that is more done in an oriental (amber) way than raspberry sweet (TL) or floral-amber-vanilla (KT ) can't go wrong with this one! Finally a real winner by Davidoff! Rating: 9.5/10

Ok guys let me tell you a story about Leather Blend. I blind bought the bottle at around $78, on an evening I sprayed it 3 sprits, one on the neck, chest and inner wrist. This stuff is potent, very potent. Lasted on my skin for 3 days, this after showering several times and wore Versace Eros, showered again, the Eros disappeared but still Davidoff Leather Blend was there still smelling on my skin. My girlfriend says all the clothes I wore in those 3 days smell the scent of Leather blend even though I wore Davidoff Leather Blend only on one evening. A BEAST. One should go easy on the trigger. One or two light sprays. That's it PROJECTION 9/10 SILAGE 10/10 LONGEVITY 10/10 SCENT 8/10 OVERALL 9/10

I can easily understand that some scents can be overwhelming and even nauseating even in small or let's say - right amounts, but it often happens that people can't find using the product. It is finese that matters when it comes to satisfying our (refined?) senses; food, drink, touch, sounds, smells... What good is having the finest dishes if you eat them incorrectly - too cold/hot or something else wrong... even the finest melodies would become unpleasant if we play them too loud! For example, in comments further down I read that Davidoff Leather needs to be sprayed 9-10 times!... Maybe it's just a prank to get someone to do it, but I dare not imagine the result.

This is "The Shit" and I mean that in an entirely good way! As a stand alone fragrance, Davidoff Leather Blend displays an understated elegance, exclusively found in private club back rooms. This simplistic sophistication is precisely why this fragrance exceeds "signature worthy" status and distinguishes it as a timeless classic. Leather Blend is so symmetrically luxurious it is ideally constructed as a layering superstar. Don't let this amazing juice pass you by and while you're at it you better get a back-up bottle or three!

Very beautiful, good, soft, little powdery, long lasting and a gentleman fragrance. A 85-95 $ for 100ml is worth buying. Late autumn and winter fragrance. I couldn't hold my self not buying it, when the gem was just launched. Very sophisticated, not a head Turner but your presence will be loved. For age above 35years. Office use with a cool environment 100% Night dinner Parties/Gathering. 70-80% Casinos 60-75% Discos 10-20% Resturant dinners 80-90% / lunch 30-35%. You will enjoy it.

Got my bottle from ebay today, the perfume is delightful and smooth, and it is long lasting on my hand, as the name says the leather is very dominate, and somehow it reminds me of something i already have in my collection, therefore i was not so impressed and the fact that the seller had used a good 12 ml from the bottle without telling me just made me kinda angy at the whole package. But at the end of the day this is a beautiful perfume, dear i say davidoffs best ever.

This is one of the most beast mode fragrances I have in my collection, it can last on clothes from winter to the next, well, of course, this can only be worn in winter, which is why I will miss wearing it so much. it projects beastly on my skin, I get countless compliments because indeed it smells amazing. I don't understand How someone can say it doesn't perform well. anyway, could be a bad bottle or wasn't stored properly? but there is no way this is a weak fragrance.

Simply amazing! A very good, not at all sweet, leather. Just rounded with amber and saffron, plus a drop of rose oil. For those who love Amouage Opus VII - for instance. Not identical, but similar - and less smoky. Definitely the best release from Davidoff since Zino and Cool Water. Also, a niche product of a nose - Ch R - who until now worked for designers and celebrities. Very potent - it's an eau de parfum. Glad to have it. A deserved 9/10

As reviewers have mentioned the leather in this takes a back seat. It's there initially, then gone, then comes back at 8:00am like your hangover. I also agree that this has a big similarity to 24 gold, but not as sweet. Not a bad fragrance, but to make it a great one it should have been loud, unapologetic. Unfortunately it's a skin scent within an hour. The only hope I have got it is that it layers well with Gucci guilty absolute 6/10

An absolutely beautiful, rich and luxurious scent. Had this been released by TF private blend or Amouage, people would be paying crazy money for this. Fortunately, I bought it a while ago for $50 and am thoroughly enjoying my time with it. I will probably buy several backup bottles too. This will stay in my collection and fall/winter rotation forever. Another glorious entry from Davidoff; their best since Zino. 9/10.

A very gentleman smell i assume. The first sprays gives me leather and rose notes. i do not have any issues about its sillage and longevity, works great!! Really loves it. The only drawback is you cannot wear it occasionally without an image that suit with the perfume. Not very suitable with office environment unless you are some kind of CEO that went to the office wearing suits with private room.

BEAST MODE fragrance when sprayed on clothes. Today is Wednesday (15th August 2018), i sprayed this on Sunday(12th August 2018) behind ears with some sprits on collar of shirt, did not wash shirt and wore the shirt today (Wednesday 15th August, 2018), it over powered Dior Sauvage EDT I wore as SOTD. BEASTTTT! My current favorite. Makes me feel composed and balanced, I love it!

This is the most exquisite men's perfume! Beautiful leather and rose, with definitely a very oudish smell, which makes it very very deep and smoky and delicious. It's my husband's favourite perfume. I love it, and wear it myself sometimes. It's really strong and masculine - I love that!!! It's delectable!!! And the bottle is the most magnificent thing!!! Superb!!!

Oh my God, Amazing cozy, Rich and deep. just amazing, I love it. Bottle looks fancy. it lingers around you for the whole day, lasts in my cloths for Days and Days. it never goes away until you wash your cloths. I love it. not easy to find. if you found it somewhere, buy 3 bottles and keep them. i have a feeling they will be even harder to find in the future.

@Rerik There is hardly any (if at all) oud in this fragrance. What you mainly smell is sweetened leather by the amber and rounded by the saffron, pepper and a little rose in a beautiful way. Leather comes in many many forms and not only the rough kind like eg. Knize Ten. I smelled many ouds but those are not like this at all. Rating: 9.5/10

Every year i get a new leather based fragrance for the winter, thinking it will dethrone this one... i probably have 10 or more leather based fragrances by now... After a couple of weeks of trying the new thing, I always end up going back to this... by far the most complimented (by women) fragrance in my collection

This is straight up leather with a hint of the urine leather tanning stalls in India. Just a little sharpness that is not completely buttery smooth. My holy grail of leathers is Maitre Cuir Fetiche, Lancome Cuir de Lancome and Serge Lutens Daim Blonde but this is probably a close fourth contender. Like new shoes.

I bought all 4 perfumes in this collection and I can attest that this Leather blend is the best one out of all. Absolutely loving this fragrance and it's a must have for me! Nothing else I own smells similar. I love the mysterious character it projects. Just splendid!

Picked this up on ebay for £30. Very good leather fragrance same bottle as my silver shadow. Sillage is strong for first 3 hrs on me then close to skin, but its very elegant and well done fragrance

I think this is how to smelled a Gentlemen back to the 18th century. Elegant Manly Strong but well blended 15+hours at my skin. Only for colder days, and for suits or leather wearing. 10/10

This is called leather blend but on first sniff I got oud without any doubts and made me wonder if I had picked a wrong bottle. It is strong but nothing extraordinary or with a WOW factor.

best davidoff in terms of quality and performance its unique . masculine . Elegant nice combination between leather and amber and i think i get a little oud in it beautiful 9/10

A warm, spicy leather smell with saffron-softened edges. If you are a fan of spices or leather, Davidoff's Leather Blend is a must-try.

This one takes a. Little while to get use to. Don't write a review after initial smell from a sample or if you just bought it and sampled it for a day. Well, don't do that ever..but I'm just trying to emphasize that fragrances like this one just will need to give it a few wearings to really "feel" what is trying to be accomplished if you are thinking to yourself "oh it's davidoff so I bet it going to smell like a leather jacket of something.." Wrong. This is like something I would have expected to come out of a niche house to be honest. There's definitely quality ingredients being used and there's definitely a great blend of notes here. I detect leather and saffron here with some Amber or something making it a little sweet but this isn't a sweet type of fragrance if that makes since. I'm more of a ch men type of leather fragrance lover so I am going to pass on this for that reason, but if you are the type that goes for ysl-noble leather or tom ford Tuscan leather, than do yourself a fav and check this out. Great bang for buck and it will hang with them frags on the longevity aspect.

Leather note is quite clear. Nice enough scent but too sweet & too spicy for me. Like but don't love. This scent is tantalizingly close to being a success for me, but just goes a little too far into fruitcake territory with its sweet spices. I mean, leather and fruitcake? What were they thinking? Bondage baking? I have a horror of fragrances like Paco Rabanne 1 Million and Scentstory 24 Gold Oud Edition and unfortunately the sweetness & spiciness of this scent remind me of those. If you don't dislike 24GOE or PR1m, you will probably like Leather Blend a lot. And if you like getting dressed up in leather bondage gear and baking a fruitcake, you will LOVE this fragrance. Might suit young guys in their late teens and 20s, but not so good for more mature men. UPDATE: My girlfriend really likes this scent, so I gave it to her. I might need to spend more time observing her in the kitchen in case she gets the urge to bake...

با سلام و احترام یک کار خوب مردانه خصوصا برای کسانی که از بوی چرم لذت می برند بواسطه نت های زعفران و فلفل و رز و کهربا و و بالانس خوب آنها رایحه از نفوذ خوبی برخوردار است رایحه ای گرم و چرمی زعفران و فلفل بعد از چرم بیشترین قدرت را در این عطر دارند در استارت اولیه یک لحظه ذهنم معطوف سلطان ادکلنهای مردانه ام سون از برند ایو ساین لارن افتادم اما بعد از گذشت حدود پنج دقیقه رایحه چرم با قدرت تمام خود را نشان داد در حالی که بوی خوش زعفران و کمی فلفل هم در پس زمینه آن به مشام می رسید ولی همچنان شما فقط رایحه چرم را بیشتر احساس می کنید بعد از گذشت حدود بیست دقیقه به بعد ممکن است برایتان مارلی پگاسوس یکی از بهترین مردانه های با دوام و پر قدرت را تداعی نماید چرمی و گرم برای فصول سرد زمستان کار مناسبی است و حتی برای فصول دیگر شیک و خاص است مردانه و کلاسیک با تقدیم احترام عطر مهرداد

Definitely a banger !!! High quality, inexpensive and nothing like anything else. I bought this at Dubai Duty Free. I don't use this everyday but when I do, it makes me feel like a rich guy. I remember spraying from the tester at the Duty Free shop and when i boarded the flight at around 2 in the morning, I instantly got 2 compliments. We were about 2 hours into the flight and over at the bar I got another compliment from a lady older than me. If people have bad reviews for it, then it's probably cuz of their aversion to leather. This is not a run of the mill scent. Strictly leather and definitely a performer. Also, this is a personal, private kind of a fragrance. Very sophisticated. Dated, used sofa kind of leather. Classy stuff. If you like leather, get this ASAP !

I've been sampling a lot of leather fragrances lately, and this is my favorite so far. I find it much more pleasant than the Dunhill or Memo leathers. I haven't tried Tom Ford yet, but I will. It starts off rather dense, and it's difficult to distinguish individual scents, but that's not necessarily a bad thing if the overall effect is a good one. In time, it settles into a warm, dry, rosy leather scent. Be warned, though. This has NO projection. It become a skin scent almost immediately. I'll have to try doubling the number of sprays next time. This might be the weakest fragrance I've ever tried.
